The food is excellent. Bacon is applewood smoked and sausage is great too. I order the volcano every time. Claudia was our server and I would give her five out five stars.

Initially I wanted to give this place 4 stars but I had a situation and it'll bring it down. The service was great, I forgot the name of our server but she was very sweet & attentive. I got the 4 piece fried chicken meal substitute mashed potatoes (10/10) my husband got some sort of burger with avocado sub fries for mashed (7/10) and we also got a banana bread pudding French toast to share (100/10) my toddler got a grilled cheese & he said it was cheesy and yummy (9/10) When I took my son to the restroom, as we were about to leave the stall - we came face to face with a male worker, inside the ladies room, cleaning. I didn't hear any knocking or any announcement of such - so it shook us a bit. I felt a little uncomfortable. He kept cleaning around us as we were washing our hands. It was not busy outside whatsoever in the restaurant so I'm not sure why he didn't just wait outside til we were done. I have girl cousins who sometimes use the restrooms by themselves and idk how I would feel if a male employee was in there with them. I called the store a few days later & they said they'd talk to the team about it but I'm just still shook since that's never happened to me before.

First time at any of these locations, I was invited as part of a large group. We had a table towards the back that seated our group with a little privacy. While everyone was arriving the server, who was all alone began serving coffee and water to everyone. Once everyone arrived our orders were taken. I ordered the black bear build your own breakfast with 2 scrambled eggs, 2 pieces of thick cut bacon and biscuits and gravy. When the plate arrived the biscuits were larger than I expected and super filling. It all in was a great experience.

We went in after our hike Sunday morning. We were able to walk in and go straight to the counter. The service is five star very friendly and super quick in getting us our drinks and taking our order. Place was clean in our area although you have to deal with the front house noise of all the people being taken to their table. Food wise great portion for the price. I believe my classic plate was about $15. I was craving hash brown and it hit the spot. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is that it came out a bit on the just warmer side like it sat for just a bit and I've had more flavorful Benedicts. Overall good experience

Great diner food here! Not a plate full of dripping grease here! Unlike two other popular diner chains... Massive portions at a reasonable price. Try the bear claw! Service was good and friendly. Great ambiance with the bears.

Our server was Amanda and she was so friendly and sweet. Food was delicious. Had the tri tip, California burger, and apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream...all yummy

Nice diner atmosphere with plenty of seating and food options. Server was pleasant and food arrived quickly. Patty melt was flavorful and onion rings were nice and crunchy. Very reasonably priced compared to some other places. Super busy on weekends but wait times are not bad. Great for a nice breakfast

Cute décor with wooden accents and various items on display, giving the place a cozy vibe. Ordered bear's choice takeout--over easy eggs were cooked correctly and impressively stayed intact during transport. French bread was soft. However, no utensils were included in the takeout bag. Service was average, and overall, the food was just okay

We took our dad here for Father's Day. Customer service was great restaurant was really clean. Our waitress was funny and very sweet. We were sat pretty quickly play star drink orders by the time she came back with our drinks we were placing our food order. Everything came out in a timely manner again she checked on us and made sure everything was OK Food was good, very big portions. Everyone enjoy themselves would definitely come back here again.

The food was absolutely amazing and left me full for the whole day. I came to this fine establishment on a early Sunday morning. This place seems to attract many boomers; which is fine. The coffee was great and I even got some to go. The service was great, and fast. For the price you cannot go wrong with this place. I highly recommend it!.

Okay, so when we walked in here on a Sunday morning and the WHOLE world was congregating here, we figured, this place has to be halfway decent for there to be such traffic. Halfway decent doesn't even BEGIN to describe it - this place is the BOMB DOT COM! If you love your serving portions the size of your head, and for the everything on the plate to still feel thoughtfully delicious, then this is the place to be. Mom got the veggie omelette and my husband got the seasonal pancakes - both absolutely LOVED their food. I chose a bowl of creamy grits with a biscuit as a side, and I tell you, the biscuit is damn near the size of a football, so it was a meal in and of itself. The grits were perfect and the biscuit is absolutely to die for!!! Highly recommend this joint....

Cheerfully conversing diners in booths and folks bellied up to the bar filled up the cozy space. Homey country style decorative touches, strings of white lights, leathery booths, and wood panels create a warm and rustic atmosphere. We came at the tail end of dinner and sadly, we missed the prime rib as they were sold out (get here early for prime rib & close to the action booth seating!). However, we enjoyed our meals, and the service was spot on. Now, this is not a handcrafted cocktail bar experience. This is a what-you-came-for generous pour over ice with your choice of mixer, and they'll just keep coming until you say otherwise. Our waitress, Tiffany, was super personable, friendly, here there & everywhere, and completely at ease with every guest she interacted with. But the main reason we were here was for the fabled karaoke! Roger kicks it off and keeps it rolling. The singers' choices ran from golden era standards to epic rock ballads and everything in between. Sing along, clap, dance in your seat or in the aisle - everybody joins in. There was a great feeling of bonhomie and camaraderie through music here. Whether you're this side of pro or off key with enthusiasm, this is the place for you! Everyone is a star here. Good food, friendly service, stiff drinks, friendly folks, great group of regulars and newbies...bring your positive energy and come on over to the Cock-a-Doodle for a thoroughly fun night out!

We decided to come here on Easter, and surprisingly, it wasn't busy at all. Our waiter was very kind and even offered to take a picture for us, which was a really nice touch. The breakfast portions were very hearty. I ordered the Hobo skillet and honestly couldn't finish it--it was a lot of food. I was also given biscuits and gravy, but unfortunately, the gravy was cold, which was disappointing. My hubby felt the same way. My daughter ordered the stuffed French toast and seemed to really enjoy it. Overall, a mixed experience--great service and generous portions, but the cold gravy was a letdown.

We waited a few minutes and asked for the creamer. We then realize we didn't have silverware, so we asked for that and waited - again. We placed our order and we received our food, except I got a different flavor of pancakes and not the ones I ordered. Why would the server even bring out the wrong pancakes to me and tell me they made the wrong one, but it's good. Based on how long things were taking I opted to just keep them. My friend's food came 5 minutes after. She asked for salsa and that took 10 minutes to arrive because 2 servers forgot. Then we needed napkins, we had to ask for those. We had to ask for everything multiple times and that is worse than getting the wrong flavored pancakes. I hope to never come here again. The service is subpar. I want to eat comfortably, not have to ask and wait for utensils, napkins, coffee refills, or salsa.

Came in recently to celebrate a girlfriend's birthday with a quick breakfast, and it was a nice, easy spot for that. The place seemed clean, service was good, and our food came out in a timely manner, which I always appreciate. For what you get, the portions and overall experience are solid. The breakfast was actually pretty delicious. I wouldn't say anything has ever wowed me, but I've also never had a bad experience here, which says a lot. I tried the chilaquiles for the first time and they just weren't my favorite. The sauce didn't really come together for me, but I still ate some of it. I'd probably skip that next time and try something else on the menu. Overall, it's a cool, reliable spot. Definitely somewhere I'd come back to when I want a simple, no-stress breakfast.

Despite knowing Mother's Day is busy, the poor service we received had nothing to do with how crowded the restaurant was. Our server only had a couple of tables yet still seemed disengaged and uninterested in her job. She never told us about the blackboard specials, didn't check on us, and never refilled our drinks. Some of our orders came out incorrect, and the kids' plate was brought out last, which made it hard for our family to enjoy the meal together. For the nearly 200 dollars we spent, this felt like a complete waste of money on what was supposed to be a special occasion. On top of that, this location has really gone down in both quality and service compared to past visits, which makes the experience even more frustrating. I understand that holidays can be challenging for restaurants, but basic communication and attentiveness were missing during our visit. Only thing that went well was my reservation made it so I didn't have to wait 2 hours or whatever their wait was.
