Hidden Gem Alert! If you're looking for real homemade Mexican food that tastes like it came straight from abuelita's kitchen, this is the spot you need to visit! Yes, it's a little hole-in-the-wall and the neighborhood might make you second guess for a second -- but DON'T let that stop you. The moment you walk inside, you're welcomed like family, and the vibe completely changes. It's warm, friendly, and smells absolutely amazing. I ordered the Cabeza Plate -- not even on the menu -- and they were kind enough to make it for me anyway. And let me tell you... it was out of this world. Tender, flavorful, juicy... every bite felt like a trip to Mexico. You can taste the love and tradition in every dish. This is a family-owned restaurant and you can feel it -- from the way they treat you to the way they prepare your food. Everything is made with care and pride. It's rare to find a place this authentic and special. If you're tired of cookie-cutter restaurants and want something REAL, memorable, and delicious, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Trust me -- once you take your first bite, you'll understand exactly what I'm talking about.

Tucked away in Pomona, this quaint spot is a true gem. The dining area was clean with plenty of seating and happy to say the restrooms were clean as well. We visited on a Friday during Lent so opted for a meatless meal, chile rellenos (poblano peppers stuffed with cheese), rice and beans. They were delicious and huge, and also a very nice presentation. Want to also mention their complimentary chips are warm and toasty and salsa was great too. If you're in the area, don't miss the chance to sample their generous portions and welcoming atmosphere. My family and I will definitely be back, thanks Alfredo!

Forewarning before you go. It is on a sketchy street and there were two bums that look like they had some mental health issues but that didn't scare us off since we work in the area anyway. This place is amazing!. I came here with the girlfriend for a lunch date since we both work around the area. I ordered the chili relleno and hard shelled chicken taco with rice and beans. That food was so good. I feel like you can tell a lot about a restaurant if they rice and beans and sauces that are homemade are really good and every single one was bomb. I will be spreading the word and we definitely will come back.

Stopped by for dinner. It was fairly quiet for a Wednesday, so we sat and Were able to get our drinks fairly quickly. The worker periodically asked if we needed anything. Asada tacos: Delicious Beef enchiladas: SOOOO DELICIOUS Rice and beans: Yum. Definitely worth the trip to Pomona. Parking can be tricky, since it's only street parking. They also charge $1.30 for CC use, which wasn't an issue when it came to the quality of their food and their prices.

The food from here is so hot fresh and delicious. I am very picky about my Mexican food bc I feel that most times I can make it better myself at home and this place was so delicious I will definitely be back soon ! The chilaquiles were spicy but not too spicy and the rice and beans were seasoned to perfection. The steak was good as well. The service was great and the lady was very accommodating and made sure we had everything that we needed. The seating area was decorated nicely and gave that homey vibe so it was very comfortable. Will definitely be back soon !

I invited a neighbor to head out here to join in my search for the best chilaquiles around. This was one of the top places on Yelp. This is definitely one of the best spots I've been to, and the folks who run this place are incredibly warm and amicable. I have had some really good chilaquiles, and even though it's a simple dish, simple things like fresh chips and protein options are what seal the deal for me. The dish is simply awesome. The chips weren't soggy. The eggs were made just right with how I asked. The salsa was super tasty. And that extra star goes to our server taking time to talk to us, mentioning that chilaquiles is one of their most popular dishes, asking us how we were doing on multiple occasions, and ending the visit with asking how everything was before we left. It's worth the drive if you're coming out of town. If you're in the area and have never been here, consider adding this wonderful place to our rotation. Viva mis chilaquiles!

We've been looking for a local spot for Mexican breakfast and antojitos.. finally we found our spot! This place is like eating in your abuelitas kitchen. The flavors, service and quality of food all outstanding 10/10 we will definitely be coming back

Parking is limited, so we were happy to snag one of the last spots. This is an order-at-the-counter spot with a salsa bar, hot beans, indoor and outdoor seating, and even Mexican Coke. Indoor seating is also pretty limited, so my friend and I were glad to grab one of the small tables. I ordered the lengua and asada tacos and both were flavorful, tender, and loaded with meat. I was honestly too hungry and eager to take a picture beforehand, but I can assure you the portions are plentiful. The tacos were a little greasy, but still really satisfying. Solid taco spot if you're in Pomona.

Unfortunately, we did have to wait around 30-40 minutes for the buffet to be ready.. we were served mimosas right away, which was nice. Now.. when it came down to the food, one person in my party did find a vey long hair in her chile relllenos. We made it know to our waitress.. which was a sweet person throughout everything!! Then we were told that the chilaquiles and taco station was now open.. so we headed down to it. There was no one to great us at the station. We stood around for around 10 minutes and no one showed up. So at that moment I grabbed a bowel of menudo. Lucky me!! I also grabbed a long hair in my menudo.. my sister in law thought it was a piece of onion but it was not! It was a very long strand of hair. At that point we all tried our best to make the best of it and enjoy the mariachi and mimosas. Then when I returned to the taco/chilaquile station the lady was very rude!! She bluntly asked what we wanted instead of telling us our options.. and I said I'll have 2 chorizo tacos please.. she said where's your plate?? I wasn't aware that I had to give her a plate to serve me. It was an overall horrible experience. Especially because we were literally the only party in the entire place besides the mariachi. The mariachi and our server were the only pleasant people that morning. I will never be returning.

The real star of the show was the Poseidon botana aguachiles.
