What a great vibe this place was! After an event my husband and I attended, we were looking for something close by. We came across Luchador Bar + Kitchen. What really caught our eye was the sound of music and flashing lights. We went in, were greeted, and sat at the bar. We got down with some delicious drinks and complementary chips & salsa. We ordered the fajita plate which included shrimp, steak and chicken. It was big enough for the two of us to share. The bartender was super nice and attentive. It was a fun night with great food, good vibes and great music.

I like the fact that the music playing is what you see on the TV's. Location is fine to get a drink and hang out for a bit. It wasn't very crowded whatsoever in fact more empty than not. I wish the drinks were a little bigger for what you pay and overall the experience was ok. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, but it was cool to check out. Bartender gave suggestions nothing over-the-top. I think if you went with a bunch of your friends and got a table, you could have a good time.

We went to celebrate my birthday during their brunch hours and we were accommodated by Joanna when we asked if they were still serving brunch. We got the pancakes menudo and the wet burrito. All the food was amazing. The pancakes were delicious without needed any syrup. The menudo had a bomb flavor with a kick of spice. And the asada in the burrito had such an amazing flavor to it. The music was a vibe. When Joanna found out we were celebrating my birthday she had them change the song to in the club by 50cent and brought us some shots. Overall we had an amazing time would definitely visit again. I love breakfast any time of the day and I would definitely go again just for the pancakes.

Came here on a Wednesday night around 5:50 pm, not realizing they had happy hour starting at 6 pm--but that's okay! We walked in and noticed a few small groups at the bar. There was only one staff member handling everything--taking orders, serving drinks, and delivering food and checks. While she was super friendly and patient, it was a bit challenging to get her attention due to all the tasks she had to juggle. Hopefully, they have more staff during busier times! Before we placed our order, the waitress brought us water, chips, and salsa. I have to say, I loved the salsa--it had great flavor and a nice kick! For the main event, we shared the Tro Fajita, which came with shrimp, chicken, and asada. You can choose between corn or flour tortillas, and it came with a side of rice and beans. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the portion size was just right for two people. The flavors were spot on, and we were both really satisfied with the meal.

Always enjoy the customer service here. The food is always always absolutely delicious! 10 out of 10! Always liked the vibe and layout. I just can't stand when the dj has their music set. Music is so damn loud you can't even hear the people in your table. One thing is to have music playing, but when the music is so loud; it's unbearable to talk and listen.

The food was authentic, fresh & served warm; the service was phenomenal, & music was great (loved the beat!). I have to say everyone was very kind here. Joanne was my server. She was happy & friendly. I walked in not knowing they were closed. She took my order: my drink & my food (which they had to make the nachos w/chicken). She had no attitude or facial expression of not being wanted because they are close. Actually, the people next to me said the same thing, they did not have an idea they were closed. I would recommend this place and would come here even if I did not understand the menu . Kindness is everyones language!

Stopped by prior to an event at the Fox Theater for a drink and appetizer. The food was good. We ordered the 3 tacos plate, al pastor, carnitas, short ribs. The hand made tortillas were very good. Flight of margaritas were a big NO for me. They looked tasty and pretty but I could not finish any of them. Unsure if they use tequila or mezcal but they were not good in my opinion. Staff was friendly but if you sit in the outside patio you will feel neglected as we did.

A Mexican Bar That Delivers on Flavor, Fun, and Atmosphere!** If you're looking for a **Mexican bar that knows how to bring the heat**, this is the spot! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with **vibrant decor, lively music, and an energy that makes you want to stay all night**. The **drink selection is phenomenal**--whether you're in the mood for a classic margarita, a smoky mezcal cocktail, or an ice-cold cerveza, the bartenders here know their craft. The margaritas are perfectly balanced, not too sweet, not too tart, and the tequila selection is impressive. The **ambiance is unbeatable**--festive, welcoming, and full of life. Whether you're catching up with friends, celebrating a special occasion, or just unwinding after a long day, this bar sets the perfect mood. And let's talk about the **snacks**--because what's a great drink without some delicious bites? The chips and guacamole are fresh, the street tacos are packed with flavor, and the nachos are loaded just right. If you're looking for a **Mexican bar that delivers on great drinks, amazing vibes, and an unforgettable experience**, this is the place to be. Highly recommend! You have to ask for Claudia or Joanna, they are extremely sweet and very friendly.

    Mother's Day Brunch
    Miori I.

Felt like a sucker on Mother's Day! Looking for a Mother's Day brunch location and Luchador looks very interesting with promise of Mariachi and a decent looking menu. Parking available and the lot across the street. App available to pay for parking. Signs with QR codes are posted. No attendant. We weren't aware that the AYCE brunch was the only option available on Sunday. Had we known we couldn't choose from the menu, we would have come in another time. They were charging $45 per person, even for my son who ate one plate. I heard that the regular brunch price is $30 or $35. Mariachi were leaving as we arrived, karaoke was coming on obnoxiously loud (not a great family vibe), and the buffet food was sadly cold. The buffet food was ok. I'm sure it would have tasted a lot better had it been warmed. Chilaquiles station was great and made fresh in front of you. Very friendly woman working that station. She was also handling the waffle station which offered fresh fruit toppings. The brunch included bottomless mimosas but we weren't there to drink with the family and only managed to drink one carafe between myself and I. We ran into some friends while we were there. I was sent over a Sandia con Chile cocktail that was pretty tasty. I've heard good and bad things about Luchador. Not sure if I'd return but I really wanted to like it.

I had my husband's Celebration of Life service at The Fox Theatre and Luchador did the catering. Sounds simple right? Well...we had 1100 guests and they did appetizers, a full meal and aguas frescas. People are still talking about the dinner! Chile Verde, flautas, green enchiladas, rice, and beans were all so good!!! Sergio and good team hustled for 3hrs straight to serve all of our guests on both levels of the theatre. My heart is so grateful for Luchador... they made the day perfect. 10 STARS!!!

Are you a fan of cheese? Do you like tacos? If your answer is yes, Luchador Bar+Kitchen is a cozy spot in Pomona worth considering. I've been here manyl times before shows at the Glass House, and I have never been disappointed with the food or the service. FYI, you can choose a different protein for your queso fundido, and it doesn't have to be chorizo. I've never had the cheese only and have had both chorizo and asada on different occasions. The tortillas are home made, and for me, corn will always win over flour tortillas. I love corn. Last time I was here, I was watching the Denver vs Minnesota playoff game for the NBA. I've never been here during Laker or Dodger playoffs, but I imagine it'll be crazy if the Lakers ever make it back, but I'm looking forward to the Dodgers packing this restaurant when the time is right. Staff is really chill and nice. I dig that. They bring refills without asking and will correct any order mishaps (which has only happened once) expeditiously. This place is a Pomona gem I'd say. I've had a lot of different menu items, and every option is a solid bet. As I've mentioned in other reviews, I don't drink alcohol, so I can't review the bar. The food and iced team are awesome though! Enjoy if you come through, and cheers.

The cream of mushroom (an upgrade, but absolutely worth it) was luxuriously smooth and intensely aromatic -- it truly tasted like freshly blended mushrooms rather than a generic cream base. Rich, velvety, and deeply savory. The pizza had a beautifully crisp crust with that satisfying crunch along the edges, yet still tender inside. The pasta was perfectly al dente with excellent bite. The white sauce was creamy and full-bodied without being runny, coating each strand evenly. The red sauce struck a lovely balance between acidity and sweetness -- bright but not sharp. The stuffed mushrooms were especially juicy and flavorful, releasing a savory broth with every bite. Tiramisu leaned slightly heavier on the liqueur, which I personally enjoyed -- bold, fragrant, and not overly sweet. Portions were very generous; the three of us couldn't finish everything and ended up packing two lunch-sized portions to go. Service was attentive and efficient without being intrusive. The dining room felt comfortable and relaxed -- classic Italian trattoria energy, warm and inviting. A meal that felt thoughtfully executed from start to finish. Already looking forward to coming back.

It's delicious, I always order a Chicago style pizza when I go there for an appetizer. It's huge and delicious. Let me tell you, it's so flavorful and loaded with toppings. When I took my first bite of it, it was like the first time a kissed a girl.....amazing and forever stamped into my memory. The stuffed shells are so good too. They are cheesy and it's a huge portion. Not like the ones I eat at the beach, hard and salty. The chicken Parmesan is insane here. So much flavor and you get spaghetti with it. I can never finish it when I get it. Also, the bread they bring out to tables is so toasty and delicious. The waiter also came by and showed me their wine list. He asked me if I wanted some. Of course I ordered their finest Mr. Pibb on tap. The waiter served it to me and introduced it as their finest Pibb xtra with ice. Ooh it's the Pibb I've had at a restaurant. Give this joint a try in you're in town. Even if you're not in town, drive to it, you won't be disappointed. This joint is amazing!

We went here for mother's day. It was my first time here. It is definitely a pricier establishment…read moreso I was looking forward to finally trying it out. We sat outside and the ambiance (both inside and outside) were nice. The outside was definitely a lot quieter than inside, and the server next to us even offered to turn on the heaters (though not needed). I enjoyed being outside. We started off with appetizers which included grilled octopus and oysters. Although, even though they were on ice, the oysters weren't cold enough for me. Still, we downed them with the fresh horseradish and cocktail sauce and just prayed about it later lol. My family liked the grill octopus. It was tender and had a very smokey char flavor but if I'm being honest, it was not MY favorite so I probably would not personally order again. Even my mom said she thought it was "just alright." I ordered the Branzino and it lacked in flavor. I was not a fan of the green sauce it had on the side. It was not completely terrible, but not great either. It was cooked well and crispy, but that's all I can say for it as even Tabasco didn't make it great. The best thing of the night was probably the lamb chops and the cheese ravioli. They were both cooked well & tasted great so if I were to come back Id stick to pasta and that. The lychee mocktails & their ricotta cheesecake were probably my favorite things on the menu. The tart was decent. Our waiter was slow at times and kept either forgetting certain drinks or what we asked of him or the kitchen was just slower than usual. I'm not sure which, but service wasn't on par with the price point in my opinion. Luckily we were pretty relaxed, but my mom had finished her food by the time her wine arrived. Overall, it was an ok night. My family at least had fun and enjoyed their time there. The food was presented nicely, and service was OK as a whole but I'm not sure I'd come back on my own accord again. Definitely nice to say I've visited & tried it out at least once though!

This half Italian can run rather brutal in Italian restaurant reviews. This is because my recently…read morelate Momma could humiliate almost every Italian restaurant in the Inland Empire. So I adjust out of fair play. This restaurant violated one of my strict restaurant rules, that applies to all cuisines: if you walk in and don't smell any food of any kind -- if the place smells like nothing -- turn and walk out immediately. But since YELP insisted this was a go, I stayed. TIP TO THE OWNER: if I were you, just before you open each night, I'd roast some garlic and hide it in the dining room -- maybe with a small fan on it. I'm not kidding. Okay, we were greeted by Sinatra in the air and Veronica, who gave us a gracious 'Italian' welcome. This is as much a part of the experience as anything. I've recently been to a new Italian spot that flubbed this. We were nudged towards risotto balls, which I'll be honest I've never managed to try but yum they both were. As was the marinara served with them, which is more of a delicate art than people understand. Some rolls came out and they were freshly made and delightful. They weren't doused in salt and so they needed that dash of provided soft whipped butter. So good I had one more roll than I wanted. Veronica made an excellent wine recommendation and off we were awaiting our entrees. We got there at opening and so we were seated in the bar/dining side. Ambiance was pretty okay but needed tweaking. I know tablecloths can scare off budget customers, but the room needed some warmth and that would have helped. Also bright setting sunlight was pouring in and I'd recommend lovely blinds for such occasions. The door at the bar leading into the back needs some paint. My vegetarian partner in crime got the eggplant parmesan, something both the menu and Veronica particularly recommended as a house specialty. It was good, but to this half Italian, not as special as it needs to be. Proper Egg Parm must absolutely melt in your mouth. If you must chew the eggplant at all, it's 'chewy' and not authentic. Look on YouTube, find an Italian -- do what you can to fix this. Trust me. My Chicken Piccata was good too, but not great. It was off somehow. To my tastebuds it wasn't creamy. If the owners PM me, I can tell you of two places within 40s minutes that do this plate properly. I enjoyed it, finished it, but I wouldn't order it again. Each of our plates came with two carrots, two pieces of broccoli, and two wedges of roasted potato. We could have had pasta but went with these sides. THEY WERE SHOCKINGLY GOOD. Not over cooked, not over seasoned, just perfect. It's an extremely odd experience to have a great wine, great appetizer, great bread, great sides -- but merely good entrees. This ate a star, sorry. We will return and try two other entrees. If they too disappoint, we likely won't return. But understand we want you to be great, because I strolled into Brio later and it was noisy cringe.
