I ordered take out and was underwhelmed at the portion and quality, sadly. They said the lasagna came with bread. This was the bread, a single skimpy roll. $44 for a lasagna that could feed two and a quart of bland minestrone.

Came here for a family lunch and it did not disappoint. This place is a hidden gem. The vibe is warm and welcoming. It truly feels like home. Service is excellent. The food is outstanding, from the pizzas to the pastas, with very generous portions. The pizzas are authentic, full of rich flavor, and the crust is perfectly cooked. Will definitely be back for more.

Eddie's Italian Eatery is a small hole-in-the-wall, mom-and-pop spot that I used to go to all the time when I lived nearby. I don't get to come here as often anymore, but I recently brought my wife to try it, and the food was still just as good as I remembered. Everything was super flavorful, and my favorite dish is still the truffle mushroom pasta--definitely a must-try. Even after all these years, the quality hasn't changed. Definitely worth stopping by, especially if you appreciate hidden gems like this.

Braised Beef Ravioli with meat sauce
C P.

We went to dinner at Eddie's Italian Eatery in Claremont last Wednesday and it was amazing! We ate the appetizer too fast to remember snapping a photo, however the fried calamari was delicious, tender crispy and perfectly seasoned. The Bread and seasoned olive oil for dipping was the best warm chewy tender bread. We ordered the braised beef ravioli and lasagna with meat sauce. They were both bursting with flavor from their fillings. The luau pizza had super nice crispy edges with toasted cheese and the pizza itself was pan style with nice salty toppings: bacon and ham. Our server Frank was very attentive and the staff checked on us and everyone was friendly. The ambiance was warm and comforting, the restaurant was clean and the music was so nice and relaxing. We would come back and would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Tiramisu
Tammy W.

Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 From the very first spoonful of soup to the final bite of tiramisu, everything was genuinely impressive. The cream of mushroom (an upgrade, but absolutely worth it) was luxuriously smooth and intensely aromatic -- it truly tasted like freshly blended mushrooms rather than a generic cream base. Rich, velvety, and deeply savory. The pizza had a beautifully crisp crust with that satisfying crunch along the edges, yet still tender inside. The pasta was perfectly al dente with excellent bite. The white sauce was creamy and full-bodied without being runny, coating each strand evenly. The red sauce struck a lovely balance between acidity and sweetness -- bright but not sharp. The stuffed mushrooms were especially juicy and flavorful, releasing a savory broth with every bite. Tiramisu leaned slightly heavier on the liqueur, which I personally enjoyed -- bold, fragrant, and not overly sweet. Portions were very generous; the three of us couldn't finish everything and ended up packing two lunch-sized portions to go. Service was attentive and efficient without being intrusive. The dining room felt comfortable and relaxed -- classic Italian trattoria energy, warm and inviting. A meal that felt thoughtfully executed from start to finish. Already looking forward to coming back.

Eddie's has the most wonderful service and food. You are always greeted with kindness, and the servers are so attentive and helpful. Highly recommend the garlic knots and the bolognese pasta, as well as the pizza. I always love getting to come enjoy a meal with family at Eddie's!

Eddie's is ever so cute. It is not large, but it is clean and comfortable. You can dine there, have it delivered or pick it up. This time we did take away. It was great. The service is exceptional. They are fast but always make sure your food is perfect. We love all their food, but our favorite is their pizzas. They are so good. The crust is perfect, never burnt and the sauce is great. They have a good selection of toppings and it is made to order and always fresh. The cheese they use is also wonderful. We love it.

I love the sangria

His personality, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made the evening that much more special. He didn't just serve us; he helped create an experience we'll remember for a long time. Jeff truly went above and beyond! The food was phenomenal! You HAVE to try the fresh bread and the bistecca. Hands down, one of the best steaks I've ever had in my life. The flavor and texture were out of this world. The butterscotch dessert was equally incredible and the perfect way to finish the night. The rooftop atmosphere was beautiful, romantic, and intimate, with great music and a peaceful ambiance. Everything came together perfectly for a birthday dinner. Easily one of the best dining experiences my wife and I have shared. We'll definitely be back, and next time we're bringing friends and family. Ask for Jeff if you visit!

Firstly, It is easy to make a reservation online (which I highly recommend doing because seating is minimal and intimate). There is also a small parking lot right out front so you don't have to find street parking in downtown. Secondly, the service, food, environment, drinks, music, and feel are INCREDIBLE! My husband and I shared an anniversary dinner here and were blown away. Upon walking in, I immediately began to enjoy the low lit atmosphere. Old world rustic charm with Wunderhorse, Blur, and Fontaines D.C. serenading us. I thought, did we transport out of the IE, just now? Are we in Europe? I'm so here for it. Our server was masterful and relaxed in the way they approached us and introduced the menu. They explained that the restaurant works alongside a local farm in Ontario and the pasta is freshly made in-house, daily. Say less. Once our food arrived and we took our first bites, we knew we had to find a reason to come back soon. Yes, that good. Similarly, drinks are made in-house on the quaint upstairs porch and lowered by a very cool and magical levy system that leaves them inside of a cabinet along the wall. Fun to watch! I can share more about our amazing night but let's just say we left even more in love on our anniversary dinner and we have this restaurant to thank for really setting the tone and taking such good care of us. Go enjoy!

After being seated, we waited 20 minutes and were only given menus and water. No one ever came back to check in, take our order, or even acknowledge us. While waiting, we noticed the couple next to us dealing with their own frustration--they were mistakenly handed someone else's check. We asked how long they had been waiting, and they mentioned they'd been there for over an hour and had only received their appetizers. They were so tired of waiting that they just asked for the bill to leave. Hearing that made us realize we were likely looking at a similar timeline, so we decided to walk out. What made it worse was that as we walked out, not a single staff member bothered to ask why we were leaving or try to remedy the situation. The food here might have been good, we will never know; but the poor operational management and lack of basic hospitality completely ruined the experience for us. Hopefully, management can address these training and service gaps. Highly disappointed!

This month Eddie's is offically celebrating their 41st birthday…read more Congratulations!!! Almost 20 years of my enjoying Spaghetti Eddie's great food & service. I have told many people about my personal experiences here and everyone that has visited the restaurant from my suggestions were impressed with the food and excellent service. I am temporarily living out of the area, but always make Eddie's one of my first restaurant visits when I return home. My favorite food is true Italian recipe based and Eddie's uses some of the finest ingredients and seasonings I've sampled. From main courses to salads and desserts, everything is delicious and obviously prepared from scratch. Visit the restaurants website and sign up for their monthly specials. These limited edition offerings are available all month long and everyone a stand-out in my opinion. Lunch specials are a real value and the quality is never compromised. Many of the staff have been with Eddie's for ten or more years and really enjoy their jobs and wouldn't want to work anywhere else. I read a review of Eddie's made recently by a patron and needed to update my review of Eddie's made several years ago. This restaurant would not be as successful as it has been for so many years without taking good care of their guests. My experience with servers has shown that they will do anything in their power to make your visit a happy one with great food and service to match. Mike, one of the managers that I have become acquainted with over the years would not let anyone leave without their being fully satisfied with their dining experience. This restaurant truly wants to have repeat customers that look forward to each and every visit. About a 15 minute drive east of Eddie's in Glendora are two sister restaurants in the community of Claremont that Eddie has also created very successfully thanks to the expertise of Eddie demanding quality food and service for each and every guest. You can't grow to this level without giving your guest what they expect from a superior dining experience. Eddie's Italian Eatery on West Foothill in Claremont has a menu similar to the Glendora location. This location is only a bit over 20 years old, somewhat new compared to Glendora. The upscale masterpiece of Eddie's is "Tutti Mangia-Italian Chophouse" located on Harvard Ave. in historic downtown Claremont. Fine dining at its best with an elegant setting and food to match. A special treat for anyone wanting the most special evening of elegant dining. It's worth the drive to experience the menu and decor. This location has experienced 30 years of success and is a very popular restaurant in the college town of Claremont. When you visit any of the three restaurants that Eddie operates you will be well treated and served some of the most authentic Italian food available anywhere. I never hesitate to make a 15 mile drive to a restaurant that truly has exceptional food and service.

After recently reading an extremely negative review made appx 2 weeks ago about Spaghetti Eddie's,…read moreI felt compelled to share my own experience--especially as someone who has lived in this area for 50 years and has watched our community change tremendously over the decades. I remember when the Mayflower Shopping Center was thriving and nearly every storefront was occupied. Unfortunately, many businesses have come and gone over the years. But Spaghetti Eddie's is still here--41 YEARS later! That alone says something. You don't remain in business for more than four decades without doing something right. They have weathered years of change, economic challenges, and even the incredibly difficult COVID era. During that time, they adapted their operations so they could continue serving the community that has supported them for so many years. Yes, the shopping center may not look like it did years ago, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of this restaurant. In fact, on any given night, you may still have trouble finding a close parking spot because Spaghetti Eddie's is packed! When it comes to something as serious as a food allergy, however, I strongly believe we all have a responsibility to advocate for our own safety as well. If you have a severe allergy, it is always wise to double-check your order before leaving the restaurant. Placing the entire burden on a young employee--who may even be working their very first job--without acknowledging our own responsibility seems unfair. No restaurant is perfect, and mistakes can happen anywhere. But I believe a business should be judged by the overall experience it consistently provides--not defined by one incident or one extremely negative review. My family and I have always felt welcomed here. The entire staff works hard, and we have received wonderful service over the years. And I have to give a special shoutout to Manny! He is absolutely amazing at his job and someone I highly recommend. He recently suggested the mushroom soup with truffle oil--something I probably never would have ordered because I tend to stick with my favorites. I am SO glad I listened to him. It was incredible! And here's a tip: dip the bread in the soup. You can thank me later! Then there's the calamari. I order calamari almost everywhere I go, and Spaghetti Eddie's lightly cooked calamari remains one of my absolute favorites. So, before allowing someone else's negative review to make your decision for you, go experience Spaghetti Eddie's yourself and form your own opinion. Think about what 41 years in business really represents: thousands of customers, family dinners, birthdays, celebrations, first dates, longtime regulars, hardworking employees, and countless memories created around their tables. As someone who has called this community home for 50 years, I appreciate the businesses that have stood the test of time--and Spaghetti Eddie's certainly has. 41 years strong, and there's a reason for it. Give them a try. Order the mushroom soup with truffle oil, get the calamari, and enjoy your evening. Spaghetti Eddie's continues to have my support!
