I was really in the mood for a great cookie, so I stopped by to try the double chocolate chip cookie. Based on the photos on the app and social media, I was expecting a big, thick, puffy bakery-style cookie. Instead, the cookie I received was pretty flat, thin, and only about 3 1/2 inches across. That said, once I took a bite, I was genuinely impressed. The cookie was gooey, rich, and packed with great chocolate flavor. It definitely tasted much better than it looked. One thing that was frustrating was the promotion they were advertising. There was a huge flashing sign saying you could get a free cookie if you joined the membership club, but the QR code was so tiny that my phone couldn't scan it. The code only flashed on the screen for a couple of seconds every several minutes, and it honestly didn't seem to work very well. In the end, I paid the $3.95 for my cookie and went on my way. While the presentation and promotion were disappointing, I do have to admit -- the cookie itself tasted really good. Sir was really cute. It was very small in the plaza in Claremont.
Served warm and ooey-gooey, these cookies are so good! Got the six-pack classic (double chocolate chunk, peanut butter chip, chocolate chunk, peanut butter chip and white chocolate macadamia flavors). Perfect size, not too big and not too small! Cravings satisfied.
Insomnia cookie is a hard to find cookies specialty store that sells wide varieties of cookies. They only sell milk and ready made drinks in packages like milk, juices. Insomnia cookies is a super clean, modern, and very simplistic decor cookie store. Service is very friendly. Basically, I just went classic cookies of oatmeal and chocolate. It's actually fresh as they took it from some over container. Overall the experience is positive.
There's street and structure parking to get here. There's few seating here but it's more of a grab and go kind of place. They have a good selection of cookies, nothing too crazy. The staff are nice and friendly. The cookies are pretty good. They're the simple kind that I prefer. They're a good level of sweetness. I'd like to return for the other flavors.
Some tasty and definitely fresh cookies. They had Wizard of Oz promo going on with their cookies. The employee showed us how to sign up for a free cookie, hey we got twin girls. We need all the free cookies we can get. They also let you sample th ice cream. The four pack was a good deal. I took the free on for a peanut butter cookie. My favorites out of the ones we had. The ice cream topper was a solid addition the chocolate chip. It's small on the inside so you can sit outside.
I got the Triple Chocolate Deluxe, which was warm, soft, and rich in flavor. It was delicious and sweet--definitely satisfied my craving. Friendly service and a casual vibe. There's limited indoor and outdoor seating, but it's located in a nice plaza that's perfect for walking around and enjoying your treat.
Been here twice now... the cookies and ice cream are good, nothing remarkable. The service on the other hand....good God is it terrible. The first time the gal was alone so I excused it as she was very busy. Tonight however, there were two staff members and both had us wait (with no one in the store, but us), then the male started helping us with a very negative attitude. His tone was lifeless, annoyed and it seemed he was upset that I thought $15 was a lot for an ice cream sandwich my child was only gonna eat a few bites of (I did not address pricing with him, but with my son). No one has ever told me to have a good night in such a condescending tone; I will not be back. However, I will certainly continue to share my experience there with friends and family. Thanks for the hospitality Joseph V. or should I say, the lack thereof.
Walked around Claremont Village before dinner and was so excited to stumble across an Insomnia Cookies! I tried them years ago during a NYC trip so of course we had to make a stop after dinner! As promised, cookies were nice, warm and oh so chewy! Definitely worth the hype and price! And will definitely be back for more again soon!
5/12/25 Had a hankering for warm cookies & Insomnia Cookies fit the bill-- they're open until 1 am!! Hubby didn't need to be told twice when he heard cookies & there's ice cream!! It's a small shop in the midst of Claremont surrounded by students cramming for their finals in need of sweet treats. Staff was courteous & diligently scooped Hubby's ice cream onto a cup & I ordered a classic chocolate chunk cookie. It was in a warmer & when she bought it out, it was warm & ooey gooey delicious. It's a small 2 inch in diameter cookie with a mild crunch & soft center. For $3.29 it was tiny but filling, I still had a bite left coz it was way too decadent to eat it all Street parking available & free.
Great spot for when you're craving something sweet. The cookies are always so fresh and warm. The staff is very helpful and the place itself is pretty small but has a modern look. I love that they're open late!
Good place for dessert! I loved the majority of the flavors, wish they had a little more options. But no it was a good place for a late night sweet treat! And shoutout to the girl working last nights because there were SO many people waiting and she was so kind!
If you were looking for a fresh baked warm, chocolate chip cookie, or any cookie of your choice, this is the place to be. It's a little pricey, but honestly delicious I would highly advise you eat them on the spot to maximize your experience. The woman that helped us was very friendly, very kind and offered great suggestions. Location is clean and it's pretty straightforward. Even just one cookie will satisfy your craving.
Haha, they had a night where they gave out free cookies if you came in wearing PJs. They get a lot of credit for creativity and fun. The cookies are very good too BTW.

I really loved our service on this trip, me and my friend are what some may call "frequent flyers" to insomnia cookies. I've never been met with such amazing service. I really appreciate the hospitality and good humor that Micah R has shown us. I hope that management takes note of his excellent service and treats him well. We come to insomnia like 3 times a week and everyone else is stale and in a bad mood. Thank you Micah for lightening my hard day. My spirits are lifted. Today was my first time having the wild berry ube cookie. It was okay. My friend got the chocolate brownie and cookie dough ice cream. read more
These cookies are good! First time I had an Insomnia cookie was in Vegas. Happy to know they have this location in SoCal. We came in on a late evening while in Claremont Village and had a craving for cookies. The location is small since it's order to go. There's countertop seating and some seats outside. We love that they offer Vegan/non-dairy options so my wife can enjoy them too. They have an app to DL and I'd recommend it since new users get a free cookie or ice cream scoop. The staff were great and worked efficiently. I decided to opt in for the free scoop and got as well. My wife redeemed her freebie cookie too. I had never tried their scoops before, so went with the Dreamweaver as it caught my eye immediately. The purple color is mesmerizing! Apparently, it purple smores based mixed with their double chocolate chip cookies. I'm still a fan of this brand after this visit. This is a nice little cookie shop in a plaza. Looks clean, nice and simple inside. Service was fast and easy. Unfortunately, I just can't recommend this place too much. It's so expensive compared to alternatives unless you buy in bulk and even then it's not that great for the price. The cookie sandwich in my pictures was like $10! The taste is not a problem. The cookies are good and warmed up, the ice cream is good, but it's not like they're particularly special, even the deluxe ones. And four of them for $20? That's nuts when I can get cookies 3x the size at Costco or Mrs. Fields. The flavor variety is okay, but it's also locked behind a huge $6 price. They're just not special enough to justify unless you've got no other dessert options around. read more
AMAZING! The cookies are so delicious and made fresh! The ice creams is also delicious! I got the cookie'wich ($11.50) and the deluxe cookie'which ($17.00) it came out to a total of $28.50. I was helped by Ashley and she was super kind and helpful. It's located in downtown and it is a great place to come get a sweet treat! read more
After picking up a couple poke bowls from Poke Dot at Claremont Village, I was heading back to my car. I turned my head and saw Insomnia Cookies. I was like... no way... way... it's here in So Cal! So excited!! My first encounter with them was at Broadway At The Beach in Myrtle Beach, SC. I thought I would not see them again until the next time I'm in Myrtle Beach. Now they are close to home... so happy! It's a cute cookie shop. They have classic and specialty cookies plus you can add ice cream to your cookies... yay! I have yet to try the latter, but will do so next time. They were really busy at the time, but it gave me a chance to take photos so all good. When it was my turn, it was just me... I got a chance to share my 1st visit story with the young lady behind the counter. She was very nice. She recommended their special buy 1 dozen for $24.00 compared to regular price at $30+... you're basically getting a couple cookies for free. Yes, price is a little on the higher side per cookie, but hey, it's okay to indulge just a little bit at times. I went with the dozen of all classic cookies. Yes, I tried all of them. My favorites are chocolate mint, oatmeal, and white chocolate macadamia. I can't say there were any least favorites, but if I had to pick one, it would be the M&M chocolate... way too sweet! Overall, they were all very yummy. They just opened a month ago. Come on out and pick up some Insomnia Cookies after midnight, but before their closing time at 1:00 AM! Btw, if management is reading this review, you may want to cut the tree branches right outside your shop because they are kind of covering your shop name just a bit on the left. read more

These cookies never let me down! I ordered a snickerdoodle and I got a free one with my rewards so I opted for double chocolate chunk. They were both so warm and fresh. I love that they are soft and not hard crunchy cookies. The experience ordered is always a breeze. Very clean establishment but a little toasty inside due to the ovens! read more

Expect a wait if you want that fresh outta the oven experience from the staff that does not dissapoint. Cookie experts for cookie lovers, is all I can say. Business is just a typical hustle & bustle- you come for your cookies and head oit to enjoy. Not bad at all. There is a good selection of music playing meanwhile you wait for your order too. I've passed by downtown Claremont many times and never seen this shop, so ofc I had to try ice cream& cookies!!! Yes the price is a little over priced. I got a brokie and a brownie w vanilla ice cream. The brownies were so chewy and fresh! The ice cream was like a vanilla bean flavor it was creamy very delicious! The cashier was nice enough to put the ice cream on the side for us so the ice cream wouldn't melt! They should for sure get more ice cream flavors! read more
What a happy accident finding this gem! The cookies are warm and soft and the ice cream is sooooo good! Prices are as you'd expect for things these days but I think it was all worth it. Store was very clean and the staff were very sweet. read more

Thought I'd have to go back to NYC to have an Insomniac dessert and so happy to see there is now one here on the West Coast!! The fact that they're open so late for those with a late night sweet craving is what makes this place a favorite. NYC is until 4am if I'm not mistaken or maybe even 24 hours, but love that you can get your fix! Located in downtown Claremont, it's a great spot within walking distance after having dinner. The service was fast and good. They had fresh brownies ready to serve and go. It's a very small shop with only one table. More ideal for takeout or pick up. I had cookies when I first tried Insomniac and this time went for the brownie with ice cream and it did not disappoint! read more

Pretty tasty cookies. Everything we tried was pretty good but the Salted Caramel Deluxe was probably the best. The worker there was super nice and very helpful. The inside was a little small but very nice and clean. There's plenty of nice seating in the surrounding area too . read more
