I visited Bacio di Latte on a Friday night and, as expected, there was a short line outside. Luckily, the day I went, there was an employee handing out samples while we waited. Once inside, I was pleasantly surprised by how cute the space was decorated. Although the space is tiny, it was clean, and the employees did a great job of keeping foot traffic moving. One of the employees recommended a flavor for me to try that was reminiscent of Ferrero Rocher. I grabbed the smallest cup, and the price was steep! Luckily, it was delicious. Unlike ice cream, gelato has a silky texture, which made it the perfect treat after dinner. I'll be back to try an affogato! read more

Bacio di Latte is the absolute sweetest addition to historic Claremont! While the shop itself is adorable, the real highlight here is hands down the gelato--it is rich, velvety, and truly exceptional quality. My husband and I were blown away by every single bite. The staff was amazing and so accommodating, happily letting us try multiple flavors until we found our perfect picks. They have great indoor seating as well as a super cute patio outside to sit and enjoy your treat. We stopped in around 2 PM on a Wednesday--there was a nice, steady flow of people, but we walked right up without any wait. Between the friendly service, comfortable seating, and incredible gelato, this spot is a total gem. 10/10! read more

Such a fun spot for gelato in Claremont Village! I love coming here to snack on gelato--the flavors are so good, and there are so many options to choose from that it's hard to pick just one. I also really love the atmosphere. It has a cute, inviting feel, and there's usually seating available, which is a nice bonus since people are constantly coming in and out. It makes it a great place to sit and enjoy your gelato rather than having to grab it and go. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is definitely on the pricey side for gelato. I love Bacio di Latte so you can imagine my excitement to hear that it was in the neighborhood. When I arrived, the line was out the door. I had no idea there was a deal going on. The parking in the city's downtown can sometimes be difficult but it wasn't too bad when I came later in the night. I joined the long line and waited quite a bit. It wasn't a big deal to me because I love Bacio di Latte! When I finally got to the front, I was so disappointed to see many flavors were no longer available. I think it would have been a good idea for the staff to have advised people who were waiting in the long line that they only had limited flavors left because that would have been understandable for later in the evening. I was surprised that no such thing happened and you just had to learn about the limited flavors after waiting a long time in the line. Additionally, when I finally got ice cream (flavors that weren't my first choice because that's all they had left), I was extremely disappointed in the fact that the ice cream was MELTED. I know gelato is to be a bit softer than traditional ice cream due to the ingredients but this wasn't gelato consistency...it was gelato soup. When I asked the staff to scoop up the hardest part of their stock, I was informed that it was pretty much all the same consistency because they didnt anticipate it to be as hot as it was. I don't have a picture to share because it was a soupy mess!! I realize that it's their opening days and there are some kinks to work out. Just expressing disappointment in my experience. While the weather is extremely hot, a company like theirs should have a mitigation plan for things like that, especially since the prices are pretty high in comparison to other desserts in the area. Additionally, communication fixes a lot of things. If there are kinks (lack of stock or melted gelato), people standing in line should be informed so that they can make a decision to stay and wait or leave. It's only fair. I think I'll wait a while before going back. I'll just have to make the trek to other locations. read more

We love this Claremont location! Located in the heart of the village, the lines get really long, but the employees are so friendly and typically have someone in charge of managing the line. We have never waited more than 30 minutes for ice cream. There is seating both inside and in back of the store. Our favorite flavor is the Crema Torino and we also enjoy the blueberry ricotta. This place is a definite must try if you're looking for a sweet treat in the Claremont area. read more

Finally, a gelato spot in Claremont! I was genuinely excited, so naturally we went in for 3 regular gelatos and 5 cookies. Go big or go home, right? The gelato tasted decent, but it was already melting while being spooned into the cups. I like my gelato soft... just not emotionally ready to become a milkshake before I leave the counter. Also, no stracciatella?! It's literally on the menu when you scan the QR code. That's like an Italian restaurant saying, "Sorry, no pasta today." I came here last Thursday around 2:30 PM and had an amazing first experience. The two employees working were incredibly kind and attentive. When I mentioned my nut allergy, they changed the scooper, put on fresh gloves, and took extra precautions without me having to ask. I also had a lot of questions since it was my first time, and they were very patient and helpful. Please give them their flowers because they were incredible. The gelato was also amazing, the base is super creamy, and the passion fruit is one of my favorites. I came back Sunday night around 9pm-10pm, and unfortunately, my experience was very different. I mentioned my nut allergy again, but the employee did not change her gloves or use a clean scooper. What concerned me most was that some gelato fell onto the side of the cup, and she used her hand to push it back in. Since she had not changed her gloves, I was worried about cross-contamination. After eating it, I experienced some itching in my throat. I understand there is always some risk when eating somewhere that handles nuts, and I'm always willing to wait longer for proper allergy precautions. I just wish the same level of care I received on Thursday had been followed on Sunday. I still really enjoy this place and want to come back. I just hope all employees receive consistent allergy and cross-contamination training and follow those precautions every time, even when it's busy. I'm sure customers with allergies would rather wait a few extra minutes than risk a trip to the ER. read more

Terrible experience. Was trying to order ice cream and the manager (I think his name was Juan) had attitude and was very rude to me and my grandma. He even mocked her disability to his co workers. i love bacio and was so excited when they opened a Claremont location. their gelato is amazing, but the 3 stars is mainly for the service we received. we had asked for some samples, but the girl assisting us was either distracted or couldnt hear well, but she gave us the wrong sample flavors to start. when i ordered, I asked for their belgian chocolate, blueberry ricotta and tiramisu in a waffle bowl. I unfortunately wasnt watching when she scooped my order cause I was distracted by my kid, but 1)she asked twice what my third flavor was and 2) she gave me passionfruit instead of the blueberry ricotta I asked for, and i didnt notice until i left the store cause she had put the passionfruit on the bottom. it was a bit disappointing since I was actually looking forward to that one and the seeds in the passionfruit didn't make it very enjoyable imo. I understand that it was busy and staff can get easily distracted with so much going on, but getting the flavors I'm asking for should be bare minimum. all in all, great gelato but I'll probably hold off on coming back to this location, at least till their staff can tell the difference between blueberry and passion fruit. read more
