Ube matcha with oat milk!
Therese G.

Great big space for your party or if you have to work. Good wifi! Friendly service. Lots of drink options, bagel choices and pizza too!!

Just left and my matcha is disgusting. Extremely watery with minimal flavor. Was excited to have my drink (24oz) but now it will go to waste.

I've been to Mugs a couple times for their vanilla cream latte. They have quick service and their drinks are pretty cheap! There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well.

We use to come here when it use to be Sal's Bagels and hadn't been back since we moved from La Verne. To our surprise a MUGS opened up here. They still serve bagels!! Customer service was very nice! The place was clean. There's a drive thru as well. We ordered: Horchata Latte and the Olla Latte...both were delicious!! We also ordered some chocolate chip cookies for our kids. I can honestly say that we'll be back anytime we are in the area!

Mugs took over the old Bagelry and Brew location, but they still serve coffee drinks, pizza, and bagels. I dropped by for breakfast on a weekday, and it was busy. Still, service was friendly and quick. I had the vanilla cream latte and a New Yorker lox bagel sandwich. Both were delicious. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of tables both inside and outside. Many people were there enjoying breakfast and chatting. Like the old restaurant, they close early, at 2 PM. I wish they were open late because I think they'd make a great study spot. Definitely a good place to grab breakfast or for an early meet up.

Matcha latte ube cold foam
Melissa B.

The matcha latte with ube cold foam was good overall! It was a little sweeter than I usually like, and I wish the matcha flavor came through a bit more. That said, the ube cold foam was delicious. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and the café has a quiet atmosphere that's perfect for studying. There are plenty of tables both inside and outside, making it a great place to get some work done.

Bagel

Used to be a large portion of cream cheese, and topping on sandwiches- but now cream cheese is so thin I can see my bagel for $2 charge is not okay. Poor rebrand of bagelry and brew with jacked up prices and less focus on good quality bagels. Would not recommend anyway even though it used to be a almost weekly spot for me

I had the mocha (Abuelita's)! It was delicious! Service was a little slower but worth it.

Excellent espresso! Excellent price! They even have a drive-through window, which is very handy, especially if you have long arms ;-)

I always enjoy trying out their seasonal items, so for this visit, I ended up getting the Chunky Monkey and OMG!! Immediate new favorite!! Upon the very first sip, I could taste both the banana and chocolate flavors, and they make such an amazing combo!! I also ended up trying their Raspberry Croissant, which was pretty huge. That one was alright lol. Overall, coming here is always bound to be a good time. Plus, the staff is always nice, which makes the experience even better!!

Most of the time, everything is great, but lately, I've noticed it can be a bit of a hit or miss--I either have a wonderful experience or a really tough one. Why I keep coming back: Their food is genuinely delicious. They have really good sandwiches and so many great options if you're hungry. Also, a little insider tip: if you're feeling under the weather and want something better than a Starbucks Medicine Ball, order the Remedy Tea. It is so soothing and I highly recommend it! My recent experience: On my last visit, things felt a bit off. The staff seemed really rushed--they actually started making our drinks while we were still in the middle of ordering. Because of the rush, they missed my milk modification and the drink ended up being way too sweet, to the point where I couldn't really drink it. What saddened me most was that the cashier was pretty rude and dismissive toward us. We actually felt so uncomfortable that we didn't even want to ask for a remake, so we just headed out. I truly love the menu here and the vibe when it's "on," but I really hope the service gets back to that friendly, welcoming energy I fell in love with.

Coworker's Paradise in North Pomona! (sorry if it sounds like I'm writing a Zillow listing, but I'm…read morejust trying to get this to show up in search results if anyone else is curious LOL) OUTLETS: Plenty of outlets!!! There's a set of steps with pillows on each step with a block of about six outlets beside them, and a really comfy, sinky couch (plus an ottoman and two comfy looking armchairs and a big table in the middle) with a set of two outlets on the wall and a star shaped power strip sticking out of the ground with six outlets coming out of it. There are also regular tables and it seems like there are outlets beside them as well. WIFI: The wifi is open (no password necessary), even though they have a password listed where you pick up your food (it's just Sanctuary Coffee). I tried to use one of the locked ones (the only one that made sense), but the wifi password didn't work, so I'm not sure why they have one listed. Regardless, albeit not the fastest wifi I've ever used, it's incredibly doable. I have been working remote here for 1.5 hrs and had almost no issues. MENU: For LA, relatively cheap. I am not a coffee or tea drinker, so I got the peach Italian soda, which was yummy. I believe it was about $4.89, which is not bad at all. I went to And Destroy in the Highland Park-ish area, and I believe an Italian soda with cream (cream is free here) was maybe $7-8. I'm used to paying more for drinks because the specialty (non coffee and tea) drinks are usually pricey, but this was one of the cheapest things on the menu. Also, you can claim a free pastry with your email and first name on their website (it sends you a voucher, just show the email). I got the banana bread, which was fine. I would've gotten zucchini, but it wasn't chocolate chip zucchini. ATMOSPHERE: Not too loud, the music is nice and chill and not very loud. There's cute art on the walls and homey looking lamps. It's the quintessential living room coffee shop, perhaps even rivaling Republik Coffee in Burbank in comfiness, noise level, aesthetic, and price (which is a bummer, because I likely will never be back - we just happened to be in North Pomona today, and I have no idea when we'd ever elect to drive this far again LOL). PARKING: It's in a little strip mall, so there's an actual aboveground lot with plenty of free parking (at least I think it's free, I got dropped off so I didn't pay much attention). Overall, I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking to cowork in a cozy atmosphere for relatively cheap in the North Pomona area. It checks all of my boxes except distance from home. I hope this review helps someone, because I always try to find this information on Yelp about new places to visit and it can be very difficult to find! BATHROOM: I believe there are two single person bathrooms like not stalls just one bathroom. Cute art and aesthetic inside, there are hooks on the walls for your stuff. The air dryer was not very strong and there were no paper towels or seat covers, but other than that there was a nice faucet and cute nice soap like homey soap you'd see in someone's house, and the lock worked fine.

It's not awful, but it tastes frugal. I arrived at Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) on Sunday (around 12:20PM). Parking is easy. The lot is very big. My immediate impression of the location's interior is "abandoned warehouse." There's cardboard boxes lying about; the lights are dim & gloomy; and the furniture & walls looked old and poorly maintained. There were no customers, other than myself. Staff zipped out from the back when I'd entered. There's no self-service kiosks, so customers order at the counter. Staff is friendly and welcoming. After receiving my drink, Staff vanished into the back for the entire time. The drink took one minute and six seconds. Fast!! As mentioned, the Brown Sugar Milk Tea ($5.50) with Boba (additional 79 cents) is not awful. It's big, cheap, and thirst-quenching. Although the boba lacked any perkiness, I did appreciate its very small sweetness. Concerning the ambiance, it felt sad. Chairs had mysterious black stains, dust & webs gripped the windows' corners, yellow & aged plants lazed about, and lights stayed dimly lit like a haunted house. However, there's utility. Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) has six electrical outlets. There's also customer internet with password; details on the plastic countertop. And there's a restroom for customers. In addition, the floors and tables are fairly clean. Overall, Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) feels like a forgotten relic of time. At the very minimum, it's an adequate establishment. If you're searching for affordability and a place to study/work, there's potential. 3.3 out of 5
