Fish taco

Servers were attentive and kind. It's a bar atmosphere. Don't come here expecting Mexican food. I really don't know how to explain it other than, clearly people come to drink and have a snack. Can't say I'd be back, simply bc the food didn't hit. So if you're looking for good Mexican,'go up the street.

Claremont has so many options to pick from and yesterday I came into this establishment. The decor is pretty cool and the place is a decent size. Not to big not to small. We were greeted and they brought complimentary waters for the table. The food was not bad at all everything tasted great. However we did order 2 lemonades and a cocktail that we never received and when we got the bill they were charged. After speaking with the server she did apologize and removed them from our bill. Accidents happen and they made it right.

quite literally the best fish tacos my fiancé and I have had in our lives. It is quite expensive however we do think that it's worth it because it is so good.

Freshly fried corn tortilla chips and tasty salsa. wow.

Still waiting on that bean order.... Maybe they will show up and surprise me. Or not....

Came here for dinner after getting my hair done at Escape Salon on the next street over. My cousin had been before and said they had good food. Well I ordered the Flaco burrito because I felt like having something different. It was so good! Salsa is very good that comes with chips. Server that took our order was very friendly. Chill spot to hang and have some drinks also. They have a good happy hour menu.

Wanted some breakfast on a Sunday morning after visiting the farmers market. Stopped in because it wasn't too busy. Greeted immediately and was told to be seated anywhere I chose. Decor is kind of strange but whatever works. I was there for food. Ordered chilaquiles and was not disappointed. There were a decent amount of chips, but not so much as to overwhelm the plate. Salsa was mild, which was great since I'm not a spice person. I am a rice and beans person, so glad to see a good amount of each. Rice and beans were good. The quantity and spice level may not be everyone's taste, but I found both to be a good balance of food on the plate. I guess you can say it's more Americanized. Seasonal margarita was decent as well. I'd definitely eat this dish again

Solid Mexican food and fun vibes! The flaco burrito bowl was flavorful and filling, and the sweet and spicy salsa paired nicely. I think my favorite part of my meal was the chips and salsa (not pictured) and also the fun decor in this location!

I was skeptical at first because when I arrived one of the Servers (the one in all black in the photo) looked dead at me at least three times, ignoring me. We even made eye contact, as if she was about to come and assist me, but turned and went to check out another table. Smh Granted, I could tell I wasn't what appeared to be their "usual"customer, but still, at least not make your willingness to not assist me so obvious. Anyway, not too much long later, another young lady came and sat me, she was amazing, very genuine. I ordered a shrimp taco, and a carnitas taco. Both were very good. The green sauce, which I typically deny, was delicious. The restaurant definitely gives bar type vibe. In MY opinion, it could stand to be a bit cleaner. It wasn't very crowded, but I had to request that my table be thoroughly cleaned and I even had to wipe it again after. And, that was not the only thing I noticed, but it was most significant to MY visit. Right before I was about to leave, I guess the server that ignored me, wanted to redeem herself because she came up to my table and literally smiled at me from ear to ear, asking if I enjoyed my meal. Lol I can't help but think it was because the young lady that took my order noticed me doing my check-in, and I told her that it was my first time . Other than those scenarios, it was a good visit and I will definitely return to try some of their other tacos. I deducted a star because of the first impression.

10/10 service! Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The food was so good (seriously, I'm still thinking about it), and the decor inside was super unique and fun to look at! I'm curious to check out their other locations and see if each spot has its own twist or if they all share that same Sanchos vibe.

I love a good hard shell taco and the carne asada was so flavorful and had the char-grilled taste that I absolutely love! The tacos were pretty big too which made me so full. The staff were super friendly! Will probably be back every Sunday from now on. Keep in mind, it is fully outdoor seating with picnic tables! But a perfect place for a quick lunch or dinner. :)

The food and service have definitely had their ups and downs over the years. It's still good, but I don't think it's quite what it used to be, especially at the current price point. I stopped in on a Sunday evening when Claremont Village was pretty light. There were several families enjoying themselves on the patio, which is still a nice place to grab a bite and hang out. The biggest issue this visit was the wait. There was one person steadily working on fresh tortilla production, which I could appreciate, but the cashier was also the person cooking and preparing all the food. I had a larger order for my family, so I was already waiting a while when I watched another family walk up. They were acknowledged, but after waiting at least five minutes without getting a chance to actually place their order, they eventually left. While I was waiting, I went over to the self-serve salsa bar, which was pretty much dry. There wasn't any obvious sign of a fresh restock happening either. If you're going to have a self-serve salsa bar, it should be stocked. The fish tacos were the highlight for me. The fish was a nice thick cut, with fresh cabbage and a spicy sauce that worked really well. The nachos had potential, but the asada was overcooked and a little dry. Overall, Petiscos is still good, but the price is higher than I think it should be, and the wait time doesn't help. I've been coming here long enough that I know what I'm getting, and it's close enough to home that I'll come back when it's convenient. This isn't somewhere I'd take someone to impress or go when I'm looking for a really good meal. I'm not sure I'd even recommend it to an out-of-towner. It's more of a casual stop or a place to grab something with the family and hang out on the patio. Overall, still good enough to come back to from time to time, but it's shy of being one of the better spots around.

We absolutely love this place and decided to come for our anniversary. I'll preface this by saying…read morethe food taste was amazing, like always. But some shady charges or maybe we'll call it miscommunication just rubbed me the wrong way. I always order the mole chicken enchiladas and my wife (being vegetarian) asks for the same dish but if the enchiladas can be vegetable or cheese. Apparently this means a 8$ up charge? We've done this many times in the past and always been charged the same price for both. I asked the server at the end "the veggie version is 8$ more expensive than chicken?" And he just shrugged and said yes. Just found it interesting that a meat dish would be 8$ less than a purely cheese/veggie dish. Especially since done this in the past with no issue. I also asked for "hot sauce" for my dish. They brought out a spicier house salsa as the hot sauce...totally understandable and the salsa here is usually free. Apparently it's a 4$ "chipotle sauce" that the waiter did not inform me would be charged. I would've easily just said I want tapatio or no "hot sauce". I used maybe a teaspoon for 4$. I told the waiter this when we questioned the bill and he just shrugged. These may seem like small inconveniences but when they seem like they intentionally don't tell you the details and then when called out about it just kinda shrug it off, it was a disappointing end to an otherwise tasty dinner. We love it here and will certainly be back but it just sucks that I have to be extra cautious & skeptical when ordering from now on.

I was hoping they would have a Taco Tuesday special or something but they don't... I ordered 2 carne asada and 1 al pastor tacos to go. They were prettty solid and delicious! Carne asada was really nice, the al pastor was definitely more flavorful, but it had more of the burnt ends, so it was either even more flavorful from the charred parts, or it was a bit hard and too crispy to have. Overall, still pretty nice though. I liked how they had the side bar, which it doesn't look entirely the cleanest, but pretty decent. Total for 3 tacos came out to be $9, so it's about $3 each. Kinda high for tacos imo, but they're pretty good.

I was honestly too hungry and eager to take a picture beforehand, but I can assure you the portions are plentiful. The tacos were a little greasy, but still really satisfying.
