My family came here for breakfast and we were in awe at how great the food was! The Chilaquiles doesn't come with asada, but I added it and it made the meal 10 million times more amazing ! The service was incredible, and the ambience was just as amazing. The horchata tasted so fresh and delicious, and they seriously have the biggest mimosa on the whole planet! This place is a hidden gem! I love trying out new places for my birthday so we decided to try this place for breakfast and it was a great choice! Food was delicious! And the staff was friendly and always there to ask if we needed anything. Chilaquiles was on point! Getting half red and half green gave me the opportunity to try out both sauces and they were both so good! I love it when there's a slight kick but not too much to over power the entree. Some places make it way too spicy, but this place had it perfect!! The chips were still crunchy even with all the flavorful sauce they added. It was the best chilaquiles I've ever had! The huevos rancheros was really good too and had so much flavor. Definitely will be coming back again soon! My sister had tried this place and told us rave reviews about the food. So we had to try it. I dunno if it was an off day or not but service was not great. We came on a Sunday after around 1... we tried giving the benefit of the doubt that they are busy and it is a small place. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated and at least the host was nice enough to update us about our table. When our table was finally ready and We were seated it took about 10 minutes for someone to actually come and greet us and take our order. We were greeted and then we were told she would come back but it took another 10 minutes before she came back and took our order. We were a party of 3 and all asked for water and cafe de olla. We ordered 2 chorizo bowls, a side of churro pancakes and a dirty burrito with Birria. Another 10 minutes later we had no water and no cafe de olla. My husband had to get up and physically ask for our drinks. We got the cafe de olla but never got our waters. I totally understand that it is a mom and pop place and it was busy but nobody checked on us until our food arrived. The two chorizo bowls arrived first and then another 10 minutes passed and finally my burrito came. They forgot our churro pancakes and we had to again ask for it and then that took another 10 minutes and by then we were getting full and almost done with our food . No one checked on us until we were the last few tables left in the restaurant and we asked for the check. And she still had the nerve to cleans up 3 other tables before giving us the check. The food was good. The tortillas tasted fresh and handmade. Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday on a Friday morning, and there was no wait. The space is small with limited indoor seating and no outdoor seating. Everything on the menu looked so good--it was honestly hard to decide. I ended up getting the chilaquiles with steak, with half green and half red sauce. It wasn't spicy at all (which I loved), but the flavor was amazing. They also bring salsas to the table, so you can add heat if you want. My husband got the chilaquiles with green sauce and really enjoyed them, but said next time he'd go for the half red and half green like mine. My mom ordered the chile relleno burrito--she said it tasted good, but it wasn't what she expected since the chile relleno seemed to be diced and mixed inside rather than whole. For drinks, I ordered the dirty horchata. If you enjoy a strong coffee flavor, I'd definitely recommend it--it had a great balance and wasn't overly sweet. My husband got a regular horchata as well. The service however was lacking severely. When we walked in, we weren't greeted by anyone, they sat us as a dirty table when there were quite a few that were clean that they could have sat us at. A couple more people came in after we did and they were greeted and their orders were taken and put out much faster than ours was. I probably wouldn't go back honestly. Their quote on the window proudly claims they have the "Best Chilaquiles in the IE." Unfortunately, that couldn't have been further from our experience. We came in excited and hopeful, but the chilaquiles had little to no flavor and were very disappointing. The taco we ordered was just okay--nothing memorable or worth returning for. The service was also extremely slow. To make matters worse, when we received our bill, each item showed dual pricing. We had to ask what the additional charge was, only to be told it was related to credit card purchases. The staff then pointed out that cash prices were lower and claimed the information was listed on the menu. While it may have been there, the print was so small that it was easy to miss, and no one mentioned it to us beforehand. It felt misleading to only explain it after we questioned the bill. Overall, we left disappointed. Between the bland food, slow service, and lack of transparency regarding pricing, this wasn't a good experience. Sadly, we won't be coming back. read more

I went to the lady and said I'm sorry my kids are not in high chairs may we get another table and she said she would put me in the next available and that table is it. I came to ask about how much longer and another lady came and she asked my name and said yes I can sit you there she said "let me just clean it" (it was already clean) while the original lady yelled over and said I am seating her over there (on the corner). The waffle plate was --crispy on the outside, soft inside, loaded with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and whipped cream, all drenched in this rich, creamy sauce that wasn't overly sweet. Perfect balance. The breakfast burrito was just as impressive--crispy, cheesy on the outside with a solid, flavorful filling. You can tell they actually season their food here, not just throw it together. We decided to give the new Mexican restaurant SedCocina a try -- and honestly, it turned out to be one of the more disappointing dining experiences we've had lately. We were seated fairly quickly, but it took a long time before anyone came to take our order -- not even water was offered at the start. It seemed like the staff were more focused on a private social gathering happening in the restaurant than on their paying customers. I ordered the Surfin' Burrito, while my wife went with a Torta and a drink. Unfortunately, the food didn't deliver. My burrito came out early but was overly salty and had only a couple of shrimp pieces, which made the $19 price tag feel unjustified. To top it off, chips weren't included -- which is a surprise for a Mexican spot at that price point. My wife's torta wasn't much better. While the meat was okay, the fried cheese was extremely salty, and the rest of the ingredients didn't come together flavor-wise. Her dish cost $20 but only came with what looked like store-bought chips. The total came to about $70 with tip for just two entrées and one drink, and sadly, the food quality and service didn't justify the price. To make matters worse, one of the staff members was even on a FaceTime call on speaker with their family -- right in the dining area. It was loud, unprofessional, and left a bad impression. Overall, SedCocina has potential, but the poor service, overpriced menu, and lack of attention to customers make it a spot I wouldn't recommend -- at least not until they improve both their food and hospitality standards. read more

This is quite literally a gem of a place. I don't say that lightly. I've tried almost every single thing on the menu, from their tortas to their breakfast items to their tacos, even their desserts. I haven't had a single thing that was less than a 5/5. I'm not sure what it is, but the taste, aroma, and texture is all there perfectly for every single menu item they have. My personal favorite is the dirty burrito, easily my go-to nowadays. That's not to say the food is the only thing that's good. Their service is friendly! It feels hospitable and "homey." They always care and ask you about the quality of their food, it actually feels like everyone that works here has a passion for the food they serve. The restaurant has such a unique decor scheme unlike others I've seen. It just makes you feel comfortable and not in a hurry to leave. A bit of a belated review. I went with some friends for Saturday brunch. It's a cozy spot and we were seated right away but it did take a while to get the menus and a little extra time to get our orders in. I shared the sampler (Queso Birria; Carnitas street taco; Dirty Queso with carne asada) and the Chilaquiles divorciados. The meals were good but had a different flavor profile than what I'm used to - for example, the chilaquile sauces tasted a little more mild and not as flavorful as what I'm used to and the carne asada also had a bit of a different profile (almost dry-aged). I think it might be a regional style, which I think they could definitely advertise, if that's the case :) I was most excited for the queso birria.
