Brunch is one of my favorite experiences and I have explored many awesome spots in California & Oregon & I have to admit that this one is a GEM. Every employee made us feel welcomed and made us feel at home. The food was outstanding: we had the chilaquiles and the tree leches maiz waffle and both were stellar recommendations. The flavor profile and delicate care with which they make their food is obvious. To drink, we enjoyed a dirty horchata and a fresh made orange juice; both were stand outs and added to the unique homey experience. Finally, this place doesn't just talk the talk. They genuinely care about the community, want genuine feedback to improve and care about their costumers. I will be back for both my birthday as well as my mother's. The whole experience was great. They had the friendliest and warmest service which really left a lasting impression. The food very yummy! Their dishes are traditional yet have a unique take that makes them something you can only get at SeD Cocina. For example, the breakfast burrito had a garlic sauce in it that made this burrito something I really loved. The chilaquiles were yummy. Red salsa is smokier and green is tangy. As for the coffees, my party tried a horchata latte and a mocha (I believe) and an iced cafe de olla. All were amazing. the Horchata latte blew my mind though. It was more than just an horchata with coffee. The flavors worked so well together and it's been the best version of an horchata and coffee drink that I have tried, Try this local business out. This place is a hidden gem! I love trying out new places for my birthday so we decided to try this place for breakfast and it was a great choice! Food was delicious! And the staff was friendly and always there to ask if we needed anything. Chilaquiles was on point! Getting half red and half green gave me the opportunity to try out both sauces and they were both so good! I love it when there's a slight kick but not too much to over power the entree. Some places make it way too spicy, but this place had it perfect!! The chips were still crunchy even with all the flavorful sauce they added. It was the best chilaquiles I've ever had! The huevos rancheros was really good too and had so much flavor. Definitely will be coming back again soon! 1/28/26 Sadly, they're sold out of the elote flan (reason we visited), awaiting delivery of local baker. But READ ON. This place would've been walking distance from our previous house. My sister had tried this place and told us rave reviews about the food. So we had to try it. I dunno if it was an off day or not but service was not great. We came on a Sunday after around 1... we tried giving the benefit of the doubt that they are busy and it is a small place. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated and at least the host was nice enough to update us about our table. When our table was finally ready and We were seated it took about 10 minutes for someone to actually come and greet us and take our order. We were greeted and then we were told she would come back but it took another 10 minutes before she came back and took our order. We were a party of 3 and all asked for water and cafe de olla. We ordered 2 chorizo bowls, a side of churro pancakes and a dirty burrito with Birria. Another 10 minutes later we had no water and no cafe de olla. My husband had to get up and physically ask for our drinks. We got the cafe de olla but never got our waters. I totally understand that it is a mom and pop place and it was busy but nobody checked on us until our food arrived. The two chorizo bowls arrived first and then another 10 minutes passed and finally my burrito came. They forgot our churro pancakes and we had to again ask for it and then that took another 10 minutes and by then we were getting full and almost done with our food . Afte After a fun night out with friends, my wife and I needed some good food to cure our mild hangovers. She was craving a bean and cheese burrito and a bowl of menudo, while I had my heart set on the chilaquiles. We ordered online, picked everything up in about 30 minutes, and headed home. After one bite of the bean and cheese burrito, we both looked at each other and said, "Oh my God!" I'm usually not a big fan of bean and cheese burritos, but SeD completely changed my mind. It was packed with incredible flavor. My wife also loved her menudo. We were missing the usual onion, cilantro, and oregano on the side, but I'm not sure if I overlooked that option when ordering. It worked out because I shared some of the cilantro and onion from my chilaquiles. Speaking of the chilaquiles, they were exactly what I was craving. The tortilla chips had a great corn flavor, the green salsa was savory and delicious, and the meat added even more flavor. My only regret was not ordering extra eggs! Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday on a Friday morning, and there was no wait. I ended up getting the chilaquiles with steak, with half green and half red sauce. It wasn't spicy at all (which I loved), but the flavor was amazing. They also bring salsas to the table, so you can add heat if you want. My husband got the chilaquiles with green sauce and really enjoyed them, but said next time he'd go for the half red and half green like mine. My mom ordered the chile relleno burrito--she said it tasted good, but it wasn't what she expected since the chile relleno seemed to be diced and mixed inside rather than whole. For drinks, I ordered the dirty horchata. If you enjoy a strong coffee flavor, I'd definitely recommend it--it had a great balance and wasn't overly sweet. My husband got a regular horchata as well. We decided to give the new Mexican restaurant SedCocina a try -- and honestly, it turned out to be one of the more disappointing dining experiences we've had lately. We were seated fairly quickly, but it took a long time before anyone came to take our order -- not even water was offered at the start. It seemed like the staff were more focused on a private social gathering happening in the restaurant than on their paying customers. I ordered the Surfin' Burrito, while my wife went with a Torta and a drink. Unfortunately, the food didn't deliver. My burrito came out early but was overly salty and had only a couple of shrimp pieces, which made the $19 price tag feel unjustified. To top it off, chips weren't included -- which is a surprise for a Mexican spot at that price point. My wife's torta wasn't much better. While the meat was okay, the fried cheese was extremely salty, and the rest of the ingredients didn't come together flavor-wise. Her dish cost $20 but only came with what looked like store-bought chips. The total came to about $70 with tip for just two entrées and one drink, and sadly, the food quality and service didn't justify the price. To make matters worse, one of the staff members was even on a FaceTime call on speaker with their family -- right in the dining area. It was loud, unprofessional, and left a bad impression. Overall, SedCocina has potential, but the poor service, overpriced menu, and lack of attention to customers make it a spot I wouldn't recommend -- at least not until they improve both their food and hospitality standards. read more

A bit of a belated review. I went with some friends for Saturday brunch. It's a cozy spot and we were seated right away but it did take a while to get the menus and a little extra time to get our orders in. I shared the sampler (Queso Birria; Carnitas street taco; Dirty Queso with carne asada) and the Chilaquiles divorciados. The meals were good but had a different flavor profile than what I'm used to - for example, the chilaquile sauces tasted a little more mild and not as flavorful as what I'm used to and the carne asada also had a bit of a different profile (almost dry-aged). I think it might be a regional style, which I think they could definitely advertise, if that's the case :) I was most excited for the queso birria. This is quite literally a gem of a place. I don't say that lightly. I've tried almost every single thing on the menu, from their tortas to their breakfast items to their tacos, even their desserts. I haven't had a single thing that was less than a 5/5. I'm not sure what it is, but the taste, aroma, and texture is all there perfectly for every single menu item they have. My personal favorite is the dirty burrito, easily my go-to nowadays. That's not to say the food is the only thing that's good. Their service is friendly! It feels hospitable and "homey." They always care and ask you about the quality of their food, it actually feels like everyone that works here has a passion for the food they serve. The restaurant has such a unique decor scheme unlike others I've seen. It just makes you feel comfortable and not in a hurry to leave.
