Absolutely delicious! Had the Peruvian chicken à la brasa and lomo saltado and both were great! The salad dressing was bomb and so were the two salsas they carry. Great service! Will be back!

My sister and I were craving for some Peruvian Food. Peruvian Food will always have a special place in my heart. We found one Yelp called, LAa28 in Upland and decided to go. They are located off the 210fwy in Upland, at the shopping center where Carl's Jr and Ono Hawaiian BBQ is.. When we arrived there was a sign that said that it was a soft opening. We got inside and the interior was very colorful and the visuals on the wall were very cool in my opinion. I looked at their menu and ordered a Lomo Saltado w/Fried Egg and a Large Chicha Morada. The Lomo Saltado comes with: Wok-tossed over high flames with juicy beef, onions, tomatoes: sautéed together. Served with white rice and fries. After we ordered, went outside to take a seat. Waited a couple of minutes for our order to be ready and it arrived. The one thing that stood out was the size of the plate and that it was hot and could tell that it was freshly prepared. Couldn't wait to try and it did not disappoint. This Lomo Saltado in my personal opinion was one of the best I have ever had. Portions on the plate in my opinion, was very generous. The beef texture was very tender and had flavor from the marinade; possibly Filet Mignon. The fried egg that I ordered was amazing. This was very first time I ordered an egg on a Lomo Saltado and it was so delicious. Complemented everything on the dish and I highly recommend it to try; if you like egg. The Chicha Morada was refreshing and good. My overall experience was great and the portions and the Lomo Saltado was excellent. In my personal opinion, I would definitely recommend La28 if you want to try really good Peruvian Food and if you are in the Upland area. Next time, I go I want to try their other items on the menu.

I came here to try their lomo saltado. They opened up recently near Starbucks and Dick's Sporting Goods. The lomo saltado ($19.98) came with rice and tender slices of beef with chopped onions and tomatoes with a side of spicy green sauce. The sauce had a good amount of heat. The fries were still a bit crispy with the onions still had a bite. The staff was nice and the place is clean. Parking lot can get busy.

My first time eating at LA28, the food is really good, the chicken was well seasoned and cooked to perfection, the aji de polleria was really delicious.

My husband and I have eaten at Picante Peru in Ontario. They told us about LA28 opening in Upland where Z Pizza used to be, next to Starbucks. Well they finally opened and my husband and I came in on Saturday 8/30. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It's more casual where you order first and take a seat. My husband got the 1/4 chicken with 2 sides and I got the Mostrito. The maracuyá (passion fruit) drink is so yummy. Crispy seasoned skin, juicy meat that you can pull apart with just a plastic fork and amazing sauces. We both demolished our meals. Prices are decent too. 100% recommend. My husband is already craving for more and wants to get a whole chicken to share next time.

La 28 in Upland never disappoints - even for takeout! I ordered the Chaufa de Carne, their Peruvian-style fried rice wok-tossed with juicy beef, egg, and fresh green onions. It was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and comforting - simple but packed with taste. I also grabbed both the Aji Pollero and Aji Verde sauces, which took the meal to the next level - creamy, spicy, and absolutely addictive. Everything traveled well, stayed fresh, and was just as delicious at home as dining in. Highly recommend La 28 for anyone craving authentic, well-made Peruvian food - whether you're dining in or taking it to go!

Do not sleep on La 28. Their rotisserie chicken is perfect. Juicy, just the right seasoning, and the skin gets crispy. The arroz Chaufa (fried rice but better) is also very good. The beef chunks were not dry. They serve huge fries that go great with the Ají Pollero - it's not spicy. If you want spicy get the green ají. If you are in Rancho come hit this place up. You won't be disappointed. Service was great and they play great music.

The best rotisserie chicken I ever had. Hot fresh fall of the bone with delicious seasonings. It with sauces. It's even better. I can't wait to come back.

So glad there is a pollo a la brasa spot in Upland. I ordered the 1/4 chicken with fries and salad. The chicken was super flavorful. Really liked the yellow sauce they provided with the chicken. Next time i'll order a chicha morada to go with my meal!

Got the Loma Saltado. Pretty delicious. The meat was tender. The rice was moist and fresh. The fries were good too. I went day 2 of opening. This place is insanely busy. But the service was nice. This place is where ZPizza used to be. The only thing I would recommend was for this place to put a little more French fries. I would recommend

Amazing Peruvian chicken. The salsas and fires just made it that much tastier. Highly recommend their plátanos fritos.

So I thought I give it another chance... BTW I am Peruvian, and I know how Peruvian Food tastes. - To begin with the Fish ceviche was kind of fishy tasting and locked of flavor. - The pieces of fish needed to be cut thinner not like big chunks. - I don't know if they only use fresh lemons or if they mix some other liquid for the ceviche juice... because the Ceviche juice it was watery and pretty citric not the crispy scent of fresh lemons that you experience at other Peruvian restaurants, - The red Rocoto sauce was runny & watery, same with the green sauce. I've never seen it so watery. - My husband's Lomo Saltado had zero flamed flavor for a "Peruvian Lomo Saltado" flaming the meat as you cook it is a key ingredient for flavor! - The beef was not tender, making it hard to chew & was cut in thin small pieces. - The potato fries were half raw and half cooked, kind of saggy - No wonder why on a Thursday around 6:30 PM when I walked in the restaurant to pick up my food, the Restaurant was empty there was only one tourist couple the rest of the tables were empty. Please if you want to eat Peruvian food go somewhere else because Peruvian food is famous for its unique bold taste full of flavor it keeps you craving for more, and is not supposed to taste like this pretty disappointing.

Mr. Pollo is a little place in the middle of a small strip center serving up amazing rotisserie chicken and Peruvian dishes. They don't have an extensive menu, but everything is so good. On this recent visit, we ordered the Whole Chicken meal ($32.60), which comes with your choice of two large sides. We got the mashed potatoes & gravy and the beans. This is one of the best rotisserie chickens we've had, and the sides were quite tasty as well. They also have Loma Saltado, Chaufa de Pollo (chicken fried rice), Tallarin Verde con Pechuga de Pollo (chicken served on spaghetti with spinach sauce), and a few other dishes to choose from. It's a very popular place and the dining area is on the small side, so be prepared that you might not find a place to sit. A lot of customers take their orders "to go". If you're looking for delicious food at reasonable prices, I recommend that you check them out.

The Empanada was filled with seasoned beef, olives, and hard boiled eggs. The filling was flavorful although the crust was more tender than crisp. It could have used some additional time to attain a decent outer crust. Pollo Saltado consisted of a large portion of tender, boneless chicken, stir fried with French fries and onion and served with steamed rice. It was delicious accompanied by the rice but was very salty from the soy sauce by itself. (This is an extremely common occurrence with this particular dish due to the varying salinity level of different soy sauce brands.) Since the saltado had a good overall flavor, if I were to order this again, I would recommend requesting that the food be made with a little less soy sauce. A dinner roll and butter blend was also served with this meal. The Chicha Morada I ordered as a beverage was delightfully delicious and refreshing from the mix of various fruit juices. The waitstaff were polite and efficient. There were no problems for me as for the service. The restaurant is freeway close to the 10 and there are plenty of parking spaces in the lot. Most of their business seems to be take out but dining in is also a good option. The video stereo system, providing the background music, played some nice tracks which made for an enjoyable experience. I would definitely entertain a return visit soon.
