This was our first time at Pola's and we had a great experience. The food was very fresh and delicious. We tried the aguachile, camarón tostada, and pescado tostada, and everything was full of flavor and very fresh. The micheladas were so good, and we loved that they keep the beer on ice so it stays super cold when you pour it. That small detail makes a big difference. The service was very nice and everyone was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Professor KW, for the recommendation. It was spot on!

El sin nombre was 10/10. Shout out to the wonderful mesera! 10/10 service.

10/10 evytbing was amazing! The mesera went above and beyond while handling multiple customers! Will definitely be back again!

This is hands down the best place for fish tacos and fresh seafood mixes. This place had an almost perfect sore for a reason. The owner here is always so welcoming and friendly and you can either done in or eat out. I have been coming here for years and the ceviche and fish tacos NEVER disappoint. Want authentic Mexican with authentic prices and hospitality, please check this place out. Top Tier food & service!!!

The food was so good, I ate here twice in one week! The first time I ate here, I got a shrimp taco, fish, taco, and a side of ceviche, and the ceviche brought me back for a second visit because of how fresh and delicious it was. I came with my friend on Friday, and the guy that helped us, walked us through the menu and was really patient with us, as everything sounded good. I ended up getting the tostadas mixtas aguachiles style, and if you add the mayo as the base, it is truly a 10/10 The restaurant is pretty spacious, and the music was perfect. I will definitely be back!

Their tacos Dorados de Camarón (Golden/Fried Shrimp Tacos) with cheese plate is super yummy and served with a bit of raw shrimp salad on the side. Service is excellent and El Jefe is very friendly! Love the family style ambiance and cleanness of this restaurant. Price is about $30 per person including drinks!

We love Pola's! Stopped by on the way home to get a shrimp ceviche and it was amazing yet again! Their prices have increased (like everywhere else) but you definitely should go! Quality food costs more and this is definitely the best quality ceviche you can get

Came by around 5:45pm on a Friday and had a great experience. Friendly service from the start. You walk up to order at the counter and there is seating inside. The fish was fresh with a crispy batter. After we sat down they brought out limes, mayo, and hot sauce, which was a nice touch since some places are switching to lemons now. The tostada was served nice and cold, which I appreciated. We ordered 3 fish tacos, 1 shrimp taco, a tostada mixta, a fruit punch Jarrito, and a Mineragua. Everything hit the spot. They also have a self serve water station and sell beer, but I skipped alcohol this time. It looks like a family running the place and everyone was super friendly. I'm impressed and will definitely be coming back.

A almost $7 TACO , I think Tilapia. Not worth it.

Been coming here for years, not often but enough. I think almost all the times I've been there the owner has been there. This time it was about 3 or 4 young lady's and a young man. I ordered the regular molcajete, fish taco and 1/2 dozen oysters. The girl who took my order was not very nice. She was having a conversation with another one of the girls. Taco was not worth it. Didn't even get any salsa for it for $7., oysters just came with lime no crackers or tapatio/tabasco $15, then the molcajete? $30 3 tostadas, sm mayo and sm chili. No crackers or extra chili. Ok, I gave them a $3 tip for to go. Most people I know don't leave any. Sad, that around 6 on a Saturday, there was only one table taken with 2 people. Cute spot. They now serve beer. Something needs to change. It has potential to be busy with a waiting list.

This place is chefs kiss! It's a small restaurant but there is plenty of seating. Everyone working here is super friendly. The food is always fresh and tastes amazing. Anything from here is great, but I highly recommend the shrimp tacos with their hot sauce. The shrimp is lightly battered and so flavorful!

This place is INSANELY RIDICULOUS in ALL the BEST ways possible. Ridiculously FRESH, ridiculously delicious, and ridiculously worth the drive (I live in the SGV). Id give it 6 stars if I could.

But some shady charges or maybe we'll call it miscommunication just rubbed me the wrong way. I always order the mole chicken enchiladas and my wife (being vegetarian) asks for the same dish but if the enchiladas can be vegetable or cheese. Apparently this means a 8$ up charge? We've done this many times in the past and always been charged the same price for both. I asked the server at the end "the veggie version is 8$ more expensive than chicken?" And he just shrugged and said yes. Just found it interesting that a meat dish would be 8$ less than a purely cheese/veggie dish. Especially since done this in the past with no issue. I also asked for "hot sauce" for my dish. They brought out a spicier house salsa as the hot sauce...totally understandable and the salsa here is usually free. Apparently it's a 4$ "chipotle sauce" that the waiter did not inform me would be charged. I would've easily just said I want tapatio or no "hot sauce". I used maybe a teaspoon for 4$. I told the waiter this when we questioned the bill and he just shrugged. These may seem like small inconveniences but when they seem like they intentionally don't tell you the details and then when called out about it just kinda shrug it off, it was a disappointing end to an otherwise tasty dinner. We love it here and will certainly be back but it just sucks that I have to be extra cautious & skeptical when ordering from now on.

She even complimented my sister's outfit, was very conversational, and just over all great! I wish I got her name so I could give her a thank you here. As for our actual waitress, she just seemed like she did not want to be there. I understand we all have off days or maybe stuff going on at home, but this was our first time here. After trying Chef José's Zacatecan style fare, consider a new addition bullseyed and pinpointed! I'd stumbled in here a few nights ago- Mexico had just defeated a hearty South Korea squad in their second WC game, clinching the Group for El Tri and creating a palpable buzz among the Green/Orange & Red clad partisans who'd thronged El Ranchero... Leti and I shared a bowl of hearty Albondigas Soup to start- This is probably the finest restaurant take on the soup we've ever sampled! Most places will serve watery, tomato/carrot dense broths w/ a nominal, wan meatball. Not El Ranchero! Here, the soup is lovingly ladled w/ copious amounts of carrot, onion, cabbage and yes even a trio of meatballs. Hearty, decadent soup! We also shared a Jamaica Margarita. On the plus side it's $13 tab is decently priced- but if we are honest the drink was weaker than the Trump Administration is on corruption! The service was just okay, but what really bothered me was being charged $17 for my daughter, who is only 2 years old. She barely ate anything, just about two pieces of watermelon and a small bite of concha bread. For that amount of food, I found the $17 charge completely unreasonable. When I questioned the charge, the waiter explained that because the food was put on her plate rather than being fed to her directly by us, they considered her to have eaten from the buffet and charged the full $17. He also mentioned that management is watching the cameras to determine whether children are eating from the buffet. Honestly, I find this policy excessive. I understand that buffets need rules to prevent people from sharing food or taking advantage of the system, but charging $17 for a 2 year old who ate practically nothing seems unreasonable. There should be some sort of reduced price or reasonable policy for toddlers, especially when they consume such a small amount of food. The food may be worth trying, but because of this experience and the way the situation was handled, I would think twice before returning. A $17 charge for what my 2-year-old actually ate felt ridiculous and left a very negative impression
