    Al Pastor burrito
    Demetrius G.

I bought a carne asada taco and a Al Pastor burrito. The taco was okay, the corn tortilla was made in house, which was tasty but the meat was slightly chewy and not seasoned enough. The burrito was good, it had good flavor and was plentiful and the tortilla was good.

A gem! We stopped by for the first time on a whim and fell in love. The service is so friendly and warm, that when we were invited to sit and eat instead of taking it to go, we immediately said yes! I got a battered fish quesitaco, potato taco, and bean and cheese burrito. All of it was extremely flavorful, made fresh, and the salsa was great. When one of my tortillas wasn't exactly the order, they even proactively sent a fresh warm cheese tortilla even though I didn't realize the difference! We will definitely add this into our regularly rotation.

Had this for take out dinner the other day and it was so yummy. The quality of meat made a difference in these tacos 100%. They also make their own corn tortillas!! They have such a good variety of sauces and salsas, love the heat of these. To eat we had the al pastor, carne asada, shrimp, and crispy potato tacos + rice and beans. My surprising favorite was the crispy potato taco... I am still thinking about it.

Small casual modern taqueria located not far off the freeway in Montclair. I think I bookmarked them because I saw them on my feeds and their burritos or special items look pretty amazing. I went here specifically for some al pastor tacos on National Taco Day after work, haha. As soon as I came in, I was greeted by some of the friendliest folks. It was an a bit of the later side of a weeknight so I was able to order right away. I got the two taco combo with al pastor, which came with rice and beans and I can't remember if the beverage was included or if I ordered that in addition. They make their tortillas in house so it has that thicker texture and the flavors of the tortilla and the meat were great. The beans and rice were solid and so was the horchata. As far as fast casual taquerias, this place is great. Definitely want to come back and try one of the more insane looking creations they have to offer. Plus, it seemed to have plenty of parking right out front when I was there.

Aye ya, sometimes I think that TikTok overhypes things! I have seen this all over social media so maybe that's my fault to get excited before I taste myself. Just got a carne Asada burrito to share with a friend since we wanted something sweet. My friend kept saying there's not that much meat for $15 maybe your half has more. By time I tried mine and I felt same as her not enough meat. The beans were tasty I liked the flavor of those. Too skimpy on meat. The staff were friendly and efficient. Inside was small cute and clean. Overall it was a cute little place. I would like to come back and try again to see if something else catches my taste buds.

Huge shoutout to Al Pastor and the team! They took amazing care of us during our lunch break from construction. The hospitality was on point, and we were blessed with complimentary bean tacos that hit the spot. The service was fast, the food was delicious, and the overall vibe made us feel right at home. We truly appreciate the love and support -- highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Stumbled aross Al Pastor Taqueria, and decided to grab a quick bite to eat. The restaurant was very clean and was immediately welcomed with a smile when I walked in the door! They had a variety of different dishes with different proteins. I asked the kind chef what her favorite à la carte tacos were and she highly recommended their shrimp tacos and boy was she right! The shrimp tacos were cooked and prepared to perfection! Although I don't have all the fixings on my tacos due to preference, I very much enjoyed these! I'm so happy that I tried this place out, and I can't wait to come back to try more of their menu! Thank you!!

Tortilla with a dash of meat and onion

I had the misfortune of trying this taqueria and left extremely disappointed. We arrived around 3 p.m. the restaurant was empty, and parking was plentiful. We were both hungry and excited to try the tacos since the reviews looked promising. The place was clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The cashier, in particular, was kind, informative, and made sure to check for any allergy concerns, which I appreciated. However, the food was a major letdown. The prices were the first red flag nearly $5 per taco. But I thought maybe the quality justified the price? I ordered two asada tacos and one pastor taco, while my husband went with the pastor burrito. Given that the restaurant's name features pastor, we figured it would be their specialty. When the food arrived, I was met with three mediocre tacos. The portion size was small, and the presentation was unappealing. First, the street tacos came with only one tortilla and not two... Second, the meat barely covered the tortilla, extremely skimpy. The tacos had just a sprinkle of onion and cilantro, and overall looked carelessly put together. For size reference, the meat portion was the size of my index and middle finger, and even the lime wedge was almost the same size. Flavor wise, both the asada and pastor were disappointing. The asada was tender but bland had potential of it were to be seasoned correctly, while the pastor was oily, mushy, and completely lacked seasoning. The creamy cilantro sauce that came with the pastor tacos tasted mayonnaise, practically a mayo taco with a dash of onion and cilantro. My husband's pastor burrito was no better. It completely fell apart, forcing him to eat it with a fork. To make things worse, the burrito was mostly beans and rice, what is typically known as a filler when skimping out on meat. they should just call it a vegetarian burrito at that point. The only positives were the good horchata and the small salsa bar with a few decent options. Also the tortilla might be made in house but they are not made to order. We saw the cook pulling out the tortillas from a stack of premade tortillas. Overall, this place was a huge disappointment. These are not authentic Mexican tacos, they're overpriced, money hungry, and leave you hungry tacos. As a first-time visitor, I would never recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately, it feels like they prioritize profit over quality.

Had an asada taco, meat was not tender, chewy. The chicken was ok, could use more flavor. $9 for 2 tacos, probably won't come back.
