Talk about hidden gems, this place is in a business center next to a bunch of commercial businesses and the only restaurant in sight. Thankfully we found them through yelp and reviews were spot on. I was a little worried at first since there really wasn't may customers during peak lunch and I saw the fries coming from the freezer and not house made, but the food and service was spectacular. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the owner helped us through the menu. He recommended the lomo saltado and we were glad he did. Was the best dish for me. Had an Asian flair like teriyaki which made the difference. The fries were great too in this dish. Even the white rice was great. Perfect. We also ordered the shrimp fried rice which had large shrimp and was the second best dish followed closely by the chicken tallarín saltado and fried plantains. Don't forget the salsa. Nice heat and really added to all the dishes. A must try when in the area for sure.

Crazy gas by gas I mean great flavor and fulfilling . I ordered the Lomo Saltado, Yuca Frita, and an Inca Kola a great combination also recommended by Lucho who showed great hospitality . Great service.

Lomo saltado family serving of 2

Every single bite of all we got was nothing less than amazing, every plate was on point: savory/crispy calamari, lomo was excellent quality tender and juicy, shrimp tallarines were saucy and so tasty. Love the family style serving but can get individual servings as well. Reasonable prizes and worth every penny. Restaurant can use some upgrades but is clean and has good vibes. Service was good over all.

The food was super salty and they use frozen french fries to fill up the plate and very little meat. Do not recommend this place.

The staff were great from the kitchen to the food and beverage couriers. I was expecting a lower quality of food given the 100% capacity they were working with on Mother's Day but it was the same quality we were uss to when we would come in smaller groups and off peak times. We had the Loma Saltaldo and mixed empanadas. Both items were fantastic. Regarding the service, it was average, and could be improved by the servers checking in more frequently to refill drinks and see if customers need anything thing else. It's not uncommon we have to flag them down. Otherwise, another above average experience. Regarding the interior, it remains in good condition.

I had the Tallarin Saltado de Mariscos and the dish was fabulous. The mariscos included abundant shrimp, calamari rounds, and mussels, along with tomatoes, onions, red bell pepper, and green onions, of course mixed with tender pasta. This dish can readily serve two. My guest had the Tallarin Saltado de Carne, which was similar to the de Marisco dish, only with asada rather than seafood. It was a huge serving, with over half coming home for later. The table included the green peruvian ahi sauce and some warm bread rolls. The sauce was nice and spicy and the rolls were slightly toasted and served hot. The bread helped mop up the outstanding sauce on the mariscos dish. Of course, Inca Cola was available and a great accompaniment to Tallarin Saltado. Prices are flat out amazing and late lunch service on a Sunday was spot on. The food and table service warrant 5 stars, but the business practice of charging a 4% fee to use the credit card is downright shameful. If this fee was disclosed, it was clearly not obvious. Inca needs to modernize and build their credit card use costs into their overhead cost. What's next, a table cleaning fee, a salt and pepper fee, a dishwashing fee?

Today was the day I decided to stop by and give them a try. Since I wasn't very hungry, I opted to share a meal with my partner. We ordered the chicken Chaufa and an empanada. The meal also came with a dinner roll, which was nice, though a bit burnt, it was fine with butter. The service was good, and the Chaufa was decent, peppery and not as flavorful. Also, they didn't provide extra sauce when we took the leftovers home, which was a bit disappointing. And they charge $1 for credit card payments, I wish there had been a sign indicating this somewhere on the menu or near the register.

The Lomo Saltado had great flavor, though the beef was slightly overcooked. Still, the seasoning carried the dish. The fries were a standout--crispy and really well done. I was a bit let down by the fish. Since it came with chili, I expected more heat, but the chili sauce ended up being pretty bland. That was probably the weakest part of the meal. One surprise was the special: a stromboli at a Peruvian restaurant. It definitely caught me off guard, but it was actually really well made. I'm guessing they lean into some fusion here, which I'm totally open to. We wrapped things up with tiramisu, which was tasty and a nice way to end the meal--even if it added to the overall "eclectic" vibe. All in all, it's an interesting mix of flavors and styles. A bit unconventional, but worth trying at least once--maybe even again if you're in the mood for something different.

But it was more than the food; it was the service that made it so memorable. Our family had just arrived in Claremont for the first time; didn't know the area and were starving. Saw Inka Trails on Yelp and thought it looked good but it was about to close in 30 mins so we called to check if we could still make it. The lady who answered the phone was warm and welcoming, telling us to come on by. What followed was some of the most delicious food I've had, on par with Michelin-starred restaurants I have had the pleasured to dine at in Bangkok, San Sebastian, Paris...It was home cooking with the best ingredients - you can taste the freshness of the fish and vegetables and the fragrance of the herbs. Highly recommend the fish rice soup, the fried fish and fish stew in tomato broth. It was serious one of the best meals we have had. So the food was 5 stars, but what made me write this review was the owner Patty. She was warm and gracious. Asked us what brought us to Claremont and when we told her we were there to tour colleges, she was kind to share her insights on the school, experiences with the students, told us about safety and transits in the area. Remember this was all after the restaurant was already scheduled to be closed for the evening. We were never rushed and Patty was sincere and kind. As a frequent traveler and woman in business, I appreciate that. The experience was a highlight of our college visits and I hope to return to Inka Trails for another spectacular meal soon in the near future.

The Empanada was filled with seasoned beef, olives, and hard boiled eggs. The filling was flavorful although the crust was more tender than crisp. It could have used some additional time to attain a decent outer crust. Pollo Saltado consisted of a large portion of tender, boneless chicken, stir fried with French fries and onion and served with steamed rice. It was delicious accompanied by the rice but was very salty from the soy sauce by itself. (This is an extremely common occurrence with this particular dish due to the varying salinity level of different soy sauce brands.) Since the saltado had a good overall flavor, if I were to order this again, I would recommend requesting that the food be made with a little less soy sauce. A dinner roll and butter blend was also served with this meal. The Chicha Morada I ordered as a beverage was delightfully delicious and refreshing from the mix of various fruit juices. The waitstaff were polite and efficient. There were no problems for me as for the service. The restaurant is freeway close to the 10 and there are plenty of parking spaces in the lot. Most of their business seems to be take out but dining in is also a good option. The video stereo system, providing the background music, played some nice tracks which made for an enjoyable experience. I would definitely entertain a return visit soon.
