Absolutely delicious! Had the Peruvian chicken à la brasa and lomo saltado and both were great! The salad dressing was bomb and so were the two salsas they carry. Great service! Will be back!

My sister and I were craving for some Peruvian Food. Peruvian Food will always have a special place in my heart. We found one Yelp called, LAa28 in Upland and decided to go. They are located off the 210fwy in Upland, at the shopping center where Carl's Jr and Ono Hawaiian BBQ is.. When we arrived there was a sign that said that it was a soft opening. We got inside and the interior was very colorful and the visuals on the wall were very cool in my opinion. I looked at their menu and ordered a Lomo Saltado w/Fried Egg and a Large Chicha Morada. The Lomo Saltado comes with: Wok-tossed over high flames with juicy beef, onions, tomatoes: sautéed together. Served with white rice and fries. After we ordered, went outside to take a seat. Waited a couple of minutes for our order to be ready and it arrived. The one thing that stood out was the size of the plate and that it was hot and could tell that it was freshly prepared. Couldn't wait to try and it did not disappoint. This Lomo Saltado in my personal opinion was one of the best I have ever had. Portions on the plate in my opinion, was very generous. The beef texture was very tender and had flavor from the marinade; possibly Filet Mignon. The fried egg that I ordered was amazing. This was very first time I ordered an egg on a Lomo Saltado and it was so delicious. Complemented everything on the dish and I highly recommend it to try; if you like egg. The Chicha Morada was refreshing and good. My overall experience was great and the portions and the Lomo Saltado was excellent. In my personal opinion, I would definitely recommend La28 if you want to try really good Peruvian Food and if you are in the Upland area. Next time, I go I want to try their other items on the menu.

I came here to try their lomo saltado. They opened up recently near Starbucks and Dick's Sporting Goods. The lomo saltado ($19.98) came with rice and tender slices of beef with chopped onions and tomatoes with a side of spicy green sauce. The sauce had a good amount of heat. The fries were still a bit crispy with the onions still had a bite. The staff was nice and the place is clean. Parking lot can get busy.

My first time eating at LA28, the food is really good, the chicken was well seasoned and cooked to perfection, the aji de polleria was really delicious.

My husband and I have eaten at Picante Peru in Ontario. They told us about LA28 opening in Upland where Z Pizza used to be, next to Starbucks. Well they finally opened and my husband and I came in on Saturday 8/30. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It's more casual where you order first and take a seat. My husband got the 1/4 chicken with 2 sides and I got the Mostrito. The maracuyá (passion fruit) drink is so yummy. Crispy seasoned skin, juicy meat that you can pull apart with just a plastic fork and amazing sauces. We both demolished our meals. Prices are decent too. 100% recommend. My husband is already craving for more and wants to get a whole chicken to share next time.

La 28 in Upland never disappoints - even for takeout! I ordered the Chaufa de Carne, their Peruvian-style fried rice wok-tossed with juicy beef, egg, and fresh green onions. It was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and comforting - simple but packed with taste. I also grabbed both the Aji Pollero and Aji Verde sauces, which took the meal to the next level - creamy, spicy, and absolutely addictive. Everything traveled well, stayed fresh, and was just as delicious at home as dining in. Highly recommend La 28 for anyone craving authentic, well-made Peruvian food - whether you're dining in or taking it to go!

Do not sleep on La 28. Their rotisserie chicken is perfect. Juicy, just the right seasoning, and the skin gets crispy. The arroz Chaufa (fried rice but better) is also very good. The beef chunks were not dry. They serve huge fries that go great with the Ají Pollero - it's not spicy. If you want spicy get the green ají. If you are in Rancho come hit this place up. You won't be disappointed. Service was great and they play great music.

The best rotisserie chicken I ever had. Hot fresh fall of the bone with delicious seasonings. It with sauces. It's even better. I can't wait to come back.

So glad there is a pollo a la brasa spot in Upland. I ordered the 1/4 chicken with fries and salad. The chicken was super flavorful. Really liked the yellow sauce they provided with the chicken. Next time i'll order a chicha morada to go with my meal!

Got the Loma Saltado. Pretty delicious. The meat was tender. The rice was moist and fresh. The fries were good too. I went day 2 of opening. This place is insanely busy. But the service was nice. This place is where ZPizza used to be. The only thing I would recommend was for this place to put a little more French fries. I would recommend

We need to have a serious talk about the absolute wizardry happening right under your noses. ‍ I almost didn't write this review. I seriously debated gatekeeping this spot because I'm terrified that once you all find out about it, the line will be wrapped around the block and I'll never get a table again. But, my therapist tells me I need to be more "sharing," so here we are. This place is the definition of a Hidden Gem. And the man running the show? Lucho. We need to protect Lucho at all costs. Not only is he the owner, but he is also a culinary artist and arguably the one of the nicest human being in the Inland Empire. I have rolled in with a big party (don't ask, long day), and despite the space being on the smaller, cozy side, Lucho didn't blink. He helped us fit everything in like a game of Tetris. The place is spotless, by the way. You could eat off the floor, but please don't, because the plates are much better. A Warning/Disclaimer: If you are in a rush and need food in 3 minutes, go to a drive-thru. This is not fast food; this is fresh food. Everything is made to order. There are no sad heat lamps here keeping burgers warm since 10 AM. Relax, sit down, and wait. It is worth every single tick of the clock. Let's talk about the food (I'm getting emotional just typing this): The Lomo Saltado (The Star): I have eaten Lomo Saltado all over. But Lucho's? It's a flavorful experience. He cooks the steak to absolute perfection--tender, juicy, no chewing gum texture here. But the magic is in the seasoning and how it hits those fries and onions. It is worth every penny. I would pay double. Don't tell him that. Aeropuerto de Pollo (Chicken Fried Rice): I know, I know. You're thinking, "It's just chicken fried rice." WRONG. Stop it. It sounds crazy to rave about rice, but this dish is savory, smoky, and addictive. I planned to eat a few bites and take the rest home. I failed. I ate it all. The Chow Mein: Traditional? Yes. Boring? Absolutely not. There is a "minor twist" in the flavor profile that I can't quite put my finger on, but it makes the dish absolutely sing. It's out of this world. Mar y Tierra: If you can't decide between surf or turf, get this. It's the best of both worlds and plated beautifully. I love small businesses like this. You aren't just eating ingredients; you are literally tasting the love and hard work Lucho puts into the pan. It's rare, it's special, and it's delicious. Go visit Lucho. Tip him well. And tell him I said hi and to sing you a song.

But it was more than the food; it was the service that made it so memorable. Our family had just arrived in Claremont for the first time; didn't know the area and were starving. Saw Inka Trails on Yelp and thought it looked good but it was about to close in 30 mins so we called to check if we could still make it. The lady who answered the phone was warm and welcoming, telling us to come on by. What followed was some of the most delicious food I've had, on par with Michelin-starred restaurants I have had the pleasured to dine at in Bangkok, San Sebastian, Paris...It was home cooking with the best ingredients - you can taste the freshness of the fish and vegetables and the fragrance of the herbs. Highly recommend the fish rice soup, the fried fish and fish stew in tomato broth. It was serious one of the best meals we have had. So the food was 5 stars, but what made me write this review was the owner Patty. She was warm and gracious. Asked us what brought us to Claremont and when we told her we were there to tour colleges, she was kind to share her insights on the school, experiences with the students, told us about safety and transits in the area. Remember this was all after the restaurant was already scheduled to be closed for the evening. We were never rushed and Patty was sincere and kind. As a frequent traveler and woman in business, I appreciate that. The experience was a highlight of our college visits and I hope to return to Inka Trails for another spectacular meal soon in the near future.

The Empanada was filled with seasoned beef, olives, and hard boiled eggs. The filling was flavorful although the crust was more tender than crisp. It could have used some additional time to attain a decent outer crust. Pollo Saltado consisted of a large portion of tender, boneless chicken, stir fried with French fries and onion and served with steamed rice. It was delicious accompanied by the rice but was very salty from the soy sauce by itself. (This is an extremely common occurrence with this particular dish due to the varying salinity level of different soy sauce brands.) Since the saltado had a good overall flavor, if I were to order this again, I would recommend requesting that the food be made with a little less soy sauce. A dinner roll and butter blend was also served with this meal. The Chicha Morada I ordered as a beverage was delightfully delicious and refreshing from the mix of various fruit juices. The waitstaff were polite and efficient. There were no problems for me as for the service. The restaurant is freeway close to the 10 and there are plenty of parking spaces in the lot.
