Honestly, I will go to another Peruvian or Mexican one near RC. The chicken has no Peruvian rotisserie flavor, just a mild smoky flavor. The fries and salad were decent. Came here for a takeout order. The place is well lit and it was packed. Having tried several Peruvian places and as a Peruvian myself, I can give this place a solid 4.5/5. The chicken is tasty as well as the fries, they taste handmade. The taqueños were also really good. I would give it a 5 but they didn't give me enough sauces for a chicken and a half. I came on Friday (11/28) after being in the area for some Black Friday shopping, and have been craving Peruvian food for a hot minute. This is at the perfect spot of all the other restaurants and shopping. I came in to order, and I wish I got her name for the young lady at the front was awesome. She was so nice, and we started talking about shopping. I ended up paying and sitting down. I ordered the lomo saltado with no tomatoes... I know, I know. It was very, very good. Don't pay attention to the haters leaving absurd comments about this place. Been here 3 times so far and every time it's been awesome. I'm a critic of most Lomo Saltado but this one was fire And the Pollo a la brasa was juicy and flavorful, not bland like most other places. Service was also great. I cannot put into words how delicious this place is! I've only been there two times, and both times I just kept making sounds of delight with every mouthful. My daughter was like, "Oh my gosh, Mom, relax! " It started with the fried plantains. I have had fried plantains from different places and also homemade, but I don't know what it is about the perfect preparation of the plantains at La28, but my mouth is watering just thinking about them. They are warm with a little bit of crisp on the outside and they are perfectly seasoned. The minute I tried their food, I knew it was my duty to tell more people about this little place, so that it can stay in business forever. We have had the roasted chicken, Lomo Saltado, and the Arroz Chaufa. All of which are culinary perfections. I had to tell the cooks that they are magicians. I'm sure I embarrassed my daughter because I told them that they must put some sort of magic in the food because it did something to me that made me feel like every mouthful was worth every dollar and every calorie spent. We just went there yesterday again, but as I write this review, i feel like I need to make another trip there after work today. La28 needs to open more locations because this food needs to be enjoyed by everyone, everywhere. read more

So glad this place opened up close to home. There's not a Peruvian place in the Rancho area that comes close to this one. The lomo Saltado is on point and very flavorful. In my opinion this dish makes or breaks a place. The green salsa they give you is the icing on the cake. I also ordered the chaufa which my wife said was also very flavorful. Finally, to finish things off the right way we had the plantains. Highly recommend this place. Spoke to the owner on the phone and if the employees are anything like this guy , the customer service should be great. I didn't eat in but maybe next time I'll try. read more

We opted the fries and rice, both very well seasoned. We added a large salad that was very crisp and fresh with a fantastic dressing. Get both of the sauces! Each had their own unique flavors with a slight kick but not overwhelming. Lately, it seems like we spend a small fortune on a take out meal. Not the case here. The sides are ample. This place is above and beyond the quality and taste of ANY rotisserie / grilled chicken I have ever had; tender and full of flavor. The green sauce is Bomb with the chicken and fries. I think the price is reasonable and the place was very clean.
