The perfect place for a date night with my love.
Steven M.

This is such a great restaurant in many ways it's a farm to table concept everything was so delicious and flavorfu the ambiance has such a cool feel picture it like your inside a little castle. We had the flat iron steak and the chicken which were both amazing and for dessert we had the butterscotch salted caramel pudding it was the best. The service was great very informative and welcoming high recommend coming if you're wanting some great food with cozy atmosphere.

Beautiful pleasant little spot with even more pleasant rooftop seating that offers fantastic views of Claremont and the mountains north of us. Service from check in to leaving was very nice. Server (young slim gentlemen with longish hair whose name I'm sorry I forgot) was courteous, informative and helpful with taking care of putting our leftovers in a box. Girlfriend and I got espresso martini and their seasonal drink that had lychee and tasted like the most refreshing drink I've ever had in the area. All from his recommendation. I forgot the names of the food we got, but everything from the appetizers to entries were thoroughly delicious and perfectly satiating. Portions were great also. Inside downstairs seating looks very nice also but it's not terribly spacious, if it isn't already apparent to some. Considering everything I said, I think the cost is appropriate and would adamantly recommend anyone in the entire IE to check this place out if they're looking for a beautiful dinner date spot.

Wow! Just wow! This place is a wonderful, delicious evening out that should not be missed. We had a 6:45 reservation this evening and we were seated promptly on the roof. The server greeted us quickly and was friendly and helpful. As this was our first time visiting she went over the menu with us patiently. We had three apps and four mains and we loved everything. The only thing I would change is the chairs. They are a bit flimsy and uncomfortable. But the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff made the visit first class.

We came here for my husband's birthday and sat on the rooftop outside. It was a nice ambiance and they had blankets and heat lamps since it was a bit chilly. Our waiter was so nice and had great recommendations. The butter for the bread is made in house and was so good! We also really enjoyed the orange glaze on the bread pudding.

Uno Tre Otto is a standout spot in Claremont with a fresh, seasonal, farm-to-table menu that really shines in every dish. We started with the Charred Heirloom Carrots, Spicy Polenta, and Vegetable Cruda--each one was flavorful, well-balanced, and beautifully prepared. For mains, the Rigatoni alla Bolognese and Casarecce were both excellent, with perfectly cooked pasta and rich, thoughtful sauces. The atmosphere is cozy with limited seating but worth the wait, and the service was attentive with great recommendations throughout.

My husband and I loved our whole experience at this adorable restaurant. Good music, great drinks, delicious food (everything we tried!) and exceptional service (I think our waiter's name was Jeff. He was the best!) 10/10 recommend.

A very charming and adorable restaurant. The bartender is located on the second floor, and drinks are sent down through a small cabinet to the first floor, where servers retrieve them--very creative. The food is incredibly fresh, sourced from farms within just 2 miles. The service is also excellent--I really appreciate how attentive the staff are, especially how they frequently replace plates with clean ones.

Just came to eat here recently and our experience was so enjoyable :) we were able to get a table a little bit before our reservations and our server McKinley was very helpful and friendly! She helped us navigate around the menu as it was our first time and her recommendations helped me so much. The restaurant looks so nice inside and although isn't a big space did not feel crowded which I appreciate! They also played really catchy music and everyone was chatty and lively :)) For our appetizer we got Amy's mix salad which was fresh and a perfect starter as well as the bread and butter. I would definitely get it again :D My boyfriend got the rigatoni allá bolognese and it was amazing, the meat sauce was very tasty. I got the pollo arrosto and the chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly and paired very well with the greens. We ended the night with the butterscotch Budino recommended by McKinley. She definitely knows her stuff it was so light and fluffy and the rich bourbon Caramel was balanced out with the sweetness of the pudding :)

Tried this place for the second time and overall, the food is pretty good! They're known for their farm-to-table approach, and you can definitely taste the freshness in their dishes. The apps, pasta, filet mignon, and seafood are all delicious and well-prepared. My only critique is that some of the dishes leaned a little too salty for my taste. I did knock off a star because the customer service wasn't as attentive as I would have hoped, and the indoor dining space felt a bit cramped and less comfortable. Still, if you're looking for fresh, flavorful food, this spot is worth trying!

We came here for a double date night and had a really lovely experience. Right when we walked in, I noticed how cozy and classic the atmosphere felt it has that warm, inviting vibe that makes it great for a relaxed dinner. We ordered a few dishes to share: the homemade bread and butter, tagliatelle, beet salad (thankfully without goat cheese), bolognese, bistecca, and the cod. Everything was well prepared and nicely balanced. For dessert we tried the butterscotch budino. I know it's a popular item that many people rave about, but for me it was just okay it leaned a bit on the sweeter side and almost felt like eating whipped cream. Still a fun dessert concept though. Service was great. Our waiter was attentive throughout the evening and made sure we were well taken care of. Parking was surprisingly easy as well we found free street parking nearby with no meter, which made the whole experience even more convenient. Overall, a great spot for a cozy dinner and a nice place for a double date night.

This is an amazing hole in the wall in downtown Claremont. It's farm to table so the food is fresh and the menu changes constantly. It does have limited seating so reservations are a must. Aesthetic & Ambience: 9.5/10 very cool, eclectic & laidback. Bar is above the tables with a cool elevator to bring them down. You see the kitchen and sit right next to it as food comes out. Ambiance is quaint and minimal. Bread & butter: 8.5/10 the bread had a great crust and flavorful butter to complement. Bread w/cream & arugula: 8.5/10 the bread was the same from above, but the cream was light & the arugula/peppers were refreshing and crisp. Rigatoni: 9/10 very traditional sauce with perfectly al dente noodles. Perfect to share with another entree 8oz flank: 8/10 the steak seemed a bit small for 8oz, but it was delicious and cooked perfectly medium rare. Came with a variety of vegetables. Really enjoy coming here for the food and intimate setting.

The pasta was made fresh in-house and the fish was done to perfection. I am usually not a pork-chop girl, but their pork-chops are superb. Service was wonderful too. It's so nice to find a cozy dinning spot like this with authentic Italian food made with the freshest ingredients.

Cassarecce pasta - pesto was kale but tasted more like spinach to me. The lemon tang was perfect. Pasta was al dented and very good.

Everything was great! Has its own parking lot which is nice especially for this area. Gorgeous looking rooftop which would make for a romantic date spot. The inside is a bit tight and intimate. I can imagine you defintely need reservations for this place. The food is so fresh and they didnt fire up our pastas until after we finished the appetizers. See photos for descriptions of each dish. Service was great too. Food came out timely although we thought the bread and butter should have come out before the other starters. The menu constantly changes so you can never tire of it!

I ended up in the corner, which was a perfect spot to enjoy the atmosphere and do a little people watching. They have a great happy hour and daily specials. The guy next to me ordered the Wagyu burger, and it looked incredible. The fries were huge quartered potatoes that looked just as good. He said everything was amazing. My server, Clint, recommended the Fidelity red blend. I'm usually a Pinot Noir drinker, but this was a great choice and paired really well with my filet and lobster tail. The steak was cooked perfectly, the lobster was excellent, and even the drawn butter was served at the right temperature. I finished with the peach tart for dessert, and it was delicious. I also met Anthony, one of the owner's sons, who was making his way around the restaurant checking on guests. Both he and Clint were friendly and attentive all evening. Great food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, my daughter's $47 entrée contained a metal wire bristle from a grill/cleaning brush. Thankfully, she noticed it before swallowing it, but this could have resulted in a very serious injury. To the restaurant's credit, the manager came over promptly, apologized sincerely, and handled the situation professionally. We appreciated that acknowledgment. We also chose not to make a scene or demand anything because we understand that mistakes can happen. What disappointed us was how the situation was ultimately handled. When our bill arrived, my daughter's entrée was actually charged twice. We had to point out the duplicate charge to our waiter. When he returned with the corrected bill, one of the duplicate charges had been removed, but the remaining $47 entrée--the one that contained the metal wire--was still on the bill. We were then told that my daughter's dessert had been made complimentary. While we appreciated the gesture of the complimentary dessert, it seemed to fall well short of what would have been appropriate given the circumstances. A dessert does not compare to paying for a $47 entrée that contained a dangerous foreign object. This review isn't meant to criticize the quality of the food, it was outstanding. It's about the response to a significant food safety issue. I believe most guests would expect that a meal containing a metal wire bristle would be removed from the bill without question. Instead, we left feeling disappointed that the resolution did not reflect the seriousness of what had occurred. I sincerely hope this was an isolated incident and that the restaurant reviews its food preparation and grill cleaning procedures to ensure this doesn't happen to another guest.

They've got indoor and outdoor seating and they seemed a touch understaffed for being a beautiful day. It was also a Tuesday lunchtime so maybe they weren't expecting it to be as busy as it was. We were able to prove the menu before we got seated. And our super friendly server came out and we were able to order right away. They've got a lunch special. That is a small personal pizza with a salad and we each got that. Salads came out first and I had the arugula salad, which was absolutely phenomenal. 10 of 10 would eat this every single day. The arugula was peppery and it was well dressed in a lemon vinaigrette type sauce. I am a fan of just plain lemon on mine, but this was delicious. My husband got a union salad, which is their specialty I guess. It's got colored carrots and some beets and some shallots. I thought the dressing was bland and it certainly needed salt and pepper. We asked for both and didn't get either. Our pieces came out and they were nice and woodfired. I feel like they could've been done just a little bit longer maybe a minute or two. The sauce was a lovely fresh type crushed tomato sauce. The cheese was nice and gooey and did not feel or taste like a package of processed cheese. Pepperonis were greasy, but in a real meat kind of way. I had to dab mine, but my husband just went to town on his. The pickled peppers is a pickled jalapeño. Big chunks of them. They certainly didn't skimp on any of the toppings. They were a little sweet and a little hot. Some of the big chunks were a little too sweet for my liking but overall, it was a nice flavor mix Also from a size standpoint, I thought the salad and pizza were very adequate for lunch at around $20 price point I asked for salt and pepper again as well as a side of ranch. This time we did get the salt and pepper as well as cheese and crushed red pepper. But we didn't get the ranch until we were leaving. The server did apologize and said he thought someone else was bringing it out but I pretty much deducted a star because we asked for a couple different things that never came.
