Beautiful pleasant little spot with even more pleasant rooftop seating that offers fantastic views of Claremont and the mountains north of us. Service from check in to leaving was very nice. Server (young slim gentlemen with longish hair whose name I'm sorry I forgot) was courteous, informative and helpful with taking care of putting our leftovers in a box. Girlfriend and I got espresso martini and their seasonal drink that had lychee and tasted like the most refreshing drink I've ever had in the area. All from his recommendation. I forgot the names of the food we got, but everything from the appetizers to entries were thoroughly delicious and perfectly satiating. Portions were great also. Inside downstairs seating looks very nice also but it's not terribly spacious, if it isn't already apparent to some. Considering everything I said, I think the cost is appropriate and would adamantly recommend anyone in the entire IE to check this place out if they're looking for a beautiful dinner date spot.

The pasta was made fresh in-house and the fish was done to perfection. I am usually not a pork-chop girl, but their pork-chops are superb. Service was wonderful too. It's so nice to find a cozy dinning spot like this with authentic Italian food made with the freshest ingredients.

Just came to eat here recently and our experience was so enjoyable :) we were able to get a table a little bit before our reservations and our server McKinley was very helpful and friendly! She helped us navigate around the menu as it was our first time and her recommendations helped me so much. The restaurant looks so nice inside and although isn't a big space did not feel crowded which I appreciate! They also played really catchy music and everyone was chatty and lively :)) For our appetizer we got Amy's mix salad which was fresh and a perfect starter as well as the bread and butter. I would definitely get it again :D My boyfriend got the rigatoni allá bolognese and it was amazing, the meat sauce was very tasty. I got the pollo arrosto and the chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly and paired very well with the greens. We ended the night with the butterscotch Budino recommended by McKinley. She definitely knows her stuff it was so light and fluffy and the rich bourbon Caramel was balanced out with the sweetness of the pudding :)

We came here for a double date night and had a really lovely experience. Right when we walked in, I noticed how cozy and classic the atmosphere felt it has that warm, inviting vibe that makes it great for a relaxed dinner. We ordered a few dishes to share: the homemade bread and butter, tagliatelle, beet salad (thankfully without goat cheese), bolognese, bistecca, and the cod. Everything was well prepared and nicely balanced. For dessert we tried the butterscotch budino. I know it's a popular item that many people rave about, but for me it was just okay it leaned a bit on the sweeter side and almost felt like eating whipped cream. Still a fun dessert concept though. Service was great. Our waiter was attentive throughout the evening and made sure we were well taken care of. Parking was surprisingly easy as well we found free street parking nearby with no meter, which made the whole experience even more convenient. Overall, a great spot for a cozy dinner and a nice place for a double date night.

Tried this place for the second time and overall, the food is pretty good! They're known for their farm-to-table approach, and you can definitely taste the freshness in their dishes. The apps, pasta, filet mignon, and seafood are all delicious and well-prepared. My only critique is that some of the dishes leaned a little too salty for my taste. I did knock off a star because the customer service wasn't as attentive as I would have hoped, and the indoor dining space felt a bit cramped and less comfortable. Still, if you're looking for fresh, flavorful food, this spot is worth trying!

Cassarecce pasta - pesto was kale but tasted more like spinach to me. The lemon tang was perfect. Pasta was al dented and very good.

Everything was great! Has its own parking lot which is nice especially for this area. Gorgeous looking rooftop which would make for a romantic date spot. The inside is a bit tight and intimate. I can imagine you defintely need reservations for this place. The food is so fresh and they didnt fire up our pastas until after we finished the appetizers. See photos for descriptions of each dish. Service was great too. Food came out timely although we thought the bread and butter should have come out before the other starters. The menu constantly changes so you can never tire of it!

This is an amazing hole in the wall in downtown Claremont. It's farm to table so the food is fresh and the menu changes constantly. It does have limited seating so reservations are a must. Aesthetic & Ambience: 9.5/10 very cool, eclectic & laidback. Bar is above the tables with a cool elevator to bring them down. You see the kitchen and sit right next to it as food comes out. Ambiance is quaint and minimal. Bread & butter: 8.5/10 the bread had a great crust and flavorful butter to complement. Bread w/cream & arugula: 8.5/10 the bread was the same from above, but the cream was light & the arugula/peppers were refreshing and crisp. Rigatoni: 9/10 very traditional sauce with perfectly al dente noodles. Perfect to share with another entree 8oz flank: 8/10 the steak seemed a bit small for 8oz, but it was delicious and cooked perfectly medium rare. Came with a variety of vegetables. Really enjoy coming here for the food and intimate setting.

The food is authentic, organic and straight from the farm. I tried some of the dishes, it's out of the world.. such great taste , they must have a good chef in the kitchen. It's a very special restaurant. The Casarecce is the pasta with hazelnut pesto sauce and burrata cheese- you must try it .. Thank you Jackie ! You are the best!

Honestly, this place exceeded my expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were treated really well and felt welcome. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and you can tell it's made with care not rushed or thrown together. Everything came out hot and exactly how we ordered it. The family was stunned!!

My boyfriend took me here to celebrate my birthday. :) He made reservations for 8:30 PM for the rooftop seating. We arrived about 15 minutes early, but were seated around 8:40 PM. Not too bad of a wait considering we came early. The ambiance was phenomenal. While there a crazy spectacular view, the vibes were there. Low lighting and relaxing vibes. The tables were pretty close together, but it didn't seem crowded at all. I read in a review that the chairs weren't comfortable, but my boyfriend and I didn't feel like that was an issue. I got a Negroni as my go to drink- made to perfection. The ratios were perfect and the slice of orange peel really amplified the taste. For our appetizers/ entrees, we ordered the freshly baked bread and butter, pappardelle al granchio and cioppino. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients. Compliments to the chef because we can taste the heart and soul he pours into his dishes. My Pappardelle was cooked al dente and there were huge portions of wild caught blue crab in the mix. Each bite was SO DELICIOUS. While the portions weren't mega huge, we left feeling full and not bloated. My boyfriend will tell you that he's crazy about their cultured butter and maldon sea salt! I was a huge fan as well. :) To end the night, we opted for their night cap for dessert. The night cap included three homemade sourdough chocolate cookies with a glass of bartenders pick of amaro. Our waitress was kind to add a candle into the cookies to make the night a little extra special. The dessert was the perfect ending to an awesome birthday dinner. Would highly recommend trying them if you're in the neighborhood!

This place was super cute! We absolutely loved the rooftop, the lights made it feel so romantic and cozy. The atmosphere alone is worth the visit. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was amazing from start to finish. Everything was perfect. Definitely a 10/10. we'll be back!

Working in the restaurant industry , I myself am not a yelper . But I'm here writing a review because I was that amazed by mine and my friends experience here . This place is truly a warm and special establishment . Although we did not partake in cocktails and had wine they have an excellent well thought out beverage program (including some riffs on classics ). The ambiance and tone both in the main restaurant &rooftop is inviting ,warm, and romantic . The food....10/10. Being someone that likes to dine , I was blown away by both chefs presentation of plates , and well balanced flavor profiles in these dishes . Would very highly recommend this very special place .

We sat outside and the ambiance (both inside and outside) were nice. The outside was definitely a lot quieter than inside, and the server next to us even offered to turn on the heaters (though not needed). I enjoyed being outside. We started off with appetizers which included grilled octopus and oysters. Although, even though they were on ice, the oysters weren't cold enough for me. Still, we downed them with the fresh horseradish and cocktail sauce and just prayed about it later lol. My family liked the grill octopus. It was tender and had a very smokey char flavor but if I'm being honest, it was not MY favorite so I probably would not personally order again. Even my mom said she thought it was "just alright." I ordered the Branzino and it lacked in flavor. I was not a fan of the green sauce it had on the side. It was not completely terrible, but not great either. It was cooked well and crispy, but that's all I can say for it as even Tabasco didn't make it great. The best thing of the night was probably the lamb chops and the cheese ravioli. They were both cooked well & tasted great so if I were to come back Id stick to pasta and that. The lychee mocktails & their ricotta cheesecake were probably my favorite things on the menu. The tart was decent. Our waiter was slow at times and kept either forgetting certain drinks or what we asked of him or the kitchen was just slower than usual. I'm not sure which, but service wasn't on par with the price point in my opinion. Luckily we were pretty relaxed, but my mom had finished her food by the time her wine arrived. Overall, it was an ok night. My family at least had fun and enjoyed their time there. The food was presented nicely, and service was OK as a whole but I'm not sure I'd come back on my own accord again. Definitely nice to say I've visited & tried it out at least once though!

The cream of mushroom (an upgrade, but absolutely worth it) was luxuriously smooth and intensely aromatic -- it truly tasted like freshly blended mushrooms rather than a generic cream base. Rich, velvety, and deeply savory. The pizza had a beautifully crisp crust with that satisfying crunch along the edges, yet still tender inside. The pasta was perfectly al dente with excellent bite. The white sauce was creamy and full-bodied without being runny, coating each strand evenly. The red sauce struck a lovely balance between acidity and sweetness -- bright but not sharp. The stuffed mushrooms were especially juicy and flavorful, releasing a savory broth with every bite. Tiramisu leaned slightly heavier on the liqueur, which I personally enjoyed -- bold, fragrant, and not overly sweet. Portions were very generous; the three of us couldn't finish everything and ended up packing two lunch-sized portions to go. Service was attentive and efficient without being intrusive. The dining room felt comfortable and relaxed -- classic Italian trattoria energy, warm and inviting. A meal that felt thoughtfully executed from start to finish. Already looking forward to coming back.

It's delicious, I always order a Chicago style pizza when I go there for an appetizer. It's huge and delicious. Let me tell you, it's so flavorful and loaded with toppings. When I took my first bite of it, it was like the first time a kissed a girl.....amazing and forever stamped into my memory. The stuffed shells are so good too. They are cheesy and it's a huge portion. Not like the ones I eat at the beach, hard and salty. The chicken Parmesan is insane here. So much flavor and you get spaghetti with it. I can never finish it when I get it. Also, the bread they bring out to tables is so toasty and delicious. The waiter also came by and showed me their wine list. He asked me if I wanted some. Of course I ordered their finest Mr. Pibb on tap. The waiter served it to me and introduced it as their finest Pibb xtra with ice. Ooh it's the Pibb I've had at a restaurant. They've got indoor and outdoor seating and they seemed a touch understaffed for being a beautiful day. It was also a Tuesday lunchtime so maybe they weren't expecting it to be as busy as it was. We were able to prove the menu before we got seated. And our super friendly server came out and we were able to order right away. They've got a lunch special. That is a small personal pizza with a salad and we each got that. Salads came out first and I had the arugula salad, which was absolutely phenomenal. 10 of 10 would eat this every single day. The arugula was peppery and it was well dressed in a lemon vinaigrette type sauce. I am a fan of just plain lemon on mine, but this was delicious. My husband got a union salad, which is their specialty I guess. It's got colored carrots and some beets and some shallots. I thought the dressing was bland and it certainly needed salt and pepper. We asked for both and didn't get either. Our pieces came out and they were nice and woodfired. I feel like they could've been done just a little bit longer maybe a minute or two. The sauce was a lovely fresh type crushed tomato sauce. The cheese was nice and gooey and did not feel or taste like a package of processed cheese. Pepperonis were greasy, but in a real meat kind of way. I had to dab mine, but my husband just went to town on his. The pickled peppers is a pickled jalapeño. Big chunks of them. They certainly didn't skimp on any of the toppings. They were a little sweet and a little hot. Some of the big chunks were a little too sweet for my liking but overall, it was a nice flavor mix Also from a size standpoint, I thought the salad and pizza were very adequate for lunch at around $20 price point I asked for salt and pepper again as well as a side of ranch. This time we did get the salt and pepper as well as cheese and crushed red pepper. But we didn't get the ranch until we were leaving. The server did apologize and said he thought someone else was bringing it out but I pretty much deducted a star because we asked for a couple different things that never came. Overall, the service was super friendly, the ambience was nice for an outdoor lunch thought.
