The taste was amazing and the portion was perfect. I was really happy with my dish. There are no prices listed for the wine, and I ordered the Austin Hope, which was smooth and went great with my dinner. That was a $110 bottle, FYI I learned that when I got the check lol. But honestly, it was very good! I also had the tiramisu, which unfortunately had way too much cocoa powder on it. It was drenched in it. That was a little disappointing because I was really looking forward to the tiramisu. The atmosphere was also louder than I expected. I thought it was going to be more of a quiet, chill vibe, but it's definitely more vibrant and loud. It's a great location and I would go back. Just a few cons that I noticed. Was craving Italian food and picked this place on a whim. It is located in downtown Upland so parking can be challenging, depending on the time and day. I went for dinner on Wednesday so the restaurant wasn't packed. As soon as you walk in you get git with that Italian restaurant smell (idk how else to describe it) so I was hopeful that it would be good. The restaurant is dimly lit so it creates an intimate atmosphere. Very cozy. Our server was friendly and helped me choose between two dishes I wanted. We started with bread service which includes a few different styles of bread along with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. For my entree I went with the clam linguine. It comes with chopped clams, garlic in a white wine sauce and also has a few whole clams in shell. It was so good. It was very "seafoody" which was just what I was craving. So we usually love this place and enjoy the food and service - we went in this past Saturday night and frankly was disappointed in both - had a reservation at 6:00pm and location was not too busy - our server was nice but didn't know the drink menu as well as she should have, didn't even know how to pronounce their vodka's- my wife and I split a carbonara which is usually great- we did get charged an extra $5 to split it - dish was a little bland and lacked the awesome flavor we like - might have just caught them on a bad night but Saturday night at prime time is not when you should- overall is a solid location but hope it's not a trend read more

The ambiance made me feel like I was in Italy with my best friends. Had such a delightful meal with my girls at Allegro. We shared several plates of food, they give large portions. The chicken Marsala was too sweet for me in my opinion, but I know it's a tasty meal. The mushroom ravioli was fantastic and their appetizers were great, especially the stuffed artichoke. Now the drink I had was a pear flower, oh my gosh one of the best cocktails I've ever had. I highly recommend. Our server, Donielle, was amazing! so friendly and you can tell she really loves working there. She even wore little martini earrings just for half-off cocktails Thursday ... such a fun touch! She recommended the Chicken Picatta, and wow... one of the best I've ever had. We paid the extra $5 to split the dish for two, and the portion was huge. The interior decor was average and lacked a memorable atmosphere for an Italian restaurant. We started with the salad, which tasted bland and uninspiring. The seafood pasta was especially disappointing -- the clams and mussels had a strong unpleasant smell, and we could not even finish the dish. The carpaccio was also below average, as the meat was not soft and delicate like good-quality carpaccio should be. Garlic cheese bread we ordered because they ran out of the bread basket, but not too bad... The service however was very slow. The waitress took forever on everything. And she didn't even come back for the 2nd half of our meal, we had to ask another waitress where she went off, and I guess it was her break we were like thanks for letting us know. First off have to say Jenna is a legend of a server. She is kind, witty, and attentive. The restaurant overall has a classy vibe. You can show up in shorts and a t-shirt no harm no foul. However you can go fancy too. They have a lovely bar. Tonight I tried the meatballs. I am picky about my meatballs. Please do not take this wrong. They were not amazing. I love meatballs that have a good sear going all around before being baked in sauce. The texture of them felt undercooked even though they were completely cooked through. The chicken piccata yum!!! Perfect sauce best I have ever had. The amount of food you get for the price is wonderful. They have a new cake desert that is very light and airy perfect for summer. Has mango gelatin on top with light vanilla mousse with a very thin airy cake and creamy strawberry base it's delightful. Thank you Jenna for an incredible service night. We went here for a birthday celebration over the weekend. I'll start with the ambiance, it was dimly lit, cozy, and had a nice vibe inside. Our server was attentive and friendly. The food was unfortunately, just okay. The shareable bread didn't even come with butter and was NOT worth the $10 for it. If you're coming here for a birthday, keep in mind they will charge you for a dessert. I wish I would have known this beforehand, we would have done something else for dessert. It's worth noting that at the time we went (January 2026) the restaurant had a B rating. When inquiring about this rating, our server didn't even know the reasoning behind the B rating. I took my daughter and granddaughters here for dinner, and unfortunately, it was disappointing from start to finish. When our server came over, she seemed very distracted and barely paid attention to us. While we were ordering drinks, she actually snapped at my granddaughter, who was just trying to find the beverage list. Strike one. Next, we ordered the bread "service," which turned out to be a few chunks of bread so hard they could've been hockey pucks, with oil and vinegar to mix yourself. We were ready to order our meals right away, but she insisted on putting in the appetizer order first and just walked away. Fine. When she came back, we ordered dinner. My granddaughter's "pasta explosion" was so spicy she couldn't eat it. The filets we ordered were so covered in peppercorn that they were unpleasant. Another granddaughter's tortellini was drowning in sauce -- it looked more like soup than pasta. Even my youngest granddaughter, who loves spaghetti, refused to eat hers, saying it was "gross." We just ate what little we could and called it a loss. Strike two. When we left, we stopped at a store nearby -- that's when I realized the server never returned my credit card. I went back, and a young man with a ponytail told me they didn't have it -- but he didn't even bother to look. I could see my server searching through the stacked receipt books for my card at that moment, but she never came out to speak to me. The man with the ponytail got defensive, saying, "No one took your credit card." I explained that I never said anyone took it -- just that the server didn't give it back. Strike three. Needless to say, I won't be returning. I'd strongly recommend trying The Captain's Grill across the way instead -- much better food and far better service. LOCATION: At the heart of downtown Upland, Allegro is the center and there are parking spots in downtown but may be harder to find on busier days. We didn't have a hard time finding parking, it's pretty spacious. SERVICE: We called in to make a reservation and it was pretty simple and had no wait when we got there. It seemed pretty busy that night as well so I would recommend making a reservation if you can. Service was great! We had Sam and she was very accommodating and checked on us frequently. Everything was fairly timely, not too fast or too slow. Weekend service may be a little more busier. The ambience inside is great and has a Spanish lowly dimmed setting. FOOD: the portions were a lot bigger than I thought! I got the chicken parm and it was generous! I usually eat my plate and my wife's leftovers but it filled it me up. The first one was a little burnt and they were accommodating in making a new one. The surprise was the bacon wrapped figs! They were delicious! Take advantage of their happy hour with discounted appetizers and their weekly specials. I got a glass of wine for $7 as the Wednesday special. The ahi was great and the crème brûlée did not disappoint as the finishing touch. If you are in Upland or surroundings areas and looking for a great ambiance restaurant with generous food, highly recommend giving Allegro a try once! read more

We waited over 30 minutes for two very basic dishes: lasagna and fettuccine alfredo, along with an order of garlic bread. We assumed the garlic bread would arrive with the entrées, but instead it came out much earlier and sat on the table getting cold while we continued waiting for our food. After the long wait, the entrées finally arrived. The fettuccine alfredo was lukewarm, bland, and completely tasteless. I genuinely don't understand how this dish justifies the price they charge. It was extremely disappointing and overpriced for the quality. We did mention this to our waitress, and instead of comping the dish, she asked if there was something else we would like to replace the fettuccine alfredo with. At that point, after waiting so long already, we just wanted to leave. The dish was not comped, which made the situation even more frustrating. The lasagna was nothing memorable either. Overall, between the long wait time, poorly timed service, bland food, and lack of proper customer service, this was a very disappointing experience. This restaurant is in a very cute area with lots of shops and places to eat! We got here around 5:20 and sat around 5:55. One thing I was a little surprised at was that you paid for bread instead of getting it for free. Small fee but still not used to that. The pasta was great! Super flavorful and came out relatively fast. I wouldn't say the quickest service I ever had felt like there was a lot of down time. Waiting for refills, check and to order took a bit long. It was packed but still wanted to mention it. My sister ordered the bolognese with meatballs and when she went to eat it there was a stick at the bottom of the meatballs. I don't know if it was meant to be there but it was hidden so could have been dangerous if she didn't notice it. She told the waitress who kinda just laughed it off and said she would let the cooks know but nothing really was mentioned again about it. All in all a cute place with good food but if it's a busy night just expect to wait a little bit, which to me isn't a huge deal read more

Ordered the meatballs, bacon wrapped dates (with blue cheese) and Caprese Salad and they were all fantastic. The meatballs were magnificently delicious if not perfect. No, they were perfect, exactly what you hope for from a nice restaurant but a lot don't deliver the quality and taste that these do. The dates were like candy with a ton of flavor. Very disappointing experience at Allegro. My girlfriend and I came in for dinner after having two beers across the street. The very young bar staff refused to serve her and kept saying they needed to "assess" her, even though she was clearly not drunk. It felt judgmental and embarrassing for no reason. You would think a bar would want to serve customers and make money, but instead the bartender turned away business. The owner is losing money with staff acting like this. To make it worse, the food took forever to come out and the service overall was poor. Definitely not the experience we expected. read more
