This place is a hidden gem! I love trying out new places for my birthday so we decided to try this place for breakfast and it was a great choice! Food was delicious! And the staff was friendly and always there to ask if we needed anything. Chilaquiles was on point! Getting half red and half green gave me the opportunity to try out both sauces and they were both so good! I love it when there's a slight kick but not too much to over power the entree. Some places make it way too spicy, but this place had it perfect!! The chips were still crunchy even with all the flavorful sauce they added. It was the best chilaquiles I've ever had! The huevos rancheros was really good too and had so much flavor. Definitely will be coming back again soon! Not in the best location as the shopping center is a bit run down and it looks a bit sketchy, so just be careful with parking and being aware of your surroundings.

Not much of a long wait, but I totally understand. People sure love this place. Really tasty food. My chile relleno burrito was so delicious and the salsas were flavorful. I'd definitely come back!

My sister had tried this place and told us rave reviews about the food. So we had to try it. I dunno if it was an off day or not but service was not great. We came on a Sunday after around 1... we tried giving the benefit of the doubt that they are busy and it is a small place. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated and at least the host was nice enough to update us about our table. When our table was finally ready and We were seated it took about 10 minutes for someone to actually come and greet us and take our order. We were greeted and then we were told she would come back but it took another 10 minutes before she came back and took our order. We were a party of 3 and all asked for water and cafe de olla. We ordered 2 chorizo bowls, a side of churro pancakes and a dirty burrito with Birria. Another 10 minutes later we had no water and no cafe de olla. My husband had to get up and physically ask for our drinks. We got the cafe de olla but never got our waters. I totally understand that it is a mom and pop place and it was busy but nobody checked on us until our food arrived. The two chorizo bowls arrived first and then another 10 minutes passed and finally my burrito came. They forgot our churro pancakes and we had to again ask for it and then that took another 10 minutes and by then we were getting full and almost done with our food . No one checked on us until we were the last few tables left in the restaurant and we asked for the check. And she still had the nerve to cleans up 3 other tables before giving us the check. The food was good. The tortillas tasted fresh and handmade. The chorizo bowl was filling and the Birria inside the dirty burrito was soft and flavorful but just by the experience we had I would not go back.

Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday on a Friday morning, and there was no wait. The space is small with limited indoor seating and no outdoor seating. Everything on the menu looked so good--it was honestly hard to decide. I ended up getting the chilaquiles with steak, with half green and half red sauce. It wasn't spicy at all (which I loved), but the flavor was amazing. They also bring salsas to the table, so you can add heat if you want. My husband got the chilaquiles with green sauce and really enjoyed them, but said next time he'd go for the half red and half green like mine. My mom ordered the chile relleno burrito--she said it tasted good, but it wasn't what she expected since the chile relleno seemed to be diced and mixed inside rather than whole. For drinks, I ordered the dirty horchata. If you enjoy a strong coffee flavor, I'd definitely recommend it--it had a great balance and wasn't overly sweet. My husband got a regular horchata as well. I had plenty of leftovers and even enjoyed them for breakfast the next day. Overall, everything was delicious. I would definitely come back and recommend this spot to others. Can't believe I've passed by it so many times--this might be my new go-to breakfast place!

    Chilaquiles "divorciados" with skirt steak
    Omar F.

Great service. This restaurant is full of personality. The chilaquiles were ok. Ok flavor. What through me off was the added fee to make them half green and half red "divorciados" , why? I added a side or skirt steak for $9 extra. The portion of that skirt steak fit inside the palm of my hand. Not worth the cost. My favorite thing and reasonably price item was the café de olla. Great cup of coffee.

1/28/26 Sadly, they're sold out of the elote flan (reason we visited), awaiting delivery of local baker. But READ ON. This place would've been walking distance from our previous house. It's located in a non descript corner with other shops, you could easily miss it since it's not in a main road. Parking is free & ample. I found it on Yelp when looking for local brunch spots as my usual faves are closed by 2 pm. At 3 pm, only a couple of customers were dining. Hubby & I went in & sat as our server, Tiffany greeted us. She seems sweet & welcoming. The shop is fairly small which can accommodate about 40 people. Immediately, my eyes gravitated to the tres leches maiz waffle & it may be combined with eggs, potatoes & turkey sausage or bacon to make a meal. Hubby, of course, ordered his chorizo bowl. When I inquired about the maiz flan (read on Yelp reviews), Tiffany apologized that they're sold out, awaiting delivery from local baker. The food arrived in no time & my waffles smelled divinely captivating. These tasted so good, I like the somewhat coarse texture because of the corn. I tasted Hubby's chorizo bowl & it was really good, he loved it!! As we were savoring our delicious meals, I glanced at one lady carrying large foil trays into the restaurant & my heart skipped a beat.... Could it be the... oh yes it was!!! Our server greeted her & told her, "Oh good, they're waiting for the maiz flan, it's the reason they came". Happy joy joy. All is right with the world. Hubby selected the banana cream flan flavor-- DO NOT MISSS OUT. It is phenomenal. Now I wish I had known about this place when we lived in Montclair. It requires a special trip

4/3/26 SeD Cocina Montclair, CA... I met up with 3 good friends here today on Good Friday! Didn't know this place was so close to home. I ordered a chili relleno wet burrito with green salsa on top. It was really good! I also had a try of my friend's Très Leches Maiz Waffles. So yummy! Nice little place. Allison was a nice server. This place filled up quickly. Come check this place out!

Delicious! Husband and I went on a quick breakfast date before an appointment. Cute little spot we found on yelp. Stopped in and there was a sign on the window that said "best chilaquiles in the IE". Of course I had to order those. Choice of red or green. I went divorciados which is half and half. Delish! Homemade flavors. 10/10. My husband ordered the breakfast with the tres leches maiz waffle. I am usually good with just a taste of sweet stuff but I went home and craved this! Not overly sweet. Definitely between a waffle and cornbread. So good! Definitely be back when we are in the area. Service was also on point!

Everything here at this place was amazing! The service, generous and attentive. They are so genuine and authentic here. The food, Delicious and tasty. The portions are very filling. It is a smaller space, they tend to bring in a lot of customers and I can tell why! If you're looking to a good spot to try, come here. 10/10

It was our first time eating at SeD Cocina and it was delicious! My daughter treated me to breakfast and we decided to try a new place. We were not disappointed. We were greeted right away as we entered. Our server was kind, attentive and made great recommendations. I had the chilaquiles in green salsa. My daughter had the chorizo burrito bowl. Both tasted great! We also had their cafe de olla, but instead of hot, we tried it iced. Also yummy Overall, our experience was great from the food to the hospitality and the price. We will definitely be returning. There are so many other things on the menu that I would like to try!

beware that if you put your name down with the host, DO NOT GO TO YOUR CAR. I made the mistake in waiting in my car because the host stated it would be 45 min until me and my mom sat down. They don't take your phone number down, they just call your name out. The called me earlier than the 45 minutes and I was crossed out from the list. Everyone after me got a table and I had to be put down on the list again. That was my fault and my first time here. Overall, the food and drinks came out pretty fast! Everything we ordered was so fresh and delicious! We ordered the dirty horchata with chilaquiles and the tres leches waffle trio.

    Carnitas and beef birria

Have wanted to try SeD for a long time...today was the day. Very cozy restaurant. We ordered chilaquiles with meat...o e carnitas and one beef birria. The presentation was very nice. The portion was generous. All the flavors were great! The owners are lovely and very personable. So glad we finally went....will be back to try other items on the menu!

A most near second is the braised short rib, served with a delectable and cloud-soft heap of mashed potatoes. Of lesser note were the wagyu tacos, pigs in a blanket, and the maple pecan butter cake, which proved but ordinary in their savor. Why gave I it four? - Forsooth, the service remaineth most excellent, the choices ample, and the fare overall commendable. Know thou, many of the draughts afore-mentioned were priced for happy hour as a small note. Of those dishes deemed but middling, the wagyu tacos and pigs in a blanket lacked that wondrous spark upon the tongue. Lastly, the dry-aged ribeye, though served with seasoning apart, did taste somewhat over-salted to mine palate. Yet, these faults did not greatly diminish mine experience for I retain my favored dishes and shall return anon. Verdict? - Shouldst thou find thyself near Claremont, prithee give it a try, for it is a place most grand.

We went here for mother's day. It was my first time here. It is definitely a pricier establishment…read moreso I was looking forward to finally trying it out. We sat outside and the ambiance (both inside and outside) were nice. The outside was definitely a lot quieter than inside, and the server next to us even offered to turn on the heaters (though not needed). I enjoyed being outside. We started off with appetizers which included grilled octopus and oysters. Although, even though they were on ice, the oysters weren't cold enough for me. Still, we downed them with the fresh horseradish and cocktail sauce and just prayed about it later lol. My family liked the grill octopus. It was tender and had a very smokey char flavor but if I'm being honest, it was not MY favorite so I probably would not personally order again. Even my mom said she thought it was "just alright." I ordered the Branzino and it lacked in flavor. I was not a fan of the green sauce it had on the side. It was not completely terrible, but not great either. It was cooked well and crispy, but that's all I can say for it as even Tabasco didn't make it great. The best thing of the night was probably the lamb chops and the cheese ravioli. They were both cooked well & tasted great so if I were to come back Id stick to pasta and that. The lychee mocktails & their ricotta cheesecake were probably my favorite things on the menu. The tart was decent. Our waiter was slow at times and kept either forgetting certain drinks or what we asked of him or the kitchen was just slower than usual. I'm not sure which, but service wasn't on par with the price point in my opinion. Luckily we were pretty relaxed, but my mom had finished her food by the time her wine arrived. Overall, it was an ok night. My family at least had fun and enjoyed their time there. The food was presented nicely, and service was OK as a whole but I'm not sure I'd come back on my own accord again. Definitely nice to say I've visited & tried it out at least once though!

Unfortunately, there were a few disappointments during dinner. We ordered the crab cakes and were told they were unavailable. We then ordered lamb chops, which were also unavailable. Thankfully, the food we did receive was amazing and we were still enjoying our evening while waiting for birthday dessert. What completely changed the experience was when the manager, Destiny, approached our table and told us we needed to move to accommodate another party. We explained that we also had a reservation, were still eating, and were waiting on dessert. Instead of handling the situation professionally, her approach came off with an attitude and as though we were an inconvenience for not wanting to move in the middle of our meal. As a manager, professionalism and customer service matter, especially when guests are celebrating special occasions. Better reservation management could have prevented this situation entirely. Even other guests nearby seemed shocked by what was happening. Roger ended up apologizing on her behalf, even though he was not the issue. He truly did his best to save the experience, while the manager never came back to apologize herself. The food and our waiter were excellent, but the management experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
