    Sides- Spinach & Potatoes

We came here to celebrate my husband for his birthday. I made a reservation in advance for us and were seated right away. We also used Valet for parking since the Astros game was going on that night and parking was crazy. As soon as we sat down we were greeted by our server Sonya who was beyond amazing!! She was very patient, informative and showed us great hospitality!! The sommelier was great as well and we ordered a bottle of wine. We ordered the pear & blue cheese salad to start off with and the shrimp cocktail. For our main course I had the red snapper and my husband had the steak with potatoes and spinach. It was all so yummy!! The ambience was very chill and relaxing. After all the yummy food we had cream brûlée and it was delicious as well! Overall we had a great time and will definitely be bringing some friends with us next time! Thank you again Sonya for the amazing service!!

My aunt invited me to a CE dinner hosted by the Vietnamese American nurses association at Vic and Anthony's in downtown Houston. They had a prix fixe menu in their private room upstairs for us. I chose the lobster bisque as my appetizer, steakhouse salad as my salad, an 8 oz filet ignore my entree, and a cheesecake to go as my dessert. The lobster bisque was very decadent and rich, maybe even a little too much for me. There were not that many lobster pieces in there. It could've used some more spice to it for me personally. I really liked the steakhouse salad. It came with cucumbers, tomatoes, croutons, and a vinaigrette. It was very refreshing and tasty. I got the 8 oz filet mignon snd it was probably cooked to a medium. They didn't ask us how we wanted our steak but I would've preferred medium rare and for the steak to be a bit more tender. The guy next to me got the Atlantic salmon with jumbo lump crab meat and grape tomatoes with beurre blanc sauce. It looked so good that I wish I had gotten that instead. They also served roasted fingerling potatoes and steamed broccolini as our sides. Both were solid, I had no complaints about them. I took the cheesecake home to go but I don't recall actually eating it

We came to celebrate a friend's birthday and probably ate WAY too much. We sat in the corner, which we liked. The vibes are quiet and fancy for sure. I forget our server's name, but he was great and personable. We tried a variety of things as a table. Oysters, Crab Cake, Bone Marrow, Crab Cakes, Cesar Salad, Bone-In Ribeye and the fish (I forget what it was, pic attached). We got a variety of sides like mash potatoes, fries, mac and cheese... honestly for 6 people we were overeating LOL. Bone-In-Ribeye was really fatty/oily, but pretty good. I really enjoyed the fish and would get it again. Obviously, pricing is high, but I think it is worth it. Definitely check it out for a special occasions!

Went here for a late dinner. Sat in the bar for a little bit and ordered a drink while waiting for our table to be ready. Ordered the short rib and it was one of the best I've had. We shared a couple of sides, including the au gratin potatoes and green beans. Sides were definitely large enough portions to share. Bread pudding was a great end to the meal. There is valet parking available.

The restaurant is very dark but has enough ambient light at your table. The food tasted great. The staff was attentive. The staff was helpful but it does get very annoying when you order something and they try to upsell you every step of the way. I enjoyed my experienced but I'm not sure if I'll be back anytime soon.

Vick & Anthony's has the absolute best crab cake I've ever had! My food was brought out within five minutes of me, ordering it! Vick & Anthony's is not an inexpensive restaurant but every time I've gone to Vick Anthony's, I've had amazing service and phenomenal food! The ambience of this restaurant is upscale, and the staff are generally highly trained and provide outstanding customer service I also tried the jumbo shrimp cocktail, which was excellent! I recommend this restaurant! GN3

Truth time. We haven't been here in a while because of a bad experience over a year ago.., but tonight, we went with some friends and it was excellent! The service was top notch, and the food was so delicious! The atmosphere is always bustling, and maybe a tiny bit too loud to have deep conversations, but a great warm feeling of everyone having a wonderful time overrides that! You will not find better crab cakes on the face of this earth. Believe me when I say I have tried for years.... And they carry the trophy for best on the planet!! (Would you believe I forgot to take a pic of them?) See... I was so excited I couldn't think straight! 5 stars for V & A!

HRW 2025: Warm dark chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream
    Annalisa P.

I wanted to love this steakhouse and had high hopes, but I wasn't impressed. I went to try this on the last day of HRW 2025. It was pouring rain, so it was nice that the entrance has an awning and is in between Westin downtown which helps block some rain. There's some street parking nearby along with parking garages. Our seats were ready when we arrived. It wasn't busy in the section we were seated in. The interior reminded me of The Capital Grille onWestheimer. It's dark with booth and table seating with black and gold interior and leather. Quite grand. It's beautiful inside. Our server didn't introduce himself, but he was nice. I could tell that he was giving us time to talk, but as that seating area filled, he was hardly around and serving tables on the opposite side of the room. I found it odd that they gave 2 servers mixed tables on opposite sides of the seating area. The complimentary French bread was served warm with pretty-piped salted butter. It reminded me of Pappadeux except the bread was pre-sliced. I had the classic Caesar salad, 6 oz filet mignon with whipped potatoes, haricot verts, and truffled compound butter and the warm, dark chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream. Classic Caesar salad - Large portion. Liked that there wasn't full anchovies on it. The croutons were buttery and crumbled nicely while eating. The downside - there was too much dressing all over. It coated the romaine so much that it looked wilted and was too acidic to eat much of. Disappointing. I will start asking for dressing on the side, but usually Caesar salad isn't drenched like that. 6 oz. filet mignon with whipped potatoes, haricot verts, and truffled compound butter - I liked how tender the filet mignon was, but there was absolutely no bark or crust on the steak. It was one note - soft. They cooked it medium to perfection, at least. The truffled compound butter was salted and had bits of truffle in there which was nice. The mashed potatoes tasted a little like instant potatoes and were a little sticky in texture. The haricot verts (French for green beans) was crisp but plain. They left the ends on which can make it more tough and fibrous. Dark chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream - It was a nice, gooey dark chocolate brownie almost like molten lava cake. It had a thin, crispy chocolate wafer on top which added great texture. The whipped cream and vanilla ice cream was standard. My friend had the apple streusel coffee cake which was presented nicely. It was like a mini bundt cake with the perfect scoop of ice cream. It wasn't too dense. Give them a try and see if you like it, but I think there are better steakhouses in Houston.

This was my birthday celebration! I can't believe I have been living in Houston this long and have never been here. For starters, be mindful there is a dress code. You can not wear shorts in the dining area. We were still welcomed to dine but were moved to and area with high table area. Side note: it wasn't me. I was looking gorg. Okay back to whay you came here. The food here was great from beginning to the end. Although not the best crab cake I have had, it is in the top 3. The steak. The STEAK! It melted in my mouth like butter. Although it cost just as much as my car insurance does, it is definitely unforgettable. The photo posted is 1/2 of this 16 oz. Steak. The sides were buttery and cooked to perfection. I don't even know why we had dessert we were so full and had food to be able to take home. Oh yes, I know why, it was my birthday.

    Prime NY Strip 14oz
    Jason N.

Vic & Anthony's steakhouse! I came here to have a nice dinner for my parents and it was a great experience! Ordered the Prime NY strip 14oz, Prime Rib eye 18oz (not shown in this review unfortunately), gulf red snapper, a side of lyonnaise potstos, and the crossiant bread pudding for dessert. The Prime NY strip was superb, very juicy and easily one of the best. Prepared steaks I've had. The Prime RibEye was ok in my own opinion, definitely much more preferred the NY strip. I thought the RibEye would be more juicy and rich and more tender but I felt like the NY strip came out overall much better. The lyonnaise potatos I personally wouldn't get it again, pretty basic and its expensive for the price. Gulf red snapper was very fresh and prepared beautifully. We loved it! Crossiant bread pudding was on point. The coffee crunchyness is a nice addition to the bread pudding and ice cream. We loved it! Service was attentive and amazing, the servers take their time talking to you, explaining the differences and their opinions on the menu. I saw our waiter taking alot of his own time to explain each cut of meat to the table next to us when they were trying to decide what to get. Parking around the area is of course terrible, they offer valet for a price of course. Prepare to have trouble getting out of the place as the small driveway gets congested during peak hours.

Parking is costly nervy since it's near Daikin park, so valet is the easy and low cost option. Hostess greeted us at arrival and had the table ready within 5 minutes. We had Andres as our server and he was AMAZING! Now for the food... oh man it was good. The lobster bisque has plenty of pieces of lobster and wonderful flavor. The warm bread is fantastic and we had to stop ourselves after a piece to not fill up. The bone in rib eye came out beautifully seared and cooked perfectly to requested temp (medium rare). Same for the NY strip. Both steaks were very good. We shared whipped potatoes and creamed spinach and were in heaven. Can't wait to come back

Celebrated 2 birthdays (my brother & mine) here Sunday night with our family of 7. It is quite elegant with a strict dress code although it seems they're more lenient if you want to dine at the bar. The lighting is very dim but I guess that is to be expected with an upscale restaurant. I really like that there is live music every night that you can hear throughout the whole restaurant. While our server was pretty knowledgeable and professional, I didn't feel as if was very personal - the way he talked just seem so transactional. The service was very slow - our reservation was for 7:15 but it took awhile for our waiter to get our orders so we didn't get our main entrees till 8:30 and didn't leave the restaurant till almost 10 pm because of all the waiting. For the appetizers, both the jumbo lump crab cake & seared scallops were very flavorful and paired well with the sauces it came with. My 8 oz filet mignon was incredibly tender and melted in your mouth. The 18 oz ribeye, on the other hand, had quite a lot of fat to it and was a little on the chewier and more rare side. I did notice that most of the steaks came out a touch under what was requested for the doneness of the meat. For the sides, we got sea salt fries (absolutely incredible, best fries of my life), Brussel sprouts, mac & cheese (very rich), & green beans (honestly could have done without these, felt a little underdone still and had very little flavor). We got 2 complimentary desserts for our birthdays - the 24 layer chocolate cake & croissant bread pudding. Holy cow, the chocolate cake was insane. It was 12 fine layers of chocolate cake intertwined with another 12 fine layers of milk chocolate cream and covered in chocolate ganache. It was rich but not overly so, would have paired well with maybe some ice cream to make the whole dish a little less dry. The croissant bread pudding was another masterpiece in itself, so soft and delicate. While the food itself was very good, the rest of the experience did not meet the expectations I had for a steakhouse with such high ratings so I was a little disappointed in that aspect. Hopefully the next time I come back will be more favorable.

Lovely ambience, impeccable service, and amazing seafood. 1. Con 1- one of the guests was hit with a splash of coke on their white sweater and it did stain the sweater. Happened almost immediately after being seated in a high traffic spot. 2. While the sirloin cut was very flavorful, it was not as tender as some other well known steakhouses in the city. 3. The lump crab cake appetizer is the best I have ever had. Ever. Get 2 for the table (2-4 guests). There's a lovely softness to it within a wonderfully thin, crisp crust. Divine. 4. The service is impeccable. 5. My filet mignon was very tender but not the most flavorful. Almost perfect. 6. Their crème brûlée is served in a long thin dish (like a foot long thin rectangular dish). While it was tasty, it was served cold. The crust at the top was not as crisp or fresh. I would've preferred a warm crème brûlée or room temp. With a fresh sugar crust newly fired. 7. Their crescent bread pudding is served warm and it is delicious. Decadent. Quite delicious. 8. Cost is high but the caliber is there. 9. Not my first choice in steakhouse but I wouldn't deny an invite for a special occasion. 10. We went for Christmas Day and the staff were genial and quick. The place was packed for a holiday like Christmas. I was surprised. 11. Worth a trip at least once or twice!

Is there live music? If so, which nights?

    https://www.vicandanthonys.com/event/live-music-nightly/ It's an amazing place.

I will be coming with a group of meat-eaters but I am vegan and gluten-free. Will I be starving when I leave?

Hello, we offer salad options and vegetable sides to order.

What's the current dress code for men?

In the main dining rooms: No shorts, no hats, no flip flops. The bar area does not have this dress code and is open seating, first come first served. On game days, there is counter seating facing the kitchen available on a first come first served… Read more

Dress code in summer for men...i assume its a bit more relaxed. im not expecting shorts to be allowed but i would not guess most men are in jackets when its 90+ outside even in the evening.…

Jackets are not required You are good with a pair of slacks or jeans & a collared shirt. Short or long sleeves are accepted

Is this the same restaurant as the Vic & Anthony's in Las Vegas?

    yes.

So we have reservations for 2 at 5pm, and we have tickets to ballet that we need to arrive around 6:30 for ? Can we be in and out comfortably in about an hour? I'm hoping…

Maybe if you know what to order as soon as you sit down and advise your server of your time limit. 1.5 hrs is cutting time very close tho for any sit down dinner plans IMO.

Any sort of dress code?? To update this…

Our suggested attire is business or dressy casual. A jacket and tie is preferred for gentlemen, but not required. We do not allow hats, shorts or flip-flops.

    Do they take to-go orders?

First, why would you want a $75 dollar steak to go! With that said, if you ask I'm sure they will accommodate. If you're unable to enjoy the ambiance, enjoy their food.

Going to a Wednesday night Astros game. Going to eat in the bar. Can we valet and leave our car til the game is over?

Yes you can. You still have to pay for valet, it's not comped which is surprising to me so I would definitely keep it there since you pay $8 already.

Is a reservation necessary? Looking to take my girlfriend for our one year and want to make sure I get everything right.

    Yes

We finished almost everything except a quarter of the Pan, about a quarter of the rice, and about a third of the ribeye. All were great dishes and would definitely order again. We skipped dessert because honestly none stood out to us. He said their popular dessert is the souffle but they were sold out. Our total before gratuity was about $250 and that included one cocktail. He ended up being one of the best aspects of our experience that evening. Our waitress wasn't nearly as good. We started by asking for ice in the water from the waitress since they just give you room temp water. After 10 mins of seeing her serve other tables and ignoring our request, we then figured the water boy would make it happen...and sure enough he did. We then ordered the grilled oysters, which are very lightly cooked, almost seemingly steamed more than anything, but they were very good regardless of the cooking method with the sauces and garnishes and pickle juice added. Next up was ordering the entrees. The menu here is a little strange with numerous vegan choices with strange titles and only a few items with protein. To top it off, there are not many choices period. The waitress explained that the left side is basically the apps, and the right side is basically the entrees. I knew I wanted to try the wagyu flat iron steak which is priced pretty high here, compared to other wagyu flat irons I've had at other restaurants across the US. We couldn't really decide on a 2nd main dish then the waitress mentioned the off the menu special which was a scallop pasta so we picked that thinking it sounded delicious. The entrees come out about 15 mins later, and we take our first bites and we both thought, oh no, if we share the other person across from me isn't going to like this dish because it's too salty. I tried the steak first and noticed the sauce being extra salty, then I tried the pasta and the pasta was way worse, but the scallops didn't seem to be affected. We immediately told the waitress the next time she stopped by....and she just said okay, and walked away. I figured she would go get the manager....but nope...she just kept on serving other tables. At this point we thought to ourselves only the oyster app was decent.....and no reason to look at the dessert menu since we had already spent over $100 on food we could hardly eat. Sure enough, the waitress stops by a 2nd time and asks if we'd like to see the dessert menu. I couldn't leave fast enough and told her we'll skip. Needless to say we both left hungry as the portions were not only not edible, but also fairly small. The water boy also stopped by and offered to turn on the heater if we get cold. Boy, I wish he was our waiter instead. For a supposedly Michelin-starred restaurant, I feel they really got this one wrong.

Plates and utensils were constantly refreshed, water glasses never empty, and every staff member was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. I arrived about an hour before closing, expecting it to be quiet, but at 9:00 p.m. it was still bustling with energy, laughter, and that soft glow that makes everything feel a little more special. I ordered the pork chop and swapped the carrots for broccolini. The pork chop had a beautiful char and was full of flavor--slightly undercooked, yes, but still delicious enough to carry the whole meal. I do wish they had mashed potatoes on the menu, though... it would have made it perfect. We also shared the Brussels sprouts, and sadly, they missed the mark this time. Dry and bitter, nothing like the saucy, flavorful version I've had before--maybe just the late hour catching up with the kitchen. But even so, that pork chop... it lingered in the best way. And sometimes, that's all you need.

There were also a lot of families, which was cute, although I personally am not buying my daughter $16 fries. Our waitress was personable and made great suggestions, especially regarding mocktails. This is important for non-drinkers because there are no mocktails on the drink menu, but the bartender will craft something you will like. Even my friend who normally avoids mocktails was very impressed. Apps: Crab Hushpuppies - 10/10: Crunchy, crabby, and came with a fantastic honey butter sauce. Caviar Tater Tots - 6/10: Well done -- they literally whipped the potato on the inside -- but at $37, you are paying more for the caviar, which was missing that fresh, creamy saltiness you normally seek. You also only get 4 tots. I would just get two orders of the crab hushpuppies. Mains: Chicken - 10/10: The truffle sauce was dreamy, and I think they could sell it on the streets. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and tender, and the dish also came with flaked truffles on top. I normally do not order chicken out, but this dish makes me wonder what I've been missing. Lobster fettuccini - 7/10: I don't think this is the dish to get here. The lobster didn't taste the freshest, and it also didn't have a lot of lobster to begin with. The sauce was well done and clearly made with lobster stock. I would come back, but there are dishes that shine much brighter than others.

Extremely kind service from the hosts through the entire team. The best balance of conversational and storytelling without being overbearing. We ordered coffees along with the crab hush puppies, gumbo, avocado toast, and ended with their massive cinnamon roll. It was the perfect spread and everything was so flavorful! (My only critique was I wish the cinnamon roll was warmed up and served with a bit more icing). The interior was fabulous with an amazing aroma. I would highly recommend for anywhere from an intimate date to a group brunch! Beautiful bar as well, I cannot wait to come again another night for dinner. Upon exit, we were also departed with a complimentary cookie - super cute touch!

I know. "Fine dining" and burgers? But that's what I wanted. I searched the web and found the Chefs Table in Vintage Park, and it wasn't too far from us here in The Woodlands, so we decided to make reservations and head there. From the moment we entered, we were treated like special guests. The ambiance is rich, but not overdone or stuffy. Simply classic and relaxing. Our booth felt private and unhindered by conversations of nearby diners or wait staff bustling past. Our cocktails were perfect. The calimari we ordered as an appetizer was probably the most tender and delicious either of us have ever had. And when our burgers arrived, I was so happy. It was exactly what I had set my mind on when selecting my birthday dinner experience. The blend of brisket and chuck was absolutely delicious, set atop a perfectly buttered toasted bun, with some crispy onion straws on top. And the fries... oh my! I rarely if ever eat fried food - so clearly this was my big day to completely go off my standard fare, but those fries had the perfect crunch and flavor. Apparently, when my husband made our resv, he told them it was my birthday, so our server brought out a delightful complimentary spiced cake dessert after we were finished eating - for us to share. It was the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Thank you to the entire staff at The Chefs Table yesterday, for helping to create a memorable and delicious birthday feast for my husband and me. We will definitely be back to try some other delights because the menu is packed full of amazing looking dishes.
