After a very long weekend of exhibiting at the convention center, this meal was the absolute cherry on top of the entire weekend. We had it recommended to us and decided to send it. The best decision we made all weekend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has a nice steakhouse vibe, with dark lighting with a piano singer in the bar that was absolutely crushing it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The entire bar staff became friends with us immediately. Big shout out to Brit who was the absolute MVP of our trip. Not only did she provide top-tier service but she gave us great local recommendations for some pool and dive bars that sealed the Houston experience for us. We got the bacon and quail appetizers. I would literally come back down to H town just for that. So incredibly good. We also ordered the chef special, a surf and turf Filet with shrimp scampi on top on a bed of whipped potatoes and broccolini. Absolute fire. Our other colleague got the ribeye that also crushed. The accompaniments were mac and cheese and fries. The mac was soo good. Really you need to stop reading this and go ahead and go there now. Like right now. Go on!

Amazing service and friendly staff! The food was amazing and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the atmosphere of the restaurant was very welcoming and pleasant![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I want to shoutout a special waiter who made our visit special his name is Dominic or Dominique. I apologize if i spell his name wrong but he left a very great impression on me and my friends and I will be sure to come back and see him again!

I ordered the octopus and it was really good. Not the best in Houston but it was very tender. A little fishy but good.

We had an amazing experience tonight! We ordered off the restaurant week menu and everything was delicious. Our server, Venny, was wonderful. He was attentive and super friendly, and gave us a free dessert for our celebratory dinner. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, we will be back!

We came here to celebrate my husband for his birthday. I made a reservation in advance for us and were seated right away. We also used Valet for parking since the Astros game was going on that night and parking was crazy. As soon as we sat down we were greeted by our server Sonya who was beyond amazing!! She was very patient, informative and showed us great hospitality!! The sommelier was great as well and we ordered a bottle of wine. We ordered the pear & blue cheese salad to start off with and the shrimp cocktail. For our main course I had the red snapper and my husband had the steak with potatoes and spinach. It was all so yummy!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience was very chill and relaxing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After all the yummy food we had cream brûlée and it was delicious as well! Overall we had a great time and will definitely be bringing some friends with us next time! Thank you again Sonya for the amazing service!!

We came to celebrate a friend's birthday and probably ate WAY too much. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat in the corner, which we liked. The vibes are quiet and fancy for sure.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I forget our server's name, but he was great and personable. We tried a variety of things as a table. Oysters, Crab Cake, Bone Marrow, Crab Cakes, Cesar Salad, Bone-In Ribeye and the fish (I forget what it was, pic attached). We got a variety of sides like mash potatoes, fries, mac and cheese... honestly for 6 people we were overeating LOL. Bone-In-Ribeye was really fatty/oily, but pretty good. I really enjoyed the fish and would get it again. Obviously, pricing is high, but I think it is worth it. Definitely check it out for a special occasions!

Vick & Anthony's has the absolute best crab cake I've ever had! My food was brought out within five minutes of me, ordering it! Vick & Anthony's is not an inexpensive restaurant but every time I've gone to Vick Anthony's, I've had amazing service and phenomenal food! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience of this restaurant is upscale, and the staff are generally highly trained and provide outstanding customer service[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I also tried the jumbo shrimp cocktail, which was excellent! I recommend this restaurant! GN3

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is very dark but has enough ambient light at your table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food tasted great. The staff was attentive. The staff was helpful but it does get very annoying when you order something and they try to upsell you every step of the way. I enjoyed my experienced but I'm not sure if I'll be back anytime soon.

Went here for a late dinner. Sat in the bar for a little bit and ordered a drink while waiting for our table to be ready. Ordered the short rib and it was one of the best I've had. We shared a couple of sides, including the au gratin potatoes and green beans. Sides were definitely large enough portions to share. Bread pudding was a great end to the meal. There is valet parking available.

Truth time. We haven't been here in a while because of a bad experience over a year ago.., but tonight, we went with some friends and it was excellent! The service was top notch, and the food was so delicio[[HIGHLIGHT]]us! The atmosphere is always bustling, and maybe a tiny bit too loud to have deep conversations, but a great warm feeling of everyone having a wonderful time overrides [[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]that! You will not find better crab cakes on the face of this earth. Believe me when I say I have tried for years.... And they carry the trophy for best on the planet!! (Would you believe I forgot to take a pic of them?) See... I was so excited I couldn't think straight! 5 stars for V & A!

Service by summer was great. The quail was delicious and the fried lobster with Mac n cheese 10/10. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dim lighting is so romantic[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the old fashion my husband had was wonderful.

HRW 2025: Warm dark chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream
    Annalisa P.

I wanted to love this steakhouse and had high hopes, but I wasn't impressed. I went to try this on the last day of HRW 2025. It was pouring rain, so it was nice that the entrance has an awning and is in between Westin downtown which helps block some rain. There's some street parking nearby along with parking garages. Our seats were ready when we arrived. It wasn't busy in the section we were seated in. The interior reminded me of The Capital Grille onWestheimer. It's dark with booth and table seating with black and gold interior and leather. Quite grand. It's beautiful inside. Our server didn't introduce himself, but he was nice. I could tell that he was giving us time to talk, but as that seating area filled, he was hardly around and serving tables on the opposite side of the room. I found it odd that they gave 2 servers mixed tables on opposite sides of the seating area. The complimentary French bread was served warm with pretty-piped salted butter. It reminded me of Pappadeux except the bread was pre-sliced. I had the classic Caesar salad, 6 oz filet mignon with whipped potatoes, haricot verts, and truffled compound butter and the warm, dark chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream. Classic Caesar salad - Large portion. Liked that there wasn't full anchovies on it. The croutons were buttery and crumbled nicely while eating. The downside - there was too much dressing all over. It coated the romaine so much that it looked wilted and was too acidic to eat much of. Disappointing. I will start asking for dressing on the side, but usually Caesar salad isn't drenched like that. 6 oz. filet mignon with whipped potatoes, haricot verts, and truffled compound butter - I liked how tender the filet mignon was, but there was absolutely no bark or crust on the steak. It was one note - soft. They cooked it medium to perfection, at least. The truffled compound butter was salted and had bits of truffle in there which was nice. The mashed potatoes tasted a little like instant potatoes and were a little sticky in texture. The haricot verts (French for green beans) was crisp but plain. They left the ends on which can make it more tough and fibrous. Dark chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream - It was a nice, gooey dark chocolate brownie almost like molten lava cake. It had a thin, crispy chocolate wafer on top which added great texture. The whipped cream and vanilla ice cream was standard. My friend had the apple streusel coffee cake which was presented nicely. It was like a mini bundt cake with the perfect scoop of ice cream. It wasn't too dense. Give them a try and see if you like it, but I think there are better steakhouses in Houston.

This was my birthday celebration! I can't believe I have been living in Houston this long and have never been here. For starters, be mindful there is a dress code. You can not wear shorts in the dining area. We were still welcomed to dine but were moved to and area with high table area. Side note: it wasn't me. I was looking gorg. Okay back to whay you came here. The food here was great from beginning to the end. Although not the best crab cake I have had, it is in the top 3. The steak. The STEAK! It melted in my mouth like butter. Although it cost just as much as my car insurance does, it is definitely unforgettable. The photo posted is 1/2 of this 16 oz. Steak. The sides were buttery and cooked to perfection. I don't even know why we had dessert we were so full and had food to be able to take home. Oh yes, I know why, it was my birthday.

Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse

Is there live music? If so, which nights?

    https://www.vicandanthonys.com/event/live-music-nightly/ It's an amazing place.

I will be coming with a group of meat-eaters but I am vegan and gluten-free. Will I be starving when I leave?

Hello, we offer salad options and vegetable sides to order.

What's the current dress code for men?

In the main dining rooms: No shorts, no hats, no flip flops. The bar area does not have this dress code and is open seating, first come first served. On game days, there is counter seating facing the kitchen available on a first come first served…

Dress code in summer for men...i assume its a bit more relaxed. im not expecting shorts to be allowed but i would not guess most men are in jackets when its 90+ outside even in the evening.…

Jackets are not required You are good with a pair of slacks or jeans & a collared shirt. Short or long sleeves are accepted

Is this the same restaurant as the Vic & Anthony's in Las Vegas?

    yes.

So we have reservations for 2 at 5pm, and we have tickets to ballet that we need to arrive around 6:30 for ? Can we be in and out comfortably in about an hour? I'm hoping…

Maybe if you know what to order as soon as you sit down and advise your server of your time limit. 1.5 hrs is cutting time very close tho for any sit down dinner plans IMO.

Any sort of dress code?? To update this…

Our suggested attire is business or dressy casual. A jacket and tie is preferred for gentlemen, but not required. We do not allow hats, shorts or flip-flops.

    Do they take to-go orders?

First, why would you want a $75 dollar steak to go! With that said, if you ask I'm sure they will accommodate. If you're unable to enjoy the ambiance, enjoy their food.

Going to a Wednesday night Astros game. Going to eat in the bar. Can we valet and leave our car til the game is over?

Yes you can. You still have to pay for valet, it's not comped which is surprising to me so I would definitely keep it there since you pay $8 already.

Is a reservation necessary? Looking to take my girlfriend for our one year and want to make sure I get everything right.

    Yes

Credence -- Where Live Fire Becomes Language and Houston Becomes Art…read more Credence isn't just a restaurant; it's a declaration written in flame. The moment you step inside, the room opens like a long exhale -- wide, airy, and confident, anchored by an open kitchen that glows with the kind of live fire that doesn't simply cook food but tells stories. This is Houston hospitality raised to its highest register, the kind that once earned a Michelin Star for service and still moves with the quiet pride of a place that knows exactly what it's doing. Chef Levi Goode's first brick‑and‑mortar feels like a culmination -- a fifth‑generation Texan with classical training finally building a home where both halves of his identity can stretch their legs. You taste the lineage in the smoke, the discipline in the technique, and the ambition in the menu, which reads like a love letter to Gulf waters, ranch land, and the elemental power of fire. Start with the seafood tower if you want to understand Credence's worldview: fresh, cold, towering abundance arranged with the precision of someone who respects the ocean as much as the plate. The smoked tuna dip is a quiet masterpiece -- silky, savory, and carrying a whisper of smoke that feels like a signature. But the deviled crab? That's where the kitchen shows off. The crab arrives tossed in a smoky tomato butter that clings to every fold, every shred, every hidden corner. Then comes the monkey bread -- warm, soft, pull‑apart temptation -- the kind of bread that makes you forget your manners and commit fully to the moment. But the flame is the true narrator here. It guides the entrées, sets the rhythm, and crowns the showpieces. The whole duck is a spectacle, a celebration, a feast meant for people who appreciate craft and aren't afraid of abundance. It arrives whole (no head), lacquered and glistening, with two legs transformed into confit jewels -- tender, rich, and decadent enough to make you pause mid‑bite. This is not a solo mission; bring a friend or two unless you plan to make a memory out of leftovers. If beef is your compass, the prime dry‑aged New York strip is a study in restraint and precision. Charred edges, deep flavor, and that unmistakable live‑fire signature that makes you wonder why you ever settled for anything cooked on a quiet grill. Dessert at Credence is not an afterthought -- it's a finale. The brown butter Bundt cake arrives warm and fragrant, crowned with chantilly cream that melts into every ridge. It's sized for a crowd, but sharing becomes a philosophical dilemma. Credence is not cheap, but it is honest. Every dollar is accounted for in intention, detail, and execution. This is Houston -- bold, generous, and unafraid -- translated into food, flame, and service. A restaurant that honors the land, the lineage, and the craft, all at once.

If you enjoy decadent food, Credence is the spot! The interior is refined but still welcoming and…read morelively with Southern charm. Service was amazing-- we loved our waiter who was a combination of polite, funny, and knowledgeable, and everyone gave us a smile. All the dishes were beautifully presented and flavorful but definitely on the heavier side. - Beet salad (5/5)-- wow, never had a beet salad like this one before! So much flavor with a tanginess from vinegar sweetened by the blueberries and beets. The beets didn't taste very earthy (aka like dirt) compared to most beet salad. This was really well executed :) - Caesar salad (3.5/5)-- Credence's spin on Caesar, which according to my Caesar salad pro diner, didn't really taste like Caesar salad. Also very tangy and tart but the pro still enjoyed it as a salad dish. - Roasted cabbage (4/5)-- big fan of the way they roasted this, perfect tenderness without being cabbage mush! Definitely a heavy dish, especially for a vegetable option, as it was swimming in a butter cream sauce that started to congeal as it cooled off. Would choose this more as an indulgent appetizer rather than a healthy veggie option. I wonder if one could ask for the sauce on the side... - Tuna tostada (3.5/5)-- if you like strong flavors, this one packs a punch. The gochujang aioli beneath the tuna is really concentrated, making it difficult to taste the actual tuna. There's a bit of heat but thankfully I wouldn't say it was spicy. Fun to try. The tostada itself was very dense and almost a bit bread-y versus a crispy chip texture. - Crab fried rice (4/5)-- comes with lobster foam that is mixed table side and a generous amount of crabmeat lumps. The rice actually had a nice texture without being too... grainy / individualized, but it was too salty for me. - Akaushi Wagyu beef (4.5/5)-- loved the texture which was tender but with some chew (was expecting more of a melt-in-the-mouth texture though) and the veggies that it came with. It was heavily salted, too much so for me. Would've been perfect with less salt since there's already a chimichurri sauce with it. - Peanut butter tart (4.5/5)-- peanut butter lovers rejoice! The chocolate filling was rich, thick, and sweet which was complemented nicely with the whipped cream (not sweet at all). The peanut flavor really shined. The crust didn't have much of a taste by itself and was sandy in texture, not sure if on purpose or over-baked and dried out. Either way, the tart looked impressive when it arrived and was delectable-- my favorite bite of the night! Overall a nice experience! Although there was a mess up and the rest of our two salads and crab rice wasn't packed with our other food to take home; I was pretty sad about that since it was quite a bit of food (and $$). I might return for that peanut butter tart, but everything else was too heavy and too salty for me. I'm personally not a huge butter fan, but if you are, definitely make a reservation for a special occasion or date!

The service was 10/10, food was amaaaazing. We looked at other reviews before going and went with an app we didn't hear much about, but an entree that we did hear amazing things about. Everyone raves about the pasta and rightfully so. The noodles with the right amount of bolognese was such a flavorful comfort food. The pork belly was also delicious but the pasta hit better. Dessert: of course i had to get both! We got the famous olive oil cake and their banana rum cheesecake. We didnt taste much banana unfortunately but the cheesecake was tasty. Our waitress brought out a table fan so that made the experience a little more tolerable. The chocolate peanut butter pie tasted like a salt rock and the lemon chiffon pie had great flavor but not lemony enough for me. All in all this place is a bit pricey but truly a gem! Until next time, Nobie!

While we waited for our table, we grabbed drinks at the bar on the other side, which felt like the perfect way to start the evening. I don't play about service and every box you could check was executed very well here. The greeting on entry was very intentional and welcoming. The table was still pending so the hostess showed us the bar and welcomed us to wait there. The bartender greeted us with a smile. We started with wine and when the table was ready the hostess came to gather us. A server came to take our drinks over to the table for us and they transferred the tab for us. Y'all, I love not having to think for a moment lol, please guide me through an experience. Ok so we got escorted to the table and since it was for my birthday, the hostess said "I think I have the perfect birthday table for you." And she did, because we ended up with the cutest plush velvet (I think lol) booth overlooking the rest of the restaurant so we could really take in the atmosphere. Also, loved the fully open-concept kitchen. Being able to see all the action added to the experience and gave the space a lively, interactive feel. Ok back to service because Bludorn really is topping the game! Our server was sweet and was able to speak to all the menu options. He really steered me in the right direction on choices, not one miss! Occasionally other staff would pop by just to say hi and make sure we were doing well. And I just love a little attention when I'm out spending my money y'all so that sat well with me. Ok now let's talk about the main event, the food. To start they brought us their version of Parker Rolls with a garlic butter, excellent starter. For an app I got the Chilled Corn Soup with Blue Crab. It was really refreshing, the flavors were vibrant and that crab was fresh. They also did not skimp on the crab. I honestly hated that it had to come to an end. For my entrée I did the Blackened Red Snapper (removed the bacon). This dish had a black eyed pea and puree situation under the fish. It was delicious! The snapper was perfectly flaky and tender, and the flavor of the accompanying puree was reminiscent of my mom's black eyed pea stew with bold flavors. The only thing was that I wanted the portion to be a little bigger, just made me sad is all lol. We also ordered the creamed spinach because they said it's one of their best sides and y'all it was so rich and velvety, it practically melted in my mouth! Now since it was my bday they brought out a cute chocolate dessert and had Happy Birthday written on the plate. I love details, it's going to get me every time. My friend got the salmon and said that it was "ok, nothing super special." She did love her shrimp app though. When we were ready for the check they brought out a cute postcard and the check was on the back. I thought that was so different, like finding a way to make the check cute is a talent lol. Also, for our left overs, they brought us little gold number plates, which we took to the front when leaving to claim our to-go bags. I thought this was very sophisticated, keeping the table clear in case you want to continue with drinks and convo, etc. Overall, the ambiance was warm, intimate, elevated, and effortlessly a vibe. Definitely the kind of place that feels perfect for date night or a cute dinner out with the girls. Would I go again? Of course, and I wouldn't think twice. As a matter of fact I'm making resys for brunch within the next few weeks. I plan to keep Bludorn in my rotation because when a place does it right you keep them close. I know Yelp does an overall star rating, but I'm going to start breaking my reviews down to show how I rate the different elements. Aesthetic or environment 5/5 Service 5/5 Food 4.5/5

First, we got there pretty early for our reservation. We sat almost immediately upon check in. Our waiter was in training but did a really good job. Ordered a whiskey sour. Was seated at the bar so I got to watch it be made. The bartender- man that guy never stopped. He was organized and just did his thing. So many pretty drinks were made while I was there watching. The pink one, whatever it was, was really pretty! On to the food. We got two apps, two meals, and two desserts. Husband ordered the Brussels, Steak Frites, and the Devil's Affogato. I got the Bacon covered Dates, the Pizza, and the Sticky Toffee Cake. The Brussels were good - husband liked them more than me. They were good. Had cashews in them. Little spicy. The bacon covered dates. Think this was my favorite bite. Sweet, salty, creamy. Came we three & I had two. The pizza was sweet and salty as well. The crust was so good and fresh. The arugula set it off so well. Def a buy again! The Steak Frites was so good. The chimichurri sauce was perfect. Just the right mount of citrus. Steak was tender and the fries seasoned well. The desserts - don't skip them! The Devils Affogato we had the first time we ate at Sixty Vines. Had to have it again. If you like coffee, chocolate and vanilla ice cream just get it. Restaurant vibe is relaxed and clean. There were several large parties and what looked like a lot of date night guests. Just try it. No regrets!!

Avery was a wonderful bartender and kept up with entertaining conversations and was attentive to all service needs. Tried the g4 tequila reposado and it was very easy drinking.

I know. "Fine dining" and burgers? But that's what I wanted. I searched the web and found the Chefs Table in Vintage Park, and it wasn't too far from us here in The Woodlands, so we decided to make reservations and head there. From the moment we entered, we were treated like special guests. The ambiance is rich, but not overdone or stuffy. Simply classic and relaxing. Our booth felt private and unhindered by conversations of nearby diners or wait staff bustling past. Our cocktails were perfect. The calimari we ordered as an appetizer was probably the most tender and delicious either of us have ever had. And when our burgers arrived, I was so happy. It was exactly what I had set my mind on when selecting my birthday dinner experience. The blend of brisket and chuck was absolutely delicious, set atop a perfectly buttered toasted bun, with some crispy onion straws on top. And the fries... oh my! I rarely if ever eat fried food - so clearly this was my big day to completely go off my standard fare, but those fries had the perfect crunch and flavor. Apparently, when my husband made our resv, he told them it was my birthday, so our server brought out a delightful complimentary spiced cake dessert after we were finished eating - for us to share. It was the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Thank you to the entire staff at The Chefs Table yesterday, for helping to create a memorable and delicious birthday feast for my husband and me. We will definitely be back to try some other delights because the menu is packed full of amazing looking dishes.

We were seated in a booth that felt quite cramped for a business meeting. Next time, we'd likely request a more open, well-lit table. We ordered several dishes, but the Chilean sea bass was disappointing. It was dry, lacked the buttery texture it's known for, and was quite bland. We also requested a side of hot sauce, but that request was overlooked. To end the meal, we planned to order coffee and toffee instead of dessert. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, we were told the coffee machine had broken. Unfortunately, by then the server seemed eager to wrap things up and didn't really give us the opportunity to consider any other after-meal options. Overall, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and we can see why it's popular, but the food execution and service fell short of our expectations, especially for a business lunch. We hope these issues were just an off day, as we'd like to give it another chance.
