I went into this store this Tuesday and was discriminated against due to disability by a female store clerk and the manager that day. I told them that I was disabled and they still refused to address my problem. I also told them that Verizon's customer service said that I can return my phone whenever I am able to due to my being disabled. They still denied to assist me. This is discrimination and they should be made aware of the incident. I have already forwarded my complaint to verizon but wanted to reach out to the store as well. They either don't answer the phone or say the manager is not available. They did not give the option of having the manager return my call when they do become available. I went in for my last bill after switching carriers. I understand there is no incentive for associates to help out in a situation like that. Still, Hernan said he could help. There were some hinderances as my account was difficult to access for some reason, and one of the other associates even told him to tell me to just call customer service (although I was only there bc they told me I had to go in person). But he offered to call customer service himself to help get this all sorted out. He figured it out while on the phone in the meantime and gave me what I needed. I chose their "24/7" locker pickup thinking it would be super convenient to pick up my new iPhone. Boy was I wrong. I promptly received a message that my order was ready for pickup. Drove about 40 minutes to get here. I arrived at around 6:15 (6pm is the store's closing time) and put in my info on the screen, clicked the security link I was sent etc. I expected a locker to open but absolutely nothing happened. The locker was stuck, I flagged down a guy inside to try to help me. He was useless, couldn't even get the locker to open for me. God forbid they lift a finger. Sure they were closed but 1000% not my fault the locker did not open! You cannot offer 24/7 pick-up and not give 24/7 pick-up. Ultimately, I had to cancel my order and now I'm stuck in this hell of a loop waiting for my trade-in device to clear for trading in again, and my "contract" to be fully cancelled to re-do this thing all over (at a different location, if that wasn't already obvious). My boyfriend and I came into this store a couple of weeks ago inquiring about upgrading his Apple Watch. His watch was damaged, so we specifically asked if there would be any trade in value. The rep that assisted us looked at the damaged watch, looked us dead in the face and said "oh yeah, Verizon has a promotion right now. They're taking any watch doesn't matter if it's damaged and it's a $400.00 credit." We asked if he was sure, he said yes. He printed the documents that showed the credits would be applied to the new watch and so we left with the new watch. We came back last weekend to turn in the old watch, and the person that assisted us said "sorry, the watch is damaged so there's no trade in value." Basically, the first rep that "assisted" told a bold face lie to get a sale done and earn his commission. Be careful with the sales people here. They have no shame in lying to people just to meet their quotas. read more

This afternoon I stopped into the Verizon Store located at 5438 Whittier Blvd. City of Commerce to find out why my phone was not updating my messages since the day before. I was greeted by Jessica who was able to update my phone immediately. It so easy when you know what you're doing! This review is for my excellent experience with Crystal H! Went in this week to inquire about a phone as my contract was ending. Not only did Crystal help answer all my questions, she went above and beyond. She encouraged me to make a claim to fix my screen- something that I thought would be too expensive. She then took extra time to help me go through products she thought would fit my needs. She is an excellent example of what cell provider companies should have in their employees, friendly, knowledge, and helpful. Whenever I need another Verizon product, I'll be making sure Crystal is working before i go in! PS - this isn't important but her nails matched her uniform and i thought that was a fantastic touch! read more

Poor customer Service and security guard was very rude I'll take my business to another carrier.

I went in to upgrade 2 phones on my account, purposely went first thing when the store opened. There was no other customers but me. The Verizon rep Vanessa S was so rude, I questioned a invoice she printed out regarding the new devices and from there she became unresponsive. I asked if she can explain the remainder of the invoice she provided she then stated "I thought you where reading it" none the less everything after was non communication. The rep did not explain nothing other then these are the boxes to send your devices back. She put both phones (boxes) in a bag after taking pictures of the barcodes of the boxes and I left. I leave the store, realize when I am home she gave me the wrong color of phone. Over all DO NOT DO NOT go to this Verizon store at commerce. It's so sad the customer service they provide to customers who are willing to spend money with there services. read more

If I could give this place zero stars i would. I can't do it because it won't let me leave this terrible review for this store. We were DECEIVED and LIED to when performing changes to the wireless account. We went to the store to fix an issue with a couple of the devices on the account. An employee by the name of DAVID assured us he would be able to fix the issue without fail and restore my insurance coverage on all my devices that I had active. The issue was never fixed and upon returning to the store and providing text message proof to the employee and store manager, they stated that they could not fix anything and that my insurance coverage could not be re added. I've been a customer of Verizon for almost 15 yrs and not once had I been unsatisfied until now. I guess loyalty and thousand of dollars spent mean nothing because they failed to even offer an alternative or resolution. I asked to have someone higher than the store manager look into my situation and was denied the request. I highly recommend you do not come here. I would rather drive in traffic than go to this Verizon & it's waking distance. Went in for a store pick up (e-mail said it would take 2-3 hours to be ready) went in after waiting the time & was told it wasn't ready. Then the salesman Sergio kept insisting that we purchase one in store & let the in store pick up cancel itself. Which I should have watched out for cause he clearly only cared about getting his sale in store & even tried to charge us over what was quoted in the email. After an hour 1/2 apparently they thought it was fraud since he tried to upload another credit app he then gave the nastiest attitude & just got up & walked away with no explanation. I had to get up & tell the manager to finish the sale cause Sergio was so unprofessional. After they noticed things were going south they THEN processed the original in store pick up & said it was ready!!!! Save yourself the time & go to another Verizon in the area. read more

Horrible customer service. Considering I used to be a manager at a Verizon store, I understand what it takes to keep a customer happy. The first rep helped us out to buy a new phone and said he was unable to help us set up the phone because he had other clients waiting. This isn't all that bad though because I understand what it's like to have a busy store and clients waiting. He allowed us to stay and set up the phone on our own. After a minute or two the second rep, claiming he was a manager, came in and told us he was going to charge us $40 for setting up our own phone in his store. Didn't offer any help in any way shape or form but wanted payment for sitting in his store. Absolutely ridiculous. The bar has been set very low for customer service coming from a MANAGER. read more

Ok so I'm done with Verizon and I'm trying to close my acct. I'm obvious feed up and an unhappy customer who's frustrated beyond repair. I walk into this store and there are NO OTHER CUSTOMERS. I ask for help closing my acct. I've been putting this off for weeks because I'm so irritated and have no patience with calling and punching in buttons and being on hold. The young lady at this store was unwilling to help me with the phone call. She says she can't speak on my behalf. I happen to know this is not true because there's a store in Long Beach that has helping me in the past. They will call with me and when the times comes they will verify that's it me. So I'm going to drive to that store and ask that manager to plz help me close this acct. At least I know of one person in one store that understands the true meaning of customer service. read more

This place is absolutely criminal in their behavior especially the female manager who refused to help a elderly African American woman as she was collapsing from heat exhaustion in front of the storefront .... fortunately for her my father helped her stabilize as the Verizon employees stated matter of factly that they could not give this woman who was pleading for help a chair ..... they even went as far as saying she might be a drug addict as they vacillated and made bullshit excuses not taking into account that it's 100 degrees outside and her advanced age..... the manager was called and she turned and walked away not giving a damn about a woman walking by her store ...... read more

If it was up to me, I would not give any stars at all. My experiences with Verizon has been unpleasant. One experience was with a sales associate who changed my phone plan without my consent. (This was a year ago) I visited this location today to see why I was being charged so much. I spoke to Ryan about this and he explained why; a past due amount, charge for switching phone plans, etc. Well it turns out that the person who previously helped me failed to mention that there would be a monthly payment for a hotspot device. He said it was included in my plan. That is why I got the device. So now I'll be charged $20/month on my phone bill and it's a 2 yr contract. I had 14 days to turn the device in. It's now past the 14 days so I will be charged $175 for the cancellation fee. I explained to Ryan that the person who helped me, did not mention any of the information to me and that I would have to pay the $175. I was so enraged and still am! I know you guys get commission for selling products, but let the customers know. So thanks Fernando and Ryan for all of your help. And this is sarcasm by the way. read more

I purchased a mobile hotspot from Verizon. I'm happy with the device, my plan, and the convenience of having Internet access virtually anywhere I travel. However, I had issues with setting up autopay and creating an online account. The online process was frustrating. I visited in person to try to get things straightened out. The person who helped me was very patient, helpful, and took ownership of the situation. It involved calling their support (in India), I believe, since I spoke with the representative a few times. It took maybe 20-30 minutes, but all through this time, she was professional and helpful. It was likely a software glitch on their part. This review is for the fantastic customer support. Being this is the closest store to my work, I stop by here once in a while to get some services done. Usually, I go in and they take care of me pretty quickly, as I usually swap new phones every few months and I physically have to go there to get a new 4g LTE sim card for the phone. The last time I went to switch to the Iphone 5, it took about 1.5 hours to get my phone switched. The girl that helped me, had a very difficult time getting the phone activated and I believe she wasn't too familiar on how to bypass the activation. The phone was purchased from eBay as brand new, sealed but I think the person that sold it had activated a line but decided to sell the phone for money and didn't properly release the phone. The girl eventually got it activated by asking the manager to help her do it. They had to hook the Iphone 5 up to a wifi hotspot that the manager setup, in order to bypass it. The manager didn't say anything and I was just standing there waiting and trying to see how much longer it would be. He just finished doing it and walked away, not saying a word. The location is pretty easy to find and there is ample amount of parking on both sides of the store. You'll get decent service but I"m not sure how fast you'll get out here though. read more

I visited this location earlier today and was greeted immediately. I sat and waited a few minutes before being called to the desk. Miss Maria assisted me and was very knowledgeable with her products. Miss Maria made me feel comfortable with the decision I made on the phone. I did not feel pressured into purchasing other phones and accessories I wasn't looking for. Miss Maria was very patient with me as I asked multiple questions regarding the product. I absolutely LOVE the Mophie Juice Pack that was suggested for my phone.
