We got Frontier fiber installed back in December 2025. But since the line is across the street they had to run it through the air across the street, tie it to one of my trees and then drape it diagonally across my front lawn about 250 ft to my house. It was fine when the snow was on the ground but I've been having to move it around each time I mow my lawn now. I've called them repeatedly to have them bury the line and they've given me three dates now that came and went, and aside from the initial visit, where they texted me saying they couldn't bury the line because of snow, the other two dates came and went without giving me a reason. I've been calling them every month now having them give me full credit for each month the job remains unfinished. read more

1/5 -- ABSOLUTELY AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. AVOID FRONTIER. Frontier has easily been one of the most frustrating companies I have ever dealt with. Getting an actual person on the phone is nearly impossible. Their automated system forces you through endless menus and loops, and somehow still manages to hang up on you. It honestly feels like their customer service system is intentionally designed to prevent customers from reaching a real person. After canceling my internet service, I paid my final bill and restocking fee. I returned the equipment I actually received. I already owned and used my own personal router, so the only Frontier equipment I received was the Eero device. I NEVER received or used the additional router they are now trying to charge me for. Despite this, Frontier continues billing me for equipment that was NEVER PROVIDED TO ME. Because reaching someone by phone is such a nightmare, I have had to contact multiple agents through their online portal. I explained the situation repeatedly. Multiple Frontier representatives told me I did NOT owe anything else. I was given case numbers and was specifically told the issue had been RESOLVED. Yet Frontier still sent me ANOTHER BILL. What exactly is the point of giving customers case numbers and telling them an issue has been resolved if Frontier is just going to ignore the resolution and continue billing them anyway? This is beyond poor customer service. It is an exhausting cycle of automated phone systems, repeated explanations, conflicting billing, empty promises, and charges for equipment I never even received. If you are considering Frontier, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. Saving yourself from this level of frustration is worth it. AVOID FRONTIER AT ALL COSTS. read more

Anyone thinking about switching to Frontier (by Verizon)? Do yourself a favor and don't. We switched to Frontier (by Verizon). What's mess. Worked for several months. Then out of the blue, zero services - no Internet (we have jobs and kids who need access for school) and since TV came over the line, none of that either. Every morning, noon and evening I'd get a text saying restoration of service by X (i.e. 4pm the same day). After a day or two that showed itself to be a straight lie. No human to talk to on the phone, either. This baiting fraud went on for two weeks until we switched back to Spectrum. They owed me $7.01 per their recurring bill and kept it for months and months instead of just sending me a check. Eventually they sent a prepaid MasterCard I never requested containing my $7.01 which, if I activated, screwed me over with annual fees, etc. I finally got in touch with someone in the Philippines who said they'd send me a check; haven't gotten it yet - been about a week. Frontier is about the worst company with which i've had the displeasure of doing business. Shady and unfair business practices at every turn, in my view. I am having an absolutely terrible experience trying to get internet set up at our home, and unfortunately, we have very limited provider options. I originally ordered service on March 31st... and it's been a mess ever since. I've had multiple appointments confirmed, all requiring someone to be home for a 4-hour window, and not a single technician has shown up. I call the day before, the day of, and each time I'm assured someone is coming, only for no one to arrive. The number of hours I've spent waiting around and on the phone (over an hour today) is honestly unbelievable (and not in a good way). What's even more frustrating is the lack of communication and coordination, internally, they don't even seem aligned on what's happening. I received a promo for free 3 months and a $100 visa GC if I signed up. Such a great deal why not! Fyi: not worth your time. I signed up and schedule a fiber optic install date. The date comes by and no one shows up. Few days later the installer comes, fortunately I was home and was able to let them do their thing. After it was installed the person stated that now a frontier tech will schedule an appointment to install the service. The tech that came and installed the service was great. He was quick and able to help troubleshoot some other issue I was having with my network switch. I receive a notified that I have my first payment coming up. Wait I thought I got 3 months free? I hit up the live chat and they stated they can't do anything about it and to call frontier. I call frontier and it took over 1 hour to receive a live person. I mention to them that I was suppose to get 3 months free and they looked into it and decided to credit my account for this billing. They then stated for the next 2 billing cycles to get credit I would have to CALL again each time for them to apply the promo. I signed up for 3 months free and I have to call each time to have them apply the credit? They said thats just how it is. Internet so far reliable and quick. Customer service - TERRIBLE. If I knew I had to call every time for credit I wouldn't have signed up. I believe. Now i'm locked into a year service or else I would have to pay termination fees. When Frontier's fiber service became available in our neighborhood, I was one of the first to sign up. It hasn't disappointed. The download speeds are at or near the promised 1 GB, what makes fiber different is the upload speed is also identical. I did hesitate becoming a Frontier customer given their past reputation for poor customer service, but that hasn't been my experience. I've had service techs visit me twice, both on time and successful with their service. Price point is a bIt higher than the competing cable service (then again, you kinda have to get their cell service to get the best deal). I started Frontier Communications service for a rental property that was supposed to be month to month. I was told it was montht to month and no early termination, no restocking fee if I send in the equipment after usafge. For the last 2 months, Frontier has been sending me an Early Termination Fee of $66.30, plus restocking fee of $50.00, plus tax and other charges, totaling $120.88. Now theyr have threatened me with collections and reporting me to the Credit Bureaus. I have had a really hard time being given the run around trying to remove these charges. Baltazar was terrible. He came to our home trying to pitch his sale. He then scheduled a day to set this new internet system when I told him we already have one. He was like I can get it cheaper and I told him we only pay 40 dollars. I called later saying my husband said no and he said "what does that matter." He also said that I stated that we are paying 80 for our current one and I said no. He said " no you told me 80." Why would I lie on what we pay. I felt frustrated when talking to him to cancel. I have had the service for just 12 days shy of a year. Up to this point no problems until today. Internet went down during work hours. Only communication is a chat service. Set up date for tech to come out and replace my modem and is two weeks out. I work remotely and they would do nothing to help. Service tech came Tuesday and replace ONT box. Internet stopped working again 2 hours after he left. Called customer support 4x this week and they troubleshoot the same way finding no issues. I told them to send a tech out and had one scheduled 9/11. He never came and they set our ticket as resolved. Every time I'm on the phone with someone for over an hour. The guy I talked to today spent over an hour troubleshooting and found no issues.... When I am literally getting dropped while I'm wired directly into the ONT and getting 300x2 speeds. He said he couldn't send a tech out unless we upgrade to 2G circuit.... Scammers We're getting drops constantly throughout the day for hours at a time. Unusable while I'm trying to work. No technicians work on the weekend, so if a piece of equipment goes out on a friday, you are screwed until sometime the next week. Without internet now for 4 days and it would have been worse if I didn't call and keep hounding them to change it sooner. I have asked over and over again to be put on a don't call list. and when I asked to be put on the list they are rude and like to argue with you. I was told I had to wait 30 DAYS for the phone calls to stop. so I called the corporate number and asked to be put on the do not call list and was told I would not receive any phone calls after 24-48 hours. that time has passed and I'm still getting phone calls. Frontier & Verizon are the Worst internet providers. Through most of December & January our Fiber internet kept going down each day for hours.I upgraded my plan in hopes that would help. That actually made my service get worse. I was frustrated and called to cancel my plan on 2/10/2026- I had requested a refund of all the time my service was down and was asked to call back after my service was cancelled. I had paid my last bill with them on 02/04/2026 in the amount of $109.99 and returned my equipment. Now they are billing me again after I cancelled my service on 2/10/2026 in the amount of $141.25 they said it's a valid charge and that the refund was already applied. It wont let me pay on line or via their pmt center. "unable to process". Spent 45 minutes trying to reach a live person---they just send me from cust service robot to pmt center robot and they continue to send me ack and forth to each other.
