I overlooked it because well, I just needed a charger and I'm not even a Metro customer so what do I care right? Fast forward a day and my family member didn't need the charger. Great, I didn't even open it so I can return within 14 days right? Wrong apparently. I returned the following weekend, walked in and was greeted (barely) by an employee who didn't seem to want to help me, he looked over at the female manager, didn't get her name, to which she said she wasn't going to do his work for him and he had to do it. She reminded him that it could only be exchanged for store credit not returned. I told them I'm not even a metro customer why would I want store credit. She was very nonchalant and said that's our policy. I went to my car and read the fine print of my receipt which does not state that. I returned and told them that but she said there's nothing I can do that's our policy. Well, not according to my receipt it's not, nor was I informed of this when I purchased. I filed a complaint with corporate. I attached their return policy to this post so you can see for yourself. I cannot believe this. Well, actually I can because what can you expect from a company like this with employees that look like they barely passed high school and never grew up or got a real job?

Ubiquiti had a solid reputation for quality and reliability, so I went about finding someone who handled their products. Yelp was a great resource and I narrowed down my choices to LA Wifi Guys, as their information gave me the most confidence. Made an appointment and David came out. Really liked his approach. Honest and transparent and not hustling me for upsells. He described my options clearly and it was easy to decide what I wanted. Not cheap, but very fair considering the higher quality solution and more experienced installation. It actually cost notably less than my original set up, which was done 6 years ago and had less features and most of all turned out crappy. David gave me an estimate for parts delivery, which turned out to be exact, and we made the install appointment for the day after. He came in and was very polite, careful and steadfast. He also was great at explaining how to operate my new system. But most of all, weeks after the install, I am sooo happy with it! Really great setup with excellent user interface and excellent camera resolution. Very professional! We had them to replace our HOA's old camera system installed by other vendor, which no longer functioned after the warranty expiration. They troubleshoot and replaced couple old wires, all new cameras are now functioning. The new cameras provide much better resolution. We are very happy with their service. read more

Job was done quick and easy in less than 2 hours. Aside from making a hole in the wall for the ethernet port placement, no additional breakage of the wall was necessary. Ricardo did say that in some cases, depending on the walling and roofs, breakage of the wall would be necessary for some people, but not mine fortunately. Ricardo and is colleague were awesome, professional yet friendly and personable. They cleaned up after themselves and did an overall fantastic job to make any streaks or scrapes anywhere.
