This review is for Spectrum as a whole. For those who might not know, Internet service is pay per month. So if you cancel your service on the 29th and the billing cycle began on the 28th, the day before, you will still be charged the full month's amount regardless of usage. Hopefully this saves someone a needless payment in the future. In the same spirit, when service is interrupted by outages, you're also charged the same amount. Greedy corporation. read more

My experience with Spectrum has been positive overall. Every time I had an issue or question, they were able to resolve it. I prefer coming in to speak with someone in person rather than spending time trying to figure things out online. However, when I came in to activate my newly purchased iPhone, the service representative asked if I wanted to add insurance through them. I specifically declined, but they activated it anyway without my knowledge. I didn't realize what had happened until a few months later after taking a closer look at my bill. I've read online that Spectrum incentives employees to up-sell. There's no repercussion as the questioning the charges become a "he said, she said" conversation. My point is check your billing immediately when you get home, as there's not necessarily a print out for you. read more

Customer service is okay at this location. Sometimes they don't have certain devices in stock or they don't carry them in the store at all. Definitely make an appointment if you can because the wait can be extensive. The cellular service is just as good as other major carriers. Affordable prices when bundled. I don't like that you can't use the full data you pay for each month when you use your phone's hotspot. You get significantly reduced speeds (600kbps) after 5gb of hotspot use even though you pay for 30gb per month with their unlimited plan of $30 per month. Their cable service is good, but the prices fluctuate pretty often and deals are hard to come by even though they tell you to check in on current deals once yours expires. There are also a lot of sporting events that you can't watch because of constant corporate squabbles leading to contractual disagreements which affect Dodgers and Lakers games. Overall, I'd recommend the service since they seem to be making more improvement each year. read more

This place has no sense of urgency. I waited about 1 hour and 40 mins. Alexis, im assuming must be a manager because he was walking around not helping in any way. Especially considering the amount of people waiting and the time it was taking to service people. He couldn't help make the lines go faster but he had time to walk up and change the channel while we were watching a show. I hate having Spectrum and was finally so happy to finally be able to cancel. All I needed to do was return their modem so I came here to do so. They have a check in machine at the front and a lot of floor reps helping customers but the wait felt horrendous. Not sure if it's because we could select why we came in and we had selected cancellation, but it felt abnormally suspicious that right when it came to us being next, we had to wait extra. We saw multiple reps finish helping their prior customers and instead of taking the next person (us) they would go on their phones or start talking to the rep next to them or join in on their conversation. We had to wait a good 15 minutes til we were called even though 3 reps were free doing nothing. Maybe on their break? One of them did leave to go to another room, but the other 3 were just idling around in the store instead of leaving to a break room, which made us feel purposely neglected. Of course after we were finally called, the other reps IMMEDIATELY started calling for the people after us. Very sus, but maybe we're overthinking. Still doesn't look good to have breaks on the floor and see empty reps while there's a huge queue in the waiting area. All I can say is I'm glad to finally be done with spectrum and their ridiculous pricing and unstable service. Made sure to get a confirmation of the modem return. They try to be professional but - it's always crowded and their check-in system on a computer is not helpful. Try using a live person at the front to answer and resolve simple issues and not making people wait for 20 minutes for simple answers.... I wish I could give a "no star" rating as that is what Spectrum deserves. Over the four years as my internet provider, they would increase my monthly plan without any warning and the customer service experience was repeatedly poor. I decided to cancel my service after they once again increased the monthly fee. I logged into my online account to discontinue service and was informed I needed to call by phone in order to do so. The phone agent kept me on the line for over 30 minutes trying to convince me not to end my internet service, what a waste of my time and a dirty trick on their part. Avoid this store at all costs unless you enjoy having your time wasted. Only three reps helped out customers while the other reps and management were literally just chatting with each other while the line kept getting longer. In the two hours that I was there I witnessed three customers get frustrated and leave. Oh and the only time management talked to a customer was to hit on her. I came in here to swap my equipment out for a new set but apparently the rep could not process that simple request and they said I had to call Spectrum...I mean wth I'm here at a spectrum. This place is understaffed and a lot of things can be automated (bill pay or returning or picking up equipment). They can also increase the number of workers so that the employees aren't so stressed and the customers don't have to wait for so long. I recommend setting up an appointment rather than doing a walk-in. read more

The store is located next to Starbucks and Yogurtland facing Atlantic Blvd. within the busy Atlantic Square. It is spacious inside with a self pay kiosk. I made an appointment online for the opening time two days in advance. I tried to call the store the day before to confirm if they had what I needed to pick up. The store does not have a direct phone number and all calls are routed to customer service. Customer service is unable to check store equipment availability so you have to hope they have what you're looking for when you go. I arrived a few minutes before opening and was already fifth in line. The employee who opened the door did not ask people to sign in and let people rush to the counter to be helped. I made my appointment in hopes that I could go in and out quickly but they did not honor my appointment and helped the walk-ins first. When I was finally helped, the employee seemed annoyed to be there and was not friendly. The employee got my equipment, aggressively dumped cables in a bag, and I was on my way. Plexiglass was available at the counters but no hand sanitizer was in sight anywhere. read more

Personally I have good experiences with both Spectrum phone support and walk in at this particular store, maybe I didn't hit their peak hours. On 2 occasions, Spectrum phone support was able to pick up my calls within 6 minutes and almost right away to address the issue with my new Spectrum set-top boxes, and I was able to swap the old boxes with new ones at this store without any problems. I was helped by a lady who was simple sweet and quick. Came to pick up a modem. Juan was informative however cold and not welcoming. I wanted to switch my names of the service at my house and he needed the other person there... which I understand completely however his delivery wasn't pleasing. Then I had a simple question to confirm the WiFi working however he went straight to say I can't answer that because that is a technician's job. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE! I went in to trade my mom's equipment and even after giving them the address, the rep put the equipment under my home address. I then had to return the next day to fix the issue only to get another rep who was such a jerk. I usually don't get upset with employees but this guy was so rude. I asked him to fix the issue and his response was that he was not tech support. They can screw up your account but don't have the capability to fix it. This place does not have good service just to pay our bill took more then 30 minutes their kiosk machine was not available to use, they need to improve ways of making a payments, like have a specific line just for paying bills and customer service's. Be very weary of sales reps knocking door to door. They will sell the world and leave you hanging on the back end. Carlos.h.gonzalez@charter.com signed me up and it was a nightmare cost me money on the backend cancelling the service. I have AT&T currently and the area manager was very competent and I currently run my service with them . Escalation to customer retention is who you need to speak to and be aware although they are called customer retention they also close the accounts. Very disappointing to the area sales manager and escalation team that just used the checked off verification on a tablet from the door to door salesperson and an email that regardless if you open or not will be held as legal support against you. Spectrum calls will not come to you from a labeled spectrum phone number and they will document the failed call knowing we are spammed daily with random calls and don't answer. My cellular phone did not work (626)xxx-8686. I called Spectrum, some agents were willing to help and some were not. I talked to the good ones to get help. Eventually I got the new Sim Card, inserted myself with the help of Spectrum agent, and called again to get it activated and connected. I really like the guy who helped me activated my phone and made sure it is working. I avoid Spectrum Store especially the one in Alhambra CA, my previous experience was if they could not make money they did not help at all. I hope Spectrum check the recording line and give prize to good ones and punishment to bad ones. read more

Saw the 1.5 stars and figured what I want is pretty simple, should have no issues as long as I'm clear about what I want. The moment Cynthia Gonzales opened her mouth, I knew she was going to give me a hard time. The attitude was bad already and yet I still continued to ask for what I needed. (stupid me) At the end, I walked out the store with nothing but boiling blood. Seriously, save yourself the trip unless you HAVE TO go in and call customer service instead. Came in today to pick up my equipment to set up my wifi at home. I arrived after setting an appointment yesterday and arrived at the facility only to be told that they didn't have equipment at this location. Why approve my appointment only to be dissatisfied. They're also not enforcing social distancing protocols. People are not standing 6 feet apart. There's a sign that states only 14 people at a time while inside and people are not following the rules. They're short staff which is taking a toll on their customer service. read more
