I have three elderly relatives went there getting new lines for three phones. there's one female employee there and told us that they have elderly discount just $20 for each line. We paid $60 for three line and we went home , then we found out all three phones can't make calls or receiving calls. on the other day we went back to the store trying to find out the issues. The female employee there told us that our phones are 3g network which sometimes can't compatible with cricket, so she help us reactivated 2 lines. When we trying to reactivate the third line, the female employee told us that we just opened 2 new lines which is $30 for each line. We trying to request for refund, the female employee there told us that there's no way to refund us and telling us to leave the store. WTH!!!!!! scamming money from the ignorance old people. How could you do that!!!!!!! Damit!!!! please, let me know if there's anyway to get the money back. The young female worker Yun is poorly trained and not knowledgeable. Her supervisor should be blamed. I noticed that there is a $3 charge for "service plan protection" on my invoice for a phone upgrade, which was not told to me in advance. First she told me not to look at that and that it was irrelevant. Then I found out that this charge was included in the invoice total and asked her whether this charge was recurring. She said this was a one-time charge. I asked her whether she had any brochure or flyer explaining this service plan. She said no. She said there is a 1-month "thing" but she was not sure what exactly it was and _guessed_ that if I broke the phone within a month, I could have it replaced for free. Later on, I called Cricket's 8002742538 number in an attempt to find out. Cricket's stupid voice recognition program just recycled a bunch of menu items but failed to understand what I said. Finally I said "Representative" and it purported to transfer to some humans but then it again asked me to input some number and transferred back to that idiotic robot. CRICKET SUCKS. Subsequently I went to Cricket's web site, which seems to say that the Cricket Protect plan has a monthly charge. No one ever told me how much exactly the monthly charge was (the $3 probably is a prorated amount) and how long they would charge me. And no one ever got my consent and explained to me what it was. Yun asked me to give her a score of 10 when I received a survey call about her service; money would be deducted from her wages even if I gave her a 9. Well, I don't think she, her supervisor/manager, and Cricket deserve even a 9. The store is also poorly run. About a dozen phones were on display but none of them seemed to work. And no model info was displayed next to the phone. I tried to take a look of what the phone I planned to buy was like but had to give up. Yun did not have any clue either except saying that it would be like my old phone. Those display phones are there to collect dust, I think. read more

Excellent Customer Service! I've encountered some problems with my "hand-me-down" Samsung Galaxy S4 [which was originally our daughter's and branded for Verizon]. So we are clear, these problems are NOT Cricket's fault, but are the phone's. Tip # 1: Hanging on to your old phone when switching network providers may not be such a good idea. The issue is compatibility. I'm not a techno expert, so I'll try to explain this in really simple terms, as if I was talking to my own mother. Different wireless network carriers operate on different signals. Think of AM vs. FM radio. My smartphone was built for Verizon [which, let's say receives/transmits on an AM frequency.] But, Cricket/AT&T uses FM. Just switching out a SIM card from Verizon to Cricket is not enough. My phone works, but not up to its full potential. The phone still has circuitry hard-wired to behave like a Verizon phone. Our daughters both got brand new Samsung Galaxy S5. These phone were built for or branded for Cricket. Their phones work fine and they don't have the same problems like Mom and Dad's hand-me-downs do. They can text and send photos effortlessly. While their parents can't. We're walking around the house for a stronger signal and often have to go outside too, just to find a "sweet spot" to transmit. The Samsung S4 seems to have some design quirks that have surfaced after years of usage. Tip # 2: A while ago, my phone kept telling me I had a new voice mail message. [My own phone was dialing itself and triggering this false alert.] There were no actual messages to retrieve and/or delete. I just had to keep deleting these bogus notifications. I found the solution myself online. [Thank God for some smart and helpful people out there in cyberspace that have experienced the same problem and shared their reliable solutions.] Tip # 3: The second quirk started a few months ago, I kept getting this notification that Google Play Services was not working properly and this annoying message would pop up every 3 seconds. This annoyance made it very difficult to normally use my phone as intended and often caused the phone to temporarily freeze-up. There seemed to be nothing that I could do to get rid of it. [Except, stomp on it and then buy a new smartphone.] Eventually, I just did a "factory reset" [however, before you do that, screen shot important messages and then transfer any photos worth saving to a PC, laptop, etc.]. You'll lose all of your contacts too, so be sure to save important phone numbers, etc. and then re-enter them later. The reset successfully got rid of the 2nd quirk, but I lost my previously downloaded Cricket apps. [The phone reverted back to thinking it was a Verizon phone. A call to voicemail went to Verizon and as expected, was useless since we no longer had an active account with them. I had to download and re-install the Cricket app to my phone. Murphy's Law [whatever can go wrong, will go wrong] seemed to be my curse. I could not successfully get my voicemail re-established. [Here's where "Customer Service" is so important.] Eva, a helpful salesperson at Cricket - Monterey Park # 1, quickly diagnosed that I was not getting an internet connection, so she restored an A.P.N. to my phone. [This service was performed "free-of-charge".] Unfortunately, this wasn't enough to remedy my voicemail issue. Something more technical was the underlying problem. Eva gave me their other store's address, if I wanted to see Mark [who was promoted to Store Mgr.], who knew more tricks-of-the-trade. At Cricket - M.P. # 2, I met Mark and another helpful salesperson, Irene. Picking up where Eva left off, the plan was to contact Cricket's Customer Service to "reactivate" my voicemail account. This simple goal proved to be quite time-consuming and involved several calls and call-backs to execute different fixes. Not only did they eventually succeed, but Cricket was also able to boost my weak signal strength, which has helped me greatly in sending texts. Would the staff at your wireless network carrier give a half-hour to one-hour of their valuable time to assist you, free-of-charge, to solve your problems? More than likely, salespeople would simply tell you there's nothing they can do [except sell you a new phone]. Thank you again, to Eva, Mark, and Irene. Your level of customer service is exemplary and why our family will stay with Cricket! read more

our first experience with the store was good. transferring was easy and fast. however, despite that - it has been a nightmare working with this store and cricket wireless. we switched 5 lines from t-mobile back in December 2015, and 4 months passed the rebates haven't arrived yet. btw, we paid all the activation/sim card fees but when one of the line holders went back to get a new cell the day after the cards were activated, she was charged another fee... hm... weird. ok, regarding the rebates... we called Cricket customer service and were told that no rebates posted to our accounts and were told to contact the store where we opened our lines directly. we called this store and the guy (A) promised to investigate and call us back soon. we waited for a few hours, no one called back so we called the store again and he promised to call back within an hour. we went to the store in person and there was only one guy there, finishing up his snacks and unaware of the situation. so we told him the entire story all over again. to his merit, he did a research on it patiently. unfortunately, nothing was resolved. another guy (A) came out and told us he'll call us the next day. Next day arrived and of course A never called back. we called Cricket Wireless's Rebate department directly and was told that there was a wrong address attached to our rebate (which is not the address for our account). Was that address entered by the store to get our rebate?! not sure but it's definitely a nightmare... i won't type all the details about the call as an attempt to resolve the problems now. but as for this store, i'd not suggest going there again. for your information, this guy A never ever called back despite 3 promises to do so in the past few days.
