I was on a work trip and my phone decided that it wanted to put itself out of its own misery. Thankfully this store was very close to where I was and I was able to sneak in, grab a new phone, and make my way out the door in time for my work event in just over an hour. It's a funky store, that's for sure. It's a big open space that looks weird but we aren't here to window shop, we are here to get our phones taken care of. My phone took a long time to transfer all my info from the old phone to the new one (I had a lot of pictures etc) but other people were flying in and out of the store. I'm a digital hoarder, I suppose. Either way, they did a great job and if I lived in LA I'd certainly come back... but I don't. read more

My friend recently visited this AT&T store and was taken advantage of by Ivon P. He assured her that she would not be charged for the extra line he opened. He swore up and down that her bill would be cheaper even when she clearly was doubting it. The bill ended up increasing by like 80 dollars. This experience was predatory. This issue was reported. I recently visited an AT&T store and was not informed that opening an additional line would result in an activation fee. Ivon P. assured me that I would not be charged for the extra line he opened--one that I did not want and did not need. When I returned the following day to question the charge, Jessika told me it was due to a phone upgrade, which was untrue. She then stated that in order to receive the 25% first responder discount, I needed to open another line. I clearly explained that I did not want an additional line, but despite this, she proceeded to add it anyway. This experience felt misleading and unprofessional, seemingly driven by commission incentives. I reported the incident and was eventually refunded. Corporate confirmed that employees do this to get commission. I do not recommend visiting this store. read more

This AT&T store is the worst store E.V.E.R.! The employees that are staffed there don't have the right information,they are slow and poorly trained ! The only thing they worry about is making a sale so they can get there cut of money. I'm a 5 minute walk from that store and I would rather get in my car and drive to the ELA location and get the service that should be getting. Rep Fernando straight up lied about my bill . About a year ago he added a phone line to my plan with out me knowing when all I wanted was to upgrade my phone . Asked him for paper work on the transaction and he said he was unable to print stuff out due to the printer being broken . So fast word to a month later or so later I'm being billed for a totally new line ! 9 months later I'm still trying to get that number off my bill cuz they just keep saying it's gonna get taken out at the next billing cycle and it never seems to go away read more

The worst customer service imaginable! I have purchased at least 10 iPhones and an iPad from this location... never again. I came in to upgraded to 2 new phones!!! there's 4 employees, 2 with customers and 2 on the phone.. possibly with clients, maybe. After sitting around for 15 minutes, no acknowledgment of my presence, no waitlist I could see, I asked if I was in the right place for customer service, they said yes. Ok.... 20 minutes later, staff walking around, they didn't look busy, I asked if there was an estimate on my wait.. they said about another 30 minutes. Stay away from this location, seriously. Absolute nightmare with this store. I created an account to transfer existing lines to be under my name, only for there to be an unauthorized number added and the phone plans wrong. It took over 3 weeks of back and forth online, on the phone, and with another AT&T store to help me fix all the problems they created. Even going in person and talking to the manager didn't help. The other AT&T store that was actually helping me had no idea why they did what did. I wouldn't doubt if there was some fraudulent stuff going on here. Never go to this store. read more

Worst service ever, only 2 people working and a line that takes just as long as a Disney ride. I purchased a wireless charging base in 2020 (still warrantied) and of course they no longer carry the identical AT&T brand charger. Was told because there's no item matching my 2020 purchase theres nothing that could be done. Then was told this particular store is no longer a CORE store and can't call another AT&T store to find out if ones is available?? If your not a CORE store then stop wearing the AT&T logo shirt hmmm. I really don't understand that concept, then asked manager Mirsa or Marissa who gave me some story she could not check/call other stores, inquire if the identical item was available and the stores will not give out any information if available. She then stated "its against Policy".... At this point I was upset and still No Solution presented I demanded to be presented with something almost identical (2 bank charger on a single plate), well this store does not carry any double charger available and maybe it's due to the fact there not a CORE store?? While waiting for any chargers to be presented I telephoned the Downey AT&T "CORE" store and inquired about a charger and to my not surprise a CSR "Who I placed the call on speaker" related they have a double charger available. And here I thought there's a "Policy" to not give information about accessories over the phone!!! I was also told it was not a AT&T charger but another brand (forgot the name), and would have to be ordered. Well I didn't have time and driving to Downey was just out of my way. Finally I was presented with a item that has 2 separate chargers/plates and nothing like what I bought in 2020.. However at this point I need a charging base and settled with the 2 singular chargers ughh. Moreover, I will never go back to this store and will travel to either Downey where it's an actual AT&T store!! This is not my first incident with store their customer service is just plain HORRIBLE and has been like this prior to COVID, NO Excuses other then they need Training!!! You call your friend they can't hear you your call drops and all is lost for now that is. So when that happens with a friend of yours who happens to work at a phone store you go see them and fix the problem! I've known Felipe for a few years he is a good friend and always willing to help anyway he can including phone issues. Over the past few months I've had various issues with my service. I've called the corporate AT&T many times to try to fix these issues and was only pawned off on others only to have the issues still be at large. After speaking with Felipe about what was going on he said he could help me out and invited me to come by his store. It only took a handful of minutes for him to realize things were messed up in my account he quickly fixed the problems and provided the outstanding service that should have been provided to me when I made the calls to corporate to fix this earlier in the month. I would highly recommend coming to this location to fix any AT&T issues you might have ask for Felipe he actually cares and wants to get the job done right! read more

Not sure why they have posted hours of being open beginning at 10am when no one bothers to open the store at that time. This is my second attempt coming here at the same time with the same result. INCOMPETENT STAFF!!! I came to this location to upgrade my phone. The wait time was ridiculous. Finally a customer service rep by the name of Ernesto placed an order for what was supposed to be a gold iphone 8 (this location did not have it in stock). While still there, we received the email confirmation for a space grey iphone. We informed Ernesto of his mistake but he brushed it off and assured us that the gold phone would be the one shipped out to us. Sure enough, a week later we received a space grey iphone. I called this location to inform them of the mistake and they told me I can return the phone if I pay a restocking fee. You can imagine my frustration at this point. I tell them I'm not paying a restocking fee for a mistake their rep made. After being placed on hold, they informed me that the manager approved to waive the restocking fee. I then go in-store again to return the phone, wait for what seemed like an eternity again and have them order the correct phone. Since I had to wait another week for the new phone to arrive, the logical solution was to continue using the old iphone. That was the plan, until I realized after leaving the AT&T store, that the phone no longer had service because the 2nd rep who "helped" me had the service shut off somehow when placing the order for the new phone. I now called the AT&T store AGAIN and talked to the rep and informed him the service to the phone had been cut off. All he did was deny that he made any changes to the service on the phone. Seemed like a big coincidence since the service on the line was working perfectly fine until he placed the order to upgrade the phone. He did not offer to help or fix the problem, he just told me to go get a new SIM card. I obviously did not return to this location. That same day the staff at the Whittier location at the Whittwood Center were able to get the service up and running again and were way more professional and helpful. Do your self a favor, avoid this Montebello location, the service is terrible, the staff is incompetent and the wait times are ridiculous! read more

Based on the other reviews, it's clear that the staff and management is lacking deeply. My husband is at the store waiting for nearly an hour and sees that the manager sends two employees to lunch at 4:30 pm when the foot traffic picks up at that hour. I called the store and asked to speak with the manager to see what line of reasoning he was utilizing to send two employees to lunch at rush hour. He identifies himself as the manager and gives me his name as Rafael. I then ask him why he would send two not one person to lunch when you have people waiting for nearly an hour. He takes the most unprofessional tone with me and let's me have it. Instead of saying, we are doing the best we can. Sorry for the wait, he tells me this is my store and those two came in at 12:30 and it was time for them to eat. Unbelievable!!!!!! I hope someone in higher management sees this poor review and trains their staff to be problem solvers. Not combative!!!! Total fail if you ask me. Never again!!! Please be aware! This store is known for shady business. My friend had a tablet that he was looking to replace with a newer model. He went into the store and was helped by Yessica. She explained to him that he could save money by putting his tablet together on one account. Sounded great. Instead of moving the tablet line and upgrading, she promised to cancel the old tablet line for him and would add another line to his current account. Obviously, a better situation for the rep considering she'd be credited for adding a new line instead of just upgrading. Several months later, he gets notification that the line is still active and now he has a $100 bill. He went to them and the finally cancelled the line and she promised that when he got the last statement they would credit his account. False! After attempting to get it done several times and after dealing with jerk after jerk at this store he gave up and paid out of pocket for they're shadiness! If you're going to try and make yourself look great as a sales person don't screw people over in the process! read more

Never in my life have I had a fraud issue I even went out of my way to create a Yelp account so I could let AT&T corporate know about the fraud manager they have at this location. Her name is Mirsa! She added a new service line to my account without my consent. My bill went from 100 dollars to 500 dollars because of her! Corporate needs to investigate her! I already filled a complaint with corporate because of the fraud she did. Please stay away from this location this manager will add stuff to your account just for the commission. It's unfortunate I must even spend this amount of time leaving a poor review of the store manager's (Name: Mirsa) absolutely appalling behavior towards me this morning. I was sitting with another AT&T agent with plexi-glass between us, both of us wearing masks when Mirsa the manager comes over from about 30 feet away on the other side of the store, to ask me to put my mask over my nose. I chuckled and complied. I have a short beard and as I'm discussing my issue with the very helpful AT&T agent in front of me, my mask keeps creeping lower and slightly under my nose again apparently. I wasn't even paying attention to it as we are trying to resolve my technical issue with a device. Mirsa interrupts our conversation in an extremely rude manor "SIR! I AM NOT GOING TO ASK YOU AGAIN. PUT YOUR MASK OVER YOUR NOSE OR YOU WILL HAVE TO LEAVE." At that point I realize its just under the tip of my nose, I have not touched my mask, it's slimply creeping lower as I'm discussing my issue with the AT&T agent in front of me. He doesn't seem to have an issue at all and he's in close proximity to me but with a giant plastic shield between us. At that point I leave on principal because I nor anyone else should be treated that way, especially by an ill-trained retail store manager. I am a General Manager for a large manufacturer and I'm keenly aware that understanding customer service is paramount as a manager; It's a shame AT&T has such an unprofessional and rude person as their store manager.
