Buckle up--this wasn't just a delay, it was an ordeal... I rarely leave reviews anymore, but my experience at this Walgreens' photo department was so unacceptable that it warrants documenting. I submitted a photo order at 7:07 PM, and the confirmation email stated it would be ready by 8:15 PM. At 8:10 PM, I received another email saying there was a "delay," with no explanation, no updated ETA, and no further communication for the rest of the night. Because I needed the item for the following day, I waited. By 9:28 PM--nearly 2.5 hours past submission and an hour past the promised time--I called the store. A woman named Evelin answered, took my name, and said she would check on the order. I was placed on hold for 17 minutes. I could hear her helping other customers, talking to coworkers, and clearly forgetting I was even on the line. I eventually hung up and called back at 9:45 PM--only to have the call instantly hung up on. I called again at 9:46 PM and reached Bryant, who told me the order "was still printing" and asked whether I could come immediately since they close at 10 PM and would not be open tomorrow. While pulling up directions, another employee abruptly took the phone and asked, "How long until you get here?"--no greeting, no courtesy, just a rude, demanding tone. I said I'd arrive in 7 minutes. I got to the store at 9:58 PM and came face to face with that same employee, Andre. When I asked what information he needed, he stared at me for about 10 seconds, then said "I need your full name" without saying another word and a bored expression on his face. I gave him my name and told him I was the person he had spoken with on the phone. He walked to the photo area, and I followed. Only then did I find out the truth: the order was not printing at all. They hadn't even started it. I know this because the sticker on the print clearly showed a timestamp of 9:59 PM--one minute after I arrived. He had told me it was "still printing" when it hadn't been started at all. It took 18 minutes to complete the print. So after submitting the order at 7:07 PM--an order they promised would take about an hour--they didn't begin working on it until 9:59 PM, when I physically arrived at the store. The store was empty, it was a typical quiet Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving, and there was no legitimate reason for them to ignore the order. Instead of doing their job, they sent one vague "delay" email and then simply... stopped. No updates, no customer communication, no professionalism. In total, I waited: 2+ hours waiting past the original promised time 17 minutes on hold 3 minutes on the follow-up call 18 minutes in-store And not a single employee except Bryant showed even basic courtesy. Andre, in particular, was the rudest Walgreens employee I have ever encountered. His attitude, dismissiveness, and dishonesty were unacceptable. Whether he is a manager or simply acting like one, Walgreens Corporate needs to reevaluate who they allow to run their stores. The entire experience--from the lack of communication, to the forgotten phone call, to the lie about the order status, to the rude in-person interaction--was unprofessional, inconvenient, and extremely frustrating. Buckle up, this one is a long one The pharmacy told me last week that my prescription was ready. I don't live nearby but they are the only pharmacy that carries my medication. I have the app and I also received an email and call that I was good to go. I arrived and they told me they don't have it... they tell me to come back in 7 days. 10 days later I get a call saying my prescription is now ready for pick up and that they will only hold it for 3 more days. I make my way back and get to the pharmacy table and they are like we don't have this prescription ready for you. I was confused because they were blowing up my phone, text, email, and app notifications telling me to come now or they will cancel my prescription. They say it will take 30 minutes to fill and I ask if they can expedite the process since they informed me they do have stock of the medication and I was told that it would be ready upon arrival. Idk if I did something to upset Jasmyn but she was not rocking with me since the moment I stepped in line. She kept repeating "30 minutes" everytime I tried to speak. I literally could not get a word out so I just agreed and thanked her. I decided to run some other errands at the dollar tree nearby. The minute I was driving off the Walgreens lot, they give me a call back and tell me my medication is ready. I decided to continue going to dollar tree because I could not trust that it was truly ready if I stepped back inside so I wanted to give an extra 30 minutes. When I got back inside, I was met with Jasmyn again. She was totally not having it with me. I tried to use a coupon I got off of the Walgreens website for a discount on this specific prescription and she rudely interjected before I could even ask her if she could apply the coupon. She said "we don't take coupons here" and I was so confused because I got the coupon sent from Walgreens so I told her that I had retrieved the coupon from Walgreens. She again says "yeah we don't take coupons." I showed her my app and how I got the coupon in the first place because the medication was quite expensive and I wanted to cut as much cost at possible. She then says "I said we don't take coupons for controlled substances." Jaw on the floor. I was being gaslit. She did not say that at all, but me hating confrontation and being an extreme people pleaser, I apologized. I wanted to use my FSA/HSA card to pay and it was the first time I was trying to use it. It asked for my pin and I stumbled because I never set a pin. The pharmacist on the other side goes "what's going on over there" as if I were holding up a whole line when I had realistically not been at the window for more than 5 minutes at this point. Jasmyn shouts back "she keeps trying to use a coupon and I'm telling her we can't." I was already past the coupon. I was trying to pay and I had maybe been trying to figure out what to do with the pin for like 30 seconds!!!! Side note: the medication I was picking up was adderall. I have ADHD and they had already left me 10 days without any medication so you can only imagine my struggle to focus on the task at hand when I have 2 ladies talking about me as if I were not right there. It made me feel incompetent. I started to panic and ended up just Apple paying with my card out of pocket when I was too scared to ask Jasmyn how I could use my FSA/HSA card. This experience was not different from my first one. The first time I came to pick up my medication, the teller at the window was equally as miserable, but the male pharmacist was nice. This time, both the teller and pharmacist went out of their way to make things more complicated and uncomfortable. I'll probably look for a new pharmacy that carries my medication because I do not want to be ostracized every time I want to pick up something I need daily to function. This goes without saying: beware lol. They do not give a damn and have little to no empathy. If you have questions, ask AI. It will ensure that you get an answer that's not passive aggressive or condescending. And to Jasmyn, if you're reading this, please be patient. Not everyone who walks in knows the ins and outs of medication prescription and insurances. I'd hate for someone to come in looking to get their meds be treated the way I was. I think I was lucky with being fluent in English. God forbid someone comes in not speaking the language that Jasmyn speaks and she loses her patience with them. Do better!!!! read more

I first came to Walgreens to get my second Covid vaccine over a year ago and made reservations online since they have free parking and the location is close to home. My appointment was on time and I didn't have to wait long to get checked in. The pharmacists there are very nice from the times I've visited. I appreciate them sending me SMS reminders when I have a prescription ready for pick up or if there's going to be a delay. Picking up my medication is quick and easy. As a returning customer, they saved my primary card on file to quickly pay for medication I need. Well organized store that tends to be eclipsed by the slightly more popular CVS. One section of Walgreens that earns five stars is their photo department. I was very impressed by how easy it is to order prints online and via the Walgreens app. The orders are ready quickly and the price is quite competitive. The photos are printed out for you and carefully packaged which is a great advantage during this pandemic. Sign up for Walgreens email notifications to receive coupon codes that can be redeemed online particularly for the photo department. If you pay with your Apple credit card you receive 3% Apple cash back on each purchase. The only drawback is that this Walgreens closes early while the CVS down the block is open 24 hours. Today Saturday at approximately 5 pm I pressed the button for assistance in the first-aid section. I heard the voice in the loud speaker request customer assistance was needed. I visited one night (at 5am) to return an item (vitamin/supplement) and subsequently purchased sandwich bags and in those quick 5 minutes I have never felt like I was judged SO hard. Even given my medical scrubs I was wearing, the cashier took quick and *unreasonable* precautions by calling the manager because I wanted to a use a coupon (from the Walgreens Ad!!) on my phone. I was using the Walgreens app (you're lucky I even installed it if you're reading this .... marketing folks!) but I didn't "clip" their coupon on it. The cashier obviously took it as some coupon scam when I suggested using it on my phone (I have worked in the retail sector throughout college and grad school.... why would you page the manager for a simple transaction when the situation doesn't warrant a manager?) Hello- most retail sectors use coupons on the customers' phones from their apps... example- Kohls which is doing fantastic in the stock market right now (but never mind...that's because they take their own published coupons or maybe.. have better trained employees to not upset customers lol) So the manager came by, and I couldn't think of anything else but to walk over to get the paper ad and give it to her the coupon the old fashion way. F your app if you can't even take a quick second to examine if the situation makes sense. This is why you need to continue printing ads! She quickly grabbed the paper ad from my hand (a natural response because she was embarrassed / pissed/ still defensive) and then pretended that all was good and wished me a good day as though nothing happened. Lol It was a bit insulting to encounter a situation like that over a purchase of 2 boxes of sandwich bags, but I silently forgave the cashier for not knowing any better when she was trying hard to save the day at Walgreens! Located off Atlantic in Monterey Park. This is a 24 hour location. Came here to try out the photo printing. The staff was helpful and checked up on me a few times the process was pretty easy the only downside is if you have tons of photos on your phone it will take a awhile to load your photos but once that's done the process was easy to select photos and printing. Especially if not busy they will print your photos right away even if it gives you a time to return to pick up. It can get pricey if you do collages but individual 4x6 is pretty reasonable. Overall experience here was good I would go back. read more

This is the second time I ordered Christmas cards, photo etc from this Walgreen. I placed my order during the day. The order was supposed to be for same day pick up. When I ordered the cards online, it said they would be ready at 4:50 pm. I went to yoga and came back to pick up my order at the store at 8:10pm, but my cards are still not ready. They told me that they were busy to prepare my order that I had to wait 20 more minutes of my time to have my order. As I wait here, I can say that this is the last time I order something from this place. I do not want to know and I don't care if you guys don't have time to make my order. The right customer service will just apologize and period. Customer are not supposed to try to understand what goes wrong In the store. If you can not meet the need, you guys have to get more employees so there is not just one person doing everything in the store. Also, you have to teach the employees to be better customer service. Been a customer for 3 years, Recently had a fraud case on my visa debit with a chip,$500 and & 150 on September 15, I checked with the pharmacy and I was never in the store on that date, been getting my prescription here for three years, occasionally buy other things once in awhile, Walgreens denied the fraud because of the chip on my card and now the bank won't return my money! I came in this morning to grab a few things and I had a few offers I wanted to do. The cashier Jasmyn was extremely helpful, I mean she really went above and beyond to help me. I had a $7 off 3 Crest/Oral B toothbrushes and it would attach to items when scanned on the app but once I was rung up, the coupon wouldn't appear. I brought a few different brushes to see if the coupon would attach at the register but it still wasn't coming up, she was very patient and very polite trying to help me out. This is usually my go to drugstore for things when I need something and don't feel like dealing with crowds at target or Walmart. But today I felt like the manager thought I was out to steal something. He stopped me twice to ask me, " is there something I can help you with mam?" -it is polite, but it was the intonation and he asked me twice within 2 minutes of the first time. I understand I'm dressed in casual clothing, walking quickly from one aisle to another aisle with a bottle of shampoo on my arm, that did have my purse, but still. Whenever I have a prescription to pick up, I make sure it's send my to Walgreens. It allows me to be sure that my prescription is being taken care of correctly. They have the best pharmacists and employees. The thing I like about this place, is the nice accessories. They have a lot of stuff using the nice logo, for example the nice waters, I always get these waters, and they taste delicious. They also have candies, bread, chips. Needless to say the two associates that helped me were amazing! They did everything they could to try to help me even though they were having issues with their system.
