The pharmacy here is just horrible! I set up a virtual health visit. Highly do NOT recommend using their virtual health. They'll call you at random, you cannot ask for a scheduled time. Went to pick up prescription, they don't know how to process the coupon. Complete waste of time!! Stay away from this pharmacy! They are not organize at all. When I called to check on status, they don't even process the prescription until you ask them to. I used the Self-Pay Savings Card, meaning I will pay out of pocket. Instead this pharmacist ran this coupon to my primary insurance a few times and it's denied. I kept explaining the medication will not be covered by Kaiser but she just kept running it through Kaiser and did not allow me to use my self-paying savings card. Update on 4/14: I called CVS Pharmacy to fill this prescription. 1.) They picked up the phone right away 2). CVS was able to apply the manufacture coupon and I was able to get the discounted price. What the hell is wrong with Walgreens then??? They don't pick up calls here and the pharmacist was rude. She took down my manufacture coupon code incorrect a few times and kept throwing it back to me that it doesn't work I pointed it out to her that she is missing a digit. Then when the code finally worked, she ran the code through my insurance and told me it was denied. I repeatedly told her it's self paying, doesn't need to go through insurance. Do NOT get your passport photo taken here. I brought my son to have his passport photo done, and it was rejected by the USPS passport officer. When I returned for a replacement (which they provided for free), that second set was also rejected. I ultimately had his picture taken at USPS, which, of course, was compliant. read more

Stopped here Tuesday afternoon. Not that busy at all. Wanted some medicine out the locked area. Pressed the button, waited. Pressed again, waited. It kept announcing, "customer service needed in the pain and sleep section". This went on for like 10 minutes. Finally went to front checkout, which was empty, and the cashier came back and helped. I dont mind things being locked up. But waiting over 10 minutes for an unlock (who knows how long if I didn't go to the front) is just crazy; especially in such a small store. Having a very difficult time here. They keep going back and forth with Dr. s office. When I called they said they would call me back. they did not. That was yesterday. I called back today and waited on hold only to be be hung up on as soon as the hold music stopped. So I called back again, and it says "we're sorry to keep you waiting...there is one caller a head" then it goes " we're sorry to kep you waiting.. there are three callers ahead of you" wait how did it go up to 3? THen I get "We're sorry to keep you waiting there are more than 3 callers ahead of you" more than 3 now? How am I on hold and the number of callers is increasing as I'm waiting? Is this like, ignoring me? Dr's office has also said they called direclty so between me and the Dr's office, how can we not get through to get my medication? Medications matter and it seriously seems like I am being ignored. At this time, my second call I am going on 27 minutes on hold. Truly the most unresponsive and unhelpful pharmacy I've ever experienced. Every single time I have ever called (which has been numerous times in my 3 years in Alhambra), I dont think I have ever made it off of hold. Every time I have a prescription to fill, it is a new adventure - whether my insurance has been processed incorrectly, or an order they said they would make was never actually processed. Truly disappointed and I hope they can figure out how to right this ship. I'm writing this as I sit on hold at the 45 minute mark after being hung up on after the first 45 minutes of holding.... unacceptable. read more

Here's the thing. It's Walgreen though you can't expect much. It's usually like understaffed, but it's also very underwhelming. I usually go here for the pharmacy and there's always a line so I've learned the hack just go through the drive-through. Again, it's Walgreens so the options are very limited, but there's a cashier there an Asian woman and she's always very friendly so if you go to Walgreens, I think expect the prices for cosmetics to be high. Unresponsive phone calls to pharmacy. Pharmacy will not answer, I mean ever. Hours on hold and left on a never ending loop of on hold music until the system hangs up. Canceling prescriptions without any explanation. You can't speak to anyone about it. A complete nightmare. Blatant unprofessionalism and not only frustrating to customers but dangerous. Really the location should close shop. This is not new, it's been happening since early summer 2025. The pharmacy is terrible. They don't fill prescriptions and don't answer their phone. I've been on hold 45 minutes. At one point, I spoke to someone and began to tell them my issue. They just said ok and sent me back to the automated system without another word. Since then, I've continued to be passed around between hold and the automated system. I can hear the phone get picked up and then send me back to the automated system. I asked to be transferred to the store manager, and was, she said she'd tell them to take my call next. They did not. She explained they're understaffed. Not an excuse for the lack of professionalism all around. Glad I couldn't get my medicine. It's also great that they call you a million times to try to get you to fill a prescription when it's overdue to be filled. They need to get their act together. read more

Le hustled like no other to get us all cared for quickly & efficiently. He made sure we didn't wait one second more than we needed to to get our medication. I really appreciated it. Came to the store because I read they offered Printing services. Mind you that I was looking to print one single document for an appointment I was headed to. I walk in, the employees were not nice, they looked like they didn't even want to be there. I wait 5 minutes in line just to be told that I have to submit the document through their website in order to have it print. I say ok and jump on their website to place my request and submit the document I wanted to print. I then stand in line again, and when it's my turn they tell my document isn't printing, they don't know why, they ask me to submit it again. I said okay, I start a new submission and keep in mind the website is telling me that my document has been received and no further action is required. I wait in line again, at this point I've been there for 20 minutes. I get to the front and they tell me again, they're unable to print my document, im frustrated, I ask for their help, the lady says take a screenshot and convert it to a pdf, I do that and nothing is working. After being there for 45 minutes I give up and leave. They were not helpful and their software is trash, so upset with the service. read more

This review is specifically for the photo department. I have ordered photos prints from Snapfish online to be printed and picked up at this Walgreens location several times now. Each time I have been impressed with my prints being ready for pickup earlier than the projected pickup date. On this occasion, my prints were ready 2 days earlier. Quality prints, fast turn around, friendly service... there's really no need for me to ever pay for shipping again when I have Walgreens to print my online photo orders to my liking. read more

Super lame. I appreciate their drive thru pharmacy but their vaccination clinic service sucks. Dont come in on time thinking you'll be in and out. You line up for 4mins before showing the appt details. they get your ID and vax card, let you wait/hang around the pharmacy. 20mins later, they call you back (you still have to line up) only to hand you a form to fill out. If youve been here before, its a covid disclaimer + allergy declaration + voluntary agreement to get the vaccine. I submit the form and am asked to sign a receipt for the medicine. Another 6 mins pass and they still havent called me into the room where they administer the shot. Cmon Walgreens Pharmacy, i know 5pm-6pm is busy but you gotta give your patients a sense of care. Plus some people who are covid-cautious prefer not to stay indoors too long with non-masked customers. * I got called 9mins after submitting the form. I was let in the room and the vaccines administered in 3mins. I asked about a flu shot record (to show at work or whatnot) and the nurse said he will ask in the pharmacy. Waited another 8 mins and saw the nurse who administered my vaccine was entertaining other patients. Maybe he didnt get to find out. Who knows. I already left. I needed to get dinner started. TL;DR / MORAL OF THE STORY: if you think you'll be in and out for your flu shot or booster shot, think again. Allot 1 hour for the whole thing, especially for this Walgreens branch. I did not use the pharmacy, just the over the counter Children's Tylenol. All the shelves were fully stocked. I chose the house brand medicine, because it was more affordable. From someone who also works at the pharmacy, I have to agree with some other Yelpers that this particular location lacking customer service. I have been coming here for almost 10 years since I moved to South Pasadena and not even a single time was I greeted with a smile from the staff, including pharmacists, technicians or clerks. Though in a way, I can feel their pain. Working in pharmacy drains you out real bad real quick because we often see, I mean daily, we have to deal with angry patients/customers. We are often blamed for many things that we didnt know about like not able to fill a medication without a legit prescription per se. If your doctor has not sent us a prescription, I am sorry but we cant do anything. We called and no answer, left a message and no call back. That's that. But employer also wants you to accelerate customer care too. A smile wont hurt. Plus, I was often ignored of my existence at the counter. When its my turn, all the staff will be gone to the back and wont come back forever. Then why did you call out, next? Some things in life will never be understood. I've had so much trouble with refills of a certain medication which I've been taking for over 25 years, because Walgreens had been billing my insurance company incorrectly (that's what Walgreens told me). I was also told that my insurance company was not paying for the full amount prescribed. I just spoke to my insurance company and that is not true. Also, a couple of months ago, I received a notification indicating that I had medication ready. Only to find out it was a medication for either high blood pressure or for cardiac issues, which has never been prescribed to me. Came on a night on the first of November, I cant remember his name but he had curly long hair and glasses, anyways I just felt as if he deserved recognition since I noticed he was making sincere conversations with the customers ahead of me and despite waiting a while with a heavy object he set a moment aside to hold onto it for me until I it was my turn to checkout. I called in asking if they can provide a simple response over the phone regarding medication that needs to be picked up & a pharmacy tech by the name Karla I believe, simply denied me services to help over the phone. I mentioned my mom cannot be unattended since she just had surgery performed and she said she cannot help me that it's my problem. I get that it's not her problem but if you're working in this field where you're there to "help" the proper thing to do is to assist to the best of your ability and not just brush off customers. Beyond inappropriate behavior from the staff. She placed me then on hold and told me anywhere I go I'll receive this form of treatment. All my prescriptions are here and I use the drive thru whenever I see a short line. It's really convenient to pickup although at times there can be a long line it's not terrible. The phone system is great, it reminds you about prescriptions and even lets you request refills without having to go to your primary doctor. read more

Horrible pharmacy! Watch for the girl karla in the front who attends you. Will literally tell you the medicine would be ready in 30 mins and never receive a call from them. I came in to pick a medicine that should have been ready 30 mins after the fact that she told me it would be. I came back at 6 pm and she has the nerve to tell me its still not ready. I confronted her about what she said and tried to lie to me and pick an argument with me. Told me it would be ready in 10-15 mins and told her i would time it this time. COVID VACCINE RELATED!! Walked in, the pharmacist didn't want to help us make a covid vaccine appointment, EVEN THOUGH online it says we can walk in. We tried online, had some issues so it gave us a message to walk in or call they would make the appointment. So we get back in line and the same guy said NO. There are no walk in appointments so I said okay but it says there are a lot of appointments and to call or walk in he said NO. We went to the walgreens down Atlantic and they were so helpful, helped us with our appointment as walk ins. They were shocked this store basically turned us away. Racism? I think so.
