I came here for COVID 19 vaccine since 986 Pharmacy was one of the few brands with a readily available supply of JnJ vaccine (Note: I specifically looked for JnJ because it's a one-dose shot so this is just my personal preference). To get the vaccine, you need to call to make an appointment. Their official website says that the Temple City branch is out of stock. However, this is not updated since I called and got an appointment the same day (today) several hours later. Vaccine is free of charge but you do need to fill out a form so come in 5-10 minutes earlier. I came in Monday late afternoon and there wasn't much of a line. Because this isn't a major vaccination site or a big brand pharmacy, the entire vaccination process was quite quick. (Though it could be because I came in on a weekday.) Customer service was friendly - phone and in person. I've lived in this community all my life and I had no idea we had this local pharmacy until this place popped up on vaccinefinder.org!!! It's located in the heart of Temple City, right next to Northern Cafe. Parking is pretty good for now but it could get busy once the pandemic is over. I can't give this 5 stars since I haven't used its actual pharmacy services but I'm definitely putting this on my radar the next time I need to pick up a Rx! read more

I picked up a Covid Testing kit for my daughter at 986 Pharmacy in Pasadena before they closed at 5:30pm for $27.00 plus tax. After they closed, I realized I should have picked up Covid Testing kits for the my whole family just in case, so I sent my husband to pick up THE SAME testing kit at 986 Pharmacy in Temple City because they closed at 6pm. They charged $50.00 plus tax. This was Friday night. Saturday morning, I called the pharmacy about the price difference and the young lady told I needed to talk with the pharmacist but he was busy and he is the only pharmacist. She also told me they were closing at 2pm today (December 31st). My husband went there at asked them why they doubled the price for the same kit which was also purchased at a 986 Pharmacy. He told my husband he buys from a different vendor (REALLY?) ! IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A COVID TESTING KIT - please do not go here. BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE. People are scrambling to get tested because of the new variant. WHY, JACK UP the price! This pharmacy is AMAZING! They delivered our meds in Glendale and if we needed to drop them off they would have them filled within 10 minutes. The staff is great, super helpful and you can tell they genuinely care! I'm sad we are moving up north but I was told they can mail us our meds which is so awesome! Went to get Covid Booster. Had to fill out an application which I believe is unnecessary. Then they ask for an id (OK), current vax card (ok) and finally insurance information (OK). Further, they ask Medicare patients for their Medicare card and those patients with Medicare Part C also supply their Medicare Advantage Part card. This is out of ignorance on the part of both parties. Copies are made for the pharmacy's records. Copies contain personal and confidential information. The Original Medicare card has the individual Medicare number. If this number gets in the wrong hands it is used to defraud Medicare. Who knows how many workers have access to all the above sensitive information particularly the Original Medicare number. Let's hope the pharmacy workers are honest and the personal data is stored in a secure digital data center for a limited amount of time and paper copies are destroyed sooner rather than later. Why is the pharmacy doing the Covid vaccinations? Out of the goodness of their heart? Somehow people are getting reimbursed by the US Gov't and that makes me suspicious especially when the pharmacy has collected so much personal, confidential information. Hopefully the pharmacy is a good citizen. BTW, temperatures were not taken when I was there. After they asked for so much personal info mentioned above, I'm now curious how the pharmacy treats illegals. Ken Thai is the CEO. Like to hear from him or his delegate. read more

Can't rave about them enough! They automatically refill my mom's prescriptions and deliver to her every month, and call the doctors for us if the Rx is expired. When she was discharged from the hospital, they delivered new meds to her right away to make sure she had perfect transition. When I call for questions they are always so nice and professional. I was warmly greeted by the Pharmacist and his staff. Some one called me say a prescription medication for my wife is ready for pick up, I went there to pick up the medication one of their staff was helping me said he couldn't find any medication for my wife, he have called the person which called me to pick up, and that person didn't pick up the phone.
