I love the pick up lady. She's the most friendly helpful lady ever. Everything is quick and easy. I've spoken to two pharmacists for consultation on a new medication and they were both super helpful and answered all questions and concerns. El Monte Pharmacy is one of the quickest places you could drop off your prescription and pick up your medications. As a business, El Monte Pharmacy does the community good as well by taking on a LOT of interns from UEI, ACC, nearby adult schools, etc offering Pharmacy Technician programs that require an externship. But don't worry, the staff of permanent pharmacy technicians and pharmacists are always watching and making sure everything is done correctly and swiftly. Pick a language, they speak it. But you have to pick from one of these: English, Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, other languages that are unintelligible to my untrained, albeit quite large (sad face...) ears. They will fill your prescription very quickly 90% of the time -- the pharmacy itself is very spacious, so they should have all of the most commonly prescribed drugs on hand. On rare occasions, you will have to come back as they will need to order a drug for you. And if you're here, why not stop by Ocean Bo Dim Sum in the same plaza just across the parking lot? Great pharmacy! I was assisted promptly! I deducted a star because of the lack of professionalism from some of the staff members here, for instance, there is a hefty hispanic dude counting pills and he was wearing his ecko tee with some chucks and a watch and had tattoos all over.. MIGHT I add, it was NOT casual friday! he had NO Lab coat on.... He looked ghetto and did not look as if he should be there handling those meds.. WEAR A LAB COAT Like everyone else! You are in a pharmacy and a place of business! not in the comfort of your own home.. And some chicks looked as if they just got out the club, with blue eyeshadow, red lips. Let's just say this place is filled with youngsters, rOOKS! The people at the front are not courteous neither are they friendly, yes, I know they deal with lots of older people and sometimes it may be frustrating to deal with them since most are hard of hearing, but that does not mean you should treat others that way. Send all your parents, grandparents, and other family member's meds here and you don't have to drive out to a pharmacy anymore. The El Monte Pharmacy, Address: 3948 Peck Rd, El Monte, CA 91732, was a good pharmacy to go and get your prescription mediations either pick up or delivery, till staff members started to get lazy and not want to deliver medications anymore or stating medications were delivered but not delivered; and try to deliver different medications. Refills with only the medications they had left to try get rid of the remaining medications, with this being said, this occurred even when medications were previously prescribed by Primary Doctor or Norologist, and still not wanting to fill the correct medication prescribed by Primary Doctors, and being told they no longer want to deliver to you and lied about someone signing for medications which was fall, and every delivery should also have to do a i.d check; also trying to deliver wrong medications and bad customer service to those of their choosing./ I rate 1 star out of 5 and recommend anyone else needing a pharmacy to go check your insurance and try get your medication else where like Savon,SamsClub,Cosco; to mention also the pharmacy staff at times will lie at times to you and also recommend anyone sticking with this pharmacy and getting a record your phone call app or in a Home line Telephone a machine for proof of what's told/said. read more

I've been coming here for a little over a year now. I've always liked the service and they offer free delivery but recently I ran into a problem. I had a prescription that someone else picked up. When I went to pick it up with some other medication they told me it had already been picked up. They showed me the signature and it started with an A. I think it was something like Albert. My first name is Jesse and I told the lady to check the other signatures. After about 15 minutes they finally gave me the med I was missing. I had to go through a hard time to get it though. I really like this pharmacy but they should require a ID from now on. read more

Selfish El Monte pharmacy does not able to provide prescription medication refills, but El Monte pharmacy does not collaboratively work with other pharmacies for the transfer of refills by hanging up the phone conversations several times for 2 hours. El Monte pharmacy keeps the original prescription and recommends other pharmacies to ask customer for doctor original prescription to continue the refills El Monte pharmacy cannot provide. A doctor's original new prescription does not require a transfer of refills by nature, and works well without El Monte pharmacy. read more

Honestly such a wonderful pharmacy! My mom gets her prescriptions filled here and we always had a great experience. Fortunately I don't have to fill prescriptions often.. but when I do I'm always happy I made the decision to come to El Monte Pharmacy. My doctor had sent in a prescription for me last week and the pharmacy really went out of their way to make sure I got the medication timely. There was insurance issues and order issues. But through it all, I was in the loop. I really appreciated the time each staff took to give me a call for the updates. One staff member even called my insurance when I told her I didn't have any new information. I wished I took her name because she definitely deserves a shout out. The pharmacist Jolie was also so great about keeping me updated on the order status and she made sure it was sent out to me as soon as the medication came in today. From their front desk clerks to their pharmacists to their delivery staff.. everyone is always very friendly, eager to help and professional. Sure it gets busy and crazy.. but I always feel like the staff does their best with the time and resources that they have. Just wanted to let the pharmacy staff know that my family and I really do appreciate and value your efforts and service. What I like about this pharmacy is the personal service you get. Staff is incredibly helpful and the pharmacist is really informative. I like it much better than the CVS/Walgreens type of pharmacy b/c they're so corporate ... this place has a family business feel, dedicated solely to pharmacy, which I prefer to support small/local business much more. This pharmacy is constantly busy, but in a good way. I recently had a doctor's appointment and got a few prescriptions. I was already on my way home when I remembered I needed to fill the prescriptions. I saw the sign for this pharmacy and pulled over. I stepped inside and there's at least twenty people behind the counter. They were all working either on a computer and printing out orders or moving from shelf to shelf pulling medications to complete an order. One of the workers took my prescription slips and entered my information into their data base. I took a seat to wait for my prescriptions and took some time to look at the storefront. There are vending machines to the side if you want something to drink and plenty of chairs in the waiting area. It wasn't long before my name was called and I received my medications. I was very happy with my experience at this pharmacy and what's also cool is that they do home deliveries! I don't live very far from this pharmacy, but it's certainly a convenient way to get my medications. read more
