I had a really stressful experience with my prescription this week, but the team at CVS truly came through for me. My medication was supposed to be sent electronically by my PCP about a week ago, but when I went in for pickup, it never went through. Since I was completely out, one of the pharmacists kindly gave me a few tablets to hold me over while she tried to resubmit the refill. The next day, I went back to my PCP and asked them to resend it. Four hours later, I returned to CVS, but unfortunately, it still hadn't gone through. That's when Cinthia stepped in. She immediately took the initiative to call my doctor's office and made sure everything was sorted out so I could get my medication that same day. I'm incredibly grateful for her help--it meant a lot, especially since I really needed my meds. Eyleene at the front was also very friendly and helpful throughout the process. I have picked up multiple prescriptions most of the time I have to go inside because the pharmacy drive thru window is closed but today why would they add a policy where you cannot use tap to pay from your phone because it's a liability to take your card? First the clerk said we cannot take Apple Pay. I said it's not Apple Pay. It's my debit card. She says, "I'm sorry it's a liability for us to take your card." Come on CVS get with the Times people pay with their cards on their phones at drive-through windows every day, upgrade your system! I understand it's a window, but the policies are ridiculous. Sometimes your line inside the store is longer than the line outside the store. Most of the time you don't even have the prescriptions we need, we've gone to online pharmacies, but in some situations we need more urgently we should be able to rely on CVS and it just feels like the reliability is not here! read more

I just want to share how much I appreciate CVS South El Monte!! The one on 1954 Durfee Ave! The reason is I feel that the staff at this location is SUPER EFFICIENT!! I've had my prescriptions filled at other CVSs in the past, and I've ALWAYS had issues. Such as delay in refill (when told, "come back in an hour.") And they still don't have anything ready, making me wait 30 min -45 min!! Not here!! When they say it'll be ready within a certain time, it's ready!! I feel they go above and beyond!! I feel important to them!! I have faith in knowing they are knowledgeable and assertive!! I'm totally confident to say that these are the best group of pharmacy staff in the area!! read more

I rerouted a UPS package to this CVS location for pickup (scheduled window 1/2-1/9). When I went in on 1/6, staff were unable--or unwilling--to properly assist. The front employee couldn't locate my package and asked her coworker, Leslie (who stated she was the manager), for help. After that, I was ignored for approximately 45 minutes while both employees continued assisting checkout customers and avoided addressing customer questions, stating they were trying to "minimize the line." I waited in the store for over 1.5 hours total. Despite UPS tracking still showing the package as being at this location, staff told me they couldn't find it and suggested I file a claim because "maybe the UPS driver took it back," but that would have required a scan and system update that never occurred. On 1/7, I called and spoke with the store manager, Adamiss. She confirmed she had been briefed by Leslie but acknowledged little was done to actively search for the package. She stated she reviewed camera footage but "couldn't tell which package was mine" and repeatedly shifted responsibility to UPS--even though UPS no longer had possession once it was delivered to CVS. This situation reflects a serious lack of accountability, package-handling procedures, and customer service. I am requesting that CVS corporate review this location's UPS Access Point process, employee training, and package security protocols. Customers should not be left without answers when a package goes missing after confirmed delivery. read more

On November 1, 2025 * At 10:09 AM, I dropped off a refill for prescription medication with pharmacist Nicole. * At 10:24 AM, the promised availability time per CVS pharmacy document with status waiting (a 15 minute wait) * At 10:30 AM, the Los Angeles County sheriff behind the scene arrest with accusation trespass * At 10:34 AM, the CVS Pharmacy receipt shows a payment $4.80 and I picked it up. * Pharmacist Nicole inquired me whether she requested a refill of medication (90 for 3 months) from doctor office. I told her yes please. The medication came in and CVS filled it on 1/27/26 behind the scene from insurance company. When the insurance company mailed the monthly statement (for January 2026) to home on 2/20/26, the document printed You paid $4.90. Oh no. The patient does not receive the medication. The medication total is $586.73. CVS cannot bill insurance without patient pick up medication. CVS misconduct. I inquired CVS pharmacy. CVS said pharmacist Nicole no more work. CVS said they returned the medication in February. I mentioned the fact that CVS did not contact to my home both the availability and the return of medication to insurance. I came here first time to pick up my prescription since I just moved into this area. Thats why this store does not have a record of my insurance. And this lady didn't give any coming customers a warm welcome but a DREADFUL face. Every words she said annoyed me so much. No one ever answers when you call. When placing orders for photos online the store never prints them. Always says "there's an issue with our photo machine". Never fails. Why offer this service if it never works? Or at least have the decency to respond to online orders immediately and say they can't be fulfilled. They need to really get it together. read more

I wouldn't normally write a review about a boring old pharmacy but want to point out how the clerk at this location went the extra mile for us. Our prescription would have been $57, but the person behind the counter took it upon themself to look up a coupon before we even arrived. When we did, we learned that the coupon they found saved us more than half on the price. WOW! Thank you so much for caring, and helping us save money at a time when we really need to. Came in the day before Valentine's Day to get valentines cards for my daughter and was greatly disappointed upon arriving home to find that in the box there was no cards. The box that we chose to get it had 12 cards in it along with pencils apparently someone had pulled the cards out from the pocket where you can see the pencils you're able to touch the pencils through the box.My daughter was extremely upset when we came home just to open the box and have no cards inside not only do we have to go drive around now to a 99 cent Store which had absolutely no cards available and then to a Walmart to try to find whatever cards they had left. The cards from the box were stolen. I don't recommend coming here for cards. Another Reason I'm mad is more because of how much a mess there was. Empty boxes on the floor, candy on the floor. Suspicious dirty weird people walking up and down the aisles. And only one person at the check out. Pretty much I wouldn't recommend shopping here. read more

If they had negative stars I would mark the max. I agree to sign up for their discount program, the girl who signed me up tells me I can cancel either through calling or email. She writes the phone number and email on the back of the receipt. A month after I cancel through email I am still being charged. I call to find out why and they inform me that you can't cancel through email, you can only cancel by calling. So what was the email she wrote down? Are you guys hurting for money that bad that you are using trickeration on customers now? Boooo this place! read more

I can tell you that this CVS is the best of the best. Friendly staff. Great Pharmacist and pharmacy staff members! This is my #1 CVS store. From buying our everyday needs to getting our medicines. The staffs now recognizes us and are super friendly to everyone. The pharmacy is even better. I highly prefer 2 Pharmacists here: Anthony and Arturo, aka Art. They are both super friendly and super helpful. They will answer your questions and give you tips on the best medicine to take. This CVS has everyday. Every time I've gone in, this store has always been clean. The shelves always seems to be stocked and nothing has been out of place. The staff always greets me when I walk in and their service at both the pharmacy and front counter is good. It would be nice if this was a 24 hour store so I wouldn't have to drive an extra 10 miles for medicine in the middle of the night, but that is my only complaint. read more

I am always welcomed and assisted when I shop there especially if I have any questions in the pharmacy aisles. I made a quick visit on Monday May 14th and I needed assistant in the pharmacy section and since it wasn't too busy I was helped right away. I didn't get a chance to ask what the woman's name was but if I see her again I'll know who she is just by her face. She was so helpful in my search for a specific product and she found it quick. She was nice too. I don't think I've ever been disappointed walking into a CVS! I've also done prescriptions here too and the pharmacists are very nice. They work hard just like you and I do. Give them a break even if you find yourself waiting. Have patience. I am not just talking about the pharmacy section. I see a lot of customers that walk in who are rude to the cashiers for nothing just because they can. Thank you CVS for always assisting me and always acknowledging me when I walk in. P.S. I love all CVS stores, I love to Shopkick and their stores have a lot of products to scan for my kicks. (people who Shopkick will understand this lingo). They also have great sales every week and you can great in store coupons with your CVS extra savings card and combine manufacture coupons with their in store coupons for extra savings. Bullshii! This cvs has poor management. The employees are not helpful, randomly texting or on their phone while walking around their store, management walking by you without a greeting or smile, long lines at register since they only keep 1 open. It's pretty much like a "self serve" store. For the second time, they failed at photo printing. I uploading the images via cvs website hours before I came in. The website said it'd be ready. I even called in before coming to pick up my photos, rep said they will be ready when I get there. LIES! I came in, they said 10 minutes as the images are finishing up printing. MORE LIES! 15 minutes after, they tell me they ran out of paper and can't print them out at all. What's the point of "same day pick up"? Terrible customer service. Not even an apology when I had shown how disappointed and upset I was. Don't go here. Find an alternate store. read more

This ONE star is only for a review of the Pharmacy. Art, the Pharmacist, is so rude! I've been going to this CVS since it opened a couple of years back and every time I've had to deal with him picking up my prescriptions he is beyond rude. No customer service whatsoever. He actually made me cry I was so frustrated. I totally understand when people working in customer serivce have a bad day...but EVERY time I have to deal with him? Why? Does he hate his job? When I told him he was being rude he apologized. I wouldn't be writing this review if it was the first time - its the fourth! And not just me but my daughter and husband, as well, have received poor treatment. I'm not asking for the red carpet treatment, etc. Just don't bite my head off when I make an inquiry about medications! When I see him coming to help me 1) I cringe 2) I say a prayer that someone else will intercept and help me 3) I hope that the day I go he'll be having a good day. Since my last interaction with him and the store I have transferred all my prescriptions to another CVS. It's sad because I wanted to patronize, as much as I can, the businesses in my neighborhood. Why you guys make so difficult to the customer give you our money!!!! I was 120 of blood glucose, but It went up to 150 after this bad customer service and their responses!!!! Today at 7:00pm I was at this "CVS y más" and I saw the glucose tester strip for a CVS store brand devise. The tester was at 11.00 dollars, I told the cashier why are you charging me 22.00? She said "you will never see the tester strips at 11.00" I said yes please confirm it. Well, it was a non available presentation of 50strips. Ok give the 100units. The vendor said, I you get this you can get a free devise. I said wonderful give me my free devise!!! I was happy!!! We went to the resguarde and the lady said "I can't, I need to make a refund first and the money is not going to be available until 3 business days. I said forget it. Take your free devise back. WTH. I don't know what the previous review is about I feel like I receive the red carpet treatment every time I go to the pharmacy... I never have to wait for any of my prescriptions ..... The times I have interacted with Art the pharmacist I feel like he explains everything to me and doesn't make me feel incompetent. I have been there when its busy and slow and have received great treatment. There is actually a CVS closer to my house and I drive the extra 7 minutes because they have Great customer service. The whole pharmacy crew there is great there is no need to ask for a particular person. Even when my mom has come from New York and has forgotten her medications she has been able to get them filled there with no problem. That's why I give them 5 stars :) read more

A regular CVS with little traffic except on weekends when people come around to buy beer (Mexican community, right?) for their parties. If you look too shady you might have an employee follow you, but maybe that's just me. Would rather go down to the Arco nearby only minutes away if you're looking for junk food or snacks because it's cheaper over there. read more

Very very bad customer service in the pharmacy department from some guy with glasses said they would have medication ready at 11 , so I came to pick it up. Confronted me very rudely. Right after told me I had to wait 30 min. My problem with this is why tell a customer a certain time if they can't keep it. They are wasting people's time,gas. I just started going here. I like how the service was fast. They employees were nice and professional. It wasn't the best I've seen, but it wasn't bad either. I easily transferred my prescriptions here from another pharmacy and they filled it quickly. When I went the Tech did all the stations on her own since it was just her and a male pharmacist. They are definitely understaffed. But the service so far has been good. I have used the drive thru more than walking in since I have noticed they help you quicker in drive thru. I think if management would allow more staff on duty then the customer service could grow from that and I would be able to give 5 stars. But for now I think that its lacking that one star from perfect. I will continue to use this pharmacy, and update my review if anything changes. read more
