***This review is for the Pharmacy only*** My Mom needed to have one of her prescriptions refilled. I happened to be driving by this Rite Aid in Rosemead yesterday. I stopped and we walked in to see if we could get it refilled. Well, we were informed by the pharmacist that in order to get a prescription refilled, the prescription needs to be transferred over from the current pharmacy to the new pharmacy. Unfortunately, the current pharmacy was already closed for the day so we'll have to try again next time. Pharmacist was okay. Not the smiley type though. Hey, we're not here to make friends. We just need to get our medications and that is what matters LOL. However, a friendly smile can lift up someone's spirits any time of the day... do try to put it in your daily practice... it will make your heart sing and make someone's day! There used to be so many Rite Aid stores all across Los Angeles but now they are dwindling down and this location in the San Gabriel Valley is still standing. I came here to buy some Thrifty ice cream in the freezer section and can say they don't have all the varieties in stock here. Which is a little sad and depressing but I still did pick up four flavors. I had gotten black cherry, strawberry, rainbow and also pistachio. Pistachio is by far my favorite so I'm glad they did have that one. But I was kind of shocked that they didn't have Rocky Road! I was craving that and still unable to get it. But I'm glad they still do carry that brand of ice cream in their store. Parking was also plenty and this store was quite empty when I came during the night time. read more

Pharmacy short staffed, rude, and overall unhelpful. Came during open hours in a Saturday at 1 only for them to tell me their pharmacist is on a lunch break. Until when? 3:00. 2 hours without a pharmacist available. Came in again a week later only for them to tell me they are short staffed for walk-in's. Really. I called multiple times and came in person before. No one told me about potential staffing issues. Staff was short informing me of this, even more infuriating after the inconvenient drive I made. This Rite Aid is the worst by far! There's a reason why I don't go to Rite Aid and this approved it 100%! First of all, the pharmacy receptionist was inpatient and not being helpful. Secondly, the whole system at Pharmacy is totally unproductive and incredibly slow. My doc called in two hours ahead but they said they didn't get the prescription so I had to call my doc again then the doc office had to talk to them to confirm the prescription. I waited in the store for nearly an hour. While I was waiting for the order I picked up a few things and only found out they completely ran out of bags! Almost all of the lighting on this building and in the parking lot is burned out. One of the awnings is dark, the pharmacy sign is out, the building up lighting is out, the pole-mounted lamps are out, and the tall backlit sign is out. It must have taken a year for all those to burn out, which means nobody is paying attention. Two hobos approached me while I was parking in this danger pit, so I just turned around and drove away. Kelly of Pharmacy is the worst in customer service. Did not know how to handle a sick customer, instead of helping me get my ready prescription at another riteaid store, had them cancelled altogether notwithstanding telling her how urgent the case was. No mercy, no flexibility.. works only by the book when obviously she could have offered other options than paying for the prescription in full. Beware of her Medusa's touch. First of all, she gave me wrong information. She told me i could pick up my meds in an hour then called back to say that it was cancelled bec i changed insurance and i had to call back my riteaid store to make sure they still have my refills. Too late because she already messed up the computer data. My prescriptions were slready deleted from the systen! Then she told me to just pay for the full cost... how stupid is that? Then when i complained that im feeling worse and that my bp is shooting up because of whats happening, instead of offering to give me loaners until i get my new insurance info, she told me that if my bp is really elevated then why dont i go to the hospital??? I'm refilling on a Saturday because I don't have time to come back on weekdays. Walmart and CVS allow me to refill whenever, this store is closer to my errand destination. Welp. My wife and I went to this Rite Aid store in October 2020 for a regular Flu shots we were welcome and got paper works processed . It took a little times of waiting, probably employees were furlough, We can understand. This review is based on the pharmacy. I came here to pick up medicine. I called in at 2pm and they said that the medicine is ready. I come in at 6 and they said it's almost ready. So I wait for approximately 30 minutes. 40 minutes later they said they don't have it, or the one that the doctor prescribed. So they told me to come back Thursday. I needed the medicine so I told the pharmacist that I didn't understand why they would call us and say it's ready. I also said it was urgent. The man said they had it in a brand name that my insurance didn't cover. And if it was urgent I should just buy the expensive one! This is ridiculous because not only could I not afford that but shouldn't you be apologizing because you told me the wrong information? Highly disappointed. I just received my medication from the person delivery to my house. I was told last time from the pharmacist that I will be receiving 60 pills instead of 30 pills. I called the pharmacy store. I told this pharmacist that am I suppose to receive 60 pills instead of 30 pills. I told that was not right and I told her I will not come back here again. She was rude and just hung up the phone on me. Then, I tried to back several time they do not pick up the phone. An educated person would not do that hanging a phone on a patient. I visit this location most of the time it is filled with great employees that will help you in any way they can. Well I had a back fusion very recently and I needed a 20 pound bag of ice I called and spoke to Selena the manager. I told her of my surgery and that I was not able to come in and walk that far and to be able to carry that much weight. She was very accommodating picked up the ice and brought it out to my car I paid her and thanked her so much because I do not think that this is something that they do on a regular basis. I was in the area of Rosemead working and stopped by this rite aid to pick up some medication for my allergies which included cough medicine. After waiting in line for over 15 minutes a get to the register and right away I notice the cashier has attitude by the way she's slamming my things down and didn't speak to me, she gets to my cough medicine and ask for a ID or license so me definitely NOT looking like a teen explain to her that my license is in that bus taking up half of your parking lot please just type in my dob, and I go on to explain that at another rite aid the guy just asked for my dob and typed it in (by the way he was totally awesome and works at the one in Inglewood) now back to this miserable person of a woman. So she bluntly says I can't do it so you want it or not, so of course I say yes then she repeats I need to see your ID or license so I walked out to get my license which was in the BIG BUS TAKING UP HALF OF THE PARKING LOT THAT I CANT DRIVE WITHOUT BEING PROPERLY LICENSED TO DRIVE came back in asked her can she enter my dob so she starts talking to the cashier next to her calling him and I say look I have the license and we proceed with the transaction. She throws my bag on the counter and puts the receipt on the counter, so I say to her you don't need to say your a racist it's coming out in your actions and I immediately started praying to GOD so I won't get in any trouble for allowing this miserable person of a woman to affect my day. Long story short IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR JOB/LIFE QUIT PLEASE DONT BRING THAT TRASH FROM HOME AND PUT IT ON THE CONSUMER. Whether it be hot or cold outside, there's always time for ice cream. You can't beat the quality of ice cream and the employees are always nice and courteous whenever I visit. Horrible service at the pharmacy. I made an appointment for my covid shot, filled all forms online. Get to the store and waited in line. Staff sees me waiting in line for about 3 minutes, I see them looking at me. At no time did they tell me they would be right with me or we will be with you in a minute. Another customer waiting for his shot told me he was told to wait in the waiting area. I waited there and the staff sees me waiting for about 5 minutes and doesn't say a word. Another 3 minutes roll by and one staff finally asked me what I was here for. I told her I have an appointment. She said I have to go to the other line to check in. Should have told me that when I got there instead tells me after about 10 minutes. After I checked in 15 minutes passed my appointment time, I am still waiting and I see them helping other customers who with no appointment walked in after me. Funny thing probably to them was "sorry." That is not sorry when you know well that you f'd up. If could give the place 0 stars which they deserved, I would. read more

Great pharmacy service. They have a drive thru to make the process easy after work. I've printed photos here at the instant print machines for .29 cents a piece. I wish this were a 24 hour location, but stocks arnt doing too well huh? Parking is always ample here. They have the best ice cream ever. Yummmmm. Coconut pineapple, rocky road, bing cherry, pistachio nut are my faves. 3 bucks for a half gallon. 2.50$ when they're on sale.
