Where do I start? I'm a student and I had went to buy supplies for school and I went to the checkout and Virginia asked for my number. I guess my number did not show up and I told her I had came there before and she snickered at me and said "well your number didn't show up". I had asked what I can do to complete my purchase. She told me to bring my ID, so I had gone home to get my ID and when I went back she refused to help me set up an account even after I wasted my TIME and GAS! Never going there again...this location lost my business FOREVER because of her. Went to a different location and purchased $124 dollars worth of products, and the lady was so sweet and helpful! so it's safe to say this location didn't want my money lol If you're a student, training for your license don't bother with this location! read more

I'm very upset about the way we were treated on our last visit. We were followed around like criminals and questioned about our membership. The cashier said it was OK and took our money. I was so uncomfortable with the way they were tailing me and rushing us out, I forgot two items I needed for the job I was about to do. I didn't get the icy white, so I tried to make my own. It stained the hair and left it spotty. I'm so upset with these woman! Kathy used to recognize me. What changed? read more

Pros: Local, clean & product brands. Cons: Most of the staff (Virginia and some others) are not approachable, rude, judge mental and not helpful. I have shopped at this location more than a couple times. When I walk in I don't feel welcome. The places is dim not well light. I'm afraid to ask questions and god for bid if I have a return. When I leave I shake my head and wonder how they find their employees. Not a good experience at all. There is one helpful employee that's an actual hair dresser. I didn't get her name but she has rose gold hair. Sadly I won't be shopping here anymore until they get friendlier staff. I will be taking my business to the Pasadena location where the staff are happy & helpful. read more

Cosmoprof - Store hours different than what's listed on Yelp. Check before coming. - Cosmetics & Beauty Supply Near Me - Monterey Park, California

Well this was a unique experience... I had 1 of the employees literally walking behind me, a blonde older lady... meanwhile I read some of the labels and looked through the products she was waiting next to me for to put the items back ... and when I did place them back, she rearranged them as she told me to move so she could stand in front of me.. I felt harassed, and really uncomfortable, I should have read the reviews before I came to this particular store. read more

The people who serve are very rude, they act as if they are doing you a favor, especially if you speak Spanish, I do not recommend that store. read more

Today I went into the store and the women that were working were very rude and unprofessional. Cosmoprof in Montery Park has the worst customer service and the employees attitudes are horrible, they are judgemental of your appearance and not helpful at all Service is really bad I will not be coming back here read more

Had a great experience today! I was in the parking lot for the better part of half an hour trying to track down my email with my membership # before I gave up and walked in hoping someone inside could find me another way. Luckily I was helped by Virginia and Ampy! They were able to find me in the system and were even able to pull up a picture of my digital membership card. I've taken a screenshot and saved it now. I had questions about products and they were pointing out a few options and as she was showing me around I found the exact product my wife had been looking for! I just want to remind people that when you are shopping in a store that has a limited capacity we need to be patient and respectful . We as a society are not yet ready to open up fully staffed and without masks and expect the same speedy service that existed 2 years ago. Be calm and carry on, fellow friendly humans! read more

The workers here have nasty attitudes. As many reviews have stated, the workers here are racist to those that aren't Latino. I was told to back off in a very aggressive manner when I was helping to translate for a Chinese customer. She was overcharged by this business and was just trying to fix the situation but the workers here were giving her a hard time. read more

Came here in a rush to purchase some bleaching items and the attendant was less than pleasant. I asked what she would recommend and she was clueless. It's a little worrisome that they have attendants that are not familiar with their merchandise. Although I understand this is strictly for professionals they themselves should be geared up to talk a about the product they sell or if they don't know it's ok but be pleasant about it. Overall rude employee did not want to be there was dragging her feet, rolling her eyes and simply didn't want to bother with her patron. (Me) I will never visit here again. read more

3 stars for the abundance of great products and the store being fairly clean. There was a good amount of workers but seemed to be talking amongst themselves. As soon as I walked in I saw what I needed, a simple color wash shampoo as recommended by my hairstylist. I browse around the store and go to check out. That was then put to a stop. My complete mistake that I didn't read the door, only for licensed professionals. Okay I can understand that, but the way she took away the products was as if I were underage buying alcohol. Not cool. Oh well, as a company they should really consider opening to the public. Amazon here I come. read more

As Livin' La Vida Madoff has recently gone the way of less flattering new 'stripes,' it's time for a new revenue scheme (totally legit, of course) in these dark days of Great Recession... Now that it looks as if my drug dealing days are destined to the scrapheap of history (fuggin' hallelujah!!!), why not on to a new revenue stream of streetcorner savvy? Cosmoprof, you may have become my vocational vessel... Where else can you satisfy a ginormous demographic that craves the ultimate in premium luxurious silky salon-only exclusivity, and offer it at half the price? Ladies? Gents? (come on now, we know all you metros out there, and even the self-proclaimed guy's guys, are being clandestinely supplied by your S.O.'s in record numbers, and that you're hooked on the self-pampering liquid, pasty, misty and gelly crack these ultra uber upscale beauty..er..*cough*-'grooming' products deliver.) I could be a shameless profiteer off of your insatiable vanity-laden desires...for a small fee today i would gladly deliver you the goods on tuesday (or anyday, for that matter) for a steep, almost 50% off discount of what you pay in your bougie spas and salons. Just name your poison. Schwartzkopf? KMS? Redken? Tigi? Oops. Wait. Shhhhhh...Here comes the Cosmoprof Police to bust my ass for letting out this salon-only secret. I promise I won't name names. Just make sure you get yourself your own licensed salon professional supplier to feed your habit. And maybe a good alias 'n' disguise, once the Cosmoprof Spooks show up at your door with a search warrant to root out the loot you're hoarding! Or Not. I wouldn't want to encourage or reward bad behavior. Especially in this wholesome and totally transparent Yelp forum. The friendly professionals at Cosmoprof would not approve! Great place to get shampoos, conditioners and hairspray! Staff is super friendly and helpful. Parking is usually easy, just find a spot in the back. It's never super busy so you can get help and get in and out. read more

I love that there's a cosmoprof so close to me but it's unfortunate that the staff is soo rude, especially if you have a return. They always use that excuse "if it's used, you can't return it" okay, I understand and respect that except I havent opened the bag you put it in let alone use it. It's just such an unfriendly environment, you're better off going to a different location read more

This place really deserves the 5 stars other yelpers have left, I loved and appreciated the service I got from Jess when I came in recently. She gave me her honest opinion about the products I was interested in as well as helped me pick out a blow dryer (Infrashine) to replace my Sedu that I just really couldn't grow to love. The store itself was nice and orderly, everything was where it was supposed to be. The prices are great, but be forewarned CosmoProf is not open to the public, only licensed professionals. In the end, Jess' customer service deserves the 5 stars and is what will keep me coming back to this location over others! read more

Service here was really bad they're supposed to be professionals that know their products and they don't, I took my wife to get some shampoo because she had just got her hair done and the rude ladies weren't helpful instead they were rushing us to leave. And supposedly the system was down and they couldn't give me a membership card they just underestimated me and didn't think I was licensed. Never again will I return to this location. read more

I visited the store yesterday I had questions about a program from Olivia Garden, all of my questions were answered very professionally by a beautiful girl named Edith. Crazy how much bad reviews there is here. First off I want to start off with, the customer service is probably the reason why I love going here cause all the girls are super helpful and welcoming. I do wish that they had better updated scanner so they don't have to manually put in my number from my phone. read more

This Cosmo Prof is the worst. Bad service, not friendly. Didn't know how to return they had to call someone. They also don't know anything about the products. Just terrible. I hope they read this review because corporate needs to step in. Just bad! read more

Of all the Cosmoprofs I've been to in SoCal, this is always the most unpleasant location. I keep returning because it's the closest to my home (and still about 15-20 mins away) and almost everytime I come, I waste my time & end up having to go to another the location. The staff is friendly but clueless and lost. I'm never assisted in finding an out of stock product at another location. Today, I couldn't complete a return without a manager (which has never been an issue before) and of course there's no manager present, so I again now have to drive to another location. If it's not one thing at this location, it's something else. Never coming here again. read more

This store shouldn't even get a star!!!!! Worst store ever ! Idk about you guys , but when people feel that they are the owners of this store is like really ?!?! You only work here! Your one job is for people to leave happy and talk good about this store! Not shit! . When trying to return something you can't ! Even if you have a recipe, they want to stay with 30% of your money ! Really?!?! Dumb Store ever!!!! I recommend to not buy stuff here unless you are sure or willing to lose 30% of your purchase . read more

Worst customer service ever...they promised they would call me to about my products when a store manager was available first thing in the morning, and after 4 days they still did not call back. I walked in the store and asked them what was happening, and they did not apologize, only making excuses. Overall, they were very unorganized and unprofessional. read more

Love that they carry most of lines & pretty knowledgable, staff is friendly & the place is clean

I really like the people here, nice, helpful. I usually find what I'm looking for, especially in an emergency situation! =)

i go here when I don't have time to go downtown to pick up supplies. I think it's still a little pricey but they have what I need.

I'm a frequent shopper here and every time I go all the ladies are so helpful especially Edith in particular!!! She's such an amazing employee and so very helpful!! Every time I go in she always greets me by name and is always willing to help me whenever I have any questions on certain products or their sales she's always my go to girl!! Everyone there is just as good but I always happen to go when Edith is there and she gives me the same A quality service every time I would give her 10 stars if I could! Keep up the amazing job Edith!!! read more

Shortly arriving in the store, I realized that there must be a pending shortage of beauty supply in the US (maybe worldwide). That must be the only reason to explain the reluctance of actually selling the products. I knew it would be a tough mission, but I must endure... The initial complete neglect was rough. But I was undeterred. I dared not incur their wrath by posing inquiries of any kind. I quietly found my shampoo and proceeded to the checkout... just one more step, but I knew it wouldn't be THIS easy. then there it was, the infamous nonchalant tone and condescending attitude. At this point, I felt like I should've been the one getting paid... But I obediently handed over $50+.... All in all, an eye opening experience! After this visit, I realized how it must have felt lining up for bread in the Soviets back in the early 1900s. read more

Great customer service from all their employees! When comparing to the other CosmoProf locations, this one is always clean, well-stocked, and very welcoming as the employees have always greeted me and attended to my needs if I ever had any questions. This place has great products. Everyone was nice at first, But when you have questions or opinions about a product they don't know much about it. I had an issue with a clipper that I purchased. I had it for two weeks and it stopped working, on my receipt it said I had 60 days to exchange or get refund when I went back Johanna treat it me like a liar and how I was trying to change a machine that wasn't from Cosmoprof. And how I had to pay a 30% to get an exchanged. Ridiculous. I asked to speak to Kathy the manager she wasn't help at all. She was rude. So I got a hold of the main person in charge of the stores. She wasn't any help she was on the girls side. She told me Johanna had said I was trying to exchange a beat up tool and I did it multiple times ect. Many other lies . I don't understand how they can lie like that. They both, Kathy and Johanna were so unprofessional. Anyway I ended going to Rowland heights Cosmoprof I told them what happened and they were nice about it they didn't understand why they were complicated about it. So now I don't care I drive all the way to Rowland heights. Just know that if u have issues with anything this isn't the place to go back to!!!! read more

Absolutely THE best Cosmoprof!!! I've been a hairstylist for over 30+ years and have been coming to this location for close to 20 years! I live in North San Gabriel and the Pasadena store is actually closer but I'll go out of my way to come here! Besides Instagram, they've always helped keeping me up to date with the latest trends with products and colors and which ones most of the other stylists are using. And after all, other stylists are using certain products for a reason! As far as customer service, if they don't have a product in stock, they'll go out of their way to try to get it for me. And if need be, put it aside and hold it for me til I get there. But on a side note, seriously, with some of the other customers they have to deal with, (while I was waiting in line to pay) I give them big props because of the way some of these customers treat them... not cool!! Thank you Kathy (manager), Jo, Edith, Amparo and Maria....you girls are the best!!! read more

I wouldn't give this store even for 1 star. I agreed that they have everything but the customer service is horrible. This morning I came in this store to buy some hair color treatment & shampoo. I didn't know it's a requirement to have a cosmology license to purchase their stuff. So I told one of the cashiers that I have it at home, I can asked my husband to take a picture of my license & text it to me, and I can show her my driver license to proved that it was really me, but she said no, she said I have to show her the actual license. Then one of the customers there are nice enough to offered to used his license to pay the stuff for me & I'll pay him back but that cashier won't accepted, she being bitchy & won't let that guy pay for my stuff. She has no right to do that, it's not against the law or store policy. She won't even let me speak to the store manager. She's so rude and ridiculous. I get so furious, I don't think I ever come back here again. read more

Was greeted as soon as I walked in. Johana was very helpful and even went as far as checking on a product that I have been looking for.
