Great Selection with High Tokyo Prices Yeah so I am a guy and I don't use this store, but my dear little friend does. I came here and was mislead by all the hello kitty pictures in the front. Thought it was a Sanrio store. My little friend loves Hello Kitty and is an avid collector. ~Variety-5 Stars I have to say that for the class of persons this store is targeting, the variety is unbelievable. This place has everything imaginable for teenage (and even older) female patrons. The selection of cosmetic products was extensive also. The magazines...again, I could only wish I was a teenage girl. ~Price-2 Stars Uhh..Ok, so this place has variety. We are in the US and this place is charging Tokyo prices. I was astonished and never would pay these prices and nor would my smart friend. Most of the items are at least 40% overpriced. Ok, so some may be picky about their cosmetics. But!!!! 13 bucks for a Hello Kitty Pen? ummmm. $50 Bucks for a towel? To each his own. We didn't buy a thing but sure had a good time looking around. Judging by the reviews on this place, I doubt many know that there are other places to buy these things. Or, this place must offer convenience for locals. Lastly, it was around 7PM and there were three young ladies working and we were the only customers. They did not even greet us. I am leaving this aspect out of the review because we were not looking for anything in particular..just browsing. Anyways, I did have fun looking around with my friend and could not believe the prices..thus my post! This is a pretty cool place to browse if you are looking for Japanese girlie stuff.

so hard to get these! now i dont have to order online!

Randomly found this little store when they used to have missha store in the same plaza. Yes, this was awhile back. This store sells almost everything that relates to beauty&health. I love it because theyre all mainly, well mostly, products of Japan. Japanese makeup, makeup tools, air freshners to cute stationary stuff in the second floor. Customer service is OK. But I dont like how they think all the customers that walk in there are Chinese. They talk to me in Chinese and I am like 'WHAT?!' The girls are so rude and arrogant. It bothers me so much. They hardly speak English too. I just hope that they had a description in English so that I dont have to ask them every each one of them. Its pricy but all Japanese products are on the pricier side. Parking can be a hassle but street park, park across the street or in the lot behind, there are many lots to park.

I'm a beauty product junkie and I was completely overwhelmed by this place. It's pretty hard for me to find a huge array of Asian brand beauty products, and this place is wall to wall beauty products. The packaging! The colors! There was so much to look at. Their lash selection was pretty scanty, but they did have eyelid glue and bunch of skin stuff. The place was pretty cute, but the aisles are really narrow and every shelf was crammed with stuff. There's a bunch of Asian beauty magazines by the door and the second floor had little gifts (kind of like a Sanrio store). I'd recommend this place for the selection alone. The brands are pretty pricey, so I wouldn't expect any bargains.

Again, terrible customer service. I should know by now. Nobody greets you or asks if you need help. I didn't need any help but come on. You cannot take pictures. Okay understandable but questionable. Why is it that nobody acknowledges the customers upon entering but as soon as you whip out a camera they follow you around two inches behind you every step of the way just making sure you don't take another picture lol. Awkward and rude. (Because she still didn't offer any concern of helping and just stands there) Also, many users posted pictures on yelp so... How do you expect to attract customers with no pictures ?? It's just makeup from Japan, not some secret. Most cramped location compared to the Arcadia store. Aisles so narrow. Pricing is more expensive. Goto Maneki Neko. Art land. Or beauty diary. It's usually $1-$3 cheaper at those places for the exact same products. Exact. Same. Products. They rarely get anything new here. Canmake. Dolly wink. Biore. I think I haven't returned in awhile and I haven't missed out on much. The upper floor has random items that are so over priced. Hello kitty, nail supplements, rilakkuma, phone cases, hair brushes accessories, and sometimes occasionally gyaru magazines. I think I'm simply giving it the extra store because of location convenience. Many years and the service never changes.

Bought a electrical eyebrow shaver but it never work. The thing turns hot after I put battery in, but it never TURN ON. Avoid to purchase it if you ever see that in store

They said they lock it because sometimes they get too busy. And given the climate of theft at stores these days I don't blame them. Staff was very nice and courteous. They made lots of suggestions asking what we might be looking for. The shop is a hodge podge of Asian imports from snacks to toys and carries a lot of beauty products. It was really messy in there and not much rhyme and reason to what they stocked in terms of toys. I found quite a few items I've never seen before especially little Sanrio plushies (I bought 3). Picked up an anime figure from Attack on Titan too and my husband bought some snacks and mints. If I were already using the beauty products I might buy them here but most of the signs and descriptions are in Chinese so I don't know what the stuff is. Another odd thing is I didn't see many price tags on things so we had to keep asking the staff about how much each thing costs. Sometimes I think they were just making it up. Will probably stop by again when in the area to support them. For us it'll just be a little treasure hunting store.

So here I am... what a fun + colorful place to find cosmetics and beauty stuff! The lady staff was super nice and lovely. I didn't waste any time. I asked and I shall receive. The lady knew exactly what I was looking for. She led me to the lip creams immediately. I bought 3 of them. They are $11 a pop... a bit pricey, but hey, our lips deserve tender loving care, too. My daughter was very pleased and so was I. We now don't have to wait until our next Las Vegas trip to get amazing & moisturizing lips LOL. They have a pretty decent selection and brands of Asian, mostly Japanese beauty products here. No, it's not as new or organized like Shibuyala or Takashima, but it has its own charm to it, especially their decor and display of goods. They do have sales intermittently, making a good number of their items priced at a lower point than the aforementioned competitors I listed above. I've gotten the same Japanese brand eyeliners for $10 here when it's usually $8-10 more elsewhere. I've been to this store a couple times and they have a membership which offers a point system and deals (I believe), but my most recent visit has their weeklong Black Friday sale where it's BOGO 50% off. Not only do they have cosmetics but they have a lot of home goods (think imported Japanese Starbucks mugs and tumblers), snacks, and so many cute things. They have so much Duffy and Friends goods from Disney Asia, Universal Studios Japan goods, Sanrio and San-X goods that I haven't seen in our general shops here, Chiikawa, and they even have kuji raffle prize goods and blind boxes too. My friends always recommend Laneige, but never had the chance to actually go to an Amore store until yesterday. While my aunt shopped for her Sulwhasoo products (both makeup and skincare), I browsed through their multiple Laneige lines that include their basic skincare line, brightening/whitening, water line for hydration, radiance, and the likes. The hydration section caught my eye since I'm a sucker for hydrated, supple skin. The sales associated was very informative, and told me about each line, it's usage, and what each product's purpose is. She never pushed me to buy anything. Rather, she informed and insisted that I take a few samples if I'm still deciding. As I was still deciding, I turned around and saw their whitening line. Recently, I've been really obsessed with the color of my skin and been avoiding the sun as much as possible. I was told that Laneige's whitening line is new. It didn't help that they had cute packaging either. I ended up getting their whitening serum, which came with a mini travel size day serum, face cream, eye cream, and toner. As promised, the sales associate gave me samples of products I was eyeing earlier: one that melts blackheads and a mask. She gave me 7 samples! SEVEN! I definitely liked that they weren't stingy with samples. Also, make sure to sign up for their membership. Every dollar spent is a point added to your account. When asked where these terms were printed, they couldn't point to anything and said "it was obvious." Under California's false advertising law (Bus. & Prof. Code §17500), you cannot enforce undisclosed conditions on a promotional offer. When my friend brought this up, the staff became defensive, refused to provide anything in writing, and insisted the manager "could only discuss it in person or over the phone," which is extremely suspicious behavior for what should be a simple, straightforward promotion. The entire interaction feels dishonest. Instead of correcting the issue, they stalled, evaded, and repeatedly refused written communication. This should tells you everything you need to know.
