Their Black Friday flyer clearly said "Purchase $59 - Get Free Lucky Box." There were no conditions listed, no "after discount," no "single transaction," nothing. But after purchasing $59 worth of items (before their 20% sale), the staff suddenly invented new conditions on the spot -- none of which appear in the advertisement. When asked where these terms were printed, they couldn't point to anything and said "it was obvious." Under California's false advertising law (Bus. & Prof. Code §17500), you cannot enforce undisclosed conditions on a promotional offer. When my friend brought this up, the staff became defensive, refused to provide anything in writing, and insisted the manager "could only discuss it in person or over the phone," which is extremely suspicious behavior for what should be a simple, straightforward promotion. The entire interaction feels dishonest. Instead of correcting the issue, they stalled, evaded, and repeatedly refused written communication. This should tells you everything you need to know. If a store can't honor its own flyer as printed, that's a serious problem. Shoppers deserve transparency, not bait-and-switch tactics. I hope people avoid this location until they learn how to advertise honestly and treat customers with basic professionalism.

A huge shoutout to Hailey!!! She was so patient and knowledgeable and even helped me properly improve my eyeliner drawing technique. I never thought my eyes could look so good with eye makeup! It's made such a difference for my confidence - thank you!! I'm looking forward to coming back and will recommend Takashima to all of my friends.

I have a Takashima closer to me, but it's always exciting when a new Asian beauty/JP focused cosmetics etc shop opens up in the area. If you are a fan of the Japanese affordable, "drug store" brand Canmake, this is definitely the place to go if you're not close by to Tokyo Central. The stock for Canmake make up and skincare goods is definitely much more well stocked and diverse than what is in Rowland Heights. I got the "aegyo sal"/shiny tear liner that I've been trying to find for awhile and I also got some nice mascara as well. They also carry other brands such as the widely loved Ishizawa Lab Nadeshiko sheet masks, face wash, etc products and the cute Country & Stream lip care items. I honestly still think that Shibuyala has the wider breadth of variety also by virtue of being the bigger store, but if you can't find it there, Takashima is you're next best bet to hit up. Really wished this spot has a snack section like the RH location, but I understand the space limitations.

I was mainly concerned about my angry elevens and the nurse was able to assess any other areas that may need freezing. I ended up getting injected in between my eyebrows and forehead and the process was pretty painless! It feels like a small pinch and took only 5 mins after the consultation. Even if you dont think you need it, botox is preventative! In the next couple days I could no longer squint and deepen the winkles. She wasn't able to explain/understand one of the promotions in her desk about if we leave a review in Yelp , we either get 10 % off or a free item... I left it as that . I paid for 60 units of xeomin however they only used 4 syringes. Usually in other places they use 6 syringes of 10 units each . Also the syringes were ready when I entered the room . I didn't like that. I like to see the bottles and when they are filling the syringe. Lastly , this is the first time that they lay me down completely in the bed when they are injecting the product in other places , they always ask you to sit ( not lay ) . Today is the second day , hopefully soon I can update .

First, the phone call to make the appointment was easy. They were polite and efficient both with booking the initial consult and with rescheduling when I needed. However, once I got to the actual appointment, I didn't enjoy their service. I arrived for my appointment at 2pm, and at the front desk was a security officer instead of a receptionist. He seemed confused by my presence and told me that everyone was out to lunch. I was confused and he told me to talk to one of the nurses, but she looked annoyed at me and told me to keep waiting in the lobby -- when I asked if they were on their lunch, she said no and to be patient. Finally, I was seen by the consultant. The consultant was very no-nonsense and didn't seem to have the patience to answer my questions. When I asked her about my concerns re: skin fat burning, she would brush them off by saying "Well, just use a different laser then". Okay, but...she didn't answer my questions or really explain the pros and cons of each laser? Ultimately, I will choose a different location. There are other places with similar pricing where you will feel valued and treated like a patient.

When I had questions about using the app and my rewards, she looked at me as if I should already know how everything works. As a 50-year-old woman, I don't always feel confident navigating technology, and a little patience would have gone a long way. I had the app open and showed her my coupons, but she didn't offer to apply them. I had to insist on using both my points and my coupons. Throughout the transaction, she seemed irritated and unhappy to assist me. I enjoy shopping at Ulta and appreciate the rewards program, but customer service should feel welcoming and supportive, especially when customers need a little help.

I Didn't like it and planned to return it. I opened the blush and it was empty! There was a blush container but there was no product in it. My guess is someone did a switch at the store. I considered returning them tomorrow, but given the bizarre situation, I went to the Monrovia store closer to home. Both Sabrina (cashier) and Stephanie the "manager" refused to refund me. I showed my receipt which was dated today within the hour. I live closer to Ulta Monrovia so I came to them. They were snide and refused to help. Despite Ulta's policy being a refund in 30 days or exchange in 60 days. I left and called the Eastland store. Alexis helped me over the phone. They Confirmed my receipt info and put me on hold to call the Monrovia store. After Alexis' call, I was able to walk back into the Monrovia store and get my refund as was originally my right to do. As I walked in the "manager" Stephanie passed me. She made no apology for the misunderstanding or even acknowledged me--rude. 1. Always check your product before l leaving the store. 2. Don't go to the Monrovia location. As a side note, I also returned the lipstick/pencil combo. NEVER did Sabrina or the manager open it to see if it was intact or even in the box! Had I not said anything about the blush being empty, they probably would have not checked that box either. Horrible business practice and even worse customer service!
