This is probably my favorite location out of all the H&M's. It's always clean, they always have the best sales, and I love the layout of the store. Great selections. The customer service is pretty basic, nothing too great but nothing to complain about. I just really like the options that they always have. And how clean it always is. Just a heads up, they do close at 7 PM on Sundays, even though on Google it says eight. The rest of the mall do close at eight though. read more

COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. None of the staff wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is open and available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing some stuff from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour (duh). They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is massive since it is located inside a mall. Lots of parking spots for you to choose from. Take your pick. However, the lot can get very full very easily and quickly. Staff: The staff here are very friendly, kind, and helpful. The store itself is very clean, neat, tidy, and organized. I do not come to the Montebello Mall, but since the H&M in Arcadia was closed (or I thought it was) I decided to stop at this location. I had to return a top I bought at the Santa Barbara H&M because it was too small. When I got there, I asked one of the associates if they had the top I was looking for and explained I needed to exchange it. She told me they did and she walked me over to where they were. I checked out the ones they had but they did not have the size I was looking for. I made my way back and told her I was leaving and thanked her for her help. She told me she thought there was one in the fitting room and she could check for me. I was in a rush so I told her it was fine. I had mentioned I usually go to Arcadia, but it was close. She let me know that location was open now. Even though I did not get what I was looking for the associate provided great customer service and tried her best to help me out. I do appreciate it! THE GIRLS WERE SO NICE HERE! DEFINITELY COMING BACK! It's so hard to find great customer service in 2020, let alone nice clothes at a good price. This h&m totally delivered! I found really cute jeans for $10.00 ea. Although It sucked I couldn't try them on (my body is very curvy) I am Latina and not a one size fits all At all LOL. Inside it work. I had to bring back a pair, turns out I'm not a size 4, ya girl is a size dos! (2) the exchange was quick and easy, I could really appreciate that. When I went back to ask about the style # for the pants I returned, they informed me that they went on super clearance price and held them for me hoping that I'd come back. i am appauled that they asked if i want a bag for 10¢ ! the 10¢ bag fee is to discourage GROCERY shoppers from using disposable platics by bringing their own reusable bags. the bags at H&M are PAPER. and nobody is expecting to need their own bag to the freaking mall ! what am i supposed to do? walk around with my new pants under my arm?? this is OUTRAGEOUS and a horrendous concept of customer service. read more

I always come to this location as it's the closest to home and I always have the worse experience with one of the employees who seems to be super miserable. Brown male, latino (for sure), tattooed, is the rudest and has no professionalism whatsoever. The first time I tried returning some baby clothes (with tags attached) he gave me a hard time since i didn't have the receipt and they were a gift. Okay I get it, it may be super hard to go on the system and search the items. This time... just complete rudeness and no desire to want to be there or he simply doesn't like interacting with women. What's going on? Like can't we just acknowledge customers, a simple hello or smile? If you do not like interacting with people then DO NOT WORK RETAIL. As a devoted Express store customer I took a very, very long time to try out H&M. I was very impressed with the quality of the merchandise here particularly the slacks which are of much better quality than Express. Online ordering is easy as are returns but the shipping time is much slower due to COVID-19 restrictions. If you are a student make sure you register for your student discount (up to 15%) at myunidays.com. Keep in mind that the fit on some of the pants (slim fit) are very tapered and snug. This H&M says online they should be open at 10:00am on Saturdays, but they're not. What's the deal? Not much of a complainer, but as someone who likes to thoroughly plan out their day and wants to completed their returns first thing in the morning upon opening, this is annoying and miss leading. I'm guessing they're not opening on time as stated online because they're staff is playing catch-up with cleaning and organizing. There's always people outside the store -same as me- wondering why aren't they opened when it's now past 10:30. This is the 3rd time I've come on a Saturday and this crap happens. If the opening time has changed, then please find a way to correct that online, on google, etc. Get it together H&M. read more

The people that work here love following customers around the store as if they're going to steal stuff. It's really odd and awkward. Like you all need to chill on that. Ive been to many H&Ms but this one is pretty decently sized and really clean.(maybe because its new but still) I like how the store is arranged on one floor, which each section having a large amount of items to choose from. It was overcrowded with annoyingly long lines which is also a plus but I went on a Tuesday afternoon. The main thing I took away from my trip to this store was: -Each section(especially the mens) wasn't underwhelming as they often are in other locations. -majority of the items looked to be stocked -workers had nice attitudes Come here if you plan on shopping. Can't speak for weekend trips though, it is the mall. read more

Walked into this location around 11 am and had the cleaning lady get mad at me and other customers for entering the store. The store was already open I don't know why she was mopping the entrance and getting mad at people for trying to shop. The floor was clean there weren't any spills. Ridiculous so I left. read more

I had a pretty unpleasant experience today while shopping at this H&M. My 9 month old was hungry and is exclusively nursing, no bottles. So as many moms know babies don't wait and much less do they care where they are. I didn't think anything of it and I began to breastfeed her in the store with my baby cover. A female employee (I did not catch her name) saw me breastfeeding and approached me in a rude manner saying "you know there are family rooms you can use". I simply looked at her (trying to keep composure) and responded "no thank you". To which she became bothered and continued to be pushy about me not breastfeeding in the actual store (in an intimidating manner). I stood my ground and continued with another "no thank you" response. For whatever reason she became furious and gave me attitude as she walked away. I don't care who likes it or approves of breastfeeding in public. My decision is to feed my child when she is asking for food and I'm being sensitive to others as I have a cover up that shields by standers from seeing me exposed while I feed. But even if I didn't choose to cover myself and my baby, no one has the right to make me feel shamed for it and definitely this employee has no right in trying to kick me out of the store because of this. NEVER AGAIN COMING BACK TO THIS LOCATION. I'm offended and I feel my child has the right to be comfortable while eating. And I should not feel stressed because someone doesn't approve or think it's inappropriate. It's not my problem it's theirs. This employee and all employees from H&M should be trained in being personable and having good customer service at all times. If they had 0 star, I would ever gave them a 0, this is such a terrible experience H&M shopping environment, included cashier, sales floor or manager. But worst of all is the manager named by Mark, he is such un-knowledge, rude and mean services that I've ever seen in my life. I purchased the items just couple hours ago and I already told cashier that I forgot the coupon at home, she said that just come back with the coupon and they would adjust the coupon for me, my total was bout $200, coupon was20% which saved me around $40, when I came back, the guy named by Mark which is manager told me that I couldn't apply the coupon, he didn't say sorry for couldn't help me or either make me felt better but the way he said was really rude and mean, he didn't even care at all, maybe cuz I'm an Asian? Whatever it was, he is such an coward, he just let me deal with cashier and walked away, I didn't yell or made in a big deal, I talked nicely to him that maybe doing once time exception since it's on the same day, the cashier told me to come back, etc... but he didn't care at all! I felt like this H&M service needed to be train again how to become a supervisor or manager to be able to manage the store and customer. I've been working in retails for the rest of my life, Target' goals are Fast, Fun & Friendly services! I've never had any problem for dealing with customers at guest service even though some of them are even worst than in mall, this left me a very disgusting experience shopping here, and surely I won't ever shopping here again for the entire of my life! I shop at H&M often and I was happy that they opened one near me.... i went xmas shopping and u bought several items.. within those items i bought a $15 giftcard.... a week later i decided to buy another gift instead of the giftcard so i called the store and asked if I could return the giftcard. The lady said yes and that i needes my receipt. The next day i went into the store, stood in line for 20 minutes, and the lady that helped me was super nice.. she was explaining to me that she couldnt do it and was going to ask for help. Thats when some loud obnoxious guy started yelling out loud for everyone to hear "no you have to return it the same day" and he repeated this every time i tried to talk. He then told me to file a claim with my bank. So i asked "why would i file a claim? I didnt lose it its right here with my receipt and my card i used". He then proceeded to tell me that when he is not saitsfied with merchandise he has bought he calls his bank and they refund his money and then ignored every question i had after that ... IM AN NOT DISSATISFIED with my giftcard. I just wanted to return something i do not have use for. And then after that he says "its not like i dont want to help you, i just cant do anything for you"... what kind of manager says that to their customers? Its $15 not $500 and i have all the proof of purchases that are needed. Your return policy does not state that anything such thing about giftcards and im terribly concerned that a store that i always received great service at would open a new one with someone with that type of customer service skills.
