They have a good mix of pieces from blouses and slacks to dresses and even casual items. ::Experience:: The store is located inside the Shops at Montebello. Whether you're shopping for work, going out, or something in between, they usually have options. The layout is clean and easy to shop, and I like that everything is organized by style. ::Customer Service:: What really stood out this visit was the customer service. Jackie helped me with an online return and made the whole process super easy. She was really friendly, patient, and didn't make it feel like a hassle at all. You need to do a better job updating your "pandemic store hours" on your voice mail tree and on Google Maps. Wanted to come by on a Thurs evening and when I called your store, I hit "1" to hear your hours. The voice told me you close at 9pm but when I entered your address into Google Maps, it told me you were closing at 6pm. I called again, talked to a real person and was told you close at 6. Saturday went to your store again and when I showed up at 10:15am I learned mall wasn't opened until 11am. Funny that Google Map has you opening at 10am. Sounds like updating the Google Map and voice tree announcement should be pretty simple, esp since we are now month #8 into pandemic. read more

I LOVE Express - most of my work clothes are from there. I have pants, suits, skirts, dresses from there. It used to fill up my entire closet. Why the three stars? Their inventory is always low - not sure why? It's a pretty decent sized store. Heck, I used to work at this location, so I know what they're capable of having. Either corporate is no longer sending as much, or possibly because it became a dual-gendered Express. Who knows? I just know I can never find what I need. One time, I came in looking for a suit jacket to complete my suit (for an interview) but couldn't find more than one style. Blah? It was during the fall too - so I wasn't sure if it's not their "season" for that item, but I thought Express was trending towards tailored outfits and professional attire. So... I had to purchase that item just in case but ended up finding something else. At least their sales associates and managers are really helpful and great with suggestions. I just need either more inventory or better selection with items. read more

I've lost a total of 70 pounds and the good thing about Express is that their clothing is made in a variety of styles to fit any body type. "Modern Fit" is roomier and it was the style I wore when I had a larger build. Now that I am leaner, I can wear the "Fitted" style of shirts which flatter my build. I also enjoy their "Slim Fit" style of shirts since they look great with a suit and tie. TheIr jeans, especially their "Rocco" line, are great if you have thick legs but still want that fitted look. Take advantage of their suits particularly their dress pants. My favorite is their "Innovator" with its style reminiscent of the TV show "Mad Men". PROS: Shop online at www.express.com to find huge discounts in their clearance section. Also, open an Express Credit Card account and join their (free) Express Next Club to earn more valuable perks such as discount coupons. Returns are hassle free, online or in store. Save your receipts! CONS: Their white dress shirts are dazzlingly white yet they don't stay that way for long no matter what you do. Great store, recommended! read more

I am an Express girl just like Jolie D. Check out my closet and you'll find Express pants, skirts, shirts, t-shirts and dresses. Seriously Express has great pants. I saw a girl wearing sexy pants and I actually chased her down the street to find out where she got her pants. Ever since that I always buy my pants from Express. After Xmas Express sale is great!! Editor pants are one of the greatest pants. They hug you in the right places and are very comfortable. They are available in regular and wide waistband from size 00 to 14 for both short and long. Wow this place has really gone downhill. I understand that it's not in the best neighborhood but the security guard at the front of the store reminds me. Also, sales associates need to wear bras and look like they want to sell what they have in their stores. I realize that express doesn't carry plus sizes and some of the associates that I encountered cannot fit the clothes in the store, and that's ok. But at least look like you tried. I didn't purchase anything when I went in there yesterday because of how unprofessional everyone working there is. I mean I know you want to get off work and go home, but keep it on the DL. Don't let my three-star review fool you. I absolutely love express. I buy all my work clothes from here. And every time I come to this store, I'm greeted warmly and have had excellent customer service on numerous occasions. I'm only giving this store three stars because lately they have had a much smaller inventory for men, and don't really carry too many suits and slacks that are to my liking. Nonetheless, I always manage to find something nice, like dress shirts. From what an associate told me, the Brea mall store has a much better suit section, so I'll have to give it a shot. read more

The men's clothing has simple, clean lines, great material and good stitching. You get what you pay for. All of my dress shirts are the slim fit MX and all my t-shirts are the stretch crew. The service is always great and the clothing is always presented well (i.e. not overflowing and always folded nicely or hanging on the properly marked hangar). read more

Came here on the last day of the 40% off promotion. Priscilla helped me try on multiple clothing so that I would get the perfect fit. Her customer service was over the top not only with me but with other customers all around the store. I felt that she knew all the customers' name in the store and was working extra hard to make sure everyone was happy with what they're purchasing. I feel like that's what this store needs because Express is pretty expensive compared to stores like H&M and Macy's. Therefore, people need to really try on clothes and be satisfied with their purchase in order to keep the return rate low. If I could give it zero stars, I would! One of the employee's friend went ratchet ass on me in the dressing room! Here I am talking to my friend and cracking jokes while trying on clothes and for some apparent reason, this chick overheard our conversation and went all crazy because she assumed it was about her! Like wait, huh, wtf?! She started yelling all loudly and screaming and shouting at us in the dressing room! Telling us to open the door (while I'm still trying on clothes) and face her. This chick waited until we came out of the dressing room and let alone, we didn't even know anyone was in there and who she was or why she even thought what she did or why she even listened to our conversation. It escalated to us facing each other and things got heated quick. Meanwhile, no one at the store did jack shit and just stood around and stared at us. I'm not gonna stoop to her level and throw it down like that. Talking about being Ghetto to the fucken max!! This store is messy and the employees are rude and unhelpful! Whoever this chick is friends with, should never come back again. The manager is going to hear this! Being harassed for no reason and playing the racist card with me...
