Great company. Great products just overall a company I would invest by purchasing their products.

This location has a warehouse and regular stores. I have bought several pants and shirts from here over the years for my job. Great selection of cargo pants and prices can be high but they do have sales. Service is very good. Easy parking in lot. read more

It's huge inside the warehouse I got myself some nice shirts and workout stuff. It was all 20% off the orange and yellow tag went over to the store next door and everything was super organized and regular price. The restroom was clean. They have fitting rooms and lots of nice gear to Check out. We got a weighted vest & some weights to go with it. I will be back for the combat boots I just wish they were waterproof so when I go hiking they'll last me especially in wet conditions and hikes with waterfalls. There's lots of parking and located right next to a Carl's Jr and citadel outlets. Super busy area not sure if it's because it's around the holidays. Service was great, fast and efficient. read more

Parking was plentiful and the service was fast. I didn't price shop, so can't speak on the value. If you want to get a gift for that person who likes that kind of gear and you can't wait for the shipping. Check them out. read more

*** main store - NOT the outlet warehouse *** This 5.11 Tactical store in Commerce is an all-things-tactical-loving girl's dream come true. The store is clean and organized. The employee who sold me some Black Rifle Coffee was friendly and welcoming. There is plenty of parking in the back. The entrance is also around the backside. Some people confuse this with the outlet warehouse which is adjacent to this location. Easy to do since Yelp doesn't currently have a name differentiation and the building addresses were not *clearly* marked at least not on the parking lot side. There are dressing rooms so you can try on the tactical pants, etc. Dear Downey Police department... where is your department patch on the board with all the other local law enforcement agencies? My girls, the employee, and I looked for one and didn't see one. In the words "#46," "Come on, man." read more

Place was sick my go to spot to buy all my gear. Staff was amazing, helpful, and the store environment was great.

Hell yeah. #WWJD "The classic example of that is the young leader, the young SEAL leader who comes up with a plan for a training mission, but maybe it's not the best plan. Or maybe the circumstances change, or something unexpected happens, or the weather, or the terrain isn't what was anticipated, and the plan is not working. That's what's going on. Whatever plan they come up with is not working. But that young leader has been told, "Never quit," so he keeps going, and he keeps going, and he keeps going, and he keeps going, and he uses up all his energy, and all his time, and all his resources, and all of his people, because he had been taught: "Never quit." That is actually wrong, and you don't do that. If you are trying something and you have given it a solid effort and it's not working, then stop doing it and step back and assess and see if there's another way to do it. That is not quitting, that is being smart. I have a little rule, I say, "I don't bang my head into something 47 times." I'll do 46, once you get to 46, then it's like "Okay, you know what? I've got to try a different way. This is not working." - Jocko, on Tim Ferris. read more

Don't run, walk to your keyboard, or to the nearest 511 store! Because , they have an amazing selection of tactical, outdoor, casual, and wear for living the gray life! Something is always on sale, And , you can count on it being in your size! As for me, I have a little bit more sand in the bottom of the hourglass, and I need pants that stand up to heavy use, and still look good, like the jeans I wore in high school! I always find what I am looking for in my size, and, in latest color and design. This is not a company that lists something on sale and runs out of it almost immediately! When I was homeless, I lived in two pairs of these pants for over a year. So no matter your shape, your size, your Budget, or your mission, 5.11 has you covered! Moreover, 5.11 has a large selection of covering for my top half , and clothing for my Better half! In the rare instance that you want to return an item, service is exceptional items may be returned to the local store if they were purchased online or items may be shipped back by return shipment. All of this quality and service and more applies to their shoe department as well. 5.11 has the motto, "ALWAYS BE READY"! And they are, ready to shoe your feet in good looking, but military strong boots and shoes. Are you looking for book purchase of uniform items including shoe wear? They have it. If you're marching days are over, and your feet know it, They have excellent shoes and boots to protect and Support your worn-out feet, so you can go on marching, hiking, walking, or climbing, all in the great outdoors! The first time I wore these nice looking half boots, I took a pretty bad header in my chair. Or I should say, from my chair, because the chair stopped and I didn't! I could've really hurt my feet, and they are messed up, as it is. Thankfully my feet were OK, and my 511 boots, just got a little dirty. The boots have a steel shank in the sole; and I never thought I'd need it, but I'm glad it was there. So the day that I wrecked, I wanted to look good. I wasn't thinking about protecting my feet. The nice thing is, I didn't have to. Thank you, 5.11 !!! read more

I totally recommend the warehouse sales. The deals range from 40% on up. Regularly priced items are way too expensive in my opinion. The markup is insane when you go to the warehouse sales you'll see what I mean. They've gotten rid of some really good pairs of pants that are worth buying over and over again but they no longer carry them anymore. If they kept carrying them in the warehouse sales I'd keep on buying more of them. The pants are tough so great for outdoor use like camping and hiking. These pants and shorts I bought that are my favorite have a total of eight pockets. Four in the front and four in the back. They are so versatile for my usage but they no longer carry them but have other kinds but they are no big deal or as worthwhile like those ones I bought in the early stages of me shopping here. Oh and make sure you try on everything you buy because I made the mistake of trying on a color I didn't quite like l, which fit fine but found a navy of the same model and bought that one. Big mistake because the sale is final and I ended up paying $40 for something that stated a size which turned out to be smaller. read more

I buy all my clothes here. I am not kidding. Cargo pants will last 3+ years but you have to wash them inside out with mild detergent and in cold water to retain the scotch guard protection. Dry in the lowest cycle or hang dry. I have 10 pairs wearing them every day to work and on the weekends. Some boot designs are extremely comfortable while others are not. I strongly recommend the suede all terrain 8 boots. Extremely comfortable. At regular price they are semi expensive at $160 before tax but worth it. This will be my 4th pair of 5.11 boots. They normally last 2 years with daily use. Use protectant especially with suede material. Also buy gel insets. You'll feel like you're walking on pillows. The boot reference # is 12422. Try them out. Great looking boots too. read more

The first 5.11 location I've seen, was on my way to Rancho Cucamonga regards with looking for a house. so the following day I was like why not let me see to make the trip surprisingly there was a store nearby me a commerce. They have a great selection of gear and equipment, I originally came in looking for a case to put in my gear, but walked out with a lot of amazing equipment! I come from a management position and I would like to say the manager Juan, even though it was just him alone running the store, he was extremely helpful and make sure his customers were taken care of,As well as making sure phone calls were answer immediately. This will be my go to store location when it comes to tactical gear from now on. You earn yourself a loyal customer,I'll be definitely be coming back, you're doing a good job Juan. I went to the 5.11 store in Commerce wanting to exchange 3 CCW shirts that I bought to small. I was able to exchange two of the shirts. The third shirt I was not happy with and wanted to return it. The manager told me I could get a store credit. I said ok no problem. What the store manager meant was I could get a store credit while I was at the store only. I had to buy something. There was no returns accepted. I was a little upset I really like the 5.11 product. I won't be visiting, recommending, or buying anything from this store. read more

Went on a Sunday the place was dead, one customer inside and only one employee working. we had to wait a very long time to be helped. I asked about a 10% discount they have online and employe said he can't honor it. when it's juts a click away! He could have honor the discount and take care of the customer but decide not to and told us to order it online instead and in my head how is this a good costumers experience ? And how does this makes business sense to direct customer to buy item online when they the item in store and he could have done it in store and provide a great experience? But instead is having the company pay warehouse employee, spend money on a box, money on shipping paper and Ink for me have the item and still get 10% off. read more

Warehouse Sales. I really hit up this location for the once a month warehouse sales in the back. Sign up via email to get the dates, but usually towards end of month. Warehouse sales have really great prices. Items change every month depending on what comes in from all the other 5.11 locations, but you can really get some good prices on items. For example this month they had a ton of packs starting around $30-$50. Same backs in the regular store for over $100. Dont know how that happened. Got some trainer shoes originally around $100 for $40. Items will change you just need to keep coming back. read more

1 star cause I felt discriminated, the store is only open for "law enforcement and first responders " I think that note on their door should be taken down, should treat everyone equal or have max 2 persons at a time to help prevent the spread of Covid-19, I was really upset when I went and not allowed in I hope Management reads my review and makes some changes as a loyal customer to 5.11 I was let down today read more

5.11 Tactical? Here?!?! Say, whaaaaaat?? Yep. Hubby and I was on the 5 freeway to head to L.A. and somehow saw this place. I mean, you can't really miss a professional, well-made, non-canvas sign from the freeway, especially if there are multiples of them... Regardless, we made a note to drop by on our way back. Parking lot is small. We were lucky and grabbed one of the last spots, but there were a few cars when we left that were cruising in the parking lot, partially debating on making new parking spaces... When we visited, there was a sale going on inside (25% off clothing), and they also had a warehouse sale in the next building. We definitely grabbed shirts and pants for both hubby and myself. Such a good deal... Sales don't happen all the time so it's be best to get on their newsletter. If you don't know much about 5.11, they specialize in tactical clothing. Very useful (so many pockets!), surprisingly comfortable (trying to get out of BDU pants with a full bladder is painful), great quality (they'll last for a good while depending on the level of abuse you give it), and they're really quite adorable (pretty form-fitting, and it kind of cups the butt for both guys and gals; much sexiness). And, when considering the normal prices, the sale was REALLY good. Service was great! Everyone I dealt with had a great personality, very friendly and professional, knew their stuff, was helpful, and just great attitudes. Loved the guy wearing the kilt! So badass! Yes, we'll be back. :) read more

Came here today with my friend and the cashier there looked like he didn't want to be there although he did greet us. We bought a hat and a velcro patch to attach to the hat and since the velcro patch was packaged we didn't know how it would look on the hat. When we attached the patch it just looked horrendous and tacky. The patch didn't even look right on the hat so we decided to return it. We looked at the receipt just to make sure we could and went back. I explained the reason we were returning it and the cashier just said "all the patches are going to look like that" in this very rude tone. So I just said can we return it. He took the patch and packaging and said "next time don't open the packaging like this" in a very ugh attitude. Which we shouldn't have but we didn't think we were going to return it. Sorry not sorry. read more

Really clean inside only bad part is they dont carry fat people sizes they said "sometimes" lol im crushed the expensive knife selection was crap. Id like to see more small items or a clearence bin There are way to many decent companies like voodoo tac selling the same stuff at half the cost The store was clean as heck stocked nicely and everything was well presented the girls section pushed to a far corner lol. The cashier greeted me and was really polite and attentive i love their costumer service. Walking through the pants were like 60$ each belt went from 20-100$ the hats were 30 the shoes and boots about 150$ wasnt many styles you can wear round town the back packs were really expensive and the pounches were about 30$ each The style of the stuff i seen here was ok but i know the stuff bought here holds up really well so theres a reason some of it bieng expensive but some of it aint worth it I dont know what else i can complain about read more

I've been where several times to purchase different things throughout the last couple of years. 5.11's quality is second to non. On my most recent trip, I asked for a specific product that was only available online. The female manager (I did not get her name), said she would look in the back for any extra in stock. Casey was amazing! But to say so little would undermine who he is as a person. Casey showed me: -Top tier customer service -His genuine ability to build rapport with individuals. (Not only me, but everyone in the store) -His positive, helpful, and all around kind demeanor. -And willingness to go above and beyond for his customers. 5.11 is extremely lucky to have Casey on their team. He displayed such a high caliber of professionalism; his worth should not go unnoticed. He certainly deserves accolades commensurate with his efforts. I would be more than happy to make the drive out to this 5.11 store, just to see Casey and his astonishing manager! If you're looking for tactical gear for work, outdoors or extreme sports then this is your place! It's truly exciting every time I walk in here. They honestly have everything I've ever been looking for. From head to toes these guys have you covered. Boots, socks, cargo pants, shirts, jackets, belts you name it. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. On to the unhappy side of things. So I happen to attend one of their warehouse sales and that was exciting. The part that left me a little shocked was that I had purchased over $200 of equipment that was not great quality at all. Figures since the markup is so high. They were getting rid of all the knives for $20! Sounds like a deal for some great looking knives right?! I could have bought a sharper knife from anywhere else. I also had an issue with the 3 tactical pens I got. I literally called a day or 2 later and was told that they couldn't do anything because it was final sale. That I'd have to call the corporate office. Really? I never used them I told the guy. He put me on hold and came back to tell me there was nothing he could do. I get it that if I buy something final sale that it can't be refunded. I wasn't asking for my money back. I just wanted a pen that worked but the bad design would cause the mechanism inside to seize with every push. It's not a big deal but it's definitely something that people should know before buying their product at the event. Overall the selections are pretty good, a well stocked store and super friendly staff. read more
