Purchased a purse on Sunday sent over $300 , was told that I can come back on Monday or Tuesday to get the monogram as they don't do monograms on the weekend. I live in Orange County drove all the way back to this location stood in traffic took and for parking was very difficult Waited in line to get in once in i was told that their monogram machine is broken. It overheated something with the battery Expressed my concern and was told to speak with the manager the manager then told me the machine is working, but because it's Christmas they're not doing any until after Christmas. I would've respected that information from the beginning as the young lady was very unprofessional and rude. It's so unfortunate that people are spending money to purchase coach items and be treated and then unprofessional manner. We definitely need to train your employees a little bit better. read more

Alhough the female staff helped me to do an online return, the service is much different from what I usually am familiar with. I Had an online order Crescent Coachtopia bag to return and tags still there, she exclaimed loudly, "Where's the dust bag!?" when I'm certain I was not given it! She insisted yes they always give dust bags.. So I thought she wouldn't process my return. Then she says it shows a picture... so she can see if it does or doesn't have a dust bag to make sure um. Not sure what she's blabbing about at that point. Also she said, "What's WRONG with it??" Like um.. Um NOTHING what's wrong with her??.. haha. I recommend go to the Westfield Santa Anita one they are so chill and friendly this staff at the Montebello Coach is very Mediocre service, sales also seems down there.. not gonna have high sales volume with this kind of service. I asked for a refund paper receipt the other place would go to the back and prints that for me she says NO because it's online so you're gonna get the email online. In store return for online order should be friendly and hassle free without questions especially if price tags are still on it because what you see online can be different than what you expect in person and this makes people want to buy online more often and not meet difficult staff like this. read more

I was super excited to receive my first ever coach purse from my boyfriend that spend his time picking out the perfect purse for me but it was all ruined on Christmas Day in front of my whole family! Opened my coach bag only to find out they had given the wrong bag after there was only my boyfriend and another customer in the store so there should not have been a mix up in the first place. We went back today to exchange it for the correct purse and they did not have the original purse my boyfriend had picked out of course it's after Christmas plus we did not even get an apology let alone good service everyone had a miserable look on their face not even a welcome into the store we had to find a worker ourselves. The same worker BREANA that had helped my boyfriend the first time helped us again and she seriously needs more training in her role as a coach associate I'd think for their things being such high value their associates would be able to follow and conduct themselves at the same level I'd give them no stars if I could do not waste your time at this store I'm sure other coach locations would have given better service, and a sincere apology! I came in to shop for a specific bag that I saw online the other day & I left feeling awful. Some women who work there were gossiping about a male manager saying he's a joke & that he doesn't know what he's doing & that no one even likes him.. The environment at this location is ugly. If that's the way they talk about their peers, it makes me feel like they'll talk bad about their customers when they walk out. I don't think I will ever come back to this store that's full of gossip and unprofessional staff. read more

Notice the low rating? It's no surprise, the associate named Martha which could be the manager has the worst attitude I have ever experienced in a Coach retail store. Martha treats customers like we are a bother and has no interest in helping. After speaking with corporate about getting a box and dust bag for my tote corporate said to go into the store and they will give me one at no charge. Martha treated me like I was a thief, she even checked the serial number on my tote. After failing to find something wrong, she reluctantly gave me a box but refused to give me a dust bag. Also, I placed an online order at 12pm and at 530pm when I left work I called to find out if the order would be ready. The associate asked my name and then proceeded to tell me to wait for the email that my item would be ready. I explained to her that I had waited 5 1/2 hours, she didn't care she just said wait for the email confirming it was ready. In this financial climate, companies should be nice to customers who spend a lot of money buying their products. I will never return to this store, I'd rather spend my money on another brand. read more

Horrible customer service. Went in to return an item that was purchased online. I was assisted by a young man but only after I waited for him to not be busy on a customer who may make an actual purchase to be polite. He began to help me and brought out the shoes to see what shoe size fit me so I could return the ill fitting ones. Once they realized I was not making an actual purchase we were passed off to a manager who was extremely rude to us and said to let them know when we're only making a return ahead of time. Why would I do that? To be serviced even slower? I already waited for the employee to be done trying to close a sale (the woman he was helping didn't even end up buying anything either) The women are very condescending. Friends of mine who have visited the store separately from my visit have said that the associates were even ruder to them and their family. All saying the same thing. That the women are rude. It's not like we're taking away much sales, there's usually only like three customers in there. read more

8/21/21 - the posted store hours were 11am to 7pm. At 11:15am the doors were still locked and lights off. So I called and to my surprise an employee answered. I would assume if someone is there during business hours that they would actually open the store. But she said they would open late at 11:20. Okay, but at 11:35 the store is still closed. Rule #1 of retail sales is that you have to actually open so people can buy your products. Don't waste your time with this location. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service the two ladies at the front have a bad attitude like they almost don't want to work but just stand there . I asked If there was a size in a shoe that was displayed in the front window and the lady there just said she thinks no . She didn't even know what shoe I was talking about I had to encourage her to come take a look at the shoe . They treat you with a condescending attitude. I'm not sure if I was treated this way because I'm young and they don't think I have money to spend but news flash us young people are making it . Coach is my everyday, standard, go-to handbag. Although, I prefer the leather to the prints. Prints. Yawn. One of my graduation gifts was a Coach makeup bag and it holds a very dear place in my heart. And it's held up some (mumbly) years later. I have take good care of it and had the liner changed twice. I've got the fru-fru stuff coming out the snooty bottom. But Coach is both timeless and classic. I use my agenda on a daily basis and it has worked out great for me well for over 15 years. The only time I ever lost a client, was when some phony-assed woman decided to "compliment" me on my "dear well-meaning" handbag. I complimented her right back and told her I thought the bags under her eyes would hold more. My boss still laughs about that. So, what have we learned here: Don't be a bag snob. If it's well-made and lasts, it's a thing of beauty. It's a trend, neither of you are worth this woman's time. Get real and get over yourself. If you choose friends as you would accessories, I feel very sorry for you. End rant. read more

I called this store to ask if they have a Madison Sophia satchel in plum. I told her that, and the price. Her reply "do you have the item number?" I said no, and was annoyed, because that's her job. "Well, I can't look anything up until I know the item number.. (huge sigh) .. oh let me see. Do you mind if I put you on hold?" Only if I could give this store negative stars!!! First off, my mom nor I was greeted by anyone in the store and it's not like they were too busy to notice us. My mom knew exactly what she wanted and so when I asked one of the associates if i can purchase the wallet she glared at me and then snatched the wallet off the table. She wrote an item number down on a post it and then gave it to me. She instructed me to get in line so I assumed that she was going to go get the item while i waited in line. While i was waiting i noticed that she wasn't doing anything but staring into space. Again, i gave her the benefit of the doubt that she told someone on their headset to get the wallet. After 15 minutes of waiting I wanted to leave but my mom insisted she wanted this particular wallet. Finally when we got to the counter and paid for it, we then had to wait another 10 minutes to get the item. When she brought the bag i felt uncomfortable about the whole transaction and decided to make sure it was the correct wallet. The box that she put it in was too small and i asked if they had the correct box for it and she just ignored me. I was so upset by the whole transaction that i want to share my horrible experience. This was a very straight forward sale and this store managed to screw up my whole outlook of Coach as a whole. Also when my mom got home she said that the inside of the wallet looked used and she took it back the very next day. read more

Whether it's a requirement for the stores salespeople to write you a follow up thank you card or not...let me just say that it was a very sweet gesture on behalf of worker "Betty's" part. She had great attention to detail when I mentioned that I was shopping around as a gift for my mom...After 1 not so great experience at this store with their merchandise, I feel I have the right to inspect each and every product I have interest in before I buy it. I'm sure it was inconvenient for Betty to have to rewrap the purse that I had not personally inspected yet, but can you blame me? The time before that, the one I assumed they checked had a huge nail scratch on it...she was incredibly understanding and sweetly offered to rewrap it with no hesitation! Maybe this store does have potential after all?? I love coach, but with employees like Betty, I love it even more! read more

So on a endless journey with the wife so she can find the perfect "wristlet/s" we found ourselves here at the Montebello Town Center I mean The Shops at Montebello or whatever it is they like to be called now after outing some stores in favor of higher end places like Coach. My wife went ahead of me and was already looking around and being helped by staff by the time I returned from See's Candy. haha. I was able to sit down at one of two chairs in the middle of the store while she shopped. It seemed like this place had more selection than the Glendale Galleria one. There were also less shoppers and more staff and they were very friendly and helpful. More so than some of the ritzier ones like South Coast or even Glendale. Because of that my wife found two wristlets. So I guess she's "a fan" while i'm more "eek's me think not" cause I'm a cheap bastard. Give it a shot, don't dismiss it because it's Montebello. read more

Well, i've been to this particular store too many times to count. I've had no bad experiences. The salespeople have always been courteous. There's one guy whose name i don't remember at the moment, but he's very helpful. He's been there for several years and i know he's married because he buys his wife a Coach purse every year. Aww, how sweet!I'm a big fan of Coach and this store is beautiful and if you don't like the store or the salespeople you can always walk on over to Macys.
