    My wife and I stopped by Dick's today, browsing through several different departments…read more We hadn't planned to make any purchases, however when walking through the sneaker department, we were approached by a sales representative, Dylan, who greeted us with a very friendly smile. He asked whether we were looking for anything in particular and immediately offered to assist. My wife explained that we were just browsing, but also said that we might be interested in a lite weight sneaker for me. Dylan explained that there were several good options in different brands and offered to assist. He was so nice and helpful that we agreed to see what's available. Long story short, Dylan took the time to show us several different brands and types, then worked with us on size, width, styles and colors. We inquired about the availability of Velcro as opposed to standard laces. In response he showed us a special shoe lace that quickly secures a sneaker with minimal effort. Dick's has such a wide ranging selection of sneakers which had previously discouraged us from taking time to sort through all of the many options. If not for Dylan's friendly and professional assistance this would likely have been just another fast pass through the department. We very much appreciated his assistance without a hard sell or feeling any pressure to make a final decision or immediate purchase. We purchased New Balance sneakers, Lock Laces and a tee shirt. Date: 12/7/25, 3:36PM, Store: 932 Trans: 9702 Frankly, this was equal to the best customer service that we've experienced anywhere we shop. Will return to shop for my wife's sneakers shortly.

I asked an employee for help finding an MLB baseball, and he rudely just pointed over there before going back to what he was doing. I was still completely lost on where to find the item, so I decided to leave. I ended up buying the baseball at Big 5 instead, where the customer service was excellent. I'm not going back. I would prefer to go anywhere else.

    This review is directed at ownership and management…read more I frequent Turner's for fishing gear and have consistently had positive experiences with the older gentleman in that department. He's knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and genuinely helpful. He represents what a specialty retailer should be. I've spent 1000's on firearms and ammunition over the years. Unfortunately, this visit was the opposite. I came in looking for M&P Shield 9mm magazines. Only one in stock -- not a problem. I figured I'd grab some ammo while I was there. As I stood in front of the ammo section trying to read the boxes, two employees directly in front of me made zero effort to acknowledge me. Not a "Can I help you?" Not even eye contact. Instead, they were occupied repeatedly racking the slide on a pistol and discussing how it was "blemished." The way it was being handled made it feel less like product inspection and more like someone building a case for why it should be discounted. I can't say for certain that the larger employee was intentionally trying to create or exaggerate wear to justify purchasing it himself -- but if that wasn't the case, the optics were spectacularly poor. What really stood out was the conversation. They were openly speaking negatively about other customers -- people who sounded like regulars -- directly in front of me. It takes a certain level of tone-deaf confidence to mock customers while another one is standing three feet away. I finally asked if they might have additional magazines in the back. The larger employee ignored me initially. When he did respond, it was with, "Are you talking to me? I'm doing paperwork," as though customer interaction was an unreasonable interruption. This was moments after he demonstrated that he was fully capable of multitasking slide manipulation and social commentary. I briefly considered asking for a manager, but decided it wasn't worth engaging further. If basic awareness and professionalism are optional on the floor, that's a leadership issue, not just an employee one. I left disappointed -- not because inventory was limited, but because the standard of service was. Specialty stores survive on expertise and professionalism. When that slips, you're just a warehouse with attitude. I hope management takes this seriously. There are strong employees at this location. Unfortunately, consistency appears to be selective.

    This review is solely based on the archery range experience…read more On a free day, I wanted to try something different, so I brought the family here for some archery range time. The gentleman, Chris, who managed this section of the store was great. He was patient and gave very clear instructions on the ins & outs of archery. It was a fun way to learn something new, and I might go back for some more. The store itself was quiet. The archery section is towards the rear left of the store. Turners carry a lot of gears for outdoor sports. There's plenty of parking as it's shared with Stater Bros and other businesses. They don't take reservations for the range time so it'll be walk-in, but a good idea to call ahead to make sure there's no special event going on.
