When I realized the mistake, I politely asked if that item could be removed from the transaction. The cashier immediately responded, "I can't," and offered no explanation or attempt to help. A manager was called over and seemed visibly annoyed. We were told there were only two options: either void the entire transaction and wait approximately 20 minutes for the gift card funds to be restored, or pay the difference and then return the football cards afterward for store credit. Since there was no way I was spending an additional $63 on football cards, we chose to void the transaction and wait. We specifically discussed that it was Father's Day, that we needed to get to a family dinner, and that we would wait the required 20 minutes so my son could repurchase the correct items. The manager advised us to wait near the entrance or continue shopping. After the 20-minute wait, we spent another 15 minutes waiting for the same cashier to help us complete the purchase, only to discover that all of my son's items had been returned to the sales floor. We were then told, "You just left the items," despite the fact that we had clearly communicated our plan and followed the instructions we were given. What bothered me most was not the store policy itself, but the complete lack of customer service. There was no apology, no empathy, and no effort to make a frustrating situation easier--especially for a child trying to use birthday gift cards. The entire interaction felt dismissive and unnecessarily difficult. The saddest part was that my son left the store in tears instead of excited about his birthday gifts. What should have been a fun experience became a frustrating and upsetting one due to poor communication and a lack of basic customer service.

Apparently the signs which they have in front of each register that say "IF YOU ARE NOT COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH YOUR PURCHASE YOU MAY RETURN IT FOR AN EXCHANGE OR REFUND WITHIN 60 DAYS" doesn't mean what it says. I was told since I used the boots they couldn't take them back. I demanded a refund, and eventually the manager. She told me the return policy clearly says they don't take back used merchandise. I asked "where does it say that" she said "it says it right here", so I paused briefly and read the whole policy. She pointed to the sentence "Purchases of irregular quality or defaced-label items are not eligible for return". It doesn't say anything about used. I explained "that's not what that says. If they didn't want used returns, they would use the word used". Eventually after some fussing she refunded my money. I asked for the 800# to corporate. I called them later, and got some illiterate person who didn't speak colloquial English, and was speaking so quietly I couldn't hear. I hung up and called a second time, got another whispering person. Hung up, called a third time, the third time at least I could hear them, but their 3rd world English was poor, and I'm not 100% sure they escalated my problem to anyone. I got an automated email and no follow up. I am now 100% done with Columbia. Product quality issues repeatedly, warranty refusals, poor customer service, arguments over wording of return policies. Forget it. REI is a much better value.

Christian was the gentleman that helped me out along side a trainee. I understand when training someone, things may take a while. And it did. Buuuuut, even though he was training someone while helping me out. It was still one of the fastest transactions I've experienced compared to other locations. Very knowledgeable in his line of work which is greatly needed especially dealing with legal transactions as these. Answered all my questions with understandable explanation with no hesitation. What I was most impressed about is how he was guiding his trainee. Never once belittled them when they would make a mistake or didn't understand a certain line on the paperwork. Instead would guide them on how to fix or correct it in a friendly and professional manner. Because I've seen managers do that before and it gets so awkward. So kudos to Christian for not letting any sort of Ego get in his way. Bottom line. I'm happy with my purchase, and the customer service I received upon arrival!

After weeks of trying to find a handgun during the pandemic, I discovered this great shop right in my back yard. The whole staff was very friendly and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I truly can't say enough about how great they were to me. The girl that helped me out (forgot her name sorry) was even so kind to do me the favor of selling me a firearm that had just come in a few minutes before it was my turn in the shop, that wasn't even logged in their system yet. Andre really made me feel like I knew him for years in the way he chatted with me and even gave me discount passes for a great shooting range. I made my first purchase of a fire alarm about two weeks ago. With the coronavirus shut down, I was having trouble finding a gun store that did not have a waiting list. So I listed the help of Siri, and she guided me to FF firearms. The staff at FF firearms made my experience pleasant and I just want to thank them. Great shop staffed by great people. I just purchased a Walther P22. When into the shop several times before I purchased the gun and Kale who was there each time was super friendly and helpful. I have numerous handguns and rifles and I've been to shops where those working there were extremely arrogant. When I went to pick up the gun Kale wasn't there but the lady (sorry I didn't catch your name) and another guy (again didn't catch his name) were there and were both equally helpful and friendly. Times are rough and I got desperate, so I decided to give them another shot. To my surprise, I was actually let in this time! All it took was 2.5 hours of waiting! They definitely favored several people who just arrived and let them in first. I saw it while waiting outside and saw it while I was inside. Horrible business ethics.
