I've bought two firearms from Ryan and just went back recently to shop around for something new. After a few years since I'd been in the shop and some new faces joining Ryan's team I still felt welcome, comfortable and at ease with superb service. Wanney's won't upsell you something you don't need, and they won't downsell you junk- When you step into the shop you're going to be met with service that aims to meet your need and price point. Outstanding values, fantastic customer service and a wide selection of firearms in a great local "small town" feeling shop. read more

What can I say about Ryan and his team? Every time I walk into Wanney's Firearms, I feel like I'm walking into family. Ryan runs the shop the right way, honest, knowledgeable, and friendly. Dee has helped me countless times and treats you like a friend, not just another sale. They run by appointments to take their time with you, answer every question, and make sure you walk out confident with what you're buying. The vibe, the service, the selection... everything is on point. Hands down my favorite shop. This is exactly how a firearm store should be run. read more

Great place. Went for information and they delivered!! Provided referral for lessons and helped me prepare by getting supplies in advance. Brian and Cesare are kind, knowledgeable , and really willing to help a naive walk in customer. I'm going back after lessons and Brian is going to help me prepare weapon for storage. Difficult to find but really worth the effort. Only negative is really limited parking!! read more

This place is a gem!!!!! I had been in the market for months for a handgun after doing so much research I ended up here and was so happy I did. Ryan is great! Helpful, friendly, and takes time to be as informative as possible. This is where I buy all my ammo now and recently ordered another gun that I am sending here because they are secure and trustworthy. If in the area, don't look anywhere else. read more

Albert & Mr. Brown are the best. As a female, it's hard to walk into a gun store without being talked down to, or treated like dirt. These two treated us equally and explained to us anything we needed to know without acting like we were a nuisance. We first went to Turner's where we were talked to condescendingly, and ended up leaving without anything. Now I'm a proud owner of 2 handguns, and a long rifle thanks to the fellas at Wannay's store. Turner's missed out and I'll eventually leave a review there to let them/others know. If you're a female, these guys at Wannay's will treat you as they should... no different. If you're new to guns, regardless of sex, these guys at Wannay's will help you with all you need to know. 10/10 recommend. read more

The place has crazy good selections and good guys working there. That being said, they have a ridiculous business practice where you have to put in a deposit to make an appointment to do the paperwork to buy the gun. So on top of the long waiting period, you have to waste more time by making an appointment. So you'll have to go to the store 3 times to finally get your gun. Oh and if you do give your deposit and decide you do not want to wait, they'll keep your deposit money for doing absolutely nothing. The owner of this place needs to change his business practice. read more

These people are the best. Their appointment-style service is amazing and I really felt like I wasn't being rushed with buying unlike other places. They had a nice selection of firearms and knowledgeable employees (shoutout Dikran) who seem to know everything about every weapon they have on display. If I were to buy again, I'd definitely come back to Wanney's :) read more

Super great guys. Took us (me) a bit to coordinate my appointment for consignment sale due to scheduling conflicts, but got it completed finally, and it was a pleasant and expedient experience. I was hoping for a bit more given what we paid for the guns initially, but received for them about what I expected considering the specifics, and they did do me a solid or two in the process - and regardless, the guys were great to work with. All in all, a positive experience. I doubt I'll ever need to sell firearms again, but if I do, I'll call them first. And I'll certainly call them first if I ever want to buy one. Hell, I'd even stop in just to shoot the shit with them. read more

Poor customer service and didn't seem to want to help me remove a red dot from my gun. Wanted to charge me over $100 to do it. I would have done it myself but didn't have the tools and was only charged $30 to put it on a year ago. He seemed irritated as soon as I walked in and as he was speaking to me. read more

Great little hidden gem, I must have driven by this place 100's of times and didn't even know it was there. Customer service is top notch, you won't be waiting an hour + like some other stores which will remain unnamed in the LA and OC area. Also The best place to do ammo transfers. read more

I randomly came across this shop last year when looking for a specific firearm. They have been the only shop that I've been to that have been treated like a normal person. Thank you again guys read more

Would definitely recommend shopping here, was my first time purchasing a fire arm and they gave me a lot of advice and showed me many options to choose from. There was a specific firearm i was looking for that other spots did not have and they had it in stock, ended up choosing a different option after carefully picking. Long overdue review here (sorry Ryan!) I first reached out to Wanney's Firearms in August of 2020 about a purchase, and it has quickly become a second home. Ryan has the highest level of professionalism and is dedicated to providing stellar service to all of his customers. His shop is appointment based and provides 1-1 service which is a big plus for any first time buyers with lots of questions, or anyone looking to discuss major work/customizations. Wanney's does it all, and deserves your business! read more

Had a great experience. First time here. Very knowledgeable very fun personalities. I will be coming back. Very honest. Thank you.

Mostly a one man show with appointments. But that is fine if you know what you want and not just window shopping. I'd recommend this place to anyone. Been there many times and always had a good experience. read more

Where do I start?! I was referred to Ryan's shop last year sometime amidst the peak of the ridiculous "pandemic panic". After having trouble finding anything I really wanted.. my friend threw me a bone by giving me info to the shop. After texting him, we got me on the list for a few guns I was in the market for and made an appointment to purchase my first AR-15. After a smooth and effortless process (effortless on my part), I had a beautiful brand new Stag Arms rifle. Half a year later now, I have purchased 2 AR-15, a Glock 19, an MP5, and loads of work done to my guns. Any custom work or parts you need, he's right on it. The man works inhuman hours to serve his community and to ensure we feel confident and safe during a time where our own government can't do that for us. Thank you for all that you do Ryan!! I'm looking forward to the many more purchases to come. Anyone on the fence about where to go, don't hesitate. Look no further, and shoot him a text!! read more

I went to Ryan to buy my first firearm(1911). He showed a lot of patience and care when it came to showing me all the ins and outs of my 1911. Learn from me so you won't have to make an extra trip; bring your: Gun Safety certificate(they can provide this after taking a test, done and provided same day) Passport or State issued ID(the REAL updated ID that will be required going forward after 10/2020 for air travel) If you don't have the REAL ID, a birth certificate with your regular state issued ID is fine which is what I did. Ryan was very nice and knowledgeable. I had to make an appointment to meet with him. Not sure if this is typical for his business or because of the covid19 situation, but regardless, his communication is great and didn't have any issues for our 3 appointments. I appreciate this especially after hearing stories from friends whom have had bad experiences with communication with the dealer they chose. They were also new gun buyers. I think most customers including myself would be okay with delays as long as their dealer is communicating with them. But FYI, didn't have any delays with Ryan. Just the department of justice background check wait which is a minimum of 10 days. Wait time can be up to 30 days during this covid19 pandemic. Gun sales are up 300%!! Be patient. I'm looking forward to doing more work with Ryan on the AR15 I want to custom build with him. Be safe new gun buyers! read more

2020 has been a crazy year and like the majority of Americans I needed a firearm for home defense. After a quick search on Yelp I found Wanney's Firearms and called to make an appointment. This being my first time purchasing a firearm Ryan walked me through the process and legality of buying and owning a gun. This was during the early stages of civil unrest and there was a national gun shortage due to panic buying. Unfortunately every FFL including Wanney's only had a limited selection, a pistol in 22lr and a revolver in 357 mag, were the only guns he had available for purchase. I ended up getting the revolver even though they say it shouldn't be your first gun because it's a hand cannon and reloading in a self defense situation isn't ideal. After filling the paperwork and eventually picking up the firearm I couldn't believe how smooth the whole transaction was. I often hear stories of other FFL giving their customers the run around or ignoring them outright but here Ryan keeps you up to date on everything. You can tell him what guns you want and all you have to do is wait for the text to start the paper work. He's like a concierge for guns! I most definitely recommend Wanney's to anyone looking to buy a gun. read more

Ryan is the easiest person to deal with. Appointment base meetings make sure he is there to answer all your questions and help you with anything you need. I had no issues fixing my rifle or purchasing a handgun/ammo. Best local shop. Beats going to turners and waiting an hour in line. read more

Great place. Walked me through the process as a first time buyer and I have no complaints.

Yea, listen to the reviews.. You can't go wrong here. Prices are good, Ryan goes out of his way to make sure it's a pleasurable experience without a testosterone raged demeanor like some other gun stores. Lot's of goodies in stock and if you are the type of person that requires a little extra time asking questions or filling things out my impressions of Ryan lead me to believe that he would be more than happy to accommodate you in getting you into what you want and that things are filled out correctly. I think I've found my new place to make all my purchases thanks to my brother. Keep in mind that it is appointment only.. I got my appointment next week and probably another one in the next 60 days LOL gotta save some more money =) read more

Ryan, I just wanted to thank you for today. I have learned so much about firearms because of you. The experience of your shop is truly remarkable. You took your childhood experiences you shared with your pops and turned it into something incredible that others like me can look forward to sharing. It is the once in a lifetime opportunity like today being able to hold a WWII Nazi Mauser. That was truly amazing! Some people question the price of certain of what the guns cost, but they got that all wrong. Thats the LAST question they should be asking right after they say they WANT it. The idiots that called you today to see if you "rent guns or work on air rifles"; make the shop experience even more worthwhile. What I have learned and what I have yet still to find out about firearms is priceless! read more

Just an honest review from a first-time purchaser. Ryan behaved in a very self-important manner this morning. He carries on a nicely when you're buying an overpriced gun (hence the current 5-star ratings, which until now I would have agreed with) but when you try to get info on your ammo that you've already paid for and had delivered to his shop, he becomes the severe ammo god who makes sudden threats to return your package when you're just trying to understand the process and get your ammo as soon as possible. Then when he does text when to pickup ammo he tells you what they charge versus what "other people" charge and that they EXPECT a tip. I even heard him press it *again* to the guy picking up his ammo ahead of me. Repulsive. He didn't bother to do so with me as I assume he already knew he fucked that all up with me this morning. Two stars instead of one because I will again admit he is generally nice but he's way too quick to burn customer bridges with his attitude. Maybe the scarcity of the pandemic has given him a bit of a power trip, idk, but things won't always be this way and he would do well to remember that. Threats will never pay you long term like I would have otherwise. Also, the gal that works with him was very sweet so, there's that. I can't honestly say I don't recommend this shop because, save this morning's issue, I wouldn't have any problem rating 5-stars. *If* they are as comparatively cheap as they say they are (ammo transfer was $6, my glock was about $800 so do your own research to verify) then you would be right to come here and save money if you buy these items with frequency. But in a customer oriented business, you just don't get to be a jerk at any point. So, as you requested, I will never send anything to your shop again. read more

Wanney's Firearms is just the kind of caring, courteous gun buying experience you would want--either as a beginner or a long time shooter. Their selection in stock is fantastic, especially if you love American classics. Just took a lovely M1a off their hands, and let me tell ya--the wood furniture is absolutely gorgeous. Their stash of both new and consignment firearms is gorgeous--truly works of art that pack a punch too. The staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and personable. They will get your pieces tuned to maximum precision, and won't make you feel pressured or foolish. These folks love their craft, love firearms, and will get you set up proper. They wont stick it to you with crazy up-charges either. What you buy is worth every penny. read more
