The transfer with them wasnt that bad but i was told i get 1 free clean once i break in my gun and when i came back for that free clean i was told they only give free cleans when the gun was brought from them. I explained when i picked up my gun the gunsmith told me i can get 1 free clean once i break it in. And they just kept saying i was wrong. Only free cleans when buying from them. Which left me very disappointed due to being lied to when I first left the shop. I guess the shop does not stick too their word. Its okay. Never coming back or doing transfers with them. This place is unprofessional with there business on selling guns I had purchased a gun there.they said it was a 10 day hold then pick up the gun after the hold is done. So I waited those 10 days I called the place and the owner of the store couldn't even me any date the gun was coming. then I call him again couple days later on and same answer,it's been 28 days since I haven't gotten no answer from him. I presented the required ID and documents, took the test, passed it, and received my certificate the same day. The store has a variety of handguns, revolvers, and long guns. Not sure where all the bad reviews on the owner and customer service are coming from. I bought my first gun here but before that I had already been to this shop a couple of times. The owner was very patient with me each time and I didn't feel pressured to buy anything. I wanted to make sure I had the right gun for me before buying so I went from store to store. Turners didn't work for me because of how big and busy the store is, I felt rushed. The owner of this shop took his time explaining features and comparing different guns. First time gun owner review. I was recommended to come here by a security guard I know that has quite a few pistols. He told me it would cost a little more but you wont feel pressured to buy anything and they would answer all of your questions. I took his recommendation and came in a few weeks ago. A lady helped me and had me do the Firearm Safety Certificate test. I passed and looked at guns and she answered all my questions and gave me her opinion on the guns I liked (I youtubed a lot before coming in). She also gave me her recommendation and what the most popular ones are for the first timers. I ended up getting the Springfield XD9. I waited my 10 days and bought some bullets and they let me know they do free cleanings (unlimited). I thought they were helpful, nice and attentive to my needs. I looked online later that i couldve saved a few bucks here and there but i dont mind paying extra for smaller local shops. I support a lot of local stores (restaurants/groceries/breweries) around my neighborhood and I don't see this being any different. I'll be taking my XD9 out to the range this weekend... read more

If you have a line that will make you stay till 6 that's not our problem that's business and it's not like your not making any money! This is a nice little store that is a few bucks extra than anywhere else but they do have some deals and I prefer the small store with less crowd than a store full of people. Good place to buy parts last minute. People don't understand this is a small shop. Not large corporation. So yes prices are a few bucks more than big store places. But what ever it takes to keep these small shops open I will contribute $2 or $3 more will not hurt. And for people that don't know gun laws. When you make a private party transfer it is required by law to either buy a new sealed lock or have a receipt for a new one that was purchased few weeks before. I live 30-45 minutes away but I will still take drive just cause this is the place will usually have what I'm looking for. read more

I went to this place to transfer a firearm that I had to a friend of mine, and these guys are complete f*cking clowns. They lied and forced my friend to buy all types of equipment that he didn't need, saying that it was required by the state. Then they lied about their fees. the dude behind the counter started talking sh*t about me, when I pointed out that the things he was doing were not right and the equipment he was forcing my friend to buy were not required by the state. I understand the economy is hard, and we all have to make our money. But you can't run a business lying to customers about what is required by the state for a simple gun transfer. Forcing customers to buy your products, and then lying saying that the state requires that you buy these products is bullsh*t. read more

You will be overcharged on almost anything you buy, and when you ask, you will always be given some excuse like "because of this or that", but just go to Turners in Norwalk, better selection and cost is much lower!
