I've been here twice and they're very beginner friendly. If it's your first time shooting a gun, they'll train you on how to use it with a practice bullet. Safety is their #1 priority and they tell you to have the door closed before opening the other door to minimize gun noises. They also have protective gear such as glasses, noise cancellation headphones and earplugs.

Long wait, but if you're special you can cut the line.

This place is horrible. No signage about the special front of the line for their friends. They make you wait in line while special people get to come right in. Waste of time. Do not go to this place.

First review of 2025! First shooter today too, put the first one down range! Only brought the EDC pistol; SIG P365 AXG Legion. Add Romeo-X enclosed compact red dot. Super convenient for West Los Angeles shooters. Not to mention they have a comprehensive ammunition retail store - fully stocked with range ammo plinkers to high-end self defense rounds or long range, high velocity hunting rounds. Most ranges "nearby" require a lot of drive time or are super expensive requiring memberships. Range fee here is twenty bucks ($20). Gun rentals available but I've never done that so not sure about quality or models, pistol or rifle. I always see a lot of folks renting so seems like it's popular! Check it out, enjoy! Lastly, I like the staff, all the guys are polite and work you through what can be long lines on weekends, and they always make newbies feel comfortable.

GSSF Indoor Match Schedule 2012.

Another fantastic match took place yesterday at The LAX Firing Range, with a turnout even larger than Round #1 last month. The doors opened promptly a few minutes before 7 AM, and by 7:30 AM, we were off and running. A total of 6 relays were completed before opening to the public at 10:30 AM. My performance was a bit mixed across the five divisions I competed in, but I was able to achieve a perfect score (500) with 35X in Unlimited. Here are my scores: - MOS: 493 36X - Unlimited: 500 35X - Stock: 485 34X - Rimfire: 486 37X - Pocket: 241 16X The final match, Round #3, will be held on Saturday (04/19). In addition to plaques and other prizes, one lucky participant will walk away with a brand-new GLOCK 19.

Straight forward place to go a let off a few rounds. Also completed my ccw qualification here. They are knowledgeable and friendly. Get you in the lane and keep everybody as safe as possible. Wish you could do holster draw or rapid fire but I guess they're trying to keep everything as safe as possible. Will continue to come here when I need to get my fix.

The first guy at the ammo desk was nice and he answered our questions. He acted like he cared about his job. When we went to the firing range the guy that showed us how to handle the gun was really nice. However, when we went back to the ammo desk there was another worker and he was really rude. He barely answered our questions and when we put in our address he kept saying "you failed" because we accidentally put another address. He didn't clearly explain what was going on. He was more focused on giving us a rude tone and attitude and telling us that we failed. Don't go here ever.

Target practice for AR-15! Fun times. Still working on my aim.

Phil built my rifle from parts I ordered and it operates flawlessly. He made recommendations for parts to get for the build and I ordered them without question. Over the years he has added mods and has made adjustments that continue to improve functionality, appearance, and accuracy. His skill as a gunsmith is such that I would not trust my stuff to anyone else. The quality of his builds and craftsmanship are worth every cent and the turnaround is reasonable. He is also an invaluable wealth of knowledge when it comes to anything regarding firearms and firearms repair. He is my go-to guy whenever I have a question or need a recommendation. If you ever need a purchase transferred I believe they are also FFL certified and can assist with purchase transfers. Full-service at its best. Additionally, he will Cerakote anything you need that can be Cerakoted. I needed custom paint on some Hella Sharptone horns to add to my Triumph Bonneville and LAC did excellent work. I felt that regular paint would be too delicate, so Phil and Co did a beautiful job with the color and application to get the horns to integrate with the colors on the moto. My girl feels a lot better knowing I trashed the puny stock horn in favor of these 90 dB dual blasts on the LA streets, and I feel a lot better knowing they integrate well with the color scheme and don't make my bike look like an amateur rat build. They are definitely a busy shop, but the reasons are clear: these guys live for their work and their customers know it, which is why I will keep coming back!

It's my first time walking in and…read morethe guy at the front desk goes off on some conversation about how the last customer he just helped out was upset because he couldn't get with a girl that this manchild was seeing, I really didn't care at all what he had to say, but he decided to show me a bunch of girls Instagram that he was "supposedly" sleeping with. I don't know if it was his first time finally getting with a girl in his life or something but dudes don't just tell people about a girl they're sleeping with more or less if its with a stranger. I just wanted my gun cerakoted so I told him the colors that I wanted my gun to be and got down to business. Some time goes by and my gun gets cerakoted but in the process, the gunsmith ended up breaking my front sight post on my handgun. I have no issue with this so long as they decided to replace the sight which the manchild at the front said that he would. When I came to pick up the repaired sight that they had ordered for me, it wasn't the exact match that fit the gun. I noticed that the sites weren't the same height as the one I originally had, so I asked for a receipt so I could find out what he put on my gun and he wouldn't provide it to me and said he didn't have a receipt. I go and shoot my gun and I find out that all my shots are going high. I fond out the sight they installed was an Ameriglow. At the time of this writing, Ameriglow doesn't make sights for the Springfield Echelon. I called the store to tell them that my shots were off and they were high and that has to deal with the front sight that they put on my handgun. Over the phone I could tell that this little man pig child was giving me attitude over the phone, cutting me off and told me to just come in and he would reimburse me which overall I do appreciate that they reimbursed me, but that's only right and I would only expect that. I didn't want them touching my gun anymore so I went to another gunsmith to exchange out the new site that I had bought. When I went over to the store to return the site that they had gave me and wasn't good for my handgun, the little boy man-child at the front desk still decided to cut me off and be rude to me as if it's my fault and I don't know what I'm talking about. First he told me he ordered the sight off the Springfield Website, but an Ameriglow is on my gun? This guy makes no sense. I was able to get my refund but again that's something that I fully expect, otherwise it's just plain robbery. Honest to God never coming back here nor I suggest anybody else come here and do your business with somebody who's actually more gun professional, and has a better head on their shoulders. I can't say anything about the gunsmith or anybody else that works in the back as I've never met them, but the fat retard that sits at the front is an absolute nightmare and I hope you see this too. Fix your attitude.

During the online purchase process, Sako suggested a few FFL's, and Guns LA was one of them. I said yep, although I had never been here, and away we go. A few weeks later, I received an email notice that the rifle had arrived at Guns LA, and I drove over to go through the transfer drill. They buzzed me right in, I was greeted by a couple of the guys, and they handled everything right away. Typical easy California transfer: pages of paperwork, produce CDL, provide DNA sample, raise your right hand and swear you are not a communist or a Klingon, take a polygraph...the usual drill. Because they have a highly Yelp rated gunsmith, I handed them the Leopold scope and mounting rings I had purchased and asked them to mount it (yeah...as if I could have mounted it). No problemo. Ten long days later, I returned (and yes, the DROS paperwork stamps the exact minute from the ten days you started the process and you are damn RIGHT I was there at the exact minute to accept my rifle). They gave me a break on the price of mounting the scope since I did the transfer paperwork there, which was generous and unexpected. Everything was perfect. Recently, I noticed some parts were coming loose and was concerned about safety. I reached out to a few shops, and while the first place was willing to help, I felt like they were more focused on trying to sell me something rather than genuinely helping with my issue. Thankfully, I found Guns LA right around the corner. After seeing their great reviews on Yelp and Google, I decided to stop by and I'm so glad I did. Deon helped me from the start and was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. He never made me feel uncomfortable and took the time to explain everything clearly. Not only did he inspect and fix my firearm, but he also spent time teaching me how to properly use my Holosun sight and gave me helpful tips to improve my shooting. He even shared a flyer for private training lessons, which I really appreciated. Best of all, there was zero pressure to buy anything. He genuinely cared about helping me, not making a sale. When I returned to pick up my handgun, Deon and Mike explained that the previous dealer had actually left out some important parts, something they couldn't believe. Luckily, Guns LA has a certified gunsmith on staff (apparently one of the only ones within a 20-mile radius), and they took great care of everything. I'm extremely grateful to have found this place. They've earned my trust and my business. I'll definitely be coming back for future purchases, and they're now the only shop I'll trust with my handguns and AR-15. Highly recommend Guns LA if you're looking for honest, professional, and knowledgeable service! Big thank you to Deon

However, my most recent visit has been frustrating. I dropped off a handgun at the end of November for three services and was quoted 6-8 weeks max. We are now approaching 15 weeks, and my firearm is still not ready. Can't even reschedule my class as the staff has been unable to give me a date each time I've called. I didn't want to leave a negative review because my previous experiences here have been great, but this delay is honestly unreasonable. If I would have known the turn around time I would have skipped on services. A friend of mine dropped off his handgun at a different shop for the same services and had it back within a month. I am paying full price for 2 of the 3 services so I might as well have just taken it to the other shop.. I would still consider purchasing items from this store, but unfortunately I will most likely not be returning here for gunsmithing services.

I try to support small local businesses whenever I can, especially ones in my own neighborhood. In early January I stopped into Addax Tactical while I was out riding my e-bike with my dog. The staff were friendly, they were cool about my dog being there, and they even let me bring my bike inside. My first impression was positive. A little later I went back to order a rifle. I wanted a Henry Big Boy .357 Lever Action Rifle. They didn't have it in stock, and I was told it would take about two to three weeks to arrive because the SHOT Show convention was coming up. While doing the paperwork, I also decided to purchase a Ruger 10/22 so I could complete both purchases with a single background check. I left a deposit of about $1,200 toward roughly $2,000 total for the two rifles. Both rifles are very standard models that most gun stores typically have available or can obtain quickly. I could have easily purchased them elsewhere, but I made a deliberate choice to support a smaller shop in my neighborhood and was willing to wait the extra couple of weeks. Based on the timeline I was given, I expected the rifles to arrive by late January and to have them in my possession by mid-February after the required 10-day waiting period. That didn't happen. After three weeks I called to check on the order. Nothing had arrived yet. I waited another week and called again. Still nothing. The responses were always very casual, with little explanation other than that the rifles had been ordered. Around six weeks into the process, I was told the Ruger had arrived but they hadn't called because they assumed I wanted to pick up both rifles at the same time. I went in immediately and started the paperwork to take possession of the Ruger. During that visit I learned something that had never been mentioned before: the Henry rifle had not actually shipped yet, and the shop generally places firearm orders in batches rather than ordering individual rifles. This was the first time I had heard that, even though the original estimate had been two to three weeks. At that point I agreed to upgrade to the octagonal-barrel version of the Henry since I had always wanted that model anyway, and I was told the change would not affect the delivery timeline. After the 10-day waiting period I picked up the Ruger and again asked about the Henry. The answer was still that it had not arrived yet. By this point we were about eight weeks into the process, with no clear timeline. About a week later I called again and received the same answer. At that point I decided to cancel the Henry order and request a refund. I was told the refund would come from accounting and that I should expect a check in two to three weeks. After two weeks I called again and was told it could take up to 30 days. I eventually went to the shop in person to check on the refund. This time I was told I could not bring my bike or dog inside, even though I had been there several times before with both and it had never been an issue. Eventually I received a call saying the refund check had arrived. For the sake of transparency, I'm writing this from memory without the receipts directly in front of me, so the dollar amounts may be off by a few dollars either way, but the numbers below are very close to what was paid and refunded. When I picked up the check, the amount returned was about $370 out of the roughly $1,200 deposit I had paid. That means that after roughly 12 weeks, the final outcome of this transaction is that I effectively ended up with a $830 Ruger 10/22 -- a rifle that typically sells for a few hundred dollars at most gun shops. Even assuming some type of restocking fee, it's difficult to understand how that result makes sense, particularly for a rifle that, according to the shop, had not even shipped yet when I cancelled the order. I went into this purchase specifically because I wanted to support a small neighborhood business like Addax Tactical and was willing to wait longer than usual to do so. Unfortunately, after the delays, the lack of clear communication about how orders were handled, and the final refund outcome, the entire experience ended up being extremely frustrating. If you're considering ordering a firearm here, my advice would simply be to make sure you clearly understand the ordering process, timeline expectations, and refund policies before leaving a deposit. Posting this simply to document my experience so other customers know what to expect when placing a special order here.
