I had a really disappointing experience at this store. Unfortunately, two different managers - Eli and Rey failed to clearly explain the shopping guidelines/policies to us upfront, which created a very uncomfortable situation during our visit. Had the expectations been communicated properly from the beginning, the entire interaction could have been avoided. Instead, the experience became awkward and frustrating, and I ultimately left without purchasing the items I originally came in for. I completely understand stores having policies in place, but communication and professionalism matter. Customers should not be made to feel embarrassed or blindsided because staff failed to provide clear guidance. I hope management works on better training and consistency moving forward. read more

Located in the Pico Rivera Towne Center so it was easy to find parking. This store has great customer service! I was greeted as I went in and they hand me a basket and asked if I needed help or if I was looking for something specific. Then, they pointed out which ones had what sale or discount. Compared to several other Bath & Body Works, this one definitely floats my boat the best. The employees are friendly and efficient. The store is usually organized and clean. The only thing I absolutely detested in my past two visits was their system for accepting patrons awaiting their turn to enter the store during COVID-19 restrictions. I also thought the crazily wafting the candles and other products to smell them in front of my mask was a bit overkill. So for those two matters, I highly suggest that you order online for pickup. So I purchased for the first time a wallflower fragrance a few months ago. I needed a refill and I couldn't read anywhere on the bottle the name of the fragrance so I asked 3 employees and was told, save the label next time. Really? That's the assistance I get? Then one other employee said, it does state name on the top (difficult to read), however, she knew what I needed. What really upsets is, the others didn't even try to help! Manager, please show your employees where the scent is on bottle. Also, please train your employees to be more pleasant and helpful. Came to store to return 7 items I purchased 2 days ago. 6 of the items were part of the buy 3 get 3 free and Manager Angie would not refund the 6 items since the cashier scanned an extra lotion instead of body wash when I made the purchased. The price for both items were the same and the scent was the same. She did not know how to refund me and just decided to say she couldn't issue the refund for the 6th item. Visited this store for the first time this morning for SAS. FRI JAN 15th, 2021. After countless online orders being cancelled & nearly fed-up, I decided to give this store a shot. So glad I did! This staff was amazing - to the extent I felt compelled to write this review. The employees were obviously busy managing the store, but still took the time to answer my questions & help me with things that I was looking for. I felt bad that I was possibly taking too long selecting my items- but I was not made to hurry up or rush at all- that is important to me! Everything was super clean, sanitizing counters after each customer, everyone wearing masks. I cant say enough good things about this staff- I wish I would have caught their names. The two managers? at the registers (sweet beauty & cool-hair gentleman) (1045am) & the sweet, kind lady bustin her butt on the floor- (she must have helped me 3 or 4 times & never once appeared irritated- Each time with a smile on her face:) They were ALL exceptional ! These BBW employees were so incredibly kind= THAT is even more important to me than not being rushed. The sweet girl outside (Angela? Possibly-sorry I 4got ur name) was a doll too, engaging customers in the line outside & the sweet greeter at the door, as well:) People often write reviews griping & complaining about petty trivial things, without realizing how much crap employees have to deal with with difficult customers. It's not an easy job to cater to customers while managing a store & keeping everyone happy at the same time. Some would say "that's their job". Not me! This review is for: Store:82429 Reg:002 Cashier#:3360418 Just spent 187$ on candles on the annual sale, was going good even though we had waited past due for the doors to open, doors where supposed to open at four(04:00hours) allegedly, however, had opened around four thirty(04:30hours) allegedly due to the registers being down, even though the friends/family members had seemed to have no problems with their transactions, but where arriving very late to shop with the perk time and space. Provide by Bed&bath and Staff, amount those issues, upon attempting to finalize the transaction the server Ms.Clair had withheld the tote bags(reusable bags) that were to be provided upon purchase, the reason provided was that I had three trays ‍ however every friends and family member who had purchased items before and other fellow shop goes who had braved the elements had no similar issue, I had pursued the issue and the other cashier had advised Ms.Clair in her distress to provide me with one (1) bag even though I was entitled to the respected two, and as that was work the cashier Ms.Clair had then assisted my mother and had denied to scan her rewards and she had purchased about the same amount as I. Very disappointed, ruined a family tradition, and as a Customer, was totally disrespected by the staff and Businesses. It should choose it's representatives more appropriately if they do not agree with these actions. Also as I was completing my purchase I was advised that there was no limit to how many candles could be purchased with the sale, however on the app itself it clearly states there is a limit. Someone is going rogue. Thanks Bath and Body works but I thought you where better than this. My mistake. Thanks to the Pico River Staff for being woefully unorganized and for prioritizing their own rather than equalizing their service and care for both family and customer, family gets to walk in, no wait, no rain. Lastly, I always preferred in-store purchases, however this encounter has severely changed my mind on the matter. The folks here today have just demonstrated how obsolete the whole in-store transaction shopper experience is to impactful and such a burden for workers (with such aptitude) and it is sad.
