The lady with the septum gave me the wrong toner and now my hair is all fucked up!!! I wanted to bleach my hair blonde and I previously had semi permanent purple dye on my hair and the toner I received was a lavender toner that did absolutely nothing!!! Greeted as I walked in...an associate approached and I showed her what I was looking for a handheld razer comb. They didn't have this type I wanted...but I was shown an alternative. It was well constricted and a bit fancy with a comb for a handle and a two-sided comb. Drove to this Sally's to purchase some products. Both Candy a young girl with black hair nicely dressed and pretty makeup. The older woman who could have used a makeover herself, Ofelia had disheveled hair and wardrobe. So I don't think clients could possibly expect she knows her beauty products. I was one of two clients there. I was trying to get through details and directions on applications of the two products I was buying. Both were involved in personal conversations in Spanish as I was trying to figure out my purchase and going through the store deciding what else I might need. The other client left, and I kept roaming the store until 10min went by and I interrupted their chatter. Whatever prompts their lack of attention to clients is troubling, Don't like leaving reviews after 1st visit, but I should have read other yelpers reviews. There is a lot lacking at this place. I interrupted both ladies again as I wanted to check out and leave. Once at the register I had Candy give me a run down on application of products as I took notes. Apparently Ofelia thought this was funny and was making gestures to Candy as she pointed towards me. I asked Candy if I missed something funny and she replied... " Ofelia is just laughing." Unfortunately I saw her gesturing towards me as she laughed. As a rule, and common sence I expect an organized and well stocked store. First time being in this Sally's Beauty location. I live really close by and needed a few hair products. From a customer's perception, this was not a welcoming experience. The cashier was very rude and looked at me suspiciously from just walking in. I came in with my two younger children and we were browsing the store for a hair brush and gel. Once I got up to the register to ask the cashier if they had a certain gel, she gave me elevator eyes and said no. Not once did she greet or engage during my time in the store and kept a straight stale face. I didn't bother to get her name but whoever was working on Friday 3.17.23 at 4pm wearing a aqua colored shirt, you need customer service training. Customer service goes a LONG WAY, not only to build your customer loyalty and store sales but also to make your location stand out from the rest. Your impression that you leave on customers is so important, please put in more effort and be intentional when you clock in. read more

Every Sallys that I've been to, the girls look like they hate their job. Why do you work there?? If you can't even handle working there, how do you expect to work in a salon? I went in here today and all 3 workers just looked at me as I walked in. No greeting. I was like 'okay whatever. Just gonna buy what I need and get out.' Then I asked the younger employee with the purple lipstick a question and she replied with an attitude. Okay, whatever again. Then I go up to the register that is clearly open bc she's the only person there. I'm standing there waiting for her and she goes "do you need something?" Uhm yeah for you to start charging me maybe?? She asked for my sallys card and I gave her my student discount card and she said I can't use it bc it's expired. I've been to other sallys and I haven't had a problem with my card. Why now? She said I had to show proof that I'm still in school. The card clearly says I don't graduate until January 2015. I have shopped Sally's for over 20 years, so I am quite familiar with the stores. The one in Whittier is uncomfortable to shop in. So many nail products are "behind the counter", due to a theft problem. The problem with that, is there is not enough room or staff to help you with obtaining the product. My Feelings For This Place Are Bleh, While I Was Greeted Upon Entering I Wasn't Asked If I Needed Help. Usually Places Like These Ask You If You Need Assistance In Finding Certain Items, I Didn't Know Where To Find The Hair Cap I Was Looking For So I Had To Walk Around.. I wasn't going to write a review and just chalk it up to one bad days service there. But I have been there two times in the past week. And BOTH times, and by different sales rep. Horrible Customer service, I came in with a list... already pre planned items that I wanted to buy. And each time I asked for assistance, one lady would just point to a large selection of items and say 'in there' or 'over there'. I am am so happy with the customer service I recieved from Angela Villanueva because she was exceptional. She answered multiple questions that I had regarding products in your store, she clarified some of the sales that were taking place at the time of my purchase. She also gave me information about sales on the hair color I was purchasing. She split up my transactions into multiple transactions per my request, without complaining or sighing loudly like I have experienced in the last with other personnel. She was very welcoming and enthusiastic as customers like myself entered the store. Today, Angela has provided me with exceptional customer service like no other. My total purchases for today were $450 dollars due to her ability to promote and sell the different products at your store. I was greeted by Ofelia and she was very friendly, personal and professional. I let her know what I was looking for and she was able to recommend a few things for my hair.
