Hey I never usually do these but today felt like a good day to give feedback and thanks to the amazing associates at this location . Specifically naoemi ( I hope I spelled it right lol! Today August 19,2026 I went into the store with my mother who's battling cancer currently , it's been a rough 4 months undergoing chemo . My mother hasn't felt like herself within these months , today we went into the store to just restock on some of her favorites to start lighting up her days whenever she does her makeup , it was nerve racking entering the store with a wheelchair given we know stores aren't as handicapped equipped. Going into Ulta immediately we were received warmly , with questions if we needed help. We came across Noemi who helped us the whole time within the store , for the first time in a while my mom got to feel like herself again even if it was for a couple of minutes . Something as simple as going into the store to get items she had ran low on and tried new makeup shades lit up her day, it had been a while since my mom has even wanted to step out the house it took her convincing and today I'm glad we did. Noemi was more than kind , charismatic , helpful & patient , I want to give a huge thank you to her and hope her associates around her show her this review to let her know how amazing she's doing , she lit up the Ulta with her kindness and I hope she continues to do excellent things within her near future . Sometimes something that is an everyday task for associates simply isn't , I want this to be a moment that Noemi knows today she brought confidence to a woman who hasn't been herself in months , who's fighting cancer actively & for the first time in months she gifted my mom a moment of beauty . Zero stars across the board. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at an Ulta Beauty as a male shopper. I went in looking for skincare products and was browsing the store for specific brands when a brand specialist approached me and offered assistance. I told her which product I was looking for, and instead of helping, she simply said, "Go ask someone else who has a walkie-talkie." I then walked around the store trying to find another associate, but there was no one available to help. Eventually, I found the product on my own and left. read more

Today I went in for a haircut for my daughter and myself as I was pulling in I got a call saying that the hair stylist said she thought her Clint before was a hair cut and not high lights. That would of been perfectly fine if I would of got a call an hr or two before not a few minutes before. They did try to help me out and got my daughter with an other hair tech who was very nice and left my daughter beautiful his name memo. As for me I got the original tech who was spouse to do our hair . But right when I sat down Ariel looked at me and said are u okay me doing ur hair. I responded why wouldn't I she reply because I had u waiting right there I should of said no all wait for someone else When she rinse me didn't ask if the water was okay when she finish my hair that she didn't because she didn't do the finish texture she told me am going to move u to an other seat either I or someone else will blow out ur hair. Mine u I was sitting there a few minutes did not see her ask anyone to finish me. Till my daughter ask to speak to a manager and an other employee sort of blow out my hair so my daughter didn't talk to anyone So I do recommend memo for a great job on my daughter hair but other that I had a bad experience. Omg on top of that when I was getting my hair blow out he burn me with the blow dryer to finished this out didn't catch his name. I did pay for my services because I got a service done. But for my experience I will never go back with Ariel. read more

I had an appointment at 6 o'clock, arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment, and I waited and waited. 630. They still hadn't began my service, so I canceled and left. I'm a busy working mom, full-time employee, and a student. They had no respect of my time. I was completely disappointed, and it was a lack of respect and professionalism. read more

Disappointed in the salon services. It's been a few weeks since I visited and ultimately decided to review. I booked in advance for a Saturday morning appointment. The stylist did not come in and I received a call 2 hours before my appointment and was offered to reschedule on a different day. I declined. I was going out of town and chose a specific day. After some back and forth, the manager offered me a different appointment with another stylist that agreed to do my hair and I was told to come in 11:30. I get there 15 minutes early. A few employees come out to see my hair and ask what needed to be done, I explain. The manager then comes back over to tell me that it would take much longer than expected (the previous stylist noted a reaction to bleach- I tell them the issue was leaving it on for too long) she then agrees to continue but tells me I wouldn't be able to be seen for another hour. I tell them I wouldn't be able to come back and we adjust the services to my hair to accommodate their time and schedule. Once I sit in the chair, the stylist quotes me two times the amount I normally pay. She then explains that the stylist who did my hair in the past (at Ulta) charged me wrong and she couldn't match the price because she didn't want to get in trouble, which is understandable. I leave and call another Ulta location, they offered me an appointment after I explained the situation. I get there and have the best experience and asked more about pricing. I inform them that the pico location was charging me a different amount and they were unable to determine why the price increased so much and apologized for the experience I had. I just wish this location and management could've been honest from the beginning. I went there expecting to get my hair done and ultimately left disappointed and feeling like they were going to over charge me, make me wait and I was not even getting entirely what I wanted. read more

Busy but Nice Ulta! I normally order online and have my items shipped. The items that I order are not always available in store and have no choice but to have them shipped. There was plenty of parking and easy to find. There were some items available in store. I arrived to pick them up and noticed that there was a long line for the cashier. They had some good sales and I decided to check them out. I noticed the line wasn't going down so I went to look for the area to pick up my order. The area to pick up your online order is to the right when you walk in (it used to be by the cashiers). I was helped within a few minutes. The person who helped me was friendly and made the pick up quick and easy. Have your bar code and ID ready. They also offer curbside pick up. read more

I have never had a bad experience coming here even during christmas when lines are all around the store. Everyone is so helpful and they try to get everybody in and out as quickly as possible, but also take their time when they're helping you. I've never felt rushed when an associate is answering my questions or helping me find a product. I've also had hair services done here and have always been happy when I walk out the door. It's just an amazing Ulta, you guys are the best. Today the beautiful person that helped me doesnt even know how much such a small gesture impacted my experience. UPDATE!! They disputed the refund with my bank. Do NOT come here. Or if you do, and you get a bad haircut/color then expect Ulta to drag their feet, make it impossible to get a resolution to the problem, and then change their mind on their refund. I was reached out to by a customer service representative over a month after I reached out to Ulta. They stated they would provide a refund. Then, once I accepted, they changed their mind and said they would give me a gift card. I've spent hundreds of dollars fixing my hair, so a gift card from a place I'll never return to or get my hair done is a joke. NEVER MIND the fact that their manager yelled at me, no one ever reached out. I never signed any agreement stating in the case I had to accept a refund, it had to be in store credit. I am sick and tired of going back and forth with this situation. read more

I understand not being able to lift the hair color but not fixing and saying it should wash out and even out is a lie. I've been coming to this store since they opened, and it by far has the worst employees. From bad attitudes, to not wanting to help customers, to them thinking you're always stealing or micromanaging you as you shop making it uncomfortable just to browse products etc. Anytime I've asked One for advice on a product, I'm looked at like I am bothering them so badly. Most of them end up saying they've never used that product or heard of it.. because they probably don't feel like helping or giving their review on it.. To actually flag down an employee that isn't acting extremely busy to help you is nearly impossible here. All the employees are either at the register/ behind the register, micromanaging other employees or in the back hiding. Nobody on the floor that is free to ever give advice or help out paying customers. The security guards are always way more friendly than most employees here. Not every single one of them has been horrible, but about 95% of them need better training read more

I've gotten my eyebrows waxed in the Ulta benefit brow bar before and have absolutely loved it. But today I decided to do something different and got my brows laminated for the very first time. my brow specialist, Beatriz, did such a wonderful job not only in the service but educating me and answering all the questions I had since I have never done lamination before. This store is so large. It has everything. I wish they carried Armani makeup (that's my shit). But I suppose it's still fun to go to the mall and get that. I thought, Hmmmm...I'm in desperate need of a haircut and I have had bad experiences experimenting with new hairdressers, ever since my to-go person disappeared off of the planet. Are THEY any good? I observed the hairdressers, and some clients getting their hair done. Everyone's hair looked terrific. Really nice color, cuts, shine, all of it. I scheduled an appointment a week later with (...Ugh forgive me. I can not remember. I will update once I recall). Well, she did a FABULOUS job. I have not been happy with a hairdresser in the last couple of years. I'm so relieved and thrilled that I found a place I can go to now, and it is in the convenience of being in my hometown. If I could rate one star I absolutely would. I went in to their salon for a scheduled bang trim. I scheduled with Dalel S. and asked for short, micro bangs. She looked confused as hell and asked what I meant. Micro bangs aren't some niche concept, they're popular and it's your job as a stylist to keep up with trends. I was worried and confused but showed her a couple of references. She absolutely BUTCHERED MY BANGS. I have no idea how they gave that girl her license whatsoever if she can't even trim a bang properly, is that not like one of the first things they teach you in cosmo school? I was pissed and asked for a manager. Martha G. came in and attempted to fix my bangs, but not before giving me an attitude like it was my fault her stylist is incompetent and should probably stay away from scissors forever. She kept me waiting in the chair for 30 min before "fixing" my bangs. Mind you, this is supposed to be a 15 min appointment but I spent almost 2 hours there because of their mistake. I contacted Ulta Corporate and they agreed that my hair looked awful but chose to do nothing to fix it, not even a refund or credit. My advice? Dalel girl, maybe look into another line of work. Would absolutely never book any service there again and I'm turned off by the entire company as a whole at this point. Sephora is better anyway. read more

This location is decent! Whenever I am here there is always a line--it is usually quite long and takes some time. I came the other day for an online order and was told by one of the staff to wait in the regular line. The cashier directed me to a different line and no one was there to help me for over 10 minutes. I was in store for a total of 30 minutes waiting for my online order--really defeated the purpose of ordering ahead. It was frustrating seeing staff noticing me waiting but not coming to help me, as well just not being aware of their own lines and designated stations for online orders. read more

I visited the hair salon and had an appointment with Stephanie, I came in with hair that had been neglected and some uneven bleaching. I asked for a touch up on the blonde portion and to dye my hair black all around, I also asked for a U cut trim. Stephanie did a lot more than what I expected. She fixed all the previous bleaching in my hair and really took her time to make sure it came out even without over processing or damaging my hair more than it already was. She didn't cut more than what I asked which I appreciate, she only cut what was damaged and made it U shaped like I asked. My hair looks so shiny and healthy. She gave me instructions on after care and recommended products I can use. I've gotten so many compliments, I'm in love. I will be coming back for a touch up . read more

So I visited this Ulta on August 29th and I got my ears pierced with one of of the girls who was very chill but forgot her name. She was very professional tho. I also got my hair done with josh tho and he made me feel seen he was very compassionate and I prob shouldn't of I was so comfortable with him I think I even trauma dumped. Was feeling so low that day but he def made my frown disappear. He cut wash cut and blow dried my hair and a bit of a unexpected therapy session lol. Anywho he was so sweet and made me laugh and I felt feeling like a different person. It's ppl like that make nervous experience feel like a breeze. Last person to cut my hair was my sister B4 she passed so it was very emotional for me and hard to find someone new to trust. I can't fully explain how much this day helped me and how josh did his thing. He has very light hands like he's just good at what he does. He's very present very knowledgeable kind hearted compassionate professional I mean I can go on and on it this thing has its limitations how much I can write a review about this particular store. I've been to other Ulta's but never have i felt this welcomed at a store even at a beauty salon. This is solely for the restroom . I had to go and asked a worker. They have one single restroom for customers and one for employees. Someone was already waiting so I stood there. When I got inside I should have just walked out but I couldn't wait. It was one of the worst bathrooms! As you can see by the video. I know no one wants to clean a bathroom but it needs to be done. At least check if there's toilet paper and soap! Plus, you have a salon right there where multiple people will use that restroom. I'm pretty sure the employee one is better. read more

Naomi is the absolute best and helped me a ton when I came in the other day!!!!!!!!!!! I asked question after question and she gave me great recommendations! I ended up buying a bunch of makeup. What I didn't tell her was it was for my own bridal makeup that I was going to do on myself LOL. My makeup turned out PERFECT!!!!!! Lasted all night, too! I tend to shop at this Ulta earlier in the morning during the week. This tendency has maximized my overall rating for this Pico Rivera beauty shop. Most recently (12/13/19) Melissa was very sweet at the register and got me back on the road fairly quickly. Ulta always has coupons on their app. Plus they constantly have "days of beauty" sales and flash sales. A working girl can spend a lot of money here if she isn't careful. Lol. This building is visible from Washington Blvd. Parking is free. Cleaner, more organized, and better stock than other Ultas in a 10 miles radius. TIP - personally I hate paper receipts so I'm really liking this option to have them emailed to me read more
