I have never had a bad experience coming here even during christmas when lines are all around the store. Everyone is so helpful and they try to get everybody in and out as quickly as possible, but also take their time when they're helping you. I've never felt rushed when an associate is answering my questions or helping me find a product. I've also had hair services done here and have always been happy when I walk out the door. Today I went in for a haircut for my daughter and myself as I was pulling in I got a call saying that the hair stylist said she thought her Clint before was a hair cut and not high lights. That would of been perfectly fine if I would of got a call an hr or two before not a few minutes before. They did try to help me out and got my daughter with an other hair tech who was very nice and left my daughter beautiful his name memo. As for me I got the original tech who was spouse to do our hair . But right when I sat down Ariel looked at me and said are u okay me doing ur hair. I responded why wouldn't I she reply because I had u waiting right there I should of said no all wait for someone else When she rinse me didn't ask if the water was okay when she finish my hair that she didn't because she didn't do the finish texture she told me am going to move u to an other seat either I or someone else will blow out ur hair. Mine u I was sitting there a few minutes did not see her ask anyone to finish me. Till my daughter ask to speak to a manager and an other employee sort of blow out my hair so my daughter didn't talk to anyone So I do recommend memo for a great job on my daughter hair but other that I had a bad experience. Omg on top of that when I was getting my hair blow out he burn me with the blow dryer to finished this out didn't catch his name. I did pay for my services because I got a service done. The girls closing on 5/11 closed AND locked the doors at 8:22pm when this location closes at 9pm. We even knocked on the door to just come in to quickly grab a product and she insisted that they were already closed. We saw from the outside that there was still customers inside the store and shopping yet both doors were completely locked. Ugly attitudes from the workers. Busy but Nice Ulta! I normally order online and have my items shipped. The items that I order are not always available in store and have no choice but to have them shipped. There was plenty of parking and easy to find. There were some items available in store. I arrived to pick them up and noticed that there was a long line for the cashier. They had some good sales and I decided to check them out. I noticed the line wasn't going down so I went to look for the area to pick up my order. The area to pick up your online order is to the right when you walk in (it used to be by the cashiers). I was helped within a few minutes. Then, once I accepted, they changed their mind and said they would give me a gift card. If I could rate one star I absolutely would. I went in to their salon for a scheduled bang trim. I scheduled with Dalel S. and asked for short, micro bangs. She looked confused as hell and asked what I meant. Micro bangs aren't some niche concept, they're popular and it's your job as a stylist to keep up with trends. I was worried and confused but showed her a couple of references. She absolutely BUTCHERED MY BANGS. I have no idea how they gave that girl her license whatsoever if she can't even trim a bang properly, is that not like one of the first things they teach you in cosmo school? I was pissed and asked for a manager. Martha G. came in and attempted to fix my bangs, but not before giving me an attitude like it was my fault her stylist is incompetent and should probably stay away from scissors forever. She kept me waiting in the chair for 30 min before "fixing" my bangs. Mind you, this is supposed to be a 15 min appointment but I spent almost 2 hours there because of their mistake. I contacted Ulta Corporate and they agreed that my hair looked awful but chose to do nothing to fix it, not even a refund or credit. My advice? Dalel girl, maybe look into another line of work. I've been coming to this store since they opened, and it by far has the worst employees. From bad attitudes, to not wanting to help customers, to them thinking you're always stealing or micromanaging you as you shop making it uncomfortable just to browse products etc. Anytime I've asked One for advice on a product, I'm looked at like I am bothering them so badly. Most of them end up saying they've never used that product or heard of it.. because they probably don't feel like helping or giving their review on it.. To actually flag down an employee that isn't acting extremely busy to help you is nearly impossible here. All the employees are either at the register/ behind the register, micromanaging other employees or in the back hiding. Nobody on the floor that is free to ever give advice or help out paying customers. The security guards are always way more friendly than most employees here. This location is decent! Whenever I am here there is always a line--it is usually quite long and takes some time. I came the other day for an online order and was told by one of the staff to wait in the regular line. The cashier directed me to a different line and no one was there to help me for over 10 minutes. I was in store for a total of 30 minutes waiting for my online order--really defeated the purpose of ordering ahead. It was frustrating seeing staff noticing me waiting but not coming to help me, as well just not being aware of their own lines and designated stations for online orders. read more

I have not been happy with a hairdresser in the last couple of years. I'm so relieved and thrilled that I found a place I can go to now, and it is in the convenience of being in my hometown. I visited the hair salon and had an appointment with Stephanie, I came in with hair that had been neglected and some uneven bleaching. I asked for a touch up on the blonde portion and to dye my hair black all around, I also asked for a U cut trim. Stephanie did a lot more than what I expected. She fixed all the previous bleaching in my hair and really took her time to make sure it came out even without over processing or damaging my hair more than it already was. She didn't cut more than what I asked which I appreciate, she only cut what was damaged and made it U shaped like I asked. My hair looks so shiny and healthy. She gave me instructions on after care and recommended products I can use. I've gotten so many compliments, I'm in love. I will be coming back for a touch up . read more

So I visited this Ulta on August 29th and I got my ears pierced with one of of the girls who was very chill but forgot her name. She was very professional tho. I also got my hair done with josh tho and he made me feel seen he was very compassionate and I prob shouldn't of I was so comfortable with him I think I even trauma dumped. Was feeling so low that day but he def made my frown disappear. He cut wash cut and blow dried my hair and a bit of a unexpected therapy session lol. Anywho he was so sweet and made me laugh and I felt feeling like a different person. It's ppl like that make nervous experience feel like a breeze. Last person to cut my hair was my sister B4 she passed so it was very emotional for me and hard to find someone new to trust. I can't fully explain how much this day helped me and how josh did his thing. He has very light hands like he's just good at what he does. He's very present very knowledgeable kind hearted compassionate professional I mean I can go on and on it this thing has its limitations how much I can write a review about this particular store. I've been to other Ulta's but never have i felt this welcomed at a store even at a beauty salon. Got my daughter's haircut done by Martha G. And I'm extremely disappointed in the outcome of the service. I booked a kids haircut appointment at 1 p.m. I arrived on time. Wasn't checked in until 10-15 mins after. as soon as Martha got through washing my daughter's hair one of her clients walks in and asks if she's available to take her in without an appointment. Martha proceeded to tell the client to wait about 15-20 mins since she was doing a "quick haircut". Well, the haircut was indeed quick. It took martha about 5-8 minutes to mess up (cut) my daughter's hair. after the haircut, she called over her "assistant" to blow dry my daughter's hair and finish off what she should have done. Im very disappointed because Martha left my daughter (who had an appointment) to attend the other client (who didn't have an appointment) which caused her to rush through my daughters haircut leaving it uneven and short. At the end of my service Martha came to the register to charge me. So she was able to charge me but wasn't able to finish my daughter's service? I would not recommend Martha as a hair stylist clearly she cannot do a simple haircut and she'll take in customers with no appointment when she already has an appointment to take care of. 0 stars! Please do better, if someone pays for a service the LEAST you can do is put some effort in your work. read more

This is solely for the restroom . I had to go and asked a worker. They have one single restroom for customers and one for employees. Someone was already waiting so I stood there. When I got inside I should have just walked out but I couldn't wait. It was one of the worst bathrooms! As you can see by the video. I know no one wants to clean a bathroom but it needs to be done. At least check if there's toilet paper and soap! Plus, you have a salon right there where multiple people will use that restroom. I'm pretty sure the employee one is better. read more

I went in wanting to make a purchase. While walking towards the register; I open up the box to make sure the amount of 8 patches were in the box. (I didn't want to wait in the long line, come to find out the number of patches weren't in the box, and that was the last box they had on the floor). An Older lady with blonde hair stop to ask if I needed any help. I said Yes, I don't know if I'm reading this correctly, but can you make sure the correct number of patches are in this box, I'm counting 4. She said, we are not allowed to open up boxes on the floor. She continues to look inside and said yes, the correct amount is in there. I said how can that be the correct amount. The box says 8, there's 4 in there. She looks at me funny and told me, I'm going to take this off the floor and mark this as damage and walk away. Where's her customer service ETIQUETTE? I can only be assuming, that she thought I was a thief, by the way she look at me and walk away without helping me. NEVER AGAIN WILL I WALK INTO ULTA. I visited this place for the 1st time and I shopped a little bit and was guided in the back to get a free estimate on a haircut and only a treatment and nothing more. I met with Maria the Salon Manager who recommended this girl with lots of tattoos and I was informed that her experience was considered a beginner so that's called a "Stylist" so I was given a Salon Menu and in the menu it clearly says a haircut is $57 if you choose a "Stylist" and that includes a FREE added "Deep Treatment" and the Stylists name was Ariel and she was on Instagram so I looked her and her and the Manager lied to me and thought they can scam a Disabled woman and have me a estimate over $250 close to $300 so I called the salon to ask why so much and this Manager Maria and the Stylist became very rude the started to harass me by calling me over and over and I had to block this person on Instagram and on my phone that stylist goes under arielthelittlehaorstylist on Instagram and then Maria started leaving rude messages on my voice mail so I returned the call to this rude Maria and then the General Manager Carrie grabbed the phone and was screaming for no reason. This Carrie is so rude and crazy to be disrespecting to disabled people and I reported this to Corporate and I will never tolerate abuse as a disabled woman. All I wanted was a makeover but I'll go to better professional and not like these crazy woman who think their gonna get away with this. read more

I tend to shop at this Ulta earlier in the morning during the week. This tendency has maximized my overall rating for this Pico Rivera beauty shop. Most recently (12/13/19) Melissa was very sweet at the register and got me back on the road fairly quickly. Ulta always has coupons on their app. Plus they constantly have "days of beauty" sales and flash sales. A working girl can spend a lot of money here if she isn't careful. Lol. This building is visible from Washington Blvd. Parking is free. Cleaner, more organized, and better stock than other Ultas in a 10 miles radius. TIP - personally I hate paper receipts so I'm really liking this option to have them emailed to me read more

The staff here are unprofessional and rude. Unfortunately this is the closest Ulta to me and I have to visit this location often. On various occasions, I have walked in and not been acknowledged. The staff are not approachable and are more interested in carrying their own conversations than helping out. They don't even make the contact and make it seem like you're inconveniencing them by asking for help. Today I came in to make two returns, both purchases made online. I brought the unused, unopened items (all still wrapped in the bubble wrap they came in) with the original receipts. The associate that helped me was inspecting each item very slowly and struggling to open each item while asking me if any of them were used. She was taking them out of the original packaging and asking if they were used. Once she processed the return it was about $108 which she needed a supervisor to approve. The supervisor came over, didn't acknowledge me, gave her the approval and walked away. The associate proceeded to ask me to swipe the Ulta credit card used to make the online purchases. I told her I didn't have the physical card with me and that they were purchased online. Even when I shop in store, they always pressure you to use your Ulta card to get the points and I always tell them I don't have the physical card and they're quick to ask for my ID so they can look it up. The associate called a manager but they never came. She declined my transaction, didn't even offer store credit. It was a terrible experience. read more
