I called to ask if they could fit me in on my lunch owner said yes!!! So I went on my lunch and I was seated and taken care of immediately. A young girl with short hair did an excellent job doing my pedicure and cleaning up my toe nails. She was very thorough and FAST. The gentleman who did my nail fills was also very quick. I previously had a full set done elsewhere 2 weeks ago and it was a complete DISASTER! He managed to fix the hack job i had done without having to take them off and doing a whole new set! Bells Needless to say I am very happy with their service and I was fine BEFORE my lunch break was over. I managed to get back to work on time with new fresh nails and pedicure. Came in for a pedicure. They had a young girl work on my feet. I asked her to cut my nails down. She cut my nails extremely short to the point where she couldn't really even file them without hurting me. Didn't bother to clean underneath my nails, barely cut any cuticles asked her if she could cut the cuticles, a little bit more and you can tell she was extremely bother. When it came time for her to rub my feet, she barely rub my feet I would say a minimum of a minute that's for both feet. Totally was it worth the $30 she charge me. read more

I have been going to this salon for a couple of years now, I live in Whittier but choose to go to this salon in Pico Rivera for a few reasons. The cleanliness, it is one of the cleanest places I have ever been in. The owner and staff have ALWAYS treated me like family since the first time I went there. I use to go to Huntington Beach to get my nails done. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this salon and look forward to years of beautiful nails with them. I would also like to add that I do NOT believe for one minute that any of the staff steals from the clients. She does such a good job cleaning my nails and filing them PERFECTLY. She even helps me pick colors when I can't decide. I always get compliments on my nails because of Kathy. What happened this last time ??:( I'll keep this 5 star up -this one exception but I'm completely unhappy with my mani this last visit. I absolutely love the kind and A-1 service but the woman who gave me my mani had an off day, certainly no other explanation. I'm currently reminding myself that people make mistakes and it's acceptable. But let's be honest, when you pay for a service you hope to get the best of it. I'm going to be honest, i really wanted to like this place because they did do a good job on my fill, but i just can't seem to give it more than two stars because for starters, The lady who did my nails was using the drill file so carelessly. She cut me, and would file for so long in one spot i could feel my nail burning and I would have to pull my hand back to get her to finally stop. The worst part is it happened not once, not twice, but 4 times. then I heard one of the workers Bad mouth a paying customer after she left the salon. And the cherry on top is the prices are ridiculously overpriced for the service they are giving. For a fill with gel, no deaign, no matte top coat, not even a statement nail was $50. I get they're trying to recover from 2020, it at that point they're taking advantage of their customers. I wont be coming back. read more

Here are the good things: They open at 9 AM on weekdays so you can get an early mani before a meeting or appointment. A manicure is $7!! So even with a good tip, you're spending $10. There's a parking lot. Some bad things: * Polish selection is small and the better known more pricey brands aren't stocked - or at least I didn't recognize any of the brands they carried * When we were there, the PTL club (with Pat Robertson) was playing loudly on the big screen TV. This is a show that is going to alienate and probably downright offend a large number of customers. Certainly I was horrified. But then again, it was Election Day and our manicurist shared that her family all voted for Trump. So yeah, game over for me. * While you will get a manicure or a pedicure, don't be expecting anything fancy or amazing. Your nails will be painted. There may be some sloppiness and things like drying tables aren't really a thing here. So sit back and enjoy hard core right wing TV while your nails dry! Praise Jebus. * Also they DO take credit cards but charge $1 extra for the privilege. There's an ATM in the store but surely that will cost you more than the $1 credit/debit card surcharge. They don't sterilize their tools after each person . They have a small machine that holds a few bags of tools but I never see them take any out of it unless they use them on their selves . Facial $35. The experience was maahhh. They use Walmart brand products (I guess you get what you pay for) for this and the room in which is done is so tiny I kept bumping into the esthetician. The room seems to be an addition to place as there is a gap on the top of the tiny room which brings all the noise from the nail salon into the tiny room. On top of that my esthetician started yelling instructions to the people outside right in the middle of the facial. :( Mani and Pedi 20. This was ok considering that I brought my own polish. The lady who did my mani and pedi went at the cuticles but barely file my nails, as a result I eneded up with all crooked nails which I had to refile as soon as my nails were dry. I found this place because I was staying at the hotel right across from this plaza. The staff here are all very friendly and nice. The man who did my nails took his time and made sure that it was the shape that I wanted it to be. He took his time to perfect each and every nail. When he applied the gel and he thought it needed to be fixed, he scrubbed off all the gel, files my nails, and redid them with patience. I also got to interact with Christine. When she's done with her customer, she also came by and tried to get to know me more. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT DISEASE OR INFECTION! MY STORY: So I've been to this salon a few times, the owner and her staff seem friendly and prices are affordable BUT I'm not giving a 1 star for no reason... my last visit I came in for a fill the tech left my nails and cuticle beds so cut up they were sore for days afterwards...I chose to cut them slack and give them another chance since I did enjoy the ambience. I got my nails done and a pedicure and both of your techs somehow managed to make me bleed! The nail tech used new nail tips to remove a broken nail that I had, she was so rough she ripped my nail and had the audacity to tell me if it hurt why didn't I say something... so me pulling my hand away from you saying ouch wasn't a clue? So as my finger is bleeding she continues on applying glue touching the glue tip to my bloody finger and begins adding acrylic mixing blood with the product! I couldn't believe it so I asked her to stop and clean it she seemed upset and said no better to leave it...um no I'll do without the infection please thank you. smh. She stomped away too get some antiseptic, mind you I'm getting a pedicure done at the same time the girl is over clipping my cuticles down to nothing so I told her its hurting that's enough so she goes on to start painting my toes... notices a tiny piece of skin and goes to clip it and boom I'm bleeding! I know I know its got to be my fault now right cuz I'm just bleeding all over the place for no reason at all. But it gets worse, she CONTINUES painting my toes I watched her with my own eyes dip the paint right through my bloody toe right back into the nail polish (#011 on the gel choices in case anyone is wondering is tainted with my blood) she did it several times ignoring my request to stop, my fiance actually had to step in at this point to clean my bleeding toe. The tech has the nerve to be upset and walks away to get my sandals. Cool cuz I'm ready to go, thanks for the hepatitis hiv cocktail that I paid for!!! She put the nail tip she used to make my finger bleed back into the case to use on the next person, she never once cleaned the blood from the cuticle clippers just put them back in the case smh So unsanitary and disgusting! You are exposing unknowing clients to diseases and infections with these type of practices and I will never step back into your salon, you should be reported to the health department! read more

Christine and her husband always keep the salon very clean and sanitized. During the pandemic, they made sure to follow guidelines, spacing customers out and ensuring everyone would wear a mask. Christine and her staff have kept their customers for years because of their quality service and their ability to make their customers feel relaxed and at home. I needed a quick pedicure and saw the decent reviews on Yelp. Like another reviewer said, it is very clean inside. I went on a weekday afternoon and did not have to wait at all. The staff was very friendly (when they spoke in English). I say this because another pair of young girls went in and told the staff what they wanted. After they started on her, they did a service she did not ask for and said she'd have to pay even though she didn't want it. She argued with them and they were nice in English but started speaking in Vietnamese and were giving her horrible looks. But this service is not about their experience, it's about mine. I liked the way my pedicure came out but the woman was a bit rough and I left with a bloody toe. I told her it hurt and she put alcohol and neosporin on it. I'm hoping that it's because I haven't had a pedicure in a while and the dry skin needed to be removed. Anyway, the main 'con' I have with this place is that they try to upsell you on everything. When I went in I told them I wanted a pedicure and the woman sits me down and says "you want manicure and pedicure, right?"...then I say I want a simple polish and she says "you should get a design on it"...then she says I need to pay $5 extra to remove calluses. Then I should pay extra for a calf massage. And when I refused, she kept insisting. She was nice about it (probably doing her job the way she was taught) but it's a bit annoying when you have to keep saying no over and over again. All in all, I like that I didn't have to wait for service. But I'm not a fan of my bloody toe or multiple refusals for services I didn't ask for in the first place. read more

I would love to make this a zero star rating:( i have been coming to this place for most of my life but i have had a bad experience. Christine has been the only person to do my eyebrows there. Until today:( i was assigned to someone else mind you i have a birth mark I'm super insecure about on my eyebrow and i had hair that covered it although the hair wasn't too thick it was a MEANT TO BE THERE. I stumbled upon this nail spot when I was looking to get my nails done in a hurry. They are excellent for manicures and pedicures but I had gel nails done twice here and they were horrible. The first time, the gel nails came apart at the side while the second time the nail color started cracking and it looked like I had spider webs on my nails. This took place within 4 days of getting them done which is not cool since its a costly and time consuming process. I took another star off because they have like 1 Essie and OPI nail polish so bring your own or settle for the two colors they have if thats important to you. I will be back for sure to get my nails done but only the basics. read more
