I had been waiting months and decided to treat my mom and sister to pedicures for my mom's birthday. we figured out the best date & time but since my work schedule wasn't set yet, I just wanted an idea of what other times were open that weekend before her birthday. The first woman I spoke to didn't seem to understand what I was asking, and before I could clarify, another lady grabbed the phone and--while I was mid-sentence--began yelling "HELLO HELLO HELLOOOO." When I asked if she had just interrupted me, she said, "Yes, because you aren't understanding." That level of disrespect is unacceptable. Whether or not there was miscommunication, no client, especially a first-time client, deserves to be spoken to like that. At that point, I decided to end the call. This was actually my second rude experience here. The first time I called months ago, the person who answered was also extremely dismissive, so I didn't book then either. I gave it another chance, hoping it was just a bad day, but clearly this is how they choose to treat people. By luck, I found this little shop and I have never looked back since!! Not only are they very serious about cleanliness, but the nail tech I have worked with, Yasmin, is super meticulous with her work. Also, if you're into getting structured nails with builder gel, this is the place to go. You know how hard it is to find a nail tech who actually knows the technique to make the nails last. I am super hard on my hands and I've gotten good results with her work! One of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to getting services is feeling rushed, but that has never been the case here. I live in West Covina and drove to Whittier bc it's the closest that offers Russian manicures. I set the appointment up with a $25 deposit. I showed up and extremely impressed with how clean it was and how cleaned it smelled! Yeraldin let me know that it would take time to get my hands to look well (that's how bad my cuticles were). She got to work and was very considerate asking if I was in any pain. Even though she said it would be a process she was wrong bc she worked a MIRACLE on my hands!! They look beautiful. There are not many places that offer Russian mani/pedi unless you want to drive to Glendale or further! I live close to DT Long Beach so i decided to give them a try and have been returning each month since December 2023. Alejandra's place is immaculate when it comes to cleanliness. All of the technicians are kind, welcoming and highly trained. I always see Jeraldine who is better than my doctor at removing ingrown nails! They offer Gel, Gelx and acrylic. The lack of experience was evident, and I had to endure the owner speaking poorly about her clients, including derogatory comments about their feet and race (specifically Caucasian clients). Such great attention to detail and very crisp lines and not a bad price point either for the basic at $45 including gel polish. I never once felt rushed during my appt. After searching for several weeks to find a nail salon that could do Russian manicures & pedicures in my area I came across Alejandra Dream nails online ads. The before and after pictures were amazing so I decided to give them a try! I got a fungus at another nail salon and Alejandra is certified in Chiropody which is basically cleaning up helping the nail heal from the fungus. My new favorite nail salon. I recently moved to La Mirada from OC. I had tried many other nails salons in the area and no one could get my nails the way I'm used to. That's until my daughter found this Latina owned gem!
