Sad with how my nails turned out. Pedicure was good but my gel ombre nails turned out bad. It was $49 for gel mani and regular pedicure + $10 for the ombre, so $59 total. Price was ok but the lady doing my hands made one of my fingers bleed. There was also also a buncha lint and dirt/hair under the gel. I pointed it out to the lady but she said it's not lint... she also tried to gaslight me and say it's actually the contour of my nail lol I just got them done today but I'm worried they won't last and will lift because there's a thick layer of gel polish around my cuticle. I found Rose Nails searching for a good nail salon. The last nail salon i went to all my nails broke off (dip) in 4 days. I called Rose Nails thinking they would be booked due to the Xmas holiday rush, but i was able to squeeze in. I walked in and it was a bit busy however, i was seated very quickly. I had Julia on my manicure and Joanna on my pedicure. Im sure they thought i was such a clown, as i didnt know what i wanted nor had a picture. I was very indecisive but they helped me through it without making me feel like i was wasting time. Both ladies were wonderful, sweet very gentle. we laughed thoughout the service. I get my nails here done often I've been here a couple of times for the past three years but my mom is a regular and we have always been happy with their work, more than other salons in the Whittier, area. The owner and staff are kind and you're greeted immediately upon arrival once seated they give you a complimentary water bottle. I can appreciate that. I have taken my kids with me and the owner has provided snacks and played with my toddler during the time being. She doesn't have too but it's very much appreciated for the help provided. Parking is limited Walk in to dim lighting Greeted Sat down I literally should have left after seeing old and I mean old nail polish that was dusty on the wall I just wanted a basic full set, medium coffin. My nails are square uneven, polished my skin, did not polish my full nail on some fingers, glued my skin. I can go on. My nails are so ugly. She asked how it was but when I told her about my thumbs she made it even worse. 8pm and my pinky nail broke off already. Wtf This place went downhill for sure. Finally sat down & the woman began my full set & it was fine. Then she cut my finger a little, it happens I didn't mind at all. Then it continues to happen.. to every single finger on my left hand. No apologies, couldn't even bother to stop the blood just continued like it was nothing. Then the towel gets on my wet nail & she tells me I need to "pay attention." I went in for a fill and I had a French tip , I wanted the same design French too just a different color polish for the top. I had a very neutral color that one of their other ladies did my nails with last time , however this lady who did my fill used a visibly lighter color and then tried to cover it with nude polish, THEN the black one. it doesn't blend at all and all I can see are the lines where she was drilling. she didnt even bother to check the nails to make sure they were the same size and shape. the French tip is very crooked and lines aren't straight. it was a lazy job and she charged $40 for a simple fill. read more

This was my first time at this salon. I recently moved here so I was looking for a new salon. The reviews were mixed but a lot of good pictures for acrylics. I decided to give it a shot. I did a walk in for a pedi/acrylic removal/gel manicure. I was greeted right away. Served water and seated before I could even look at the colors. I sat down and the water for my pedi wasn't warm. The nail tech touched the water and didn't see anything wrong with it. She did an okay job. Nothing spectacular about the pedicure and no packages offered. Also to note, she didn't ask what color I wanted on my toes. I had intentions of doing yellow. I added in the callus remover. When she put in the clear gel for the callus, my feet sat in newspaper. I thought that was odd when everywhere else uses some sort of plastic. Oh and almost forgot! I did NOT see them open new nail tools. I hope they were clean and I don't get an infection. Now onto my manicure. This I have a major issue with. I asked for acrylic removal then gel manicure. I believe my nail tech's name was John. He was pressing on keeping acrylic. He removed it and when he was almost done one of the nails wasn't really budging. Instead of going slow, he just ripped it off and I instantly felt pain! I knew my real nail ripped off. I scream "ouch!!" And looked down to see my bloody finger. I said "did you rip off my nail?!" And he responded with "that happens sometimes." I've been getting acrylics for almost 10yrs and that had NEVER happened. He used a napkin to press on it for a second then without asking my permission or any warning, he put some sort of liquid on my nail. I again said "ouch!" It stung very badly. Then again without my permission or warning, he put nail glue on my open wound. I asked him "did you just put glue on my nail?!" And he responded with "yes it will help stop the bleeding." Even if it does, I did not give him permission to do so. And he did not even apologize! I should've walked out but I didn't. I stayed and got s terrible manicure. I asked for all of my nails to be even. Not close to even. I was so upset I wasn't even paying attention. I just wanted to get my mani/pedi and get out. I DO NOT recommend this nail salon. I'm extremely upset with the service from John, and I still had to pay for it. HIGHLY dissatisfied. Never going again and I'll be telling my friends not to go here. read more

Love this nail salon! Walked in today, Saturday July 17 around 5pm without an appointment and they sat us right away. My daughter had a full set done by a sweet older man. Didn't get his name but he was nice, quick, and made sure he was doing everything the way we wanted it. She had nude powder dip, purple gel for the tip and a small rhinestone on ring finger. This time, I got the worst and my first case of paronychia of my life. The lady doing my gel pedicure was going hard asf at my cuticle on my big toe, making me bleed and feel so uncomfortable. Maybe it was a combination of that forcefulness along with using unsterilized tools. I left with immediate pain in my right big toe.
