Super ANNOYED AND DISAPPOINTED I WAITED 20 minutes with my feet soaking when I had called and they had said they were available for a pedicure. I was waiting as one lady sat doing her own nails after 20 minutes I said I would like to leave and she the lady who was doing her own nails said ohh I'll do them now I forgot. I said no thank you I will go somewhere else since you were busy and forgot. Why would I give my money to someone who forgot. Clearly her own pedicure was more important. Pretty sure she was the owner because she's the one always telling people what to do. I've been here so many times and my past few times weren't the best experience. THIS WAS THE END FOR ME. read more

I went to get a pedicure and no matter how much I jumped or told the nail tech that she was hurting me, she kept smiling and cutting deeper. I don't recommend this place at all. It's been a week and I'm still in pain and discomfort. My feet ache. read more

If I could give 10 stars, I would. They have been incredibly accommodating considering I have very limited time with my newborn. I really appreciate these ladies have made the experience fast and reliable without compromising quality. read more

It's so relaxing to come here. The ladies are so sweet, and will remember you even if you move away for a few years and come back like I did. When I moved back to Whittier, I stopped coming here because they're always busy and an appointment is strongly recommended. I don't normally know when I'll have time to get my nails done, so I opted for a place that took more walk-ins, and they ended up ruining my nails. So I came back to Joy Nail and two mani/pedis later, my nails feel strong again. My gel mani also lasted a month! They have so many good quality colors to choose from and they're always so sweet, prioritizing your relaxation. I won't stray again! read more

I had such a good experience at Joy Nails and Spa! They took me and my sister right away for two pedicures with no appointment. Good quality work and the women working were funny and kind and made conversation with us! I will be returning:) read more

Worse nail job I've ever had , my nails don't look nice and she didn't cut my cuticles . The lady was so rough with my fingers. I had it done at 10 am And 2 of my nails are still hurting now and is already 6 pm . And she was not friendly at all Too bad I didn't get her name. Obvious NOT going back to this place . read more

Rude. Absolutely rude. They speak to you and act like your the biggest bother and all I asked was if I can please get a manicure pedicure? I felt discriminationed against. I will NEVER come back. It's one thing to suggest coming back at a later time. It's another thing to speak down to me with the worst attitude and look at ne with disgust. Learn some skills. read more

I highly recommend Beth for pedicures!! Give her a try you won't regret it!! All the manicurists are good and very nice!!

I have been to Joy Nails a few times and every time I am pleased with my experience. I am rating 4/5 stars because the receptionist was pretty rude and gave me attitude for paying with card. I do appreciate that this salon has a stamp card, so at the 10th visit you get a free mani. Nails: I just came in this week to get a manicure and my lady was named Yvonne she was nice but there are some minor flaws with her job on my nails she didn't get the sides of my inner nail on a couple of my finger nails. She was really kind though and gave me a complimentary water during my wait. I will definitely come back because the prices are great and I like how they have a lot of color choices. read more

Beware ‍ The lady very rude her name is Carmen she was looking around but not my finger when she cut me in blood. I was bleeding and she has no apology just start my nail . I refused I told her you can't do my gel without clean my blood. Then she took out a very dirty towel. I took my hands back . I told her you can't clean my bleeding finger with that dirty towel. Long story short she refused to do my gel. Just told me set to the next lady's chair. Told her to do my gel. The second lady she is better but not good at doing nails and also her customer was waiting . she is very rash. Then after two days my nails begin crack and bobbles . I paid $50+$10tip. But this nail spay was very disrespectful and terrible works. So this is the reason why I have to give them 1 read more

Never going back. The one lady who did my pedicure was nice and did a good job. However the other lady who did my mani clearly did not care. She was very rough, was hardly looking at what she was doing and left all my nails uneven, rough around the edges, lumpy, and left nail polish all over my hands. The vibe there was also kind of off when I got there if that makes sense. I felt uncomfortable. Should have taken that as a sign and gone elsewhere. I would never recommend this place again. read more

Follow up on my review from last night about my service done on Monday. I just walked out of the salon with no refund or free manicure. The manager (which I assume she is) told me it's out of her control and she doesn't guarantee how long a regular polish will last. I explained to her that I work in education, I'm not rough with my nails. She Blamed it on the fact that we wash our hands so much. Ummm no. I have gotten many regular polish manicures and they last 7-10 days not 4! I would've appreciated just a new color, not the whole manicure all over again. The manager didn't offer anything. Her words exactly "I don't care". I can't stand cheap nail salons. I was desperate and I came here, but I'm sticking to my girls at Cielo beauty bar in Uptown Whittier! Check them out. read more

After several disappointing nail salons in my local area, I decided to broaden my search and go a few miles away from home. I found this nail salon via Yelp. I called on a Saturday morning and they said if I could get there within 20 minutes I'd be attended to immediately. Vroom vroom ! Off I went. This nail salon is located in a shopping center, as most nail salons are. The nail shop environment is clean despite how busy it is. The ladies are professional and hospitable. I've felt comfortable in every visit. I decided to get acrylic nails after many years of not having acrylics. The last few times I've had acrylic nails, after a week or so they chip or peel off. Yes! Peel off! Not these acrylics. So far they've remained sturdy and chip proof. There are plenty of stations for nails and toes to be worked on. The ladies work speedily and still do a great job. They're honest too. On my first visit I told my nail tech that I wanted a specific design. When she was done with the acrylic application she handed me over to another nail tech who could finish the job. My nails looked great and I received so many compliments! I loved my nails so much I couldn't wait to go back and get them filled. And then a second time. Each time these ladies have done a great job with my nails. I'm so happy with this nail salon, I'm looking forward to more visits . Just check out the hours! Lastly, Lily is a great nail tech! read more

Normally they're great. I usually get a gel and matte acrylic set. Today I wanted something more special for my graduation, but instead I get lines. I asked for ombré, and normally I'm not picky whatsoever, but it's my college graduation & it's something extra special in my family. Come here for anything else BUT ombré. read more

The two stars I'm giving are for their cleanliness and use of new tools on each client. I appreciate a clean salon. I went on Friday July 27th to get a gel manicure and I just noticed TWO of my nails are chipped on Wednesday August 1st. In 5 days my nails are chipping. I'm extremely disappointed, I basically got regular polish nails for the price of gel. I decided to give them a call today to give them a second chance and they don't pick up! I've called a few times during their hours and they have not answered nor given me a call back. I will not be going back. And I'm not the only one with this issue, I've seen various reviews and people in person complain about their gel chipping when I went to get my nails done. I should have walked out when I heard those complaints...don't make the same mistake I made! read more

This place has the best service thus far! It was my first time coming here and it certainly won't be the last!! When you come here, ask for Kelly. She is the best and is really good with conversations. She knew exactly what style I was going for and she executed it very well! This place has a wide range of selections so there's no way you won't be able to find the color you want. The decor is really nice and gives off a nice atmosphere. It's not stuffy and cramped like most places. Overall, I would give this place 5! read more

The opposite of joy. I do not recommend this place. I came last Wednesday and am writing a review a week later. I wasn't happy with the way the gel manicure looked uneven and thick and then it all peeled off completely two days later. I went back requesting a refund because I didn't have time to wait and the salon is away from my usual commute but Jenny persisted I get it redone. When I told her I didn't have time, she persisted to have me come back and then asked me to point out who did my manicure. I honestly couldn't remember who did my manicure and that I was taken aback from her tone, I continued to tell her that I just preferred a refund. She then yelled at me that it was my fault for not coming sooner and soon our discussion had everyone in the salon would turn to look over at us. I don't know if she was having a bad day but for this treatment I absolutely do not recommend this place. It's not even a review for the poor nail job at this point but I feel like writing this for the way Jenny handled the situation. She could have approached it in a calmly manner and let me know right off the bat that their policy is nonrefundable (they have a sign that says that and it was later pointed out). The situation went out of hand from there and I felt extremely uncomfortable as a customer to ever want to return. read more

He was very nice and did an amazing job, he knew what he was doing and I love my nails. I will continue to com e to this nail salon and tell my girls about it. This place is horrible now. They overcharge you, don't really do what designs you want and blatantly talk about you upon arrival.
